“The issue of BIAFRA agitation has to be properly addressed”-- Indian Prime Minister Tells United Nations

“The issue of BIAFRA agitation has to be properly addressed”-- Indian Prime Minister Tells United Nations

The Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Damondardas has told The United Nations General Assemblies to look into the problem affecting the residents of the old eastern region of Nigeria widely known as BIAFRA which is propelling them to push for the separate independent state away from Nigeria.

He maintained that Nigeria is structured in based on the colonial interest stating that Nigeria as Nation does not have the legitimate support of it’s citizens. He further points out the root cause of Nigeria problems as the inability of the past Nigerian Nationalists to restructure and reestablish Nigeria as a sovereign state with the popular legitimacy of it’s citizens on the basis of REFERENDUM which fosters the National cohesive spirit and patriotism.

“The issue of BIAFRA agitation has to be properly addressed; self determination has always been a civil right which is Guaranteed under the international laws. When a region seek to break away from a given country, the first thing to do is to address the problems driving such proposition. If the issue is something that can’t be addressed, partition has to be offered for them to conduct a REFERENDUM a decide their fate. Nigeria’s problems emanated from their earlier political leaders who failed to reestablish themselves after gaining independence in 1960…..”

He ended saying that a country that is structured in political, social and economic inequality can never stand “Patriotism is what drives nations to unity, Peaceful coexistence and equity….”

Nnamdi Kanu’s Refusal to Accept Cash Bribe, Houses from Nigeria government, reason for his continued Detention--IPOB

Nnamdi Kanu’s Refusal to Accept Cash Bribe, Houses from Nigeria government, reason for his continued Detention--IPOB

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has said the Nigerian government is keeping its leader, Nnamdi Kanu in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) because he declined monetary and land offers to make him forsake Biafra agitation. According to the group, some persons have promised to help President Muhammadu Buhari’s government to make Kanu bow to pressure, hence trying to cause division among IPOB members.

IPOB said these through a statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, on Monday.

It read, "The attention of the global movement and family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has been drawn to the secret plans by the Buhari government to illegally detain our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu for as long as possible.

"Their annoyance with our leader is his blunt refusal to take properties and monetary inducement offered him to abandon the struggle for Biafra liberation.

"The Federal Government decided to hold our leader indefinitely to see if it can possibly infiltrate the ranks of our great movement and destroy it from inside while our leader is in custody.

"The federal government is also relying on the promise by some traitors and black sheep in America and Europe that they would assist it realise the evil plot. The promise was made to the federal government during their secret visit to Aso Rock last December."

It also disclosed that the Nigerian government was plotting to pitch the international community against the group.

"We are also aware that the Federal government has been lobbying the international community to enlist their support against Biafra liberation but they won't succeed. Therefore, anybody distracting or causing division in the IPOB family is a tool knowingly or unknowingly working for the Federal Government of Nigeria.

"The fact remains that Biafra is a divine project. It has gone beyond any single individual including our leader. Millions of the oppressed Biafrans youths home and abroad are now more aware and conscious than ever. It's only a matter of time.

Biafra MUST come. It can only be delayed but certainly not suppressed.

"Our leader Mazi Nnamdi KANU must be released unconditionally. So, the Federal Government won't achieve their aim because our leader Mazi Nnamdi KANU and IPOB members committed no crime known to law both locally and internationally.

"Again, we want to raise the alarm that the Department of State Services, DSS has concluded plans to hold and keep torturing three innocent Igbo women in solitary confinement without allowing them out of their tiny cell at all.

These innocent women were being held under such condition because they have refused to lie against our leader Mazi Nnamdi KANU, so the DSS intend to break their spirits.

"The DSS is going to courts and obtaining black market orders to detain Biafrans indefinitely. And one of the judges issuing such orders is Justice Maha of Federal High Court Abuja. The world should be aware of this. They must be made to account for their crimes," the statement added.

SPECIAL REPORT: Ebonyi Farmers In Jubilation Over The Return of Tranquility in Farmlands

Akubumma Princewill | Biafra Writers

January 28, 2022.

Before the emergence of Eastern Security Network ESN, established in December of 2020 by the supreme leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, various farmlands across Eastern Nigeria were a slaughter ground for the killer Fulani herdsmen.

Many innocent and unarmed citizens engaging in agricultural practices have lost their precious lives at the hands of the marauders who usually invade farmlands with their cattle, destroying crops, pillaging, raping and cutting the throat of farmers. This discouraged farming and injected hunger in the land as farmers cringed at the thought of going to farm.

The emergence of Eastern Security Network, ESN, has however put the situation in check. The ESN has been confronting the terror-inflicting herders head-on and today there is a relief in the land.

Biafra Writers Correspondence was on ground to interview many farmers across Ebonyi – from Afikpo to Amasiri, and from Onicha-Igbeze to Uburu, from Okposi to Isu and in the other communities in Ebonyi.

The farmers were all smiles and full of praises to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra who graciously launched the ESN, but wondered why the state government did not bathe an eyelid over the spate of killings over the years in Ebonyi farmlands irrespective of the taxes that are being paid by the citizens as well as the security votes they have been receiving quarterly for this purpose.

Here are the Testimonies of Some Farmers We Interviewed:

Mrs. Gladys Nwivuru has this to say "Nwa m, I don't know how to show my profound gratitude to Commander, Nnamdi Kanu, who heard our cries and came to our rescue."

Biafra Writers Correspondence (BWC): he is not called ‘Commander.’  He is 'The supreme leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra.'

Mrs. Gladys Nwivuru: "Nwa m, of a truth I would like to be addressing him as 'Commander Nnamdi Kanu' because he is truly 'Ochiagha ndi Igbo.' He has done what no leader has ever done for his people since I was born".

BWC: thank you Ma for that knew tittle.

When asked about her experience in the farm for the past one year, Mrs. Rosemary Akpa had this to say:

“As you can see, this is my cassava farm, you can see how the leaves are very greenish and the stem very healthy. We do not experience any invasion of cattle in our farms any longer since we now have Biafran police guarding our farmlands day and night. Also take a look at that rice field over there, it belongs to my husband, you can see how people are harvesting it with joy and gladness. This is because our peaceful farming has returned since Nnamdi Kanu brought the boys who are making sure we don't cry anymore in our farms."

BWC: The boys are not Biafran police. They are called Eastern Security Network, ESN. Their job is to see that farming activities should continue in the entire eastern Nigeria without molestations.

Mrs. Akpa: Ok, I now understand their real name. Daalu nwa m.

BWC: Can you tell us how many bags of rice your husband has harvested so far this season?

Mrs. Akpa: In the past, when ndi Fulani used to destroy our crops, we used to harvest only 5 bags and, that's if you have a big farmland. But if your rice field is small, you will not get even one bag. But now my husband already harvested 23 bags the other day, and by the evening of today, when the harvesters are done, we will get another 12 bags from this very farm also.

BWC: that's lovely. Thank you Ma.

When asked to compare his current experience in the farm with that of the past years, Mr. Julius Nwangwugwu returned, “ I can't explain how hefty and proud my heart is towards Ohamadike ndi Biafra. He has put smiles on the faces of farmers in Ebonyi and in Igbo land today because of this good work. Let me take you to my make-shift barn here in the farm for you to understand what I am saying properly."

He then led us to a corner in the farmland where he built a dwarf fence made with bamboo sticks and palm fronds and showed us plenty yams he has harvested so far. "My son, as you can see, these are the yams I harvested from this farm land. They are very healthy and big. This is because no pest or cattle entered here to destroy it as it used to happen in the past due to the presence of our Biafran farm and forest guards, the ESN, and I don't know what to use to say thank you to Ohamadike Biafra and to those brave boys."

BWC: Sir, if you meet Ohamadike Biafra one on one right now, what will you do?

Mr. Nwangwugwu: That will be a dream-come true because I have been wishing to meet him someday. I will pound fufu with the best yam species here for him and will ask my wife to prepare him 'ofe Achara with enough bush meat and palm wine to wash it down.

ALL Broke into laughter.

At Onicha-Igbeze, another farmer, Mrs Bridget Mabam, said,

"we are so happy because God of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has answered our prayers. As you can see, there's no man here with us in this farmland when you people came in. this is because we now have peace all around us in the farms unlike before when we must come to the farm with men to guard us and still will not have a relaxed mind. Of a truth, God Almighty, Chukwu Okike Abiama, will continue to guide and protect our Saviour Mazi Nnamdi Kanu for us. Just take a look at our cassava farm, how it blossoms and how the leaves are waving in joy to our God".

In Isu Echara, Mr. Chukwu Nkwoagu told us, “Anybody who sees Mazi Nnamdi Kanu should please greet him for me and buy him a drink in my name, I will pay double. He has done what no governor or politician has ever been able to do for us since the death of Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu. He is indeed a God sent and heaven and earth upon which we stand will continue to keep him for us."

BWC: So tell Biafrans and the world how you feel going about your farming today.

Mr. Nkwoagu: My brother, we can now sleep over in the farm if we are to plant some seeds that requires early morning dew to blossom, we no longer have any fear because God in his infinite mercies has intervened through these wonderful boys, the ESN. As you can see by yourself, my crops are doing well and the ones to be harvested are very plenty. Between January 2021 and this January of 2022, I have recovered almost all the money I lost in farming in the previous years due to the fact that we no longer see the Fulanis that have become thorns in our flesh in the previous years.

ESN Does Not Write Letters To People Or Make Calls Requesting For Funds From People --IPOB

ESN Does Not Write Letters To People Or Make Calls Requesting For Funds From People --IPOB

We the global movement and family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under the command and leadership of our great leader Mazi Nnamdi KANU, wish to reiterate, that IPOB and ESN operatives have no camp in Lilu in Ihiala LGA of Anambra State. We are not militants and Criminals and don't need any camp in Ihiala LGA. We are identifiable and we are all over Biafra land and IPOB branches in the Diaspora.

Nigeria security agencies are using the hatred they have on the people of Biafra particularly IPOB and ESN members to unleash cruelty on the people living in these communities where they suspect that criminals are taking refuge.

If crimials take refuge in any Community in Biafra land, that doesn't make them IPOB members or ESN operatives. We have also not said there are no more criminal gangs in Biafra land just like every other country even in the advanced Western nations. But we won't accept the tagging of every Criminal element found in Biafra as IPOB member or ESN operative.

Recall that some of these criminals were already mentioned by IPOB leadership sometime during a broadcast. IPOB leadership said these criminals were unleashing mayhem on innocent citizens in some commuunities. Some of these hoodlums were a creation of wicked politicians in their desperation to discredit IPOB and ESN.

In Orsumoghu, Nnewi South, Lilu Orsumenyi of Ihiala LGA of Anambra State these criminals mentioned below are the ones impersonating ESN/IPOB members using ESN name to commit crimes against the people of these communities they are not ESN members, the communities involved should use their vigilant group and stop them, ESN will help them too.

1.Emmanuel aka  (Obereagu)

2.Innocent Obiekee from Isingwu Orsumoghu

3.Izuchukwu from Amaduru  Orsumoghu

4.Ofordie aka Baby

In Orlu Imo state these criminals mentioned below are impersonating ESN/IPOB members to demonise IPOB and ESN members, they are sponsored by Hope Uzodinma and his co-travellers and traitors to demonise IPOB and ESN members in Imo State

1.  Agu

2. 50

3. Vice

4. Ojoo

5. Number one (No 1) and Ojoo and their gang are collecting Illegal levy at Eke Ututu in the name of ESN when they are neither ESN operatives nor IPOB family members. The one they call Sky and Zuma are collecting proceeds from innocent communities. IGBANDA and his gangs are also collecting 5,000 Naira from Orlu people in the name of ESN. These names mentioned or listed in this press statement have been declared Persona Non Grata in Biafraland and they remain so. People must stop giving them money they are not ESN oprrayive and not IPOB volunteers.

Again, ESN does not write letters to people or make calls to people requesting for funds, funds for what we ask? IPOB and ESN have no dealings with such evil activities of these criminals who are now on ESN watchlist. Be warned and stop giving them money in the name of ESN or IPOB volunteers.

Contact these numbers to report any crime from individuals, cult groups or criminal gangs using the name of IPOB/ESN to commit crimes.

The  numbers

+1248 949 4843

+61434294745

They have been kidnapping  people, snatching cars  and raping our women in our territory. IPOB volunteers and ESN operatives have also been making efforts to apprehend these agents of sorrow. We cannot watch these beasts created and sponsored by Hope Uzodinma, his masters in Miyeti Allah and their co-travellers to destroy Biafra land.

It is therefore, wicked and annoying that the Nigeria Army, Police and DSS will keep dishing out falsehood against IPOB and ESN by claiming that these criminals when arrested, are IPOB and ESN members. The so-called camp where these said criminals were arrested does not belong to ESN. They should stop lying against us.

Kanu's Trial: Court adjourns case on account of amended charges

Chikwas Onu Ikpe | The Biafra Times

January 18, 2022

ABUJA — Trial of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu has been adjourned until Wednesday, January 19, 2022.

On October 21, 2021, Kanu was accused by the Nigerian government, of committing treasonable felony, and other offences related to "terrorism," in a seven-count charge. But, in a couple of hours to the court date, today, the prosecution leveled the charges to fifteen.

The amended charge, case no. FHC/ABJ/CR/383/2015 was signed by the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), M. B. Abubakar; S. M Labaran, Assistant Chief State Counsel, on behalf of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.

Nonetheless, with the new charges against him, he [Kanu] has to be re-arraigned on the fresh charges, then he would take a plea after the charges have been read to him before the trial can commence on the 15 amended charges leveled against him; following a fresh bail application.

The matter was called up today, by the presiding Justice Binta Nyako, for the defendant to take a plea.

Conversely, the defence team headed by Mike Ozekhome, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), protested that there was no time to have discussed the amended charges with his client; which he said was filed "way too late".

Ozekhome further cited that "the Department of State Security Services (DSS) has defiantly disobeyed the orders of the court by disallowing my client to change of clothing". He added: "Nnamdi Kanu is not well fed; his visiting room (meant for us to interact with him during our visits) is bugged, which breaches his fundamental human rights.

Justice Nyako held that further time be given to the defendant. She also ordered the DSS officials to ensure the defendant has a change of clothing, subsequently.

The court adjourned until tomorrow [Wednesday] for hearing.

Speaking to journalists, IPOB lead counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, reacted to the fresh charges. He said the defence team objected to taking a plea; which he added would have been a "prerogative to abuse the process of the court".

His words: "The matter came up last year December, but was rescheduled today, for the hearing of all the pending applications; viz, challenging the decision of the Court, application of transfer (of our client) to the prison custody, and an application for bail.

"But, (only) yesterday, we were ambushed with further amendment as we were served with fifteen-count"

"Although the prosecution has the liberty to amend a charge, it cannot exercise that prerogative to abuse the process of the court, or to supplant an objection that has been raised against an earlier amendment, which has not been decided on, or to overreach the defence, or to render nugatory or as a fait accompli, the decision of the court on a pending preliminary objection against an Amended Charge that is yet to be determined.

"On the face of that, we (the defence) cannot proceed. We objected to the fact there was no time for us to have discussed the charges and interacted on the new allegations contained therein. So the matter was adjourned tomorrow.

"This, I must say; (that) the essence of filing the amendment yesterday, 24 hours before the date slated for the hearing of open applications, is nothing but to truncate the trial, because they know they have no case against him.

"As for the seven-count amended charges earlier filed against him, we have been able to demystify all the counts, in the application challenging, the decision of the court, and they had nowhere to run - only for them to file those amended fifteen-count charges, which is still worse than what we had.

"We tend to react to the amendment. Hopefully, by tomorrow, we will file a response to that."

ABDUCTION OF UCHE NWOSU HAS EXPOSED MASTERMINDS OF INSECURITY IN IMO STATE - IPOB

December 29th, 2021.

We the global movement and family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)  ably led by our great leader Mazi Nnamdi KANU condemn the abduction  of Mazi Uche Nwosu in the church. This is another vindication that IPOB and Eastern Security Network (ESN) are not responsible for the numerous attacks, abductions/kidnappings in Imo State contrary to false accusations and propaganda by Hope Uzodinma and his co-travellers.

The incident has also further confirmed the complicity of Hope Uzodinma and the APC party in the insecurity going on in Imo State and South East region.

But for the dexterity and fighting spirit of Nwosu's family and associates, Hope Uzodinma, his co-travellers and some infamous media houses would have, as usual,  pointed accusing fingers at ESN, IPOB and unknown gunmen.  But God Almighty, Chukwu Okike Abiama, has exposed them this time around.

It will not be a surprise if by tomorrow, Hope Uzodinma fingers Uche Nwosu and his in-law Rochas Okorocha as the sponsors of IPOB, ESN, unknown gunmen and insecurity in Imo State. We know his antics and such options may not be out of the table.

For the umpteenth time, no single individual can sponsor IPOB. We are a global movement and millions of our family members home and abroad remain the source of our SPONSORSHIP. We have never hidden this fact because we are not a secret or terror organisation. IPOB is well grounded and we don't need any Okorocha, Uche Nwosu or Hope Uzodinma or any politician for that matter to  sponsor us. We have no dealings with corrupt politicians and people with questionable source of wealth.

It's now transparently obvious to all who the masterminds of the abductions/ killings of many traditional rulers and religious leaders including politicians in Imo State and other parts of South East are. It is also now clear who created unkown gunmen to demonise and implicate IPOB and ESN operatives.  God Almighty Chukwu Okike Abiama who designed this fight for Biafra freedom and independence has always vindicated us and will continue to vindicate IPOB/ESN.

BIAFRA: WE LOST AN ACTIVIST TO THE COLD HANDS OF DEATH

RE: TRIBUTE TO COMRADE VICTORIA OBIOMA AGANGAN (STARVICKEY)

By Christian Onoja  Biafra Writers

December 23, 2021

The atmosphere is laden with intense emotions; our faces are distorted in expression of the biggest tragedy of the moment which has inadvertently ushered us to an unsavoury episode of depression and sorrow.

We are grief-stricken to announce the passing onto glory of our dauntless heroine, Mrs Victoria Aganga [Vochik Glo Ventures] who died after battling a protracted illness.

Until her death, Victoria was dedicated and dutiful in all respects of the Biafra struggle. She applied herself to have worked with The Biafra Times, a media arm of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) as a writer, and poet. A very hard-core, full family member of IPOB, she was.

In the face of trials, even unto death, she never capitulated. She volunteered duteously to making sure the goodness of Biafra restoration is disseminated to the entirety of humanity.

She had written several poems, and articles; even on her sick bed - for the advancement of struggle - putting all her energy towards the emancipation of the children of light; the Biafrans.

It is very sad, only her legacies would continue to speak for her in the Biafra restoration project.

The team members of The Biafra Times are in deep regrets; nonetheless, we have chosen not to mourn farther but to eulogize her effronteries. As we owe a debt we cannot fully repay, it is superincumbent upon us to revere her sacrifices;

We cannot question God, why it must be now; but we pray that He grant our formidable comrade, the passage to eternal rest.

Rest on, dear comrade, and keep fighting from the land beyond till what you believed would have come to fruition.

Adieu starvicky!
