Nigerian journalists, more deadly than terrorists – Reason they should be proscribed by the people

By Eluwa Chidiebere Chinazu | For Biafra Writers

October 31, 2018

The terrorist groups in Nigeria have taken more innocent lives of citizens than the figures been reported by the Nigerian journalists. When ten (10) is stated in the ratio of one (1) and twenty (20) in the ratio of two (2), you begin to see the masses living in delusion and not knowing the actual danger ahead of them.

Just recently, after Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra made it clear through a radio broadcast that he never jumped bail as he was preparing for the court before the brutal and unannounced military invasion at his home, the Vanguard Newspaper came up with a headline “Why I Jumped Bail – Nnamdi Kanu” to confuse their readers.

In a cultured society, journalists represent the lamplight of the people. In dealing with their adversities, journalists become a guiding light of direction and strength. In Nigeria, no journalist had taken up the responsibility of digging deep into the profile of any corrupt politician. Instead, they go on board concocting all manner of good news in favour of these corrupt leaders in order to please them and on the line, see if the particular politician can grease their hands.

True journalism is an investigative art of thorough research into some oblique situations, coming out with a spellbound report and proffering a possible solution to an extent. This will help provide a limelight that the people will need to confront the evil bedeviling them. Instead, the Nigerian journalists are busy attacking the poor and pitiful masses.

These journalists shield the corrupt practices of politicians with their pen. Their pen is more terrorizing than the terrorists in Nigeria. These journalists intentionally abuse English words while embarking on their odyssey of propagating fallacies and defending corrupt practices in an armchair kind of journalism.

“Perceived, allegedly, clashed,” are some of the words they intentionally use in a very wrong context. When a real situation is referred to as perceived (unreal) and allegedly (unsure), you begin to understand the level of misconception they feed the people with. The word “clash” shouldn’t be used to describe a situation where the soldiers are shooting unarmed peaceful protesters. “Clash” can be used when there is a retaliatory approach from the protesters or when they violently engage with the security forces or operatives.

Some of them have turned out to be campaign managers of political parties – they are funded to castigate political opponents. This evil is orthodox with these Nigerian media outlets like; The Nation Newspaper, Sun Newspaper, Vanguard, The Punch, Daily Post, Sahara Reporters, Channels TV, Nigerian Television Authority, Radio Nigeria, Voice of Nigeria, Guardian, Daily Trust, This Day, Nigerian Tribune and so on.

When journalism is politicized, my candid suggestion for the people is to embrace another credible source for their daily supply of accurate new and/or information. Radio Biafra London and its associate media houses is there to help.

#BiafraFallenHeroes: We Remember Those Butchered On 2nd Dec. 2015 By Combined Team Of The Nigeria Security Forces

By Chukwuemeka Chimerue, Chief Editor, |The Biafra Times

May 25, 2018

MISS Anthonia Nkeiruka Ikeanyionwu, aged 20, was among the fallen heroines who met their untimely death during the picketing at Ojukwu gateway, Onitsha Head bridge on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB).

Tragedy struck when few weeks to the end of the year, bullets from the guns of some trigger-happy Nigerian soldiers, in league with other joint sister agencies who were deployed to quell the protest by the IPOB, suddenly flew in from God-knows-where and struck dead Miss Anthonia Nkeiruka Ikeanyionwu, a 200-level student of Educational Management and Policy, Federal College of Education (Technical), Umunze, Anambra State, leaving her in a pool of blood.

The picketing at the Head bridge by IPOB, was to drive home their demand for the unconditional release of the then illegally detained leader, Nnamdi Kanu who was languishing at Kuje prisons without any form of trial. Biafrans were simply picketing under moral and ideological precepts against the continued detention and incarceration of Mr Kanu.

The Biafra protesters had converged from various states in Biafra land and beyond to ask for his release only to be attacked at odd hours by the combined team of the Nigerian army, police, civil defence, navy and what have you.

Apart from Miss Ikeanyionwu, the incident led to the death of other innocent hawkers, a 'suya' merchant and passersby who got struck by the stray bullets while some surviving victims sustained varying degrees of injuries as a result of the violent, uncultured and unprofessional engagement of the security operatives.

Furthermore, evidences abound of unarmed and defenseless pro-Biafra protesters being gunned down in cold blood by Nigerian security agents during demonstrations.

It could be recalled that in respect to the cold murder of Miss Ikeanyionwu and others, a human rights group, The Kingdom Human Rights International, on behalf of IPOB and families of the deceased victims, filed a lawsuit before a Federal High Court in Abuja, demanding an aggregate sum of N8.5 billion in damages against the federal government over the killing and maiming of pro-Biafra protesters on October 20 and December 2, 2015 in parts of South East and South South geopolitical zones.

The suit, which was filed by counsels in the firm, Okere Kingdom Nnamdi, Paul Nwoko, and Richard Udozo, also joined the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Attorney General of the Federation, the National Assembly of Nigeria, and the Chief of Army Staff as respondents.

Others also joined in the suit were: the former Inspector General of Police, the Commissioners of Police in Imo, Anambra, Abia, Enugu, Ebonyi, Delta, Bayelsa and Rivers States commands, the Commandant General of Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps and the Director General of the Department of State Services..

Among other reliefs, the suit was seeking a declaration of the court as crime against humanity, unlawful, cruel, brutal, and wicked the killing of “unarmed, non-violent and peaceful protesters who are exercising their right to peaceful assembly, freedom of association and right to self-determination as guaranteed by sections 39 and 40 of the 1999 Constitution and Articles I, IV XIX of the African Charter on Human and Peoples Rights, by the combined team of the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Police Force and other security agencies.”

Though peacefully buried and laid to rest on December 8, 2015, Miss Anthonia Ikeanyionwu will always remain in our minds as part of those who sacrificed their lives for the irrevocable restoration of Biafra and that we shall always remember. She died that we might live to continue in the pursuit to regain our nationhood. And for that single reason, we will forever adore and cherish her even after death.

President Buhari And His Fellow Corrupt Northern Leaders: A Prey To Radio Nigeria Hausa Service Powered By IPOB

The Biafra Times | April 4, 2018

By Onoja Christian Obinna

For over some months now, it has been an awful nightmare for the northern political elites since the launching and subsequent broadcasting of "eye-opening" messages via Radio Nigeria Hausa Service: a platform piloted by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) which is now blasting out loud in the heart of the core northern Nigeria and  awakening the docile consciousness and memories of the northern youths and her entire populace.

Recall that in the middle of last year, the Nigerian government launched a cloned radio station widely known as Radio Biafra International(RBI) for the malicious purpose of distorting the untainted gospel of Biafra restoration as propagated in Radio Biafra London (RBL) and also to create nonexistent divisions in IPOB.

The above action then instigated the Indigenous People of Biafra under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to clone Nigeria's local radio station popularly known as Radio Nigeria which has also been a tool for the propagation of false information to the masses.

Biafra: Danjuma's speech vindicated Kanu; A reproach to Eastern leaders

The cloning of Radio Nigeria into Radio Nigeria Hausa Service by IPOB was geared towards enlightening the enslaved minds of the northern populace by their political rulers with truth and reality of what they have been subjected to over decades.

An Igbo adage says, "Onye akpana nwa Agu aka Å„ odu, ma odi ndu ma oñwuru añwu" which translates thus;  do not touch the tail of a lying Lion because you may not know whether it is sleeping or dead.

The arrest and illegal detention of the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, in late 2015, in the widest and vile imagination of the Buhari-led government was the best and sure way to finally bury the quest for Biafra divine restoration but little did they know that they only succeeded in touching the tail of a lying Lion waiting for an unfortunate prey to devour.

Just in months of launching the Radio Nigeria Hausa Service and her successful enlightenment to the hearts of the youths of the core northern part of Nigeria, it has started yielding an unmatched desired results since the inception of the Lugardian empire called Nigeria.

Most recently as a result of the acceptance of the truthful messages of freedom and liberation which Radio Nigeria Hausa Service is spewing in the northern part of Nigeria, the once most revered political elites have come under tremendous attack by the masses of their constituencies which Hon. Garba Hamman Julde of Bali/Gassol federal constituency in the lower legislative chamber has become the most recent victim according to Vanguard News [see link]. It was noted that the non-performing legislator's assault came quite after President Buhari escaped lynching by angry northern youths at the National Mosque, Abuja on Friday 30th March 2018, according to LeadersNG News See link: [President Buhari escaped lynching by angry northern youths at the National Mosque].

These bold and courageous acts of irate youths of the northern region of Nigeria, maiming and calling their rulers' unprintable names have justified the cruelty of Rtd. General Muhammadu Buhari's government against the Nigerian masses and also justified the messages of the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB in general.
Recall that the whereabout of Mr Kanu has remained unknown to the general public since after the military invasion of his father's house at Afara Ukwu Ibeku, Umuahia during the infamous and bloodletting Operation Python Dance which left many youths dead by the bullets of the violent Fulani-dominated Nigerian Army simply because of the hardened truth by Nnamdi Kanu which obviously the Nigeria government cannot tolerate.

Biafra: IPOB Launches Radio Nigeria Hausa Service

January 4, 2017

In keeping with our promise to facilitate  the creation of an unbiased informative platform to take the message of liberation to the down trodden and oppressed indigenous populations of Northern Nigeria, we the family members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide and it’s indomitable leadership, wish to happily announce the official launch of the much anticipated IPOB sponsored Radio Nigeria Hausa Service. The maiden daily broadcast will hit the airwaves on Saturday the 6th of January 2018 at 7PMNigerian time on Short Wave 15110 KHz 19 Meter Band.

The broadcast will have the widest coverage of any radio signal in Africa. It will be received all over West,  East and Southern Africa. Every Hausa speaking community in Africa will be able to receive it. In our opinion, we feel it has become imperative to educate the poor masses of Northern Nigeria. The ruling class cleverly enslaved and impoverished ethnic populations of the North by keeping vital information and knowledge away from them. This information deficit is what Radio Nigeria Hausa Service has come to remedy.

All the hitherto hidden history of the conquest of indigenous Hausa speaking populations of the North will be laid bare for the world to know. More importantly, enslaved minorities of Arewa North, brutally savaged by Fulani terrorist herdsmen, through this unbiased platform, will acquire the necessary education needed to liberate them from the suffocating stranglehold of the caliphate born to rule class.

What we hope to demonstrate through the launch of this liberation radio station is to prove beyond every conceivable doubt that IPOB is not a selfish movement concerned only about the well-being of Biafrans, but are also genuinely concerned about the plight of all oppressed people in Nigeria as stated by our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu on countless occasions. Regardless of ethnicity, religion or creed,  IPOB is pursuing an agenda of freedom for all. Our message is very simple, 2018 will be like no other in the history of Nigeria and will prove to be the year of liberation for those brave enough to confront the evil that Nigeria has become in the lives of millions of people.

Our quest for the total and adulterated liberation of Biafraland is unstoppable; this we shall demonstrate in the coming months. Those deluding themselves with the laughable and perverse notion that IPOB has been weakened because of the absence of our leader is in for an almighty shock. This move today is the beginning of a mass revolution against our oppressors that will spread outside the borders of Biafraland.

The coming of this new and revolutionary Radio Nigeria Hausa Service will expose centuries old dark secrets through education of the oppressed Hausa Fulani youths that IPOB and Biafra mean well for them contrary to the lies being peddled by their corrupt leadership. We will not fail to let all Northern youths understand that their political leaders, elders and fathers like those in Biafraland are the real oppressors that over the years have kept them in the dark through a carefully crafted and systematic regime of misinformation and propagation of falsehood. Every Hausa speaking Northerner is advised to tune into 15110 KHz every night at 7PM, starting from this Saturday 6 January 2018, to be educated in order to be liberated.
