The Inordinate Quest To Jail Nnamdi Kanu Is Turning Nigeria Into A Rogue Government

The Inordinate Quest To Jail Nnamdi Kanu Is Turning Nigeria Into A Rogue Government

The Nigeria government's unrestrained pursuit to jail Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) by any means has left the train of usual legal battle into a feasible moral and ethical debacle. The government have continued to employ dishonest and destructive measures in their fight against the IPOB leader and his movement. This conscious severe abuse does clearly classify Nigeria as a rogue government.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, known for his outspoken advocacy for the rights of the Biafran people and the call for a referendum to enable Biafrans decide their fate with Nigeria, has been conceived as a thorn in the flesh by Nigeria government. And, from all indications it seems the government is determined to silence Kanu at all costs.

Amongst many failed arguments against Kanu, the government still holds that the IPOB leader is responsible for terrorism in the Eastern part of the country. However, upon a closer examination from an unbiased point of view, it becomes clear that this charge is unfounded and lacks substantive basis because the IPOB leader has consistently maintained a peaceful approach to his agitation, emphasizing the right to self-determination as enshrined in international law. His calls for a referendum to determine the fate of the Biafran people are not acts of treason but expressions of a legitimate desire for freedom and self-governance. This was equally acknowledged by the Nigerian Appellate Court in Abuja on 13th October 2022, and quashed every charges, declaring Kanu discharged and acquitted. Unfortunately, Nigeria State continues baselessly in the attempts to link Kanu to acts of violence or terrorism.

At present, Family Writers Press International(FWPI) is in possession of reliable information indicating the government's reliance on dubious witnesses, including importing imprisoned criminals (especially from Imo State) to testify as instruments of Nnamdi Kanu in terrorism acts. According to our sources, the criminals from Imo State have already been transported to Abuja and the scripts they will act in court against the IPOB leader to study and in return, get amnesty from the Imo State Supreme Court imposed governor, Hope Uzodimma. This is not just a travesty of justice but a mockery of the judicial system. It is a desperate attempt to fabricate evidence and subvert the course of justice. The fact that no IPOB member has ever been convicted of any crime by any competent court, is a testament to the peaceful nature of the movement, and Kanu's leadership.

This malicious approach by Nigeria State did not start today. Recall that the President Buhari administration had put up several of similar false accusations against the IPOB leader at a time, with the Chief Judge of Federal High Court, John Tsoho who sought to carry out secret trial on the IPOB leader. DSS officials where masked to groundlessly testify against the IPOB leader, but was resisted. There are other instances where prostitutes from Abuja where also paid for the dirty job, which later got public through one. In 2016, IPOB intelligence also unveiled the governments plan to import persons from Ghana and Cameron for the same purpose. But, all these kept failing because, they are evil plots against an innocent man.

The persecution of Kanu is not just about him as an individual, but about the broader issue of freedom of speech and the right to dissent. It sends a chilling message to other activists and dissenters that their voices will not be tolerated. It is a violation of fundamental human rights and a betrayal of the principles of democracy.

Nigeria government's plan to jail Mazi Nnamdi Kanu unjustly is a show of shame. It is a glaring example of abuse of power, political vendetta, and a disregard for the rule of law. Kanu has not committed any crimes defined by law, and his persecution is a clear case of injustice. It is time for the government to stop this charade that is gradually getting it rogue, and begin to respect the right of all citizens, including those who dare to speak truth to power.

The Resilience of IPOB Amidst the crackdowns in Nigeria

The Resilience of IPOB Amidst the crackdowns in Nigeria

Though the Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB) have since inception been a lightening rod for criticism and government crackdowns, yet she consistently defies expectations and persevered. Despite efforts by the Nigeria government to destabilize the movement, IPOB have remained strong, steadfast, leading to rumors and misinformation about the source of her strength and status.

One of the key factors behind IPOB's resilience is her organizational structure and strategy. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the charismatic leader of the movement has played a pivotal role in shaping the movement's direction and maintaining her unity. Kanu's leadership style, characterized by a combination of ideological fervor and strategic pragmatism, has helped IPOB navigate challenges and setbacks.

IPOB's organizational structure is decentralized, with various levels of leadership and coordination. This decentralized approach has made it difficult for the Nigerian government to target the group effectively. Additionally, IPOB has leveraged modern communication technologies such as; social media and encrypted messaging apps to organize and mobilize her members, further complicating government's efforts to disrupt her activities.

Despite the government's efforts to undermine IPOB, including the proscription of the group as a terrorist organization in 2017, IPOB have continued to operate and advocate for her cause. The Nigeria government have employed various tactics to discredit IPOB, including spreading rumors of internal divisions and leadership disputes. However, these rumors have largely been debunked, with IPOB maintaining a united front and a clear focus on her goals.

One of the most persistent rumors surrounding IPOB is the notion that the group is on the verge of collapse or have been significantly weakened. However, these claims have consistently been proven false. IPOB's ability to adapt to changing circumstances have enabled her to weather numerous challenges and setbacks.

In conclusion, IPOB's resilience and ability to withstand government's pressure is a testament to the strength of her Organization strength and the dedication of her members. Despite efforts to undermine it, IPOB remains a potent force in Nigerian politics, and her impact is likely to still being felt for years to come.

The Mandate To Protect and Project IPOB As A Nonviolent Movement Must Continue~ Emeka Gift Charges Biafrans

Biafra: The Mandate To Protect and Project IPOB As A Nonviolent Organization Must Continue~ Mazi Emeka Gift

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, since inception remains a peaceful, nonviolent self determination movement championed by her leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. IPOB's commitment to her principle of nonviolent approach to the agitation for Biafra Restoration over the years remains unbreakable, distinguishing her as the largest mass movement among other self determination groups across the world.

Reiterating IPOB's core principle, Mazi Emeka Gift during his birthday message, via his tweet made on Wednesday, 13th March 2024, reassured Biafrans of the need to remain consistent with the mandate of projecting the hallowed movement, IPOB in every good light while countering the incessant blackmails, impersonation, spurious narratives from Nigerian government institutions, agent provocateurs and fifth columnists bent on tarnishing the hard earned international image and reputation of IPOB noble movement.

Mazi Emeka Gift, who stands out as one of the many top media warriors in IPOB, recounted the duty he and his team, Family Writers Press International were instructed to carry out directly by IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

He says,

"My only assignment is to protect and project IPOB as none violent movement advocating for #Biafra restoration. That is what Mazi Nnamdi Kanu assigned me and many of us. Media is me and I am media...that is my duty, I have no other assignment."

He also noted that he received a direct instruction from Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to never allow any slanderous narrative from any quarters present IPOB in a bad picture or associate the movement as being a terrorist or any violent tag see the light if the day.

"Mazi Nnamdi Kanu told me  that IPOB is a nonviolent movement that in no circumstances should I and my team allow any body, organization and government to associate IPOB with violent movement. He detailed me the dangers of allowing that to happen", he says.

While reassuring his unalloyed commitment to protect IPOB against false narratives, he says,

"Hence I will continue to stand tall in defending IPOB, projecting its nonviolent policies".

Addressing the need to educate Biafrans and the general public of the importance to sustain the fight against the government's heavy propaganda against IPOB, he urged Biafrans to remain consistent and unwavering against the Nigerian government's incessant blackmails to tag peaceful IPOB a terrorist organization before the world.

"Have you asked yourself why Nigeria government associate IPOB with every violent groups in South East. Every crime in the South East is now associated with IPOB, this is deliberate. Some of our people refused to understand the dangers of projecting and associating IPOB to violent group. If Nigeria government succeeds in convincing the world to see IPOB as violent group, many of us will withdraw our support to IPOB struggle and it will die. Today IPOB is the face of Biafra struggle and any mistake in allowing Nigeria government succeed in presenting IPOB to the world as terror group then that will be the end of IPOB", he says.

"If IPOB dies today, every other group claiming of fighting for Biafra will disappear and stop existing. Many of them were set up by government to fight IPOB, We Shall Keep Protecting IPOB", he concluded.

As birthday wishes to him from Biafrans across various social media platforms  continue to pour in, Mazi Emeka Gift remains grateful to Biafrans.

Nnamdi Kanu: Lawyer Clears Air Over New Trial

Nnamdi Kanu: Lawyer Clears Air Over New Trial

Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor

Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu (MNK) and IPOB General/Lead Counsel, on Monday, 11th March, 2024, via his official X and Facebook handles made public clarifications over the ongoing hearing of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's case at the Federal High Court, Abuja.

In his tweet, he noted that he maintained deliberate silence since the hearing began but was compelled by the ongoing circumstances around the case, to make public certain clarifications.

In his own words, Ejiofor recounted his antecedents spanning over nine years as IPOB lead counsel.

"I joined Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's legal team in December, 2015 and eventually took on the role of Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s lead Counsel and also as the IPOB General/Lead Counsel in January, 2016. Since 2015, I have diligently performed my professional duties in defending Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB while upholding ethical standards" he said"

However, he further stressed that being Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB lead counsel have not been a rossy journey as he recalled having survived 5 different assassination plots, attacks on his home, failed assassination plots on his life, his workers and blackmails to discourage him from his work. He also noted in series of numbered points, how he escaped  assassination plot in his ancestral home, where his Personal Assistant was gruesomely murdered and other workers disappeared by Nigerian security operatives.

Stressing further, Bar. Ejiofor stated that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu exercised his constitutional right to choose his legal counsel in his ongoing case at the high court Abuja.

He also admonished his colleagues in the lead of the case to focus on the task of freeing their client and shun distractions from any quarters.

"The right to choice of counsel is a constitutionally guaranteed right which has been exercised by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

This year marked it nine (9) good years that I have been on this case and without blemish too, despite relentless blackmail, backstabbing, and evil contrive by those who were  ordinarily, supposed to align with the same objectives in the discharge of this onerous task. Despite challenges and attempts to undermine my work, I remain steadfast in providing legal services to IPOB – a peaceful global movement – as their General/Lead Counsel. I refrained from commenting on Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s case to avoid undue interference with any legal strategies being adopted by those currently seized of the matter. It is not in my character to engage in public critiques or pre-emptive statements regarding legal strategies, unlike what was obtainable in the past by those who are currently in the lead. The team need to focus on the task before them and deliver in their mandate towards freeing Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu" his tweet reads.

He also noted,

"It is time to move past blackmail, lies, and backstabbing and focus on the task at hand. I urge my colleagues leading the legal team and their handlers, to concentrate on the case and refrain from engaging in unnecessary blackmail against me and/or the erudite legal Silk – Prof. Mike Ozekhome, SAN. I hope that my colleagues will do all that is required of them to free Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, a feat I single handedly achieved in 2017.  It is time for them to repeat this same feat in 2024"

While charging the lawyers in the lead of the case, Ejiofor cautioned against sabotage and blackmails from the part of the lawyers and warned against a repeat of the already known damage done by some unscrupulous elements in the legal team who are in bed with the chief agent provocateur in Finland who was bent on tarnishing his reputation.

In his tweet, he says,

"By providing this clarification, I hope those affected will reconsider their actions and refrain from continuing in their futile attempts at tarnishing my hard earned reputation with baseless accusations. Failure of which,  I might be compelled to make an exposé to Biafrans who deserve to know the truth. The serial fraudster in Finland who is relentlessly exploring the opportunity created for him by the vulnerability of some misguided people, listening to his lies and propaganda, has no interest whatsoever in securing the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, but sees it as an opportunity to grip firm and hold more strongly on the wheel of his fraudulent empire, even to the devastating detriment of our people at home.

It is crucial to remain cautious and focused on securing the release of Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, disregarding distractions and false narratives propagated by certain individuals"

Moreso, the clarification has erupted mixed reactions from Biafrans on social media regarding the ongoing hearing at the Federal High Court, Abuja.

Eastern Security Network Storms Illegal Fulani Invaders Camp, Destroys Properties Left While They Escaped

Eastern Security Network Storms Illegal Fulani Invaders Camp, Destroys Properties Left While They Escaped

Operatives Of The Eastern Security Network (ESN) has reportedly stormed an Illegal camp owned & operated by notorious Fulani terror herdsmen, in Lokpanta/Ishiagu, which they readily use for their nefarious campaigns against Indigenous people especially farmers who are engaging in agricultural activities during farming sessions.

The ESN in a #viralvideo published by Mazi Chinasa Nworu explained that the counterterrorism operation, was conducted on 25th February 2024 and that the herdsmen were ostensibly tipped off before the operation took place, given the fact that the ESN operatives met an empty camp, when they arrived and only had to seamlessly clear the perimeter and torch the affected area.

The Indigenous People Of Biafra Movement & Leadership - who is the sole proprietor and command possessor of the Eastern Security Network - has sworn that no place, forest/bushes in Eastern region will harbor or contain the Fulani herdsmen, and this pledge was reiterated in the formal speeches of various strategic ESN command units across the East - during the ESN 3rd Anniversary commemoration on 10th December, 2023.

The ESN has continued to live up to the promise, to invariably enable and encourage agricultural activities by the residents of East during this farming season, as the economic hardship in Nigeria continues to nosedive negatively.

Moreover, recently the IPOB movement closed the cattle rearing, pastoralism market of the East, to only Indigenes and limited foreigners from engaging in the business.

According to the IPOB movement, this policy was initiated not only as a precautionary measure against the Fulani marauders and their terror activities, but also to encourage the breeding of the Indigenous livestocks, which its existence is being threatened by the excessiveness of the Fulani cattle stock across Nigeria but primarily in the East.

IPOB's Withdrawal Of Interest In Nigerian Judiciary As Regards Kanu's Trial

IPOB's Withdrawal Of Interest In Nigerian Judiciary As Regards Kanu's Trial

Nnamdi Kanu

The ongoing trial of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has been marred by series of legal irregularities and injustices. Recently, the IPOB leadership, the Directorate of States(DOS) made the decision to withdraw their interest in the Justice Binta Nyako's Federal High Court continued trial of its Leader's Case. This decision comes in the wake of a deeply troubling Supreme Court ruling on December 15, 2023, which have been viewed as a miscarriage of justice.

The Supreme Court Justices in their ruling, admitted to several critical points that highlight the injustice faced by Nnamdi Kanu. Firstly, they acknowledged that Kanu did not jump bail but rather escaped assassination when the military invaded his house on September 14, 2017. Same invasion which led to the loss of 28 lives and destruction of properties.

Secondly, the Supreme Court Justices condemned the manner in which the IPOB leader was abducted in Kenya and extradited to Nigeria. The extraordinary rendition violated international law and Kanu's rights, yet he continues to be held in detention without bail.

Thirdly, the Supreme Court Justices criticized Justice Binta Nyako's decision to revoke Kanu's bail. This decision, which was based on spurious allegations, further demonstrates the bias and unfairness that have characterized this trial.

It is important to note that the Court of Appeal had previously delivered a landmark ruling on October 13, 2022, which took all these factors into consideration. The Court of Appeal discharged and acquitted Kanu of all charges, declaring him ineligible to stand trial further in any Nigerian court. This ruling was a clear indication of the lack of merit in the case against Kanu.

However, despite acknowledging and admitting these wrongdoing by the federal government against Kanu, the Supreme Court in its ill-delivered verdict, reversed the due judgment and remanded Kanu back to the Department of State Services (DSS) dungeon without bail. This decision reeks of political interference and raises serious concerns about the independence of the judiciary in Nigeria.

The IPOB leadership's decision to withdraw every confidence from the Judiciary reflects their lack of confidence in the fairness and impartiality of the judicial process. It is a damning indictment of the Nigerian legal system and its failure to uphold justice and the rule of law.

In conclusion, this withdrawal of IPOB's interest is a stark reminder of the injustice that continues to plague Nigeria's legal system. Kanu's case is not just about him; it is about the fundamental principles of justice and fairness that should govern any democratic society. Until these principles are upheld, Kanu's trial will remain a symbol of the injustices that persist in Nigeria.

Genocidist Gowon Boasts Of Starting Annihilation #War Against #Biafra; Very Unfortunate- #IPOB

Genocidist Gowon Boasts Of Starting Annihilation #War Against #Biafra; Very Unfortunate- #IPOB

IPOB PRESS RELEASE

25/02/2024

The attention of the global family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by the great and indefatigable leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been drawn to the horrible but true confession of starting the genocidal war against Biafra by the former Military Head of State of Nigeria, Major General Yakubu Gowon. The genocidist Yakubu Gowon led the second bloodiest genocide after the Israeli Holocaust against Biafrans between 1967 and 1970.

Recently, during a solidarity visit to President Tinubu, the genocidist, Yakubu Gowon, openly confessed to starting the genocidal war that they call a civil war against Ndigbo without shame. He equally confirmed that he was criticized for starting that war, yet he went ahead to commit the deadly genocide against Biafra Nation.

Below, we have identified the main betrayers in the Middle Belt's present crisis who dine with the Fulanis to kill their own people and have promised them part of Middle Belt land, especially in Plateau state the Gowon's Indigenous state:

1. Gen Yakubu Gowon. Pankshin local government area

2. Sen. Simon Lalong.. Shendam LGA

3. Hon Rufus Bature.. B/Ladi LGA

4. Hon Dandere.. Gyel

5. Hon Dr Danladi Atu.. Jos North

6. Hon Isa SONG.. B/Ladi

7. AC. Pam Dung..B/Ladi

Yukubu Gowon, a murderer was used by Britain and the Fulani Caliphate to massacre millions of Biafrans and starve millions of Biafran children to death in an avoidable war between 1967 and 1970. The genocidists agenda was to wipe out Biafrans from the surface of the earth, but Chukwu Okike Abiama disappointed them. Today, Biafrans have moved on and prospered against all economic and developmental odds to the envy of Nigerians. Despite the depopulation agenda against Biafra through many years of pogroms and the civil war of genocide, today, the Biafra population is the highest among all the nations yoked together in their one-Nigeria

If Nigeria doubts the population strength of Biafra, we challenge them to conduct a digitalized population census.

The genocidist Gowon, through the British support, mobilized many world powers and fought against Biafra. The war of annihilation went on for three years against the small new Nation of Biafra. By the grace of Chukwu Okike Abiama, our heroes withstood their war of annihilation for three (3) years without foreign support. We are not surprised that an unrepentant and unapologetic war criminal, Yakubu Gowon, can still boldly boast of his genocidal actions against Biafra. In other sane nations, war criminals like Gowon are serving life imprisonment sentences for their part in genocide. But Nigeria is a nation that rewards criminals, terrorists, and treasurey looters while punishing FREEDOM FIGHTERS and human rights activists.

As other genocidists in Nigeria, Gowon is galavanting and glorifying himself for massacring millions of Biafran men, women, and children. His home state is under the occupation of terrorists and bandits today, but that is not his concern. The genocide he masterminded against Biafrans has visited his people. Fulani bandits and terrorists have taken over and renamed some of the villages  in Tiv nation while Gowon is watching helplessly like the slave that he is. God has preserved Gowon to witness the same genocide he perpetrated against Biafrans. Fortunately, no inch of Biafran land was taken over by the Nigeria State during the bloody civil war. But Yakubu Gowon and his people have already lost some areas of their own land to Fulani conquerors and jihadists. And if care is not taken, the entire Middle Belt will be conquered by the Sokoto Fulani  Caliphate. We don't wish that happens because of the innocent people of the Middle Belt even though we despise the unrepentant Genocidist Gowon and his fellow Nigerianists' actions against Biafrans.

We commend our eternal leader, Chief Dim, Odumegwu Ojukwu whether dead or alive, and other Biafra heroes and heroines for resisting the bloody genocide against Biafrans led by the genocidist, Gowon. By the special grace of Eze Chukwu Okike Abiama, this generation of Biafrans will finish the struggle and restore Biafra Independence. There is nothing people like war criminal Gen. Yakubu Gowon and company can do about it.
