Kanu Debunks Nelly Ofoegbu’s Claims, Clears Nnennaya, Carolyn, and Kanuta

Kanu Debunks Nelly Ofoegbu’s Claims, Clears Nnennaya, Carolyn, and Kanuta

By Charles Opanwa | Biafra Times

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has debunked the widely spread lies of one Dr. Nelly Ofoegbu about his abduction in Kenya. Recall that Nelly Ofoegbu who formerly occupied the position of Assets Recovery Officer, IPOB, USA chapter, was expelled from IPOB for gross misconduct and treacherous deeds. Acting out the script of her pay masters, Nelly has been on blackmailing spree, accusing IPOB’s Head of Finance, Madam Nnennaya Anya, P.A. to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Ms. Carolyn Okoroafor, and younger brother to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Kingsley Kanunta Kanu, of being behind his illegal abduction and extraordinary rendition from Kenya to Nigeria.

Dr. Nelly Ofoegbu became infamous after the illegal abduction of Kanu in Nairobi, Kenya, with her scripted allegations against the trio (Nnennaya Anya, Carolyn Okoroafor, and Kanunta). Destroying from within, she had flagrantly accused the trio of sabotaging Kanu’s moves and selling him off to Nigerian government and their Kenyan collaborators. Dr. Ofoegbu, popularly known within the IPOB family as “Madam Accuser”, has been going from one platform to another trying to sell the false narratives that the trio have a hand in Kanu’s ordeal.

In a statement released by Kanu’s lawyer, Barr Ifeanyi Ejiofor, and tweeted by Kanu’s Special Counsel, Barr Aloy Ejimakor, Kanu expressed his displeasure over the false narrative. Kanu also compelled Biafrans and all his followers worldwide to disregard the lies and their peddlers.

Dr. Nelly Ofoegbu has since been expelled by IPOB Worldwide. The expulsion memo obtained by Eastern Pilot dated 16th September 2021 and signed by the Head of Directorate of State, Mazi Chika Edoziem, read in parts:

“The Directorate of State of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has deemed it pertinent to once again remind all principal servants of IPOB that one of the fundamental guiding principles of this great movement is the principle of Command and Control. Discipline and obedience to constituted authority are key part of this principle.

“Having constituted an insufferable nuisance to IPOB family worldwide, and for continually engaging in acts that undermine the guiding principles, the fundamental objectives and the Structure of this great movement, Mrs Nelly Ofoegbu is hereby relieved of her responsibility as IPOB Assets Recovery Officer and expelled forthwith from IPOB.

“The Directorate of State of the Indigenous People of Biafra wish to unambiguously restate that this great movement led by Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has no place for those with hidden motives and agendas. Anyone that desires to belong to IPOB family MUST adhere to IPOB rules and regulations. Every IPOB principal officer must immediately disassociate him/herself from and cease further communication with the expelled individual, Ignore this directive at your own peril.”

That Nelly is doing the bidding of her Fulani masters is obvious, especially with Kanu himself debunking her claims.

Blackmailing Civil Disobedience a Sign of No Repentance

By Eluwa Chidiebere Chinazu | Biafra Writers

October 28th, 2021.

For some years now, divergent opinions have questioned IPOB strategy and suggested the group holds eastern political leaders responsible for the dilapidated state the region has found itself in. If not any other thing, such opinions suggest that the political leaders are the people’s doom.

But holding the said leaders responsible without providing an opportunity for them to retrace their steps first would have seemed that IPOB is using a sledge hammer unjustly. On the other hand, availing them a chance to prove that they have repented will justify IPOB’s actions against them in the nearest future.

It therefore becomes incumbent on IPOB to let the world know that on many occasions the people of Biafra have opened the door for dialogue but the supposed leaders shut it up, refusing to repent of their wrongdoings. No remorse or whatsoever, choosing instead to work against any measure the people employ to free selves from Fulani stranglehold.

When Biafrans protest, the supposed leaders invite the military to massacre them. When Biafrans create a security outfit to protect them from Fulani herders terrorizing them in their farms, the political leaders in conjunction with Nigerian government fight them, to the extent of floating a terrorist group called the Unknown Gunmen just to blackmail the security outfit.

Now that the people have resorted to a sit-at-home protest, the same leaders have launched stellar media propaganda to blackmail the exercise, with claims that sit-at-home protest will cripple the economy of the region and endear the federal government to declare a state of emergency in the region. As if that is not enough, they have also condemned the boycott of Anambra election, stating that it will pave way for the Nigerian military to take over the state. Isn't it laughable to know that these leaders always have something to say to blackmail any exercise the people engage in to emancipate themselves from the clutches of tyranny?

One begins to wonder if IPOB is the first in the world to employ the instrument of election boycott and sit-at-home exercises. Civil disobedience is a worldwide tool, IPOB only borrowed the strategy haven seen its potency. If it yielded good results for those that used it in the past, it’s only wise that IPOB adopts it.

Mahatma Gandhi used election boycott in India’s struggle for independence. The Montgomery bus boycott organized by Martin Luther King Jr. from 1955 to 1956 proved to the white supremacists in Alabama and across the U.S. that Black Americans could yield their economic power in pursuit of their civil rights. The same goes to sit-at-home process.

These leaders know too well what they are doing; their aim to stalemate the struggle and use the imprisonment of Kanu to harvest political gains for their respective families is what is fueling this blackmail. Electioneering has for decades strangulated the Biafran economy because it always ends in the installation of kleptomaniac and selfish leaders whose mission is to dry the coffers of their various states in order to give a better life to their families.

WE HAVE NO HAND IN THE ATTACK OF GOV. WILLIE OBIANO - IPOB

October 14, 2021

IPOB PRESS STATEMENT

We the global movement and family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by our great and indefatigable leader Mazi Nnamdi KANU, strongly condemn the spate of senseless attacks on innocent people in South East by politically-recruited hoodlums masquerading as unknown gunmen.

It is quite unfortunate that some unpatriotic and unscrupulous elements who are intimidating their fellow politicians because of the November 6 governorship election in Anambra State will resort to bloodletting for power. More annoying is the fact that after their atrocities, some brainwashed fellows will be pointing accusing fingers at IPOB.

We condemn the attack on Gov. Willie Obiano of Anambra State yesterday. Contrary to allegations by our enemies, IPOB has no hand in the said attack. It is now becoming more obvious that those Gov. Obiano accused of masterminding the killings in his state are angry with him for exposing them. The South East governors that Obiano said he would not sit at table with to discuss insecurity in his state should be made to explain all they know about the senseless killings in Anambra State.

We pity those who are chasing after shadow, pointing accusing fingers at IPOB. Such fellows are ignorant of what politicians are capable of doing because of power. Igbo politicians were not like this before but desperation for power and determination by Fulani cabal to replicate what happened in Imo State in Anambra State are the reason for this madness. Their ultimate goal is to demonize IPOB.

Our people must shine their eyes because fulani have planted their terrorists in our territory to eliminate high profile Biafrans.  Those self acclaimed Igbo Elite, Ohaneze leaders, traditional rulers and religious leaders must look inward to fish out these FULANI-sponsored agents of death. They should stop linking IPOB with these killings because IPOB did not come to kill but to save, restore and rebuild.

Unknown gunmen: ESN, we know; who are you?

By Eluwa Chidiebere Chinazu | Biafra Writers

October 11th, 2021.

A couple of days ago, the youth wing of Ohanaeze - a political organization in Southeast Nigeria - called on the leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to disband the Eastern Security Network (ESN). ESN is a security outfit launched by the IPOB to "protect, and safeguard the entire Biafra territory from the oppression of Fulani killer-herdsmen".

According to the Ohanaeze youth, the ESN should be disbanded because of the different killings going on in the Southeast which ESN was said to have been involved.

However, there has been several attacks by unidentified thugs whom have been christened  "unknown gunmen" by the masses.

It is on record that the govenors in the Southeast; otherwise, the 'chief security officers' of their respective States, have many a time made empty calls of curbing the seeming security challenges. In the stead of effecting the latter, they went as far as creating Ebubeagu security outfit to rival the activities of ESN. The Southeast political leaders since the formation of ESN have never failed to make clear their aim which is to get rid of the ESN security arm of the Biafran people.

Now the big question; who are the unknown gunmen? The ESN, we know, and have been seen on peculiar times; via video clips driving the dreaded Fulani herders away; but the "unknown gunmen" - as the preceding adjective implies - have yet to reveal their identikit. To that effect; it is, of course, hard to find the sponsors of a group of armed men whose identity is yet to be discovered. But connecting statements and reactions, one could have a hold onto something.

On October 3, 2021, the home of prominent Igbo politician, Joe Igbokwe, was razed (by fire) by these unidentified hoodlums. Within two hours of the incident, IPOB was said to have had a hand in the arson attack; without proof to backing it up. To all intents, it is probable that Joe Igbokwe might have planned the attack on his house, and had cooked up what to say in the aftermath. This is to give IPOB, whom he ridiculed (knelt down in praise to God) when its leader was renditioned by the Nigerian government, a bad name. Joe Igbokwe could be one of the politicians sponsoring this unknown gunmen.

To kill a great man, you should first kill their name. The political class from Biafraland is on a mission to give Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and IPOB a bad name; in order to them appear rebellious. The reason for creating the character called unknown gunmen is evident in the call by the youth wing of the political group Ohanaeze and the false claim of another politician, Joe Igbokwe.

Unknown Gunmen, Nigeria’s Card against Biafra Restoration

By Onoja Christian Obinna | Biafra Writers

October 7th, 2021.

Right from the day of the Northern and Southern amalgamation that gave birth to what is now called Nigeria by Frederick John Dealtry Lugard, a British colonial representative, the South East has suffered enormously from all governments. The people of Igbo nation have always been targeted for extermination, a situation that caused the people to seek a country of their own, Biafra.

The young republic led by late general Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu was met with a war of aggression by the Nigerian government then led by Yakubu Gowon – a war that lasted three years and claimed the life of over three million Biafran civilians from 1967-'70.

To assuage the damage in Biafra, the federal government of Nigeria had come up with the 3R’s (Rehabilitation, Reconstruction and Reintegration). The government soon renegaded on its promises, however, and this is believed to be responsible for the resurgence of Biafra agitation in the present day.

Despite the No Victor No Vanquish proclamation by Nigerian government, the horrors of war are made even more intense with government policies targeted at the Biafran. Practically all sectors of government in Nigeria reflect a master/servant arrangement.

KANU AND THE REBIRTH OF BIAFRA STRUGGLE

In early 2012, a young prince named Nnamdi Okwu Kanu from Isiama Afara-ukwu Ibeku in Abia state was inspired to resurrect the Biafra agitation having had his years of studies in Britain.

He instituted a radio station (Radio Biafra London) through which he preached the gospel of liberation for the people of eastern Nigeria, a cause he was so much dedicated to till he was arrested by Nigerian government. The arrest sparked heavy protests in all states of eastern Nigeria – the region he has been campaigning for dismemberment from the larger Nigeria. The protesters were meted with a lethal force by the Nigerian security forces.  Many unarmed civilians were killed. It was so gruesome that even Amnesty international reported it.

On 28 April 2017, Kanu was released from prison on stringent bail conditions. As he awaited his court appearance day, the Nigerian military invaded his home, killing 28 men in a bid to get at him. The trauma resulted in the demise of his parents. Kanu who had miraculously survived the attack went incommunicado for thirteen months, resurfacing in Jerusalem to the chagrin of Nigerian government.

FULANI HERDSMEN MENACE IN BIAFRA LAND

The incessant attacks, killing and rapping of Biafrans in their farmlands by the Fulani herders prompted Kanu to write the eastern states governors, appealing to them to checkmate the deadly terror of the Fulani herders. Either the elected authorities lacked the inability to do so or they didn’t care enough, for they ignored the plea.

Unable to watch more lives destroyed by the marauding herders, Kanu in December 2020 floated a security outfit named Eastern Security Network (ESN), with a well spelt out jurisdiction. The outfit is saddled with the responsibility of protecting Biafra forests and farmlands from foreign invaders, the Nigerian government haven asserted that the herdsmen are foreigners from neighboring countries.

For inexplicable reasons, the Nigerian government saw the ESN as a threat and sent in the army to attack them. Many lives were lost. The raids were especially intense in Imo state where the installed Fulani puppet governor was doing his best to please his slave masters.

Although IPOB has remained nonviolent and civil in its demands, Nigerian government has ignored all diplomatic calls to address the agitation, choosing instead to indict the group as a violent outfit.

ADOPTION OF THE FIFTH COLUMNISTS APPROACH

The defeat of the Fulani mercenaries sent by the federal government to unleash Jihad on the people of Biafra made the cabal in power to change strategy. A force within a force was created and called the "Unknown Gunmen," with the special assignment of  killing Igbo people in Nigerian security services while the media will be used to blame it on IPOB. To make it seamless, these hired folks were made to carry out heinous crimes on IPOB sit-at-home days.

Just as a bird will not rest until it finishes its nest, the Nigerian government never relented in test running every avenue to deploy the function of the fifth columnists in destabilizing the resoluteness of the people as that appears to be the only option left for them to apply since the use of force and incessant killings could not deter the people.

Will Biafrans allow them to achieve their aim? Time will tell.

WHY WE ARE REVIEWING THE MONDAY INDEFINITE SIT-AT-HOME ORDER - IPOB

IPOB PRESS RELEASE | THE BIAFRA TIMES

14/08/2021

WHY WE ARE REVIEWING THE MONDAY INDEFINITE SIT-AT-HOME ORDER - IPOB

The leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) understand the concern being expressed by the global IPOB family on the suspension of the weekly Sit-At-Home earlier announced by the IPOB Head of Directorate of State of the Indigenous people of Biafra. We know that our people embraced this civil action wholeheartedly and without any compulsion.

The leadership sincerely appreciate the innate desire of Biafrans to sacrifice their time, resources and energy in ensuring that our leader Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is released unconditionally from the illegal custody of the Nigerian State who criminally renditioned him from Kenya  to Nigeria.

The suspension of the Sit-At-Home by the IPOB Head of Directorate was as a result of a direct order from the leader of this great movement Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

There is no gain saying the fact that one of the major fundamental guiding principle of IPOB is Command and Control. This simply means that all command from the Supreme leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) will be obeyed and implemented to the latter by the Directorate of State of the Indigenous people of Biafra. Bearing in mind therefore that this principle has enabled this movement to surpass even the exceptions of both Biafrans and Non Biafrans alike, the leadership wish to encourage Biafran to focus on the most pressing issue  confronting this great family presently which is ensuring the safety of our leader while still in the illegal custody of the DSS and to secure his unconditional release from detention.

In accordance with the directive from our leader, our Sit-At-Home will in the mean time be observed on the date  of our leaders Court appearances.

The lPOB leadership urge Biafrans worldwide to take note of the next court appearance of our leader which is the 21st of October 2021. If however we have any reason or directive from the IPOB highest command that require us to reactivate the suspended Weekly Sit-At-Home, the leadership will not hesitate to lift the suspension and continue with the  civil action.

The leadership  once more appreciate all Biafrans and our friends and sympathizers who faithfully observed the Monday August 9 Sit-At-Home which was a huge success throughout Biafra land. May God continue to bless and uphold all those committed to our struggle.

We consider Biafra  restoration as a sacrosanct call to duty above all else. Any other information regarding Sit-At-Home in Biafraland not emanating from IPOB through our main channels of information dissemination should be disregarded.

The Nigeria Government should heed now to the voice of reason coming from within Nigeria and from outside the shores of Nigeria to unconditionally free our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and announce a date for Biafra referendum or plebiscite where our people will choose where they wish to belong before it is too late.

ANY TRADITIONAL RULER IN BIAFRA LAND REPORTING HIS SUBJECTS TO THE ARMY FOR OPPOSING THE SALE OF LAND TO FULANI HERDSMEN SHOULD PREPARE TO REAP THE FRUIT OF TREACHERY - IPOB

Published on The Biafra Times

August 12, 2021.

The attention of the global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by our indefatigable leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has been drawn to the treacherous and abominable activities of some evil traditional rulers and President Generals in Biafran land who report their youths to the Fulani-controlled Nigerian soldiers to kill them. We have got reports  of traditional rulers and President Generals who terrorise youths in their community by tagging them IPOB members and ESN operatives. The only crime of the youths is standing up for their rights and resisting the sale of community land to Fulani herdsmen.

It's an abomination for a traditional ruler in Biafra land to report youths in his community to terror-friendly Nigeria Army just because he feels the youths are standing in his way to sell the community land to the Fulani herders. We therefore warn all such treacherous monarchs to retrace their steps or brace up for the consequences of their evil action.

We want to sound it clear that henceforth, any traditional ruler that reports his subjects to the Nigeria Army or Navy to torture them for opposing their plans to sell community land to Fulani herdsmen, shall get ready to answer to our ancestors. Such evil traitors are not worthy to live how much more occupy the ezeship stool in Biafraland.

On this note, we demand the unconditional release of all the youths arrested by the Navy at Atani and other communites in Ogbaru, Anambra State. If you evil monarchs doubt our resolve to deal with you, fail to release those arrested by naval officers in the affected communites within seven days. If after seven days the arrested youths are not released, the treacherous traditional rulers and President Generals who masterminded their ordeals should prepare to reap the fruit of their treachery!

Any treacherous traditional ruler and President Generals found to be  selling our ancestral land to the Fulani Herdsmen, who are terrorist jihadists from the Futa Jaleon shall be held responsible for whatever consequences that will emanate from such action.
