BIAFRA: Biafran Secessionist Movement Grows Stronger in Nigeria

BIAFRA:
Biafran Secessionist Movement Grows Stronger in Nigeria

On May 30, many people in southeastern Nigeria will remember those who lost their lives in one of Africa’s most brutal wars. More than 1 million people died during Nigeria’s 1967 to 1970 civil war known as the Biafra War The conflict erupted after leaders from southeastern Nigeria declared that the region would secede from Nigeria.

Memories of the war remain strong for those who lived through it.

“Have you been walking with somebody and the bomb killed him and all you have to do is look at the corpse and continue walking? Even if it’s your sister, you just continue walking because you’re running for dear life? Or have you been hidden on the roof of a building because you are afraid because your mother is afraid the soldiers will come and rape you?” says Enuma Okoro, who was 21 when the war broke out.

“In my compound, we saw several skeletons of dead people. My father’s compound was flattened. It was a war front,” says Obum Okeke, who was 7 years old when the war started.

The war gained widespread global attention once pictures of starving Biafran children were published in the international media. The Nigerian government had formed a blockade, making it difficult for aid groups to reach Biafra. Many children starved and developed a severe condition that became known as kwashiorkor.

“First of all, the first thing you notice is the stomach bloated," says Christopher Ejiofor, a traditional king in his community in the southeastern state of Enugu and the aide to Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, a military officer, and leader of the short-lived Republic of Biafra. "The arms to the bones, the legs to the bones, the thigh to the bones, the head, skull. Can you imagine that? That is a starving a child. And that is what happened everywhere in Biafra,” he says.

The war ended with the surrender of Biafra in January 1970. Biafrans returned to Nigeria and the country once known as Biafra, ceased to exist. But in recent years, the pro-Biafra movement has resurged. Supporters say the grievances that led to the war have still not been addressed.

Poll: growing support

A survey released this week from a Nigerian research group revealed that the pro-Biafra movement is gaining support, particularly among young people who did not experience the war. The rise could also be a reaction for a region that has received little infrastructural development from the federal government.

“I am supporting it [Biafra] because that is who I am,” says senior university student Sofuru Afah. “Nigeria is an artificial creation by the British. I am not a Nigerian and I have never been and I never will. Buhari hates our people.”

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari fought against Biafra during the civil war as a young soldier. He says he will not tolerate the Biafra movement. Under Buhari’s administration, Nnamdi Kanu, leader of one of the more popular pro-Biafra groups, called IPOB, was detained in 2015 on charges of treason, criminal conspiracy and belonging to an illegal society. Kanu was released on bail last month after spending nearly two years in prison in the Nigerian capital of Abuja.

IPOB’s deputy, Uche Mefor, told VOA the Nigerian government cannot ignore the voice of Biafrans. He says May 30 will be a day for the world to recognize because pro-Biafrans will unite in peaceful resistance. Some pro-Biafrans will stay in their homes while others plan to join street rallies.

“The compliance on that day will indeed convince the world that the people of Biafra are actually ready for their self-governance. We have our right to self-existence and it doesn’t matter what anybody things about it,” he told VOA.

The Nigerian government is determined to preserve Nigeria. Speaking at a Biafra remembrance forum in Abuja this week, acting president Yemi Osinbajo said Nigeria should remain one and all Nigerians should strive to achieve an ideal Nigeria.

“We are not there yet, but I believe we have a strong chance to advance in that direction. But that will not happen if we allow our frustrations and grievances to transmute into hatred,” Osinbanjo said during the address.

Lawrence Akpu and other disabled Biafra war veterans gather to discuss their support for the pro-Biafra movement. They want southeastern Nigeria to secede and form the country of Biafra.
But, the message of one Nigeria is too late for many people like Lawrence Akpu, a former Biafran fighter. During the war, shrapnel cut into his spinal cord. Today, he’s confined to a wheelchair. Even though he’s poor and begs for handouts, he says he doesn’t regret fighting for Biafra and will fight again.

“If we join our hands together to seek Biafra, we shall get Biafra. Because we have no place in Nigeria,” Akpu says.

Akpu joins a group of other disabled Biafra War veterans on a hot afternoon. They reminisce about the war and soon, they begin to sing the war songs that kept their spirits inspired to keep fighting.

Nigeria: A Failed British Experiment

BIAFRA:
Nigeria: A Failed British Experiment

12th May 2017

Honestly speaking, I don't care whether gullible Nigerians get aggravated for calling Nigeria a "zoo", because to me, calling Nigeria a zoo is even a promotion; because, even in the animal kingdom, there is a form of orderliness. But in the contraption called Nigeria, nothing works. Government functionaries are thieves, looters, and so corrupt that the word corruption looks more innocent than the people themselves.

The forceful amalgamation of that contraption called Nigeria since 1914 till date, has brought nothing good to the populace than calamities, marginalization, genocide and pogrom.

Nigeria, a concoction of the selfish British government comprises of Yoruba and Hausa-Fulanis nation (90% Muslims) and Biafran nation (99% Christians). It was created for the purpose of exploiting Biafrans mineral resources.

READ: Biafra: Killing To keep Nigeria one is Worthless: Biafrans should go if they want – Gen Akinrinade

Upon Nigeria’s independence, the British government reposed the mantle of leadership to illiterate radical Islamists and gave them the mandate to rule over their "slaves" (Biafrans) in perpetuity.

Isn't it laughable that Nigeria adopted a government and a constitution based on democratic settings without knowing the true meaning of Democracy? The radical Islamists (Hausa-Fulanis) who controls the power knows nothing about the word Democracy and because of this, the application of democratic principles are almost inexistent.

Nigerian citizens were taught in school that Democracy "is the government of the people, by the people and for the people". So why is Nigerian government so despicable whenever the tenets of democracy are to be put into practice?  The Nigerian government will molest, imprison or slaughter any rational citizen that speaks the truth. Nigeria claims to be a democratic country but unleashed carnage on innocent defenseless Biafrans for seeking self-determination legitimately.

These are some features of Democratic Government:
1. The government is run under majority rule.
2. Doctorial approach to governance is never condoned.
3. The fundamental human rights of the citizens are upheld.
4. Independence of the judiciary is paramount.
5. The principle of separation of power is strictly upheld, i.e All arms of government must be independent in other to perform its constitutional functions accordingly.

None of the aforementioned features does the Nigerian government obey.

Nigeria a country that banned the importation of clothes, rice etc but suppressed or rather closed all the textile factories with excessive tax. The worthless Nigerian government banned rice importation but opened the borders for livestock (cow) feeds/grasses importation. Animal kingdom indeed.

What do you think we should call a country like Nigeria that Violates the rights of the citizens on a daily basis, despite the "Right to freedom of expression" enshrined in the constitution?

What do you expect me to call Nigeria that maims, marginalizes and massacre Biafran race whose mineral resources are feeding and yielding revenue to the government?

It's only in Nigeria that after paying taxes the politicians will take all the money to the UK while the citizens die of hunger and starvation.

You're also aware that thousands of innocent Biafrans, IPOB had been slaughtered and shot at during protests and at meeting places.

Nigeria is the most corrupt and despicable place you will ever think of. Nigeria is a place where the quest for Freedom is a crime and classified as treason.

The Nigerian government will secure and grant amnesty to the 4th most deadly terrorists called Fulani herdsmen but will slaughter to pieces innocent unarmed Biafrans for seeking their freedom and go scot free.

MUST READ: BIAFRA: WHAT HISTORY HAS THOUGHT US IN FREEDOM FIGHTING

British government and Nigerians will always laud Gowon that spearheaded the genocide of 6 million Biafrans but detain, incarcerate, & subject Nnamdi Kanu to all forms degrading and inhuman treatments for spearheading the freedom of his people the Biafrans.

Why should Nigeria be called a country?
Nigeria was just forcefully amalgamated in 1914 to last for only a hundred years which expired in 2014 (100 years) and should be dismembered. Biafrans were amalgamated with Hausa-Fulanis and Yorubas on the quest to loot, exploit and at the same time keep us in perpetual enslavement under the Yorubas and Hausa-Fulanis.

British/Nigerian government despite unleashing genocide on the Biafrans, still went ahead killing and marginalizing us and the world and the UN is not concerned about it. Is freedom a crime? Is UN keeping mute on all these genocides perpetrated on Biafrans because they are blacks? Why can't a referendum be conducted, just like it was done with Britain leaving the EU and the present upcoming Scotish referendum?

READ THIS TOO: Biafra: How IPOB Rendered Nigeria's Policy Makers Unresponsive And Useless Before The World

Biafrans are scattered all over the world in [more than 100 countries] because we are fed up with that concoction called Nigeria. Biafrans are scampering all over the world for greener pastures because Nigeria is a total hell; if you doubt, get yourself down to Nigeria. There are no good roads, water, electricity, health care services, or even good schools.

The only appreciation we get despite feeding Nigerians with our oil is genocide, maiming, suppression, and marginalization. We have said it time and time again that the mixture of these three divergent ethnic nationalities, with basically no cultural or religious or even common value system has never worked since it was formed and will never work. We cannot continue to cohabit with people who always see us as animals to be slaughtered at will with no consequence.

The British government will supply arms to Nigeria or rather to the Hausa-Fulanis, their favourite slaves, and the Yorubas will advance the genocidal strategies then jointly they would unleash death on Biafrans.

Biafrans say NO to "One Nigeria". Nigeria is a mixture of totally different races with different cultures, foods, traditions, religion, value systems, ideologies, norms, and beliefs. We can't live together, thus we want out since the forced amalgamation has expired.

Could you imagine blending together UK and Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq or Pakistan? The amalgamation of radical Hausa-Fulanis who are 100% Muslims,  and the cunning Yorubas who are as well 70% Muslims with Biafrans has never worked and will never. Hausa-Fulanis and Yorubas have immense hatred for Biafrans and derive much joy in killing us.

The world must know, that Biafrans are more civilised now than in 1967-1970. Biafrans are therefore urgently calling for a Referendum now because if Nigeria and her British ally keep pushing us to the wall by their continuous slaughtering of Biafrans, a massive war will definitely be inevitable.

We Biafrans, the Indigenous People of Biafra [IPOB] have come a long way. there is no compromise to what we hold dear. We are not asking British-Nigeria to give us their land, rather we are asking for the freedom of us and our future generation. It's no crime, It is enshrined in the UN human rights declaration and charter and the world must take note of that.

Breaking: IPOB Leader Nnamdi Kanu Fulfills Bail Conditions, Leaves Kuje For His Home

Breaking:
IPOB Leader Nnamdi Kanu Fulfills Bail Conditions, Leaves Kuje For His Home

Confirmed reports reaching the news desk of Biafra Writers has it that Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra has regained his freedom from Kuje prison in Nigeria's capital Abuja after meeting the outrageously masterminded most stringent bail conditions today, 28th April 2017.

He was seen being escorted out of Kuje by prison officials flanked by his lawyer, Barr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor and other family members.

It will be recalled that the presiding judge in his case of an alleged treasonable felony charge, Justice Binta Nyako handed down the most outrageous bail conditions to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu hoping he will never meet the bail conditions, but surprisingly, those conditions were met this afternoon and has finally regained his freedom.

Keep tab with us as we update you with more on the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

BIAFRA: UNTIL JUSTICE TSOHO IS SACKED, NATIONAL JUDICIAL COUNCIL CANNOT REALIGN THE JUDICIARY SYSTEM.

BIAFRA:
UNTIL JUSTICE TSOHO IS SACKED, NATIONAL JUDICIAL COUNCIL CANNOT REALIGN THE JUDICIARY SYSTEM.

"If the judge is not fitted to try this case, it might be rightly said that he is not fit to try any case in which the same problem could arise, and that would be absurd." ...Lady Hale (Standards Of Conduct On The Bench: The Independent 22 May 2000)

Following cases of established corruption, compromise, and abuse of office leveled against Justice Tsoho, the judge that has presided and intentionally prolonged Nnamdi Kanu's (the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra,  IPOB) case from 25th January 2016 till 26th September 2016, the Nigerian judiciary has been reduced to an international ridicule.

RELATED POST: BIAFRA: NJC MUST SACK JOHN TSOHO TO REDEEM THE IMAGE OF THE JUDICIARY--By Ejike Ofoegbu

During the court proceedings on 19th February 2016, between Nnamdi Kanu and the Department of States Security, DSS, the prosecuting counsel pleaded with the honorable court to allow masked witnesses to testify in the courtroom against Nnamdi Kanu. Judge Tsoho the presiding judge ruled against it and stated thus:  "masquerades can not testify in my court." Consequently, in the next court sitting, Tsoho licked his spit, as he overturned his own ruling to allow the same masquerade he refused in his previous ruling to testify against Nnamdi Kanu. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Thereafter, this very inconsistent judge, Tsoho stated why Nnamdi Kanu will not be granted bail which is as follows: "Nnamdi Kanu is a threat to national security. If he was granted bail, he might jump it because he possessed two citizenship Nigeria and British". Hilarious isn't it?

RELATED ARTICLE: BIAFRA: EXPLOSIVE! WHY JOHN TSOHO PULLED OUT OF NNAMDI KANU’S TRIAL— Kanu's Lawyer Barr. Ejiofor

If I have to explain the absurdity of the aforementioned awful statement made by biased judge John Tsoho, then the beholder is not teachable by any persuasion. Judge Tsoho lacks every competence to settle even a domestic dispute, let alone a very consequential case,  as that of Nnamdi Kanu and his efforts to restore the ancient city of Biafra. Tsoho's verdicts are not dependent upon ethics and laws. He judges to suit his personal ambitions and that of his employer,  President Muhammadu Buhari.

If Nnamdi Kanu is a threat to national security (without any lethal weapons but just only a radio transmitter disseminating the gospel of the restoration of the sovereign state of Biafra) why has he never fired a bullet before his detention?  Why have his followers not raised arms against the Nigerian government in protest of  his long and continued detention? Is Nnamdi Kanu a terrorist? No. Has he stolen or killed before? No. Is possessing dual citizenship prohibited in Nigeria? No.

From the above ruling by Tsoho, you can deduce that Tsoho is obviously biased, corrupt and on a mission to refuse Nnamdi Kanu bail while seeking for every possible means to convict him.

RELATED POST: BIAFRA: NATIONAL JUDICIAL COUNCIL BLASTS JUSTICE TSOHO: ‘’YOU ARE RECKLESS AND MUST BE PUNISHED FOR ABUSING JUDICIAL PROCESS."

Tsoho's resignation from Nnamdi Kanu's case is not enough, he also has to drop his wig, he must be SACKED because judges like him are known for dragging a democratically instituted government into anarchy and rendering the system into a lawless state. They diminish the masses' confidence in the judiciary which defeats the whole essence of their office.

In light of these inconsistencies and abuse of judicial process targeted  against the leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu;  IPOB cannot withdraw from questioning Tsoho's integrity and possible role in aiding and abetting of criminal conduct.

Indeed, a thorough probe of judge Tsoho's "Contempt of Court", "overrule of his own rulings" and abuse of judicial process; need to run to ensure effective overhaul of the already ridiculed Nigerian judiciary.

Biafra: OCTOBER 3rd Monday to 7th Friday CALL CAMPAIGN; WHEN A PHONE CALL MATTERS

This October 3rd to 7th; Biafrans and friends all over the world will commence another round of phone campaign to officials of United States of America (USA); European Union (EU) and United Nation (UN).

Consistency is the key to achievement and whilst it defines determination, the People of Biafra and friends of Biafra all over the globe must know that this call campaign is a major contributor to the restoration of Biafra and freedom of illegally detained leader of the people of Biafra. Biafra restoration is about saving humanity in this part of the world, it is about fighting injustice, fighting crime against humanity and restoring justice where it was vehemently denied. This Biafra-call campaign is a remarkable tool in fighting secretly sustained genocide against a free and law-abiding people of Biafra. The world must hear the moaning of the battered people of Biafra, the screaming of the innocent children being slaughtered on a daily basis. Biafrans and friends of Biafrans must step up the phone call campaign this time around and tell their stories and call for justice, for help and for the safety of humanity in this part of the world.

The trial of the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has shown the level of crime being perpetrated against the people of Biafra. While the military sustains the genocide ordered by the President of Nigerian in the person of Muhammed Buhari the judiciary has sustained its own attack orchestrated by the President. The resignation of Justice John Tsoho is the second trial Judge to pull the plug. The first trial Judge left the case after his order for Kanu to be released was flouted by the President and subsequent declaration by the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra that he has no confidence in Nigerian courts. The former who recently resigned as a result of corruption; he made a ruling on a day and instead of move on the next day with his verdict, he overruled himself to serve the interest of the President of Nigeria.

Justice has been denied on the people of Biafra in all works of life, ranging from political to judicial establishment in Nigeria. Even when the people stand to oppose or peacefully protest to push for justice and their right; they are shot and crushed, no dissent voices but slaves that should remain quiet in the face of tyranny. As the Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra continues to be incarcerated without the law; it is pertinent to know that it is on the orders of Buhari that Nnamdi Kanu is imprisoned and not by the law of the land. In 21st century is a prisoner of conscience, a man the law freed but a State power held, making it clear that there is no law in Nigeria. There is the need to call the attention of the world on the plight of a free people; there is need to call the awareness of the world on what is going on in Biafra. Biafran people as species of terror have become a thing of great concern, the responsibility of the world to save its kind.

Amnesty International had continued to raise alarm over what is going on in Biafra but the world pertinent authorities have kept mum while rights are trampled. Ranging from dictatorial tendencies against Biafra to the execution of innocent people of Biafra; the act of State terror is immense that the voice of Amnesty kept echoing for action. Biafrans and friends of Biafrans must take this opportunity to call out and force authorities into action. Unarmed and law-abiding people of Biafra must not be allowed to be extinguished but crime against humanity being perpetrated on them addressed by means of calling the awareness of the world through this campaign.

Meanwhile, the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu committed no crime as it is obvious that UN 2007 charter on the rights of Indigenous People lawfully backed the agitation by Nnamdi Kanu. The agitation which has been peacefully and lawfully followed ought to receive admiration but bigotry drove Buhari into arresting and detaining Kanu notwithstanding the court orders that released him. The continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu is at the verge of snowballing into a serious crisis that will worsen the refugee crisis being suffered all over Europe and this is one of the reason Buhari must be compelled to respect the law and release Nnamdi Kanu.

This current situation in Biafra land is to form part of the message in the phone campaign to the US, EU and UN officials. Biafrans and friends of Biafra all over the world are expected to be part of this campaign. Everyone is to call and declare to them the plight of Biafrans and why they should help to save the souls of Biafrans (SOS).

BIAFRA: JUSTICE JOHN TSOHO SHOULD NOT ONLY STEP DOWN FROM KANU'S CASE, BUT MUST ALSO RESIGN OR BE SACKED WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT

BIAFRA:
JUSTICE JOHN TSOHO SHOULD NOT ONLY STEP DOWN FROM KANU'S CASE, BUT MUST ALSO RESIGN OR BE SACKED WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT

Monday 26th September 2016

Today, 26th September 2016, Justice John Tsoho stepped down from presiding over the case between Nigerian government and the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, director of radio Biafra and Biafra TV; Nnamdi Kanu. After the counsels of Nnamdi Kanu and the other two defendants insisted that he must hands off the case, stating that their clients do not have confidence in his court because he is biased.

It will be recalled that Justice John Tsoho had earlier stated that he will continue to preside over the case till the end. The question is; why is he stepping down now? Why did he not persist? He was quoted today in the court as saying “Even if I am cleared of any bias by the NJC, I will not continue with this case,” Is he already afraid or what?

RELATED ARTICLE: BIAFRA: NIGERIAN JUDICIARY DRAGGED TO THE MUD AS NNAMDI KANU'S DEFENCE TEAM MUSCLES JUSTICE TSOHO OUT OF CASE.

John Tsoho committed enough unpardonable blunders; he should resign or be disgracefully stripped of his wig and gown. It is important to note that;
1. Justice John Tsoho has been delaying justice for Nnamdi Kanu. He has been on this case for about nine months and has only achieved perversion of justice with his bias mind, playing the script of his paymaster.

2. He denied Nnamdi Kanu bail with baseless reasons and remanded him with the other two defendants in Kuje prison, even when he knows that Hon. Justice Ademola granted him (Nnamdi Kanu) unconditional release, after Magistrate Court, Wuse 11 granted him bail.
3. He entertained an application written on a piece of paper from the DSS without following the due process of the court on appeal.
4. He reversed his previous ruling against secret trial and mask witness and turn to say that Nnamdi Kanu will be tried in the secret with masked and screened witnesses.

RELATED: BIAFRA: NNAMDI KANU ARRIVES COURT IN GRAND STYLE...See More Photos

Now he has stepped down. If he thinks that he will go scot free after being so unprofessional and wicked, he should think again.
The Attorney general of Nigeria (AGF); Hon. Justice Abubakar Malami (SAN), and the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), The Hon. Justice Mahmud Mohammed should ensure that Justice Tsoho is sacked if he fails to resign with immediate effect for smearing the Nigerian Judiciary with an indelible mark of unprofessionalism.

John Tsoho gave the world a black image of Nigerian judiciary, he made the world believe that Nigerian judiciary is not independent of the influence of the executive arm the government led by Muhammadu Buhari. But this can be corrected; the image of Nigerian judiciary can be redeemed by the attorney general of the federation, by sacking John Tsoho.

READ TOO: BIAFRA: NIGERIA STOOD STILL FOR BIAFRA AS FREE NNAMDI KANU CAMPAIGN CONTINUES TO MAKE WAVE ALL OVER THE WORLD: WE ARE UNSTOPPABLE!

Sacking John Tsoho will tell the world that Nigerian judiciary does not tolerate incompetent, unprofessional, and bias judges. The attorney general must understand that if Justice Tsoho is allowed to continue as a judge, he will continue his rascality and wickedness on Nigerians and corrupt other judges like a virus. Justice John Tsoho must be dismissed if the Nigerian judiciary is to redeem its already tarnished image.

BIAFRA:
BOMBSHELL!!! YOU CAN’T HOLD BIAFRANS FOR TOO LONG, NIGERIA’S FOUNDATION IS FRAUDULENT— Evang. Agbo

24th September 2016

Albeit, he may be wrong about his perception of IPOB under the able leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu as an organization of people or group of Biafrans, but Evangelist JOSEPH AGBO, the visionary of the Pot of Oil Ministry, as he calls it, and a lecturer of philosophy at the Ebonyi State University, EBSU, Abakaliki, is one person who cannot be waived or shoved aside when it comes to history and all the nitty-gritty of the foundation of Nigeria and even that of the western world.

In this exclusive, yet very interesting and educative interview conducted at Urban Radio’s  studio Enugu, on the program ‘Urban Parliament’ and supervised by CHUKWUEMEKA CHIMERUE of Biafra Writers, Evang. Agbo went down memory lane, telling us about how he thinks it all started, how we found ourselves into this mess and the circumstances surrounding the emergence and rise of IPOB on the path to reclaiming their pride and nation, Biafra, which according to him, is a very big ‘Ijele’ masquerade that existed many years ago before the amalgamation that brought us where we are today.

The resource person in the studio who spoke on the topic, “IPOB and Federal government,”also faulted the foundational structure of Nigeria as a sovereign entity, the illegal arrest and continued detention of the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu which he described as a very big mistake and then proffered solutions on how best to tackle these problems through first and foremost, he said, is the release of the IPOB leader, dialogue and eventually referendum, amongst other things, insisting that you cannot hold a people for too long against their wish.
Enjoy...

First of all, let me ask you this, how did we get here at a time where we have someone being locked up for close to a year now, if not more, and we have witnessed protests everywhere in the country and people being shot by security agencies, we have also heard factions brought
up from the IPOB, TRIPOB, and the other one; RENIPOB or so. So, with all these, can you give us a history from the start of how we get to where we are today?

Thank you. Well, I think the issues are quite... I would like to make a distinction here, the distinction between the IPOB that is an organization, that is a group and then the IPOB that is a people, there is a group that emerged a couple of years ago by that name being led by Nnamdi Kanu and of course, there is also the Indigenous People of Biafra as a people, as a place, so we’re going to look at this matter from both angles because there are  people called the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra and there’s an organization called Indigenous People of Biafra, that is known simply as IPOB.

And so, IPOB emerged... I think it’s certain from... I want to state clearly that am not a card carrying member of IPOB; the organization but I am from the people, you know, the indigenous people of Biafra. I live in that territory which had existed 500 years before Nigeria came into existence in 1914. In the Portuguese map of 1492 that is produced, the map of Africa, there’s a vast area named Biafra in that map. And it’s right there in the archives for those who cares about history.

And the question you’ve asked is that how did we get here, how did we get to the point where a man is locked up for over a year now and there is going back and forth, the judiciary appears to be confused about what to do about him, today they grant him bail, tomorrow they rearrest him, you know, all manner of legal acrobatics have being going on and then how did we get here... We got here because there’s a lot of injustices in the land.

I have always said that Nigeria is the only country that places peace before justice. You know, the last part of the second stanza of the Nigerian anthem says “we want to build a nation where peace and justice shall reign.” But you know you can never have it the other way round. If you want peace, you must have justice, so you can’t put the cart before the horse. So a lot of injustices within the land and I want to first of all state that Nigeria came into existence as a federation.

READ: "ONE NIGERIA": A FRAUD HANDED OVER TO HAUSA-FULANI FOR THE CONTINUED SUBJUGATION OF BIAFRANS--By Ezza Heritage

The founding fathers of Nigeria took about 10 years, 1950 to 1960, fashioning out a federal constitution because the peoples within the territory called Nigeria are so diverse; culturally diverse, religiously diverse, traditionally diverse, linguistically diverse, and what have you. And then they said, look, if we have to really stay together, then we must fashion out a federation that looks like that of the United States.

You know, in the United States, it’s difficult sometimes... I was saying the other day, I don’t know whether there’s somebody called an American-America in America. It’s either you’re an African-America or a European-American, a black-American, you know, all those kinds of things like German-America, a Jewish-America, etc.

And they said, look, if we must co-exist, because, in fact, most of the States in Africa, practically all the States in Africa came as a result of the Berlin Conference of 1884, 85, and so the conditions and circumstances that were necessary for the emergence of the modern nation-States did not exist in Africa when these States came into existence, they were just shared out like cakes. You know Achebe said that they were shared out like “pieces of chocolate in a birthday party,” and Britain got the territory that is known today as Nigeria.

And they said okay no problem, if it was a problem if our marriage was forced or done without our consent, can we do something about it? And so the leaders of Nigeria started doing something about it from 1950, you remember the Macpherson Constitution of 1951, the Lyttleton Constitution in 1954 up to the independence constitution of 1960. They fashioned a federal constitution, by 1960, Nigeria actually had four different constitutions; one federal constitution and three regional constitutions because these regions now constituted a federating unit.

You can’t have a federation without a federating unit. So they now constituted a federating unit. But sometime in February 1963, there was a demonstration in the Mid-West; what later became the Mid-Western region. There was a demonstration, you know, the minorities in the then Midwestern Nigeria began to ask, they said, look, the Urhobos, the Itshekiris, the Western Igbos, the Isokos, the Ijaws, were saying, that look, “we have to have a sense of belonging, all these big tribes appears to be swallowing us up.”

And the then Prime Minister Tafawa Balewa appointed Edward Longe, a Briton, to supervise a referendum. And that referendum held on 13th July 1963, an overwhelming 89 percent voted ‘Yes’ and after that vote, they took it to the National Assembly and the Midwestern region was created.

So, by 1963, we had five constitutions; one federal constitution and four regional constitutions. Now, they formed the constituting units just like in the United States in July 1776. On 14th July in Philadelphia, the 13 colonies that met at the second continental Congress meeting decided that it was time to rebel against the British throne, so they drew up a Charter of existence, “so let us form the United States of America.” Now, they said it has to be a federation, and a federation, no constituting unit should dominate the other. That’s usually how it is, and they cede some power to the center and that’s how Nigeria came
into existence.

READ TOO: CHRONICLE OF BUHARI’S HATRED FOR IGBOS (PT 1)

You know, a lot of things happened which we may require a day or more  to begin to analyze, you know, between that 1960 to 1966 when the coup that took place and all the other issues that happened that now led to the war of 1967 to 1970. During that war, Gowon promulgated a petroleum decree of 1969 which changed the derivation formula of revenue to allocation and I think that’s where the problem began.

The center, Nigeria, now became a centralized state because when Aguiyi Ironsi passed promulgated decree Number 34 on 24th of May, 1966 to unify Nigeria in the line with military structure, all the regions especially the North, protested, they said, look we are a federation, let the regions stand the way they are but Aguiyi Ironsi said, “let us have a united Nigeria,” but they said ‘No’ and the response was five days later, 29th May.

When the pogrom began and so by the time Gowon passed out in 1969, everything else changed and then all the resources that belong to each of the regions now became owned by the Federal government. I think that’s where all these problems began and we now began to have overtime, systemic injustices. Over time, people who are supposed to own their thing (resources), they now became Federal government own and then created a structure whereby every month people goes to Abuja and collects money after 30 days and when they comes back, they share it with their brothers and Nigerians had never really made a constitution and that’s part of the problem because the constitution we use to give governors and president so much power that it becomes very difficult for resources to trickle down to the people who need these resources.

Okay, let’s fast-forward also to today, tell us about how IPOB as a group started, at least, the much that you know, you’ve earlier stated that you’re not a member of IPOB, but can you tell us a little bit about how it started and what led to it being formed in the first place?

Now, in 2007, the United Nations passed a resolution, that resolution was called “The Rights of the Indigenous Peoples” of the world to determine their destiny, it’s UN resolution 2007, you can check it out. I can’t remember exactly the year IPOB came into existence but am sure it’s not more than five years and then it’s as a result of some of the issues and challenges that MASSOB had.

READ THIS TOO: BIAFRA: IPOB WILL NEVER CONCUR TO A SECRET TRIAL OF NNAMDI KANU...JOHN TSOHO SHOULD BE READY TO DROP HIS WIG IF HE INSISTS

They said, look, MASSOB appears to be operating like an exclusive group, so let us have a group that would really belong to the indigenous peoples of Biafra no matter where you are because the original Biafra that was announced on May 30th, 1967, of course, included those in Delta, those in what we call today South-South, you know, the East central/Eastern region of that time which includes today’s Rivers state, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa and Cross rivers as well. And so the IPOB essentially emerged in order to insist on that right which the United Nations had granted every indigenous people of the world.

They said, you have the right to determine your own destiny and the Biafrans are a people; I said before that they had existed, they have been on the map for over 500 years before Nigeria came into existence and so IPOB now emerged and said look, allow the Biafrans to determine their own destinies. Let them make a choice on what they really want, do they want to belong to Nigeria or do they want to stay on their own. They want to be given a chance to
decide and it’s a right which the United Nations had granted and which also the United Nations in their wisdom, knew that this is a natural right.

Am an evangelist, if you read Genesis chapter 1 from verse 26, where God said “let us make man in our own image and let us have dominion over...” if you read it down it says “over the fishes of the sea, over the birds of the air, over the animals in the field,” but you didn’t see “have dominion over man on earth, No.” A man is not designed to have dominion over another man, you can have dominion over animals, over birds, over some parts of nature, but you cannot have dominion over another man, so if you try to dominate man for too long, it won’t last.

The Soviet Union came into existence by fort in 1917 when Vladimir Lenin came secretly back from exile in Switzerland and hijacked a meeting in Moscow; a meeting of all people’s Soviet and what they did was to promulgate a lot of decrees and within one month, a flood of decrees formed the Soviet Union and in 1940, Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania were forced into the Union and that's the Soviet Union; the largest country in the world, existed for 72 years and when Mikhail Gorbachev came, he said, this country is existing fraudulently, it’s existing in deception.

A lot of things were being hidden, they didn’t want people to know that there’s a serious crisis rocking, hunger in the Soviet Union, so he said, look, I want to do glasnost and perestroika(This is a kind of a reform introduced by Gorbachev which eventually spiraled out of control and led the Soviet Union to collapse), which is restructuring and openness, he wants to open the society. And by the time he opened the society and people saw the decay, people said it was an agency thing that broke up the Soviet Union, no, you can’t break up a people except they’re willing to break themselves, otherwise it’s not cheap.

So when you package a falsehood, something you don’t want to give a foundation, the thing is bound to have a problem and the Soviet Union had that problem, Czechoslovakia had the same problem, Yugoslavia had the same problem and so IPOB said “we want to determine our own destiny, we have the right to determine our own destiny, we are Biafrans and if we are going to be part of Nigeria, why don’t you allow us to vote, there’s a referendum, a referendum which created the Midwestern region, so why can’t we allow the same referendum now?

It was a referendum that created South Sudan, a referendum pulled Britain out of the EU and this is 2016, so why are we having the double standard?” You apply some rules in some places and you don’t apply some rules in some other places.

I heard somebody speaking on CNN the other day and he was saying..., as a matter of fact, some people came from the part of American House of Representatives, they met us this year, they met some of the organizations that I belong to, not IPOB, they came and said, look, this thing that is spreading all over the world about IPOB... so they came to find out and we told them our own side of the story. So that was what led to the IPOB and they said look, we can’t take up arms, we want to be nonviolent, we want to ask for our right, just like Martin Luther used to do those days in the early 60s in the United States, when he finished preaching, he mobilized Americans... and it’s that right that he demanded in late 50s and early 60s that led to a black man sitting today at the revered office of the President of the United States of America, so that’s basically what IPOB wanted and of course, just like I said in one other program, it’s like the Biafrans are like the Jews that were in Egypt in slavery, so each time they demand to leave, Pharaoh will say ‘No,’ otherwise, it shouldn’t be a problem that somebody said, I want to build my house on the right side and another person said my own house will be built on the left side, so why should there be a problem with it?

Why do you think that the Federal government has decided to ignore the UN Resolution that gives indigenous peoples the right to self-determination or decide to be on their own and the second question is, do you believe that the whole of Igbo people wants to be on their own, or is it just a faction? I mean, do you believe that every Igbo man or woman is wanting to also belong to this new entity called Biafra or is it just a faction?

Thank you, there are questions that I can only hazard a guess. The first one, why do I think that the federal government appears to be ignoring the resolutions of the United Nations of 2007. ...
Well, I think, there are two reasons, number one is economic, the other one appears to be religious, I may be wrong, but I have been in this struggle, studying it since 1993 after the annulment of the June 12 election with Anthony Enahoro and some other people who had asked for... We belonged to a movement then known as “Movement for New Nigeria,” and we’ve looked at the future, we’ve looked at the situations and said look when a house has a foundational issue, you don’t need to patch it and begin to paint it.

Carefully look for a carpenter who will climb up and remove some very useful
zinc and useful wood and pack them very well and then do a bricklayer’s job and re-lay a foundation and build again, that’s what we were saying that time in Movement for New Nigeria. We said look, Nigeria appears to be collapsing and so there’s an economic path, I know from my studies, Nigeria has up to 606 oil wells. We’re exploiting about 95 oil wells and some two, three years ago, Senator Ita Enang stood on the floor of the Senate and said that 83.5 percent of Nigeria’s oil wells are in the hands of the North-West and this is the mainstay of Nigeria’s economy.

I also remember in 1944 when the West Africa student’s union came to the North and asked them to support a Constitutional reform so that Nigeria will have independence, and a united Nigeria, you know, all those kinds of talks. So they issued a communiqué and it read in part, “Holding this country together is not possible except by the religion of the prophet, if they want political unity, let them accept our religion.” Now, I was also listening to one Mallam sometimes ago, I think it was on this station and he was saying that when a Fulani man moves, he moves with his cattle and his religion if I heard him very well. Now I think there’s a religious angle in all of this.

MUST READ: FOUNDING FATHERS FAULTS "ONE NIGERIA"... BUT NOW, ONE NIGERIA ON THE BLOOD OF BIAFRANS

There is an allegation that there’s a plan to Islamize the whole country and so if you let this person be, two things will happen, one, the 83 point something percent of the oil wells that they have, they have to lose it naturally, two, the people that they may want to Islamize may now want to stand on their own because I remember the popular statement made by Uthman Dan Fodio; that he’s going to run with the Qur'an until he dumps it in the Atlantic.

The Atlantic is the South and of course, I remember in 1960 the pronouncements by Sir Ahmadu Bello, the then leader of the NPC, eleven days after Nigeria’s independence, he said and I quote, “the new nation called Nigeria shall be an estate of our great grandfather, Uthman Dan Fodio, we must ruthlessly prevent any change of power, we will use the minority in the North as willing tools and the South as a conquered territory, we will never allow them to have control over their future or resources, we will never allow them to rule over us.”

Now, if you put these two statements made by Bello and Dan-Fodio together, I don’t see any other reason why somebody... Like if you put me in this studio, I didn’t enter this studio by force, right? I entered on my own, and if I say I want to go and you said no, I can’t go and that I must keep talking here, until the year 3000, well, I’ll attempt to see whether I can talk until the year 3000 but of course, somewhere along the line, am going to break down and I’ll pretend as if everything is alright but I’ll be beating to see whether I can see a razor blade, if I get that razor blade, I’ll be using it to cut these walls (pointing at the studio walls) gradually to see whether I can open up a place of escape, that’s what has happened.

And so I think there’s basically this concept that the South is a conquered territory and there’s no need to allow them to go, that’s what am thinking and that’s why I said it will be difficult for me to imagine what the federal government is thinking, I can only hazard a guess from the facts that are before me. So why would a people say they want to stay on their own and you said ‘No?’

Staying together is not compulsory... For example, if you say we must stay together, then let’s come to the table, what do I bring to the table, what do I take out of the table, and that’s what people who talk about restructuring, I have a problem with it. I said, one-quarter of me belongs to restructuring and three-quarters belongs to the other side which is “to your tents oh! Israel” why did I give one-quarter a chance? It's because, if you want to restructure, they won’t allow you. If you restructure and it’s not fiscally, you know, you generate your own resources and pay tax to the center, if they won’t allow you, then what are you restructuring?

It’s not like creating another lame state in the Southeast that you now so it’s restructuring. Are going to remove other zones that have seven and bring it to the Southeast or are you still going to leave that one at seven? Are you still going to leave states like Kano at 44 local governments and Lagos with 20, with the same population? Kano and Jigawa have 71 local governments, the whole local governments in the Southeast is 95. So what type of restructuring are they talking about? Are you going to let it happen?

MUST READ: Caliphate agenda and ideology: Caliphate Colonialism-The taproot of the trouble with Nigeria (Part 2)

So these are the reasons why restructuring tends not to work...you know, some 20 years ago, I had written an academic article and I suggested that Nigeria should go off oil exploration for 30 years, that we are producing lazy leadership, leaders who just wait for 30 days and they’ll go and collect money and share it with their brothers.

According to the constitution, it gives a governor power to spend money for 6 months that’s in section 121 and 127, section 91 and 92, gives the president power to spend money for six months. I have not seen that kind of thing in any constitution anywhere in the world, I also study constitutions too. So you see, that at the end of the day...,I think it’s because of these two reasons that they desire to get slaves that will provide...

Just like Lord Lewis Vernon Harcourt; the one whose name we named after Port Harcourt said in 1913 that “we’ve found a southern lady of means(referring to the Southern Nigeria), that is going to get married to the North.”He said that he wished that the union will prosper and that it would release the British government from the treasury-- the money they’re spending on the treasury. And so the South appears to be “the Southern lady of means married to the North,” and to let them go is like letting the Israelites go from Egypt.

Now to the second question, the one you had asked if I believe everybody wants to belong to Biafra. Well, the people that I’ve lived with, within the Southeast here, that I’ve lived with and done research for the past 10 years, that’s why I have thrown this as a challenge, I also told those people who came from American house of representatives, I said, I challenge you people, if you think this is a figment of some people’s imagination or some people who don’t have work to do, why don’t you grant a referendum, you’ll see what will
happen, that’s the only way to answer that questions... (gets interrupted)

But why am asking is because I need to know if you think, you know, from what IPOB is
saying...(interrupted)

...No, from me, personally, I think that there’s an overwhelming... We’ll even have more than the 89 percent that voted to create the Mid-Western region, I tell you, we’ll have more than 89 percent because of a referendum... That’s why in the Mid-Western referendum, it was announced in February and the referendum took place 5 months later which was on July 13th, 1963, so 5 months was given to sensitize the people. So if you give us one month to sensitize the Igbos, please allow me to speak for the Igbos as an example, about whether they prefer freedom or whether they want to be president of Nigeria, am sure they’ll vote 90 percent, that they want to be free on their own if the Nigerian state won’t allow them to express themselves.

I have always asked this question, have Nigeria asked how Biafrans survived for 3 and half years in spite of the blockage, why is it that they have refused to tap the grease that these people(Biafrans) used? They could have used it to change the entire Nigeria and rid the entire Africa but I think the Soviet Union that time said they didn’t want another Japan in Africa.

Now, in your own terms or opinion, do you think the federal government is handling the case of Nnamdi Kanu well enough?

They’re not even handling it well,... you’re talking about well enough, they’re not handling it well at all because it is difficult to find out, you know, they’re just accusing him, they’re mostly trumped up charges, if you look at it very closely, they’re trumped up charges and somethings beats my imagination, you don’t call an American president and he begins to tell you about one man, one terrorist, assuming it’s even a terrorist that was arrested, he will not be able to discuss it, he’ll tell you to go and meet the legal authorities.

READ THIS: BIAFRA: JOHN TSOHO THE CORRUPT JUDGE WILL SOON BE JUDGED BY HIS EVIL: NNAMDI KANU'S CASE WILL BE HIS GREATEST UNDOING

The way the president, Muhammadu Buhari use to talk about it as if he’s the one that really went to arrest him and that the young man(Nnamdi Kanu) is locked behind his house or room, you know, it leaves much to be desired, so that if you don’t suspect something, you’ll be forced to begin to suspect that there is some kind of foul play going on somewhere.

And where do you feel that they’ve got it all wrong?

Well, they said the man... They’ve accused him of all kinds of things which they have not been able to prove. Once in a while the courts have actually granted him bail and he was rearrested and that’s one place they got it wrong. And you keep seeing judges washing their hands off, it’s like they’re afraid, people are afraid, you know, the word ‘Biafra’ number one, is a big ‘Ijele’ masquerade, people just don’t want to face it and two, Nnamdi Kanu appears to be a very courageous young man.

You know, the way you operate may not be the way I operate, some people. Some people may be very brazenly, while some people may be more diplomatic but you know, I think the young man must have used too much diplomacy and it appears not to be working so he... So they got it wrong by not allowing the court to decide his fate. Because when Nnamdi Kanu was arrested, the first person that tweeted was Vladimir Putin, the Russian president and so on, they called him a self-determination activist, that’s huge if you ask me. For the Russian president to say that Nnamdi Kanu is a self-determination activist, it means the world is watching and I don’t think that arresting a man... Maybe if you arrest him, you’ll say he is running an illegal radio, the radio station is not located in Nigeria, you arrest him for abusing people, well, you charge him for libel or something, I don’t know but libel is not enough to lock someone for this long, that’s where I think it’s wrong about it and everyone now knows that it’s because he’s talking about Biafra that it’s like that. I’ve been talking about Biafra before Nnamdi Kanu, so I don’t know what the young man has done specifically. They’re too many other people who are talking about Biafra, if you begin to arrest all of us, they’ll probably not be enough jail or prison in the whole world to accommodate us because they’re hundred million Igbo people scattered all over the world.

So what next, I mean, what do you feel is the way forward?

Simple, two things basically, let the young man be released from detention because right now he’s not a prisoner and he’s not directly or exactly facing trial. Release the young man and IPOB people appears to be waiting, you know, they have killed so many of them and they’re not afraid to die again because they said since we have the only flag, we have only our hand, we’re just holding the Bible, and they’re shooting us, they can go ahead. The blood of the innocent people uses to speak from the group so we don’t want people to be shot or killed anymore. So let them release the young man.

READ THIS: BIAFRA: Intersociety Writes An Open Letter To United Nation Seeks The Release Of IPOB Leader (Nnamdi Kanu) And Others

Two, if you think that what the IPOB is doing is not true, invite them to a dialogue, let’s sit down and talk. Ask them what they want and do not say you cannot give them, don’t create a ‘no-go-area’. That's why we spent 7 billion saying that we’re organizing a National Conference and the 7 billion went down the drain. Before even Muhammadu Buhari took over, Shehu Sani had told Jonathan, while the election has just being declared victory, he said, carry the Conference documents/reports out of Aso-rock, in order words, that thing was just a jamboree, you just wasted time. But Jonathan was like, look, the Nigerian amalgamation expired on 31st December 2013 because the amalgamation was for the first hundred years, so Nigeria has actually expired...
(Interrupted)

So was that the main focus of the National Conference?

...Yes, yes, no, that was the reason why the National Conference had to come that time. That’s not the focus. The focus was now the amalgamation has expired, let’s sit down at the table and decide a Charter of existence. I said it at the beginning that America, certain things can’t happen in America today, why? Because the America is a product of the Charter; there was an agreement... (Interrupted)

...What am trying to find out is when the idea of setting up a National conference and pulling people together from all over Nigeria; scholars, professors, past governors and all that, you know, was it because then President Jonathan wanted to figure out or wanted to understand about the amalgamation and the Charter, and the things you’re talking about now or were there other reasons behind setting up the conference and then are these one of the things that were talked about?

...No, no, no! You see, there’s a foundation for something, and there’s something you build on it. The main reason behind the National conference was the fact that technically speaking, that there was an amalgamation that was said to be...

You know, some of our lieutenants, some of our partners went to British medium and they formed an amalgamation document and it is stated clearly in that document that it’s for the first hundred years. So, Jonathan appears to be aware of it, I don’t know, but I believe he knew about it because if you look at the speed with which the preparation for the conference was going, you didn’t need to take too many years to prepare for it because he was aware of the public opinion, things that were being said in the media, he knew that technically, Nigeria ceased on December 31st, 2013, so he wanted us to sit down and said okay, let us draw a new Charter of existence, of relationship, and some people didn’t want it, they said there should be a ‘no-go-area’ you know, what led me to this was, he was asking me what do we do, I said, we need to dialogue and in that dialogue there should be no ‘no-go-area’, they shouldn’t create a ‘no-go-area’. When people say Nigeria’s unity is non-negotiable; you’re saying technically that Nigeria’s unity is not unity, that’s the implication. Go to the dictionary, check the word “unity” and check the word “negotiate”. If Nigeria’s unity is non-negotiable, it means they’re saying that Nigeria’s unity is not to be agreed upon, it’s actually to be disagreed upon. It’s simply a paradox!

When our leaders make that statement, they make it without thinking what they’re saying. You’re saying that we should unite and you’re saying that we should not unite. Some people in the South-South has been rumored to have excluded themselves from the Biafran nation, I mean, we have a particular ethnic group in Rivers state, the Ogonis, who had actually agitated for a separate entity. What do you have to say about this, how can this be handled?

You see, I was addressing some people on this issue some two weeks ago and I was saying, look, there’s this false impression that the Southeast actually needs the South-South to survive and that is why we keep bringing them into the Biafran discussion but it’s not true. The reason actually is that the South-South are originally part of Biafra, so it is left for them to withdraw. For example, the leader of the Bilie Human Rights Initiatives (Bilie is Biafran Liberation in Exile), is from Akwa Ibom state, so it’s not true that... Just like you find some people here who may not agree with the Biafran cause even in the Southeast here, that is the same way you find some people in the South-South who do not agree. So it’s not really or exactly the truth.

Either in the old Biafra of 1967 to 70 or in the current situation, there are people... I went to Port Harcourt the other day and I discovered that a lot of people, even in the buses, are discussing Biafra and they are not as it were, Igbos, you understand?

And so it’s just some people, you know, there was a day I was on radio again and somebody was protesting and said, look, we should not include them in Biafra, I think the person was calling from Cross-rivers or Akwa Ibom and another person called from Delta or was it from Edo state and said look, that the Igbos should not be talking as if they are the only ones who owns Biafra, that they are also part of it.

READ: BIAFRA: THE CONTINUED INCARCERATION OF NNAMDI KANU AND THE RELEASE OF KABIRU SOKOTO; REASON WHY IPOB CALLS NIGERIA A 'ZOO'

And I said okay, you see now the problem! So that’s why a referendum will solve the problem. That’s why I keep saying, give people the chance to vote when they vote, they’ll decide what they want. Evang. Agbo, so what are your final words, Sir? I think I’ll conclude by saying that there’s no point holding a people, a human being cannot be held by force. If you must exist together, it must be in agreement.

In 2015, Obama said he’s going to admit Syrian refugees to America. In 48 hours, 13 states told Obama “no problem, admit Syrian refugees to America, the only problem is that they won’t come to our states.” Why? Because it’s a federation, they formed the United States, the United States didn’t form them. So, we should re-federate, if we don’t re-federate, if we don’t restructure..., am talking both as a man of God and as a prognostic social scientist who has studied the situation. This ship; the Nigerian ship seriously is rocking, from the North to the West to the East and to the South, everywhere is rocking, even Abuja is rocking. Why? We have refused to talk as if it is human beings we are dealing with. We’re making it look as if we are shapeless amoebas. It is not so, human beings cannot be held against their will for too long.

...Thank you very much, Sir, for having a time with us.
