POEM: LITTLE DID THEY KNOW

February 14, 2019

Victoria. O. C. Agangan | For Biafra Writers

When they killed,  maimed
Intimidated  and kidnapped  us
Little did they know,
They were planting seeds on fertile land for Biafra 's harvest.

Little did they know!
O! Had they known. ...
What will happen after their python danced?
How they have touched the lion's tail...

Hahahaha!  They never knew
They had triggered the bomb,
That will upset their channels
With provocative revolution.
Resolute devotion,
Resilient dedication,
Retribution demonstration!

Little did they know,
They had channeled in
International recognition
Developmental progression
And final freedom  projection
For Biafra!

Today, we rise above defeat
Stand without retreat
Conquering without defeat
As Biafran sun has risen in the East!

All hail Biafra!
Long live  Biafra!
In thee, we rejoice!

Poem: I Look Up The Hills!

Biafra Cenotaph Enugu-Biafraland

By Victoria Agangan | For Biafra Writers

December 26, 2018

I look up the hills unto Biafra
Till when will thy kingdom come?
The waves and eaves so long ago
Unto thee assign and beckon.

I look up the hills and see the dews
Falling as rain on Biafran soil
These are tears dripping from eyes
Cut down with life, full in them.

I look up the hills and foresee
Trails of dust been raised,
For help so close by is here to rescue
Alas! We will be free from woe and doom.

But then I see, blood spilling,
Guns booming, mindblowing splitters
As war to freedom looms and
Suspense holds sway...

And again! I looked up the Biafran hills
Oh, see! Her flags are raised!
Hurray! Our victory is here!
And so our people unite!
For victory, at last, is spelt in
CAPITAL  LETTERS!

Poem: Nigeria: Fast Approaching Doomsday

By Victoria Agangan | For Biafra Writers

December 26, 2018

I see her wailing and weeping
Like a whining puppy, she is crying
Just as in the movies, Nigerian doomsday is fast approaching.

Doom! Doom! Doom! Sounding
Like Bang! Bang! Bang! Knocking.
Ceaselessly, she is weakening
Her lies are flipping and slipping
Down the corridors of shame.

A wooden throne showcased as gold
Covered grave full of rotted bones
Shabby foundation hastily formed without our consent
Borne out of force and greed, is now
Collapsing, tumbling, and falling,
None can save her.

The Nigerian cabals, the ineffective Senate, the hypocritical politicians, even the seemingly hypnotized populace cannot stop her inevitable delete.

This overripe concoction is too old for plucking and now will have to be brought down anyway and anyhow.

The beckon is on all lovers of truth to join forces with Biafra.
Let us restore our lost prestige, hope and faith in our posterity.

Jubril is exposed, Nigeria is no longer a safe home.
She has terrorists as military personnel

She operates in mafia style, no more action groups but intimidating sectors.
A dilapidated house is only good for demolishing, therefore Nigeria’s doomsday is fast approaching and like Humpty Dumpty, her fall will be fatal.

Poetry: The Day Of Visitation

By Eluwa Chidiebere Chinazu | Biafra Writers

August 28, 2018

The humiliation is colossal-
The embarrassment from Vulture-like rulers
Against those they call their infants
Braggadocio, these Vultures make bogus
Of these infant-kings begging them
But the truth shall wear its garb of divination
On the day of visitation

These elders of doom in shepherd's clothing
They have hijacked the ship of plenty
Sailing for the poor
The poor die penniless
Like rotten fruits, they drop daily
And no one cares

They leverage on the carcass of their people
They get "change" from the enemy
For killing their own people
The people want bread, not blood
Oh! Callous well-offs

My people are humiliated by their insult
Forthwith, I refrain
From writing epitaphs
And singing dirges
Though I am still attending the funeral of my brothers and sisters
I would rather die than live through this humiliation

On the day of visitation
When the young visits swords of vengeance on the old
This my anger revoked by your unrelenting sabotage
Shall be laid to rest

The few fellow hungry stricken ones
Those you give guns to guard you
Shall disperse to safety when they see the masses' rage
Then, you shall collapse like a sand castle
In the face of the whirlwind
Then I shall paint the face of nemesis
On the Dracula's sepulchre.
