Mazi Nnamdi Kanu Writes president Joe Biden, over request for military assistance by Buhari

May 7, 2021 | The Biafra Times

Honorable Joe Biden,

President,

United States of America,

The White House,

Washington DC.

Re: REQUEST FOR UNITED STATES MILITARY ASSISTANCE BY PRESIDENT MOHAMMADU BUHARI OF NIGERIA

Dear Mr. President:

We, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) applaud your election as President of the United States, the most powerful office in the history of the world. We salute your adept and muscular discharge of presidential duties during your tenure in the White House.

Mr President, as you consider Buhari’s request for military assistance to Nigeria, we respectfully urge you to also consider the following:

1. President Buhari has made Nigeria the most dangerous country in the world for Christians, Jews and Nigeria’s indigenous peoples, particularly those of the former Republic of Biafra. Hundreds of thousands are routinely plundered, tortured or killed with impunity by Nigerian security forces controlled and populated by Buhari's Fulani Islamic tribesmen, often in collaboration with Fulani herdsmen (Islamist terrorist group that has been internationally branded the 4th deadliest terrorist grouping in the world). These atrocities have been confirmed and published by US State Department in its various Human Rights Reports on Nigeria, by Amnesty International and other credible bodies. The US Commission on International Religious Freedom has recommended listing Nigeria as a country of concern because of its religious oppressions. United States sales or transfers of weapons to Nigeria to fight Boko Haram are diverted to killing and terrorizing Christians and Jews. The Nigerian army, which leadership is Fulani and Islamist is complicit in these illicit transfers.

2. President Buhari is promoting radical Islam in secular Nigeria. He has endorsed Sharia law in twelve northern Nigerian states. He has treated Boko Haram with kid gloves, releasing from detention hundreds arrested by the previous administration. He recruited them into Nigerian army and offered generous foreign scholarship to hundreds of them. He has appointed radical Muslims to head every security agency in Nigeria, including Sheik Isa Pantami whose profuse support for Al Qaeda and Taliban was widely published recently. Yet, Mr Buhari has refused to sack him from his sensitive position as Minister of Communication overseeing the biometric data of Nigerians. By defending Sheik Pantami, Mr Buhari is seemingly aligning with Mr Pantami’s terrorist sympathies. Mr Buhari is a strong ally of the Islamic Republic of Iran and China; and he has generally pursued policies that put Nigeria at odds with US national interest since you came to office.

3. President Buhari is conducting a genocidal campaign against tens of millions of Christians and Jews, particularly those indigenous to the former Republic of Biafra. These include mass killings, torture, and the destruction of Christian schools, churches and Jewish synagogues. He has arbitrarily branded and terrorized the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a nonviolent group pursuing the Independence of the former Republic of Biafra. Mr Buhari’s draconian measures were geared to retaliating against peaceful demonstrations favoring the restoration of Biafran independence that was cruelly extinguished by a genocidal military campaign Buhari partly led between 1967 and 1970.  He has concocted treason charges against IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu to crush Biafran self-determination, despite the fact that self-determination is legal under Nigerian law. Mr. Buhari’s demonic rule is convulsing Nigeria and creating new safe havens for radical Islamic terrorists that pose potent threat to US interests, from the Sahel to the Gulf of Guinea.

Prayers:

1, We respectfully suggest that you consider, among other things, denying weapons sales or transfers to Nigeria under the Leahy Amendment; listing Nigeria complicit in persecuting Christian and Jews under the Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act.

2, We respectfully urge Mr President to invoke particularly Section 620M of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 (FAA), as amended, which prohibits the furnishing of assistance authorized by the FAA and the Arms Export Control Act to any foreign security force unit where there is credible information that the unit has committed a gross violation of human rights.

In conclusion, we state categorically that the national interests of the United States lie in protecting Christians and Jews in Nigeria, defeating radical Islam and preventing instability in West Africa which will altogether be enhanced by a US-led diplomatic pressure on the Nigerian government to - as a matter of urgency - agree to a UN-supervised referendum on Biafran Independence.

We wish you and your family many wonderful years in the White House.

Sincerely,

________________________

Executive Order on Advancing International Religious Freedom

The White House | Issued On: June 2, 2020

Published on June 3, 2020 | The Biafra Times

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, it is hereby ordered as follows:

Section 1. Policy. (a) Religious freedom, America’s first freedom, is a moral and national security imperative. Religious freedom for all people worldwide is a foreign policy priority of the United States, and the United States will respect and vigorously promote this freedom. As stated in the 2017 National Security Strategy, our Founders understood religious freedom not as a creation of the state, but as a gift of God to every person and a right that is fundamental for the flourishing of our society.

(b) Religious communities and organizations, and other institutions of civil society, are vital partners in United States Government efforts to advance religious freedom around the world. It is the policy of the United States to engage robustly and continually with civil society organizations — including those in foreign countries — to inform United States Government policies, programs, and activities related to international religious freedom.

Sec. 2. Prioritization of International Religious Freedom. Within 180 days of the date of this order, the Secretary of State (Secretary) shall, in consultation with the Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), develop a plan to prioritize international religious freedom in the planning and implementation of United States foreign policy and in the foreign assistance programs of the Department of State and USAID.

Sec. 3. Foreign Assistance Funding for International Religious Freedom. (a) The Secretary shall, in consultation with the Administrator of USAID, budget at least $50 million per fiscal year for programs that advance international religious freedom, to the extent feasible and permitted by law and subject to the availability of appropriations. Such programs shall include those intended to anticipate, prevent, and respond to attacks against individuals and groups on the basis of their religion, including programs designed to help ensure that such groups can persevere as distinct communities; to promote accountability for the perpetrators of such attacks; to ensure equal rights and legal protections for individuals and groups regardless of belief; to improve the safety and security of houses of worship and public spaces for all faiths; and to protect and preserve the cultural heritages of religious communities.

(b) Executive departments and agencies (agencies) that fund foreign assistance programs shall ensure that faith-based and religious entities, including eligible entities in foreign countries, are not discriminated against on the basis of religious identity or religious belief when competing for Federal funding, to the extent permitted by law.

Sec. 4. Integrating International Religious Freedom into United States Diplomacy. (a) The Secretary shall direct Chiefs of Mission in countries of particular concern, countries on the Special Watch List, countries in which there are entities of particular concern, and any other countries that have engaged in or tolerated violations of religious freedom as noted in the Annual Report on International Religious Freedom required by section 102(b) of the International Religious Freedom Act of 1998 (Public Law 105-292), as amended (the “Act”), to develop comprehensive action plans to inform and support the efforts of the United States to advance international religious freedom and to encourage the host governments to make progress in eliminating violations of religious freedom.

(b) In meetings with their counterparts in foreign governments, the heads of agencies shall, when appropriate and in coordination with the Secretary, raise concerns about international religious freedom and cases that involve individuals imprisoned because of their religion.

(c) The Secretary shall advocate for United States international religious freedom policy in both bilateral and multilateral fora, when appropriate, and shall direct the Administrator of USAID to do the same.

Sec. 5. Training for Federal Officials. (a) The Secretary shall require all Department of State civil service employees in the Foreign Affairs Series to undertake training modeled on the international religious freedom training described in section 708(a) of the Foreign Service Act of 1980 (Public Law 96-465), as amended by section 103(a)(1) of the Frank R. Wolf International Religious Freedom Act (Public Law 114-281).

(b) Within 90 days of the date of this order, the heads of all agencies that assign personnel to positions overseas shall submit plans to the President, through the Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs, detailing how their agencies will incorporate the type of training described in subsection (a) of this section into the training required before the start of overseas assignments for all personnel who are to be stationed abroad, or who will deploy and remain abroad, in one location for 30 days or more.

(c) All Federal employees subject to these requirements shall be required to complete international religious freedom training not less frequently than once every 3 years.

Sec. 6. Economic Tools. (a) The Secretary and the Secretary of the Treasury shall, in consultation with the Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs, and through the process described in National Security Presidential Memorandum-4 of April 4, 2017 (Organization of the National Security Council, the Homeland Security Council, and Subcommittees), develop recommendations to prioritize the appropriate use of economic tools to advance international religious freedom in countries of particular concern, countries on the Special Watch List, countries in which there are entities of particular concern, and any other countries that have engaged in or tolerated violations of religious freedom as noted in the report required by section 102(b) of the Act. These economic tools may include, as appropriate and to the extent permitted by law, increasing religious freedom programming, realigning foreign assistance to better reflect country circumstances, or restricting the issuance of visas under section 604(a) of the Act.

(b) The Secretary of the Treasury, in consultation with the Secretary of State, may consider imposing sanctions under Executive Order 13818 of December 20, 2017 (Blocking the Property of Persons Involved in Serious Human Rights Abuse or Corruption), which, among other things, implements the Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act (Public Law 114-328).

Sec. 7. Definitions. For purposes of this order:

(a) “Country of particular concern” is defined as provided in section 402(b)(1)(A) of the Act;

(b) “Entity of particular concern” is defined as provided in section 301 of the Frank R. Wolf International Religious Freedom Act (Public Law 114-281);

(c) “Special Watch List” is defined as provided in sections 3(15) and 402(b)(1)(A)(iii) of the Act; and

(d) “Violations of religious freedom” is defined as provided in section 3(16) of the Act.

Sec. 8. General Provisions. (a) Nothing in this order shall be construed to impair or otherwise affect:

(i) the authority granted by law to an executive department or agency, or the head thereof; or

(ii) the functions of the Director of the Office of Management and Budget relating to budgetary, administrative, or legislative proposals.

(b) This order shall be implemented consistent with applicable law and subject to the availability of appropriations.

(c) This order is not intended to, and does not, create any right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by any party against the United States, its departments, agencies, or entities, its officers, employees, or agents, or any other person.

COVID-19: Nnamdi Kanu stays IPOB's '1 million man march' in US until 2021

Chikwas Onu Ikpe | The Biafra Times

May 14, 2020

Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Wednesday announced the deferment of IPOB's one-million-man march which had been slated for June 20, 2020 in Washington DC, United States of America, till 2021.

The cause of postponing the event, Kanu stated, was owing to the global health crisis which has grounded social activities to a certain degree.

"Our one-million-man march has been postponed until next year; due to the 'impossible' economic, and travel conditions imposed because of Covid-19. The leadership of this movement, worldwide - the very highest command of IPOB - has decided to shift it to June of 2021. We shall storm Washington DC come June next year; no longer next month as it is not feasible because of Covid-19. The social distancing rules, and laws forbid us from gathering in such a huge fashion."

Bring to mind that the said event were to be participated by Biafrans around the globe, Christian communities in Nigeria; not excluding groups and associations of marginalized, oppressed communities across Nigeria domiciled in the USA; towards unmasking the human rights abuses, lawlessness, terrorism, and genocide against Judeo-Christain communities going on in Nigeria.

Howbeit, IPOB hopes to recall the 'freedom march' by next year.

IPOB Hails US Republican Party Over Kanu's Invitation to Trump's Rally

February 2, 2020 | The Biafra Times

IPOB PRESS RELEASE

We the global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) wish to appreciate the leadership of the US Republicans Party in Iowa for their invitation to our great leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu as a special guest at Trump campaign rally on Des Moines Iowa on Thursday, January 30, 2020. Our leader was granted entry to the VIP section of the arena reserved for the top echelon of the Republican Party in the state including the Iowa State Governor Kim Reynolds whom he met briefly.

It is ironic that a man injuriously labeled a terrorist by a biased, corrupt, discredited and dysfunctional judiciary in Nigeria is being accorded VIP status in an event attended by the president of the United States of America whereas Nigeria has been placed on a list of terror ravaged countries banned from entering the US. What this proves is that Fulani rulers of Nigeria are the real terrorists.

Our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the Directorate of State of the Indigenous People of Biafra (DOS) are working very hard and round the clock with stakeholders and most powerful countries in the world to ensure that Biafra is restored peacefully and as soon as possible.

The Fulani Nigeria Government, South East governors and Ohaneze Ndigbo led by John Nnia Nwodo that proscribed and tagged IPOB terrorists can now see that IPOB momentum is unstoppable and Biafra restoration inevitable.

We are calling on every Biafran both home and abroad, particularly the IPOB family worldwide, to remain strong and determined because we are nearly there. No mortal born of a woman can stop Biafra from coming or the freedom that will bring for all other trapped nationalities in Nigeria. Our freedom is ordained from the Most High God in heaven. The success of our ongoing global engagement and diplomatic strangulation of Nigeria will set all captives free.

COMRADE EMMA POWERFUL MEDIA AND PUBLICITY SECRETARY FOR IPOB.

Nigeria Government Playing the Ostrich

By Christopher O Evans | For Biafra Writers

January 5, 2020

The United States recently announced it has enlisted Nigeria among nations closely watched for serious violations of the rights of Christians. The initial reaction by the Nigeria authority was to offer a lame denial. Soon afterwards President Buhari ordered the release of two captives: (1) Sambo Dasuki – security adviser to former President Goodluck Jonathan. (2). Sowore – publisher of an online news outlet, Sahara reporters. Both were held against numerous court orders to free them. Both were not held over their religious faiths.

Dasuki was held over phantom allegations of misappropriation of security funds under the former administration of Goodluck Jonathan. He was kept in custody for over four years without formal charges. Worthy of note is the fact that no one linked to that alleged fraud has been convicted. A prominent northerner said Dasuki was held by Buhari for personal reasons. Sowore, on the other hand, was held for daring to organize protests against abuses of judicial process and human rights. Both men can be classified as prisoners of conscience. The United States authority raised concern over serious violations of Christians’ rights. The Nigerian authority freed two illegally detained prisoners of conscience. The ever naive Nigerians felt that Buhari, out of fear of the Trump threat, had acted to ease tension and present self as compliant to court orders. The move was clearly intended to deceive.

Let me help to clarify the points regarding the Jihadist government of Nigeria’s persecution of Christians:

1. The government, within 24hrs, freed some 270 Dapchi schoolgirls abducted by Boko Haram. In doing so, it left behind the only Christian girl among them, for refusing to renounce her Christian faith and embrace Islam. The little girl, Leah Sharibu, is still in Boko Haram custody to date. Buhari does not care about her, essentially because of her Christian faith.

READ ALSO: Christian communities panic as Boko Haram increases attacks in Borno

2. Massacre of Christians and destruction of their homelands in Kaduna, Plateau, Benue, Enugu, Ebonyi states among others by the government-backed Fulani herdsmen. Buhari showed clear collusion with the murderous herdsmen by refusing to order a clampdown on the herdsmen designated as the fourth most deadly terror group in the world according to world terror index. Not one arrest of the terrorists has been made to date. And whenever locals succeed in capturing one of the marauding herdsmen, government has acted promptly to release them. So no clampdown, no directive to disarm them, no arrests, Miyetti Allah – the umbrella association of the terror group – holding open press conferences claiming responsibilities for the attacks and threatening to launch more notwithstanding. Often they issue their threats flanked by security forces.

Buhari went on air absolving them of guilt and blaming the natives for resisting them. He refused to accept Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen are terrorist groups. Nigerians were shocked when the president designated the terror campaign as herders/farmers clashes and argued the issue was about Fulani seeking for grazing rights. He called for respect for Miyetti Allah and shocked the nation by offering that Miyetti Allah is in the same league with Igbo and Yoruba socio-cultural groups - Ohaneze and Afenifere. While he stopped short of directing the herdsmen to be disarmed, he, however, directed the dissolution and disarming of all vigilante groups south of Nigeria. One week later he ordered all community heads in the north to form local vigilantes. Victims of herdsmen attacks were left more vulnerable. Meanwhile, he assigned military escorts to the herdsmen.

READ ALSO: British govt ‘worst enemy’ of Nigeria - Nnamdi Kanu

Donald Trump, Benjamin Netanyahu and later, Boris Johnson, have detailed report on this. They are aware that Buhari has been building the two Jihadist armies to the tune of billions of dollars amid biting poverty ravaging the landscape. They know the Kaduna state governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, who once threatened that foreigners who dare poke their nose into Nigeria affairs will go home in body bags, have been a funnel through whom government channel billions to the insurgents.

3. Nigerian soldiers invaded venue where IPOB faithful were in solemn assembly commemorating thousands of Biafrans who have fallen by the bullets of Nigerian soldiers since 1966. Nigerian Muslims see every Igbo as Christian. It actually evokes in them a sort of euphoria whenever Igbos are killed or their business interests destroyed. As IPOB assembled to pray, soldiers broke in and massacred them.

Another mindless killing followed the election of Donald Trump as president of the United States. Youths who saw the victory of Trump as liberating for Christianity and a possible answer to the realization of the sovereign state of Biafra, trooped out en mass to celebrate his victory. That euphoric celebration was met with military invasions. Many lost their lives.

While Buhari refused to accept Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen are terrorists, he quickly moved to designate IPOB as a terrorist organization and proscribed them. He did this to justify killing them and to justify the violation of their rights to peaceful agitations. Though the rest of the world would have none of that. They are aware IPOB are peaceful rights’ agitators committed to the restoration of the independent state of Biafra. They operate within the law. Buhari is killing them because they are Christians while freeing thousands of Boko Haram terrorists detained by the former government of Goodluck Jonathan.

Over the Christmas holidays, Boko Haram released a video showing how they have beheaded 11 Christians. Buhari paid no attention. Just recently his government announced levies rising up to N50,000, equivalent of US$14,  for every church wedding in Nigeria, without corresponding levies on Muslim marriages.

Why is the Nigerian authority pretending not to understand what is meant by the United States placing the country in their special watch list of countries with serious violation of the rights of Christians? How does the release of Dasuki and Sowore, good as it sounds, connect with that? Buhari is only playing the Ostrich. But the message isn't ambiguous at all.

Iran vs USA: Nnamdi Kanu warns christians, southerners may become targets in Nigeria

By Philip Ukpe

January 5, 2020 | The Biafra Times

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has said that Christians and Southerners would bear the consequences of the death of Qassem Soleimani, an Iranian military commander killed by the United States.

Kanu’s statement follows a protest by some Islamic sect in Northern Nigeria after the head of Iran’s Elite Quds Force was killed Friday in a US airstrike in Baghdad.

The protesters were pictured carrying a flag depicting the image of Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhamandis and an inscription ‘Death to America: death to Israel.’

Kanu stated in a tweet on his official handle @ Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, that the reprisal attack will tell on Christians and those from the Eastern and Southern regions of the country.

According to Kanu, ”What they failed to add in this banner is "Death to Biafra" because Judeo-Christians, especially Biafrans in Arewa core north of the British created contraption ‘Nigeria’ will bear the brunt of this US strike in Iraq as always. Britain must stop shielding terrorists in Nigeria.”

Biafrans Commemorate the Victims of 9.11 attacks, condemn all manner of terrorism, including the ones being perpetrated by Fulani herdsmen and Boko Haram

September 17, 2019
By Umeh, A. Chiemelie | Biafra Writers

September 11th every year, the government and the good people of the United States of America commemorate and pay tribute to the victims of the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001, which killed over 2,996 people and injured over 6,000. The twin towers of the world trade center and the Pentagon was completely devastated down to its very foundation.

The American national attitude of manifest destiny, hard work and technological innovation made her the most successful and prosperous nation on earth. The libertarian ideals of the founding founders which every generation of Americans uphold, has made their country a nation of different races, tongues, and colours. Immigrants troop in from every continent on earth with their ideals and skills in search of greener pastures. The door of America was opened to them so long as they abide by the American creed and swore allegiance to the constitution. Man worked, God blessed and the land of freedom with the emblem of the statue of liberty became the most powerful, prosperous and dominant nation on the face of the planet.

On this day, Tuesday morning - 11th September 2001, hijackers crashed the planes, American Airlines flight 11 and United Airlines flight 175, into the twin towers of world trade center (the symbol of American economic power) and the American Airlines 77 was crashed into the Pentagon - headquarters of the department of defense (symbol of the American military might). The aim is to cripple the western economy and military superiority and advance radical Islam with the intention to control the world system through the deployment of savagery and fear.

The spread of radical Islam is the aim, the indigenous population and America as the world power, is the prime target. We Biafrans world over, condemn this act of terror and others committed by these men from the underworld. The event of 9.11.2011 led to the declaration of war on terror by the Bush administration. It is the most brutal terrorist attacks against a nation in the history of man and the world has never remained the same since that Tuesday morning.

Together, with the civilized world, we the global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra worldwide, condemn all manner of terrorism in the world including the ones being perpetrated by Fulani herdsmen and Boko Haram in Nigeria in systematic connivance with the Fulani-controlled government of Nigeria, especially in North-East, Middle belt and Southern Nigeria and most notably, the acts of terror being perpetrated in the most gruesome manner against IPOB, whom they have massacred since 2015 till date.

Destroying human life is against our values and way of life. We stand with the Americans on this day of National remembrance. We mourn with those who lost their loved ones and pray that God give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Our heart goes out to the wounded, some of whom till this day, endure the discomfort of brutality of man against his fellow man. We understand their predicaments because we have been on that road before between 1966-1970 even till date. We stand with you on this day. We implore the Americans and the free world to take solace from the words of the psalmist, ‘’though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me’’... for as long as our redeemer liveth, and the world exists, good must continue to triumph over evil.

There is a great need for change in strategy on the global efforts against terrorism. Terrorism has become a worldwide phenomenon with a vast network of groups with the sole agenda of advancing and planting radical Islam in every corner of the world. The alliance against terror needs to be strengthened and reinforced by empowering more friends and allies like the Biafrans who share common values and anti-terror ideals. This can be done through massive support for Biafra towards the attainment of statehood.

If a powerful country like the United States can be attacked, then it spells of the vulnerability that a besieged Biafra suffers. That is why there is need for a concerted effort towards the consolidation of allies, in order to win this global war on terrorism.

If the United States with all her military might and efficient exploits of the CIA can be attacked, then no elite member of the United Nations Security Council is safe.  It is to the best interest of the five (5) permanent members of the U.N.S.C that Biafra emerges as an independent nation. We have a long history with the jihadists that dates back to the 19th century. We have faced their wild-donkey-like aggression and brutality from 1966-1970, therefore, possess the mental will and tenacity to deal a fatal blow to this global terror network and rid the world of this evil.

We recognize the fact that, the five permanent members of the U.N.S.C and the civilized world is making great efforts in dismantling the global terror network. Biafrans are ever ready and it will be a great privilege to stand side by side with your great military forces to end the scourge of terrorism in the world. For if we fail in taking responsibility in Nigeria, the world will not be able to contain the refugees that will be unleashed.

America is the conscience of the world. The responsibility of true leadership is making hard and difficult decisions. It is the duty and obligation of America to protect and defend her core values, principles and ideals of freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness which these terrorists threaten.

What is at stake is freedom in America, Biafraland and the civilized world. For if Biafra is under the threat of the radical Islam and annihilation by the Fulani terrorist militia, then America is not safe. The United States must defend her territory, way of life and the free world through the unalloyed support for the emergence of a free Biafra.

The United States needs to build a formidable alliance with Biafra just as with the state of Israel, because we share so many things in common and are faced by a common enemy for whom the total destruction of the United States and Israel and orchestrating a pogrom in Biafraland is their ultimate goal.

We Biafrans are the originators and a long upholder of the republican and democratic ideals which the United States founding fathers institutionalized and is enjoyed by the Americans. We are bound by a common creed and value system. Therefore, we must form a formidable, strong and indomitable alliance to protect and advance these ideals.

The emergence of the land of the rising sun (Biafra) will certainly change the narrative on the war against terror to a positive one and collectively stop any semblance of the event of 9/11 around the world.

We have to keep faith in the Almighty God that this carnage on U.S soil will never happen again. Bearing in mind the words of Billy Graham, ‘’but now, we have a choice, whether to implode and disintegrate emotionally as a nation or to become stronger.

We must choose to become stronger for the next generation, the indigenous people and the rest of humanity. Radical Islam can never and will never defeat our great people and our great way of life.

Genocide: IPOB place US, UN, EU, AU on notice over the silent genocide against Biafra people, by Nigerian Islamic army

August 1, 2019 || The Biafra Times

IPOB PRESS  RELEASE

We the global family of the Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) condemn the incessant and illegal arrest of innocent people in Aba Abia State since Saturday 27th July, 2019 by Nigeria soldiers. If the ruling terror sponsoring Fulani cabal in Aso Rock headed by Abba Kyari thinks Nigerian Army can succeed in clearing the path for Miyetti Allah to conquer our land for their Fulani migrants from across the Sahel, then they are mistaken.

We are asking the United States ambassador to Nigeria, his British counterpart, EU representative and African Union to note the level of lawlessness being unleashed on peace loving Biafrans by men of the Nigeria Army. A combined force of the Nigerian Army, Police and other security outfits have started providing logistical, intelligence and ground offensive support for the advancing murderous Fulani herdsmen.  Nigerian Army formations in Biafraland have become in effect the advance guard of the invading Fulani terrorists. People are being kidnapped, summarily executed and detained without trial as a way of weakening our resolve in our avowed resistance against Aso Rock sponsored Islamisation agenda in the south.

We know the US mission to Nigeria, British High Commission and the rest will pretend they don't know what is happening but we encourage them to send a fact finding mission to Aba as a matter of urgency to gain a first hand knowledge of the silent genocide being committed by the Nigerian Army against innocent civilian Biafran populations.

If the United States embassy and British High Commission in Nigeria is part of this devilish Fulani ploy to destroy and conquer Biafraland they should let the world know rather than looking the other way as the brutal massacre of civilians continue unabated across Biafraland.

The unconstitutional and illegal arrest of Biafran citizens in Aba since last Saturday must stop. This same Nigerian Army that has failed woefully to fight Boko Haram or curb the activities of their fellow Fulani terror herdsmen are in Aba arresting people at Ehi Road by Kent, close to the shopping center. There they have been abducting dozens of innocent citizens and taking them to unknown locations. None of their victims has ever returned alive. Nigerian soldiers are in Aba terrorizing the residents for the benefit of their Fulanisation agenda. There is no war going on anywhere in Biafraland but every kilometer is Fulani army checkpoint. Civilized nations of the world must prevail upon the Abba Kyari led government of Nigeria and her Nigerian Army to disclose the whereabouts of those they abducted and where their dead bodies are.

The Nigerian Army arrested more than 50 people at a place known as Abia State Amalgamated Tricycle Operators Association (ASATOA) office in Aba along Kent Street. They equally arrested 25 people at Afor-Une in Umungasi and St Michael's Road Aba near NUJ office. It was a wicked sight according to the passers-by and eyewitnesses. The Fulani Islamic solders who were on this mission boasted and shouted that they will soon start arresting ladies and mothers that wear mini skirt or any form of short dress in Aba. They are in effect enforcing Islamic Sharia law in 100% Judeo-Christian Aba. Is it now the duty of an army to enforce the dress code of women in a supposed secular democracy?

We wish to place the United States Ambassador to Nigeria on notice that mass arrests and cold blooded execution of Biafrans going on in Aba is unacceptable. We duly expect him to notify the State Department in Washington about this ugly development. We know the British High Commission in Nigeria will always support any Fulani murderous expansionism against Biafrans but it will be prudent for the diplomatic community to understand that we will not allow this Nigerian Army of occupation to get continue to get away with murder. When we start the defense of our land  nobody should blame us.

Mainstream media in Nigeria should equally note what the Nigerian Army is doing in Aba for future reference because we shall resist this silent genocide in our land with all our might and when we do, they should always remember the Nigerian Army first started it.

With all these going on in Aba, we call on men and women of goodwill across the world to prevail upon the  Nigerian government of Fulani in Aso Rock and their Nigerian Army to release the dead bodies of those they arrested and executed on Saturday in Aba without further delay because they committed no crime.

Nigeria: America condemns Nigerian Government, says it uses state agents for unlawful killings

March 18, 2019 || The Biafra Times

The United States has accused the Federal Government of Nigeria and it agents of committing “arbitrary and unlawful killings.”

US made this known in a recent report titled, “2018 Country Reports on Human Rights Practices” available on the Department of State website.

The report, which took a look at Nigeria’s human rights record alleged that the government had breached some human rights laws.

“Human rights issues included unlawful and arbitrary killings by both government and nonstate actors; forced disappearances by both government and nonstate actors; torture by both government and nonstate actors and prolonged arbitrary detention in life-threatening conditions particularly in government detention facilities; harsh and life-threatening prison conditions including civilian detentions in military facilities, often based on flimsy or no evidence; infringement on citizens’ privacy rights; criminal libel; substantial interference with the rights of peaceful assembly and freedom of association.

“There were several reports the government or its agents committed arbitrary and unlawful killings. The national police, army, and other security services used lethal and excessive force to disperse protesters and apprehend criminals and suspects and committed other extrajudicial killings. Authorities generally did not hold police, military, or other security force personnel accountable for the use of excessive or deadly force or for the deaths of persons in custody. State and federal panels of inquiry investigating suspicious deaths generally did not make their findings public.

“In August 2017 the acting president convened a civilian-led presidential investigative panel to review compliance of the armed forces with human rights obligations and rules of engagement, and the panel submitted its findings in February. As of November, no portions of the report had been made public.”

The report, however, added that the government took steps to “Investigate alleged abuses but fewer steps to prosecute officials who committed violations, whether in the security forces or elsewhere in the government. Impunity remained widespread at all levels of government. The government did not adequately investigate or prosecute most of the major outstanding allegations of human rights violations by the security forces or the majority of cases of police or military extortion or other abuse of power.”

BIAFRA: America Must Be Ready To Set A Good Example With Biafra

By Eluwa Chidiebere Chinazu | For Biafra Writers

May 3, 2018

The good people of Biafra (Christians in Nigeria), for decades, have been seeking for their independence from Nigeria. Ranging from the time of the Biafran Warlord, Gen. Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu till present time that the people of Biafra has gotten a new leader in the person of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), worldwide. Years have come and gone, yet the voices of freedom from Biafrans kept on echoing and resonating peacefully around the world. These voices have waited for a long time for justice to prevail and for them to be rewarded with freedom at least, for observing the world's laid down rules and procedure. But, they are still denied of their rights and justice in every facet of life.

There have been recorded countless number of massacres of the Biafran populace by the Nigerian government through its trigger-happy military. In spite of all the provocational measures the Nigerian government through her military has applied to see if the Biafran people would renounce their peaceful agitation, pick up arms and become violent, the Biafran people have remained resolute, principled and committed to the peaceful dictate of the internationally recognized ways of freedom fighting.

The deprived and embattled Biafrans have been massacred in their places of worship, during protest against government's high-handedness and persecution, in their farmlands, in marketplaces and so on before the Biafran war till date.

Lately, the Nigerian government has formulated another means of reducing their number without any trace. This is done by the Nigerian soldiers digging holes in their barracks and burying the bodies of slained Biafrans. These are men, women, and children that did nothing. Some were poured acid and other deadly biological substance by the murderous Nigerian army.

The reports released by Amnesty International are there to lend credence to this claim. Genuine journalists around the globe can equally attest to this unadulterated fact. In fact, the Biafra situation is a truth confronting the world and needs a world power like America and other countries that has the interest of justice at heart to come out boldly and do the needful which is setting the Biafrans free from the forceful British created Nigerian country.
The world should, as a matter of fact, declare the independence of the Biafran people so as to set example to other nations seeking for freedom on how it is done. The wage of obeying laid down procedures for freedom is eternal freedom. Let the world uphold the laws they made and not to be mere spectators of evil. America should note that what is right is right and that which is wrong is wrong. If the freedom of the Biafran people is due, give it to them.

The Biafrans have long shown peaceful disposition before and after 1967 post-independence agitation till date but they are being ignored and abandoned like fools. Does it mean that the world wants and cherish violence more than peace since those who are towing the line of violence are recognised and their demands considered than those who are been peaceful. The first war should be a lesson to everyone reading this. Biafrans are more than capable of crushing anyone who stands on their way without any shred of doubt. These killings will have to stop. Instead of us to be dying day by day, it is better we all die once and for all in war. Conduct a peaceful referendum for the Biafrans now to decide their future. Heaven will not fall.
