The case between Nnamdi Kanu and the Federal government of Nigeria kicked off at exactly 10:23am Biafra time after the arrival of Binta Nyako. Nnamdi Kanu and the other accused Benjamin Madubugwu, David Nwawuisi and Chidiebere Onwudiwe were led to the shielding apparatus set before the court, where the masked witnesses were expected to be paraded as well.

It could be recalled that Justice Binta on the 13th of Dec 2016, ruled that masked witnesses would be allowed to testify against Kanu. She quoted circumstances under section 36(6) of the 1999 constitution, whereby witnesses are allowed to conceal their identity.

She held that the court will be able to see their witnesses, but it will be restricted to the representatives of both parties. She added that the court is going to be arranged in such a way that only the defendants and the defense counsels will be able to see the witnesses. below is the shielding apparatus where Nnamdi Kanu and others were hidden.

But Nnamdi Kanu swiftly responded to her presposterous ruling by thundering without fear saying "do i look like a fool to you? I won't take this. Buhari accused  me in the public and the trial must be open to all, I won't accept this."

Earlier before the arrival of Binta Nyako and the accused today the 10th of January 2017, the DSS were seen barring people from entering the courtroom including the press. Efforts made by Nnamdi  kanu's brother to persuade them to allow people access into the premises proved abortive.

On further enquiries as to the rationale behind the unmerited obstruction, the DSS agents replied that dictator Muhammadu Buhari has ordered that no press should be allowed access into the courtroom. One of the DSS officials further went on to say that only one family member relating to the accused (Nnamdi Kanu) is allowed entry and reiterated again that there will be no media coverage of proceedings.

Justice Binta Nyako arrived shortly afterwards and settled down to preside over the day's proceedings of allowing masked witnesses to testify against Nnamdi Kanu. But Kanu without hesitation was heard thundering from behind the shielding apparatus that there will be no court sitting without the presence of Biafrans and his family members outside. When asked why he said so, he replied "Buhari cannot accuse me in the open and try me in secret." 

At this point, Binta Nyako who could no longer hide her annoyance adjourned the case to Thursday 14th January 2017, and cowardly jet out of the courtroom in frustration.

Muhhamadu Buhari, the dictator in chief of the Nigerian government is completely enforcing a COMPLETE secret trial of Nnamdi Kanu for a charge the federal government of Nigeria is yet to establish a single evidence.

The Indigenous People of Biafra is hereby placing the entire world on notice that Muhammadu Buhari is determined to convict Nnamdi Kanu extra-judicially. ENUGU— An Enugu-based renowned spiritual leader and activist, Prophet Anthony Nwoko has released his 2017 prophesies bordering on the country Nigeria, the agitation for the sovereign state of Biafra, President Muhammadu Buhari, IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu and South-East religious leaders.

In his prophesies titled, “My New Year Message To The Country And The Biafrans nation, 2017, A Year Of Liberation For Biafrans”, Prophet Nwoko said the issue of Biafra secession will be stronger as he foresee the glory and victory of Biafrans returning to them this year, adding that President Buhari can’t realize his ‘Change Agenda’ for Nigeria until he allows the Biafrans to go.

Nwoko declared 2017 as a ‘Golden Jubilee Year’ as the Biafra war started in 1967, and 2017 is the 50th year of Biafra spiritual battle, saying that the storm is over and that it is time for celebration as the Biafra nation is one to reckon with in 2017.

Message For South-East Religious Leaders
Prophet Nwoko said, “The religious leaders from the Southeast especially in Enugu state, has not spoken about the light, the moon, and the star shining from the Southeast. Are they Antichrist? “If they should continue to conceal the glory of God; the black Saviour from Biafraland, they’ll pay the prize.

Prophet Nwoko challenged “Rev. Ejike Mbaka who is from Enugu state to step forward and welcome the light of the world in Enugu state this year instead of concealing the glory of Enugu state.

“On Bishop Chukwuma’s statement that the Sultan’s visit to Enugu has united the Christians and Muslims in Nigeria, the Spirit said that many are called but few are chosen. Bishop Chukwuma is not speaking the mind of the Holy Spirit. He is a politician and a carnal man who does not know there’s a glory in Enugu. The religious leaders in the Southeast failed by allowing the Sultan to come and preach for them in Enugu,” thereby desecrating the holy land of Enugu.

Message For The Igbos
Nwoko said, “Let the Igbos wake up from their slumber, you have no other nation than Biafra; a glorious nation. Biafra will show the light to the world. The Igbo should not despise the plan of God. This is the return of Igbo glory, Igbos should take their birthright, for it is God’s doing, your light has finally come, you’re advised to welcome the glory from the Southeast".

“The runners in a race only one takes the prize. The Igbos have won the prize, God will uplift the Igbo nation(Biafra), above other nations because of his glory to the world which is the moon, the star born, the Messiah. The spiritual global manifestation is from the East, the light of the universe has emerged.”

For the Igbos in diaspora, Nwoko said, “You have no other home than Biafra, a prophet of prophets is in Biafraland to actualize your dreams, continue to support God’s project, this is your promise land, the new Jerusalem.”

Message For Nnamdi Kanu and Biafrans
Nwoko said: “2017 is the year all the Biafra detainees across the 36 states of the country will be released, starting from the 1st quarter of 2017.

On the visit of Former Abia state Governor, he said, “Nnamdi Kanu should be wise in dealing with Orji Uzor Kalu, because, Biafra is a home of Chukwu Abiama. The wisdom of God is already here in Biafraland, no carnal man will come to deceive the righteous because Biafra is God’s project.”

On the presentation of masked witnesses to testify against Kanu, Nwoko said: “Masquerades in court for Nnamdi Kanu shows the darkness in Nigeria, the nation hates light, just as they did not want the moon from the Southeast to manifest. They’re wicked and evil, heaven is set to judge them.”

On the Referendum to be embarked by IPOB, the clergyman said; “When God is building a nation, no one can challenge his plan. IPOB doesn’t have to seek people’s support for Biafra restoration because God who has the authority has declared it. Biafra is not a political nation, it is a spiritual and divine nation with a peculiar mandate to the whole world which must be fulfilled.”

Prophet Nwoko also asked Igbo leaders and political office holders from the Southeast to stop lamenting saying they are the cause of Kanu’s detention as they lack and hate the truth. He said; “They are aware that there is one moon that covers the world and that moon is in the Southeast, yet they conceal the truth and expect a miracle.”

Message For Buhari and Nigeria
Nwoko said, “Nigeria as a corrupt country is not righteous, Aso-rock is demonic. Evil leaders ruled Nigeria. Not even Buhari can change the country to glory in 2017. Nigeria denied the Holy Spirit from the Southeast his right to lead the nation and the world through his glory because he is an Igbo man. The solution is; let my people go so there will be peace in the world.

Message For Enugu State and Biafraland
Nwoko said: “Enugu state will be the city to watch in 2017 because the angel of God will take-off their mission from Enugu to sanitize the Igbo land. Revival will take place and I am prepared and determined to lead the spiritual cleansing of the promised land in Biafra because the spirit said, “if my people.... can change from their wicked ways and repent, the God will heal their land,” the curse in Igbo land will be removed again and the Igbo nation will flourish.”

He went on to say that...“The wicked have planted an evil seed in Igbo land. It is time to uproot and cleanse the promise land for his glory to manifest. The enemies have done a lot of spiritual havoc in the states of Biafra not to progress, not to know their mission as Israelites. They have put hatred for them not to love one another and not to know where they are coming from".

He warns...“Enough is enough for these aliens. Can something good come from Nazareth and can something good come from Biafraland? My answer is that the light of the world, the Prince of peace is here to take us to a glorious nation. The Igbos must unite to take their mandate as the light of the world. Bishop Kukah from the North must come to Enugu and welcome the glory of God from the East; that is Nigeria’s problem".

Prophet Nwoko pointed out that “God is using Biafra as a project to save the world from injustice. Light and darkness cannot work together. There are hatred and jealousy on Ndigbo because of their God-given gift of glory.”

Prophet Nwoko also replied the statement credited to Junaid Mohammed that the Igbo will suffer huge consequences should they secede from Nigeria.
According to Nwoko, “I want to tell Junaid Mohammed that only the Holy God builds a nation of righteousness which the whole world will emulate. Biafra is a project of Christ. He has all it takes to guide his people; peace, prosperity, salvation. 

The Almighty is in charge of the Biafra nation, building it for the whole world to see his glory. Biafra is from above, my people will go and serve the living Holy God. Him(Mohammed), Obasanjo and others will bow in Biafra.”

Reacting to Obasanjo’s advice for Igbos to develop their land during the Southeast economic and security summit in Enugu, Nwoko said, “This is a challenge. I advise the Igbos to wake up and take their position as number one; the first and not the last.

“The South-West and the North knows the Igbos have a great mission and role to play in the world. The world is waiting for you to take-off. You’ll bring salvation to the whole world, calling on the religious leaders from the South-East to come to Enugu and witness the moon, the stars that cover the whole world.

“Until they tell the world the truth about the glory in the Southeast, especially the religious leaders, they’ll never see the light of the day. The Lord says He will not share his glory with anybody. Let them proclaim the truth and be blessed. There are blessings in Biafra that will bless the whole world because of the glorious light from above given to them, yet they continue to cry and perish. He urged them to seek the face of God.”

IGBO LEADERS MAINTAINS DEAFENING SILENCE AS BUHARI CONDEMNS NNAMDI KANU...But Released A Convicted Terrorist, Kabiru Sokoto

For the avoidance of doubt from those who doesn't know him, Kabiru Sokoto is a released culprit who was serving his lifetime in prison after committing a heinous crime against humanity. He is a well-known terrorist trained by President Muhammadu Buhari who used him and his gang of Boko Haram insurgents to mastermind the killing of many innocent citizens in order to blackmail and discredit his political opponents and to bring down the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan. He used these dreadful terrorists in rigging himself back into power having been rejected by Nigerians on three previous attempts. 

The convicted Boko Haram kingpin, Kabiru Dikko, alias Kabiru Sokoto, was convicted on a two-count terrorism charge by a Federal High Court in Abuja on December 20, 2013, presided by Honorable Justice Ademola. Kabiru was found guilty after trial and was then sentenced to life imprisonment.

The court found him guilty of facilitating the commission of acts relating to terrorism and concealing information from security agencies on December 25, 2011, planting a bomb in a car at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Madalla, Niger state which claimed many innocent lives while scores were critically injured.

Granted that the President is constitutionally empowered by Section 175 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended, to exercise the prerogative of mercy in favour of any person concerned with or convicted of an offense, there is conditions precedent to the exercise of this power. The prerogative of mercy can only be exercised in favour of any person upon the recommendation of the body known as the “Presidential Advisory Committee on Prerogative of Mercy.”

After the recommendation, the President must consult with the Council of State in line with Section 175 (2) of the Constitution before he can exercise his prerogative of mercy in favour of any person convicted.

There is a pointer indicating the fact that such recommendation wasn't made by the statutory body assigned with such responsibility, instead, President Buhari arbitrarily released a rascal, Kabiru Sokoto, without consulting or getting the approval of the Presidential Advisory Committee on Prerogative of Mercy for Kabiru Sokoto to be granted a pardon.

It is pertinent to state here that Buhari is a President without an atom of regard to the rule of law, he breaks and impedes every law in the Nigerian constitution, meddling in every activity of the state as well as flouting competent court orders.

It is a display of sheer hatred and vindictiveness for somebody like Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), with no involvement or indirect ties to acts of terrorism or killings to be held extra-judiciary in detention not to talk of subjecting him to secret trial, whilst a confirmed, condemned and convicted Kabiru Sokoto was tried and sentenced in the public, and now being granted State pardon by his master, the Chief sponsor and negotiator of the Boko Haram sect, Muhammadu Buhari.

As malicious as this sounds, unsubstantiated and wicked insinuations by some Igbo leaders to assume rehabilitation of second Niger bridge, resource control, and presidential slot is the problem of Biafrans when their innocent son Nnamdi Kanu is being held illegally in captivity not for any criminal record whatsoever, but for agitating for his legitimate right and the rights of all Biafrans; the Biafra independence that would benefit Biafrans as a whole.

It is baffling and bewildering why some mischievous Igbo leaders still maintain deafening silence, sitting in the comfort of their homes mopping while their son Nnamdi Kanu is being held in detention, tortured and dehumanized for agitating for his people's freedom especially when Buhari is about to jail him through secret trial while they did nothing to condemn Buhari's actions against Kanu and IPOB.

From the standpoint of public policy, it is unthinkable for a convicted terrorist who facilitated the murder of innocent people to be granted state pardon. What signals are they sending to the masses and the outside world? What will be the motivation for such an offensive pardon? That will amount to legitimizing the insane and beastly ideology of Boko Haram especially when they have not renounced such evil and destructive ideology.

Again, how many members of the terrorist sect have been convicted since the insurgency began and since Buhari assumed office? None whatsoever because Buhari is sympathetic to their cause and has sworn to avenge the death of any member of Boko Haram by stating that "any attack against Boko Haram terrorists is an attack against the Islamic caliphate of the Northern Nigeria".

Why should any reasonable President ever think of freeing Kabiru Sokoto whose conviction has bolstered the anti-terrorism war?

It is not necessary for Muhammadu Buhari to release the prisoner of conscience, citizen Nnamdi Kanu, who has twice been granted bail by two competent courts of jurisdiction. It is also not necessary for Buhari to respond to Biafra agitation by acknowledging self-determination for Biafra sovereignty. But it was easy for Buhari to grant aid and abet a condemned rogue known in the person of Kabiru Sokoto. What a hypocrisy!

The continuous incarceration of citizen Nnamdi Kanu in Kuje prison, Abuja, despite previous court rulings for his release, while releasing Kabiru; a deadly and high-ranking terrorist whose atrocious acts were confirmed by a court of competent jurisdiction will amount to dancing on the graves of innocent Biafrans and Nigerians who have been murdered by the sect.

President Buhari, whose administration has rendered many Nigerians useless and everything in Nigeria stagnated with plagues that had visited eight villages in the North followed by recent economic recession facing the damnable lawless entity, Nigeria, will be so callous and insensitive of Muhammadu Buhari not to have noticed that all these calamities and misfortunes that have inflicted on Nigeria and more to come are as a result of the innocent man Nnamdi Kanu whom he kept in his custody while killing his peaceful people (Biafrans). Buhari should release Nnamdi Kanu to save Nigerians from experiencing more problems and hardships.

Buhari cannot escape the law of Karma, Igbo leaders, on the other hand, must not go unpunished.

As the Buhari led Federal Government of Nigeria "decreed" and In(justice) Binta Nyako court ordered secret trial of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and 3 Others slated for January 10th and 11th,  2017, approaches, Buhari is through the "media Hawks in the Presidency" currently ordering (and sometimes inducing) the media houses in the country and beyond to report the  trial as "partial shielding of witnesses" instead of secret trial that the government "decreed" and the court truly ordered. 

The aim of the presidency according to our source is to confuse the public and make the Biafrans who have been voicing their rejection of the secret trial as those who are making a mountain out of a molehill and make the accused appear as the villains should they reject the decreed secret trial.

Our source who had gone to one of the media houses to see a childhood friend, Timothy Chukwu (not real name) met him with a man who Timothy will later introduce as "one of the media Hawks from the presidency". Who according to him (Timothy) interfaces "notoriously" for the presidency on how they want information reported.

Off course, Timothy was skeptical of how the secret trial can be reported as being "partial shielding of witnesses" without the public accusing his organisation of being compromised especially since the case has generated a lot of interest and commanded a worldwide following. 

However, the media Hawk made it known that it can be done that all that needed to be done was for the same route that the media houses used in "repackaging" a tyrant and a dictator like the current President of the country, Muhammadu Buhari and selling him to the public as a repentant democrat to the public to be followed.

He believes that if the secret trial is reported as a "partial shielding of witnesses" constantly for just 2 weeks that it will change the narrative and may restore the battered imagine of the President and the Justice Binta Nyako (who had while delivering the ruling on the secret trial claimed that the court belongs to her and she can do whatever she wishes) and everybody will smile to the bank. 

The media Hawk specifically asked Timothy to check out how "Premium Times" has been reporting the secret trial as a "partial shielding of witnesses" if he is in doubt that it can be done or needs a lead on how it can be done.

Two Killed Over N500 In A Bloody Clash With Hausa/Fulani and Igbo Traders In Enugu

ENUGU— Just when the dust raised at the New Artisan Livestock Market over the killing of an Anti-cult Policeman by some furious Fulani mob is beginning to settle, another altercation which claimed two lives during a bloody clash between an Igbo and Fulani people erupted at the New Garriki Cattle Market, Enugu, on Wednesday 28, December 2016.

The “mêlée” which happen late on Wednesday evening, culminated with the death of Ifeanyi Ifeacho, from Anambra state, whose corpse is now deposited at the Enugu state University Hospital’s morgue, Parklane and one Fulani man identified as Ali whose remains is said to be lying at UNTH, Ituku-Ozalla.

According to an eyewitness, trouble started when a Fulani man, Ali came from New Artisan Market with a cow to slaughter at the New Garriki abattoir, he proceeded to where Ifeanyi worked as an attendant to slaughter his cow, following the closure of New Artisan Market by the state government earlier this week.

The eyewitness said when Ali finished slaughtering his cow, he gave Ifeanyi N400 instead of the usual N500 fee for slaughtering a cow in the abattoir. Ifeanyi was said to have insisted that Ali must give him the remaining N100 but the Fulani man remained adamant, maintaining that he would not pay any other money.

The misunderstanding degenerated to a fight between the two and in the ensuing mêlée, Ali pulled out a dagger from his cloth and stabbed Ifeanyi severally on the chest. Ifeanyi slumped on the ground and died instantly.
Ali attempted to escape from the market but some outraged Igbo traders grabbed him and killed him in turn but another witness said it is not certain that Ali really died because there are chances of his survival as the police took him away and later told them that he died at the hospital but according to them, they suspect a foul play between them and the police as they might end up settling the matter in the absence of others as the police came back that night to plead for peace.

However, when Chukwuemeka Chimerue of BIAFRA WRITERS visited the scene of the incident, normalcy is gradually returning to the market following the deployment of Anti-riot policemen and some agents of the Nigerian army including Enugu South LG Central Neighbourhood Watch who all came to arrest the situation and restore peace and order in the market and environs, even as Ifeanyi’s blood was seen littered all over the scene of the incident.

Speaking on the issue, Mrs. Ajia who expressed shock over the incident said, “We’ve never witnessed this kind of thing before, we’ve been here since 1997. These Fulanis came from Artisan market after killing a policeman there, so they came here and we admitted them temporary until they can find another place but they started fomenting trouble.

“At the slaughter, we have rules and regulations guarding our activities here. When the Fulani man stabbed Ifeanyi, some irate youths descended on him but he disappeared. We don’t want them here, they should go back to where they’re coming from. If not because of the presence of the security operatives who came to arrest the situation, things could have gotten out of control”.

Also, Mrs Chioma and Master Odinaka who both narrated the unpleasant ordeal, stated that they see no reason why Ali should kill Ifeanyi, adding that the man Ali killed was not even the Ifeanyi he paid N400 but the Ifeanyi(Because they share the same name), that came to stop them from fighting when trouble was brewing after the first attempt to stab Ifeanyi failed.

They also stated that the Chairman and Security head of the Cattle market is a Hausa/Fulani man who offered the sum of N20,000 to the irate youths to plead for calm but they all rejected the offer, maintaining that the Fulani people should vacate their land as the height of their wanton violence are becoming annoying and unbearable for them to condone.

They accused the security details of the market of biasedness and not working effectively for the general welfare and protection of the traders, adding that they are only after money.

One of the traders identified as Chigozie Okeke while venting on the matter said that assuming the unfortunate incident had happened in the North, the Fulanis will not tolerate that, adding that they would raze down the shops and other landed properties belonging to Easterners. He disclosed that he was forced to come down to the East because of the Jos riot in which his shop, goods, and apartment were razed down by angry Fulani youth.

According to Okeke; “There is nothing like one Nigeria, the riot that kept me in this condition today was as a result of the riot that broke out in Jos, Plateau state some time ago.

“I was living at No. 33 Gadabiwu street in Jos, I use to sell women’s materials like George, Nigerian wax, and the rest but during the riot, they razed down my shop and my apartment. If it were to be in the North that this terrible event happened, all the investments owned by the Igbos would have been burnt down by now including their buildings.

“There is no place as safe and peaceful as Igbo land. The Igbos are the most kindhearted and peaceful of all the ethnic groups in Nigeria, they welcome strangers but I don’t know why the Northerners are so wicked hearted, they don’t look for peace. What happened here is exactly what happened at Artisan market where they killed an Anti-cult police officer and these set of people has come here to create crisis.

“They’re heartless and Igbos are now living as slaves in Nigeria. We Igbos don’t have right in the North and also down here in our fatherland. They treat us as slaves and yet they claim we’re one Nigeria, it’s better they give us Biafra so that we go our separate ways,” he bemoaned.

Okeke also passed some of the blames to public office holders who represents the South-East in the state and national Houses of Assembly for neglecting their people, saying it is better they don’t exist.

He said: “The Nigerian government is supposed to tackle these issues. I don’t see the reason why this will be happening when we have governors and those representing us in various state Houses of Assembly, the Senate and the House of Representatives. It would be much better we don’t have these government officials because they don’t carry out their functions effectively. They’re just there occupying seats and positions, doing nothing apart from securing their personal benefits.”

However, investigations carried out revealed that on hearing the sad news of his son’s sudden demise, Ifeanyi’s mother collapsed and was rushed to the hospital. Ifeanyi is the only son of his mother. A visit to their residential apartment not too far from the scene of the incident saw their home under lock and key as of the time of filing this report.

Meanwhile, commenting on the matter, the Enugu state Police Command Public Relation Officer, PPRO, Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the incident said the command has deployed Anti-riot policemen to New Garriki market immediately to prevent the situation from escalating.

According to the Police Superintendent, “Two persons were confirmed dead during a clash between an Easterner and a Northerner over an alleged misunderstanding that arose between them in the evening at Garriki Awkunanaw Market.

“Security has been beefed up in the area by Enugu State Commissioner of Police, Douglas Agbonleni, to avoid escalation and further breakdown of law and order, just as a full-scale investigation has commenced into the incident.”
