Southeast Insecurity: Government Aims To Rally The People Against IPOB

By Eluwa Chidiebere Chinazu | Biafra Writers

August 17th, 2023.

Before this wind of insecurity in southeast gummed on the lips of the Nigerian media, the Southeast region has for long been militarized to the brim. Just as with every other territory under military siege in the world, the soldiers assigned to this region have been committing all manner of crimes mostly in the night. They rape, rob, extort, and harass citizens without provocation. Fortunately for the region however, IPOB emerged.

The rise of insecurity in the region and the consequent spurious moves by the Nigerian government and its pocketed duplicitous media to profile the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) as the culprit, call for urgent attention. Before  we get bamboozled by the enemy media and so cast our stone at IPOB, let us ponder on the processes that brought insecurity into existence in the region. Let's ask ourselves how the insecurity in the Southeast began, what caused it, who is behind it and who fought against it? These are the synoptical questions that will not only help us ascertain the perpetrators but also equip our minds to be able to digest the enemy's scheme in accusing IPOB.

Whenever the issue of southeast insecurity is presented on the table, the Fulani movement called Fulani Nationalism and popularly known as Ruga, should come to mind. The Buhari government through Ruga occasioned insecurity on regions opposed to it. Many lives and properties were destroyed trying to force it on the people. IPOB being the single most important body in that vehement rejection, became an enemy of the government.

Ruga massacred families, heightened tension, destroyed homes and means of livelihood. The horrible stories of an old women raped in their farms, young girls gangraped, mother and child butchered in their farms, villages burnt etc, were no good news at all. IPOB rose to the occasion.

It is said that politics and insecurity are one. The stealing of the people's mandate through the government's impossition of Hope Uzodinma as the governor of Imo State was to foster the implementation of Ruga. It was also to punish the southeast region that stood against Ruga through IPOB. By stealing the people's mandate, the government created insecurity.

In a sane society that endorses democracy, protest remains one of the machineries citizens register their feelings. But in a flamboyant disregard to its own law, Nigerian government went ahead to massacre IPOB protesters, creating unnecessary tensions and insecurity.

If the government intention was never to get at IPOB by creating insecurity in the most peaceful region in the country, what then was the reason behind the massacres.  If the government should enforce a movement that decapitates her citizens, who then occasioned insecurity upon the region?

In all intent and purposes, the Nigerian government in their desperation to demonize IPOB, wants to rally the people against IPOB by accusing IPOB of being behind the insecurity in southeast. My advice to the people is to stay focused and don't get hoodwinked by the brown-envelope Nigerian media lies.

Biafra War II- What To Expect

By Eluwa Chidiebere Chinazu | Biafra Writers

August 9th, 2023.

On May 27th, 1967, the Chiefs and Elders representing the Eastern Nigeria, after due consideration of the dangers living in Nigeria poses, went ahead to mandate His Excellency, Lieutenant Colonel Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, the then Military Governor of Eastern Nigeria, to declare the Eastern Nigeria an independent state known as the Republic of Biafra.

The aftermath of this declaration is the Biafra-Nigeria war. Nigeria was the aggressor. The war which lasted from 1967-1970 was spuriously declared no victor no vanquished even though the three Rs(Rehabilitation, Reconciliation and Reconstruction) were swept under the carpet.

The war ended in 1970 but the heroic deeds of the Biafran people still dominate the media and resonate till date. Within just three years of independence, Biafrans attained a feat that no African country has ever attained up till now. At the time when technology was at its infancy, Biafra became the first and only African country to build and successfully launch a rocket system and a submarine. Biafrans invented their own bomb and spoke to the world through a telecommunication system engineered by local ingenuity. They built armoured tanks, cars, extracted and refined petrol with their own indigenous technology called the 'The Biafran pot.' Etc.

These were in more than 50 years ago when technology has not become a source of income in Biafra. In recent time, technology has become a means of survival for many in Biafra. There are more than fifteen cities in Biafra land today that are known for their geniuses in technology.

These cities are specialists in duplicating,  reproducing and refurbishing all kinds of technologies they can see or lay hands on. Many of them are hiding from the Nigerian government.

In addition to this, many inventions have been seen on social media and these are coming from Biafrans. According to a Yoruba man, if the Nigerian government is reasonable enough, they should invest a little in technology using Biafrans, because these people are talented in technology.

All over the world Biafrans are making breakthroughs in technology. If these talents could be brought together in a war, the world should be ready for very shocking inventions that would rock the earth. A people don't know their capabilities until they are pushed to war which goes to buttress the conviction that necessity breeds invention.

In Nigeria, Biafrans are found in all states much more than any other tribe. This is so even as Nigerian authority in its duplicity portrays Biafran population as low in census. If such a people decides to take up arms, to destroy the Nigeria will be very easy as infiltration will be carried out without much obstruction.

A planned war cannot be compared to an unplanned war. The first happened abruptly without enough time to plan. Now there's enough time to plan and enough chances to achieve whatever goal one desires.

There are millions of reasons and motivations to push a Biafran to war. On the other hand, anyone who dies for Nigeria would be considered a fool by the relatives and friends. Nigeria has pushed her citizens to the wall, majority have lost hope in Nigeria. Will Nigeria be left to perish by her inhabitants? Your answer is as good as mine.
