The treacherous and  ignoble role of South East Governors, some self acclaimed Igbo political elite  and the Nnia Nwodo -led Ohanaeze Ndigbo in the proscription of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, and the subsequent invasion of the Afaraukwu Umuahia country home of our Leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, on September 14, 2017 are enough lesson for traitors. It's a constant reminder of the Igbo adage that "when you kill your hero in internal squabble, during external fight you must remember him ".

Three years down the line, we want to ask these traitors:  How have  they and Igbo land  fared in the hands of the Fulani? The reward of treachery is shame and eternal regret! By conniving with the enemies to get rid of IPOB that is the only defence line of Biafra nation, these saboteurs have opened our land for constant attack and humiliation by Fulani terrorists, herdsmen and bandits.

First, in their shameful bid to appease and impress their Northern masters for political reward, these traitors outlawed IPOB, a peaceful movement, and paved the way for its eventual proscription as a terrorist organisation. Ever since then, how have they protected or defended Biafra land against incessant Fulani unprovoked attacks? To their shame, Igbo land and the entire Biafra territory have been rendered vulnerable as the enemies on total annihilation and conquest mission have turned it into slaughter ground. 

It was their treachery that gave the Nigerian Army the effrontery to raid the home of Nnamdi Kanu on September 14, 2020 under the guise of Operation Python Dance. Their mission  was to kill him at all cost but God thwarted their evil plans. 

Not done with the recent massacre of 21 unarmed  Biafrans at Emene by the wicked Nigeria security agents, the Army,  DSS and Police, have now resorted to house to house abduction of IPOB members and other Biafra agitators. The question is :Where are the treacherous  Igbo governors, political elite and Ohanaeze that proscribed? 

The secret slaughtering of our people in every part of Biafra land since 2015 has continued unabated  till date. We are  aware of the on-going house -to- house search by security operatives  designed to pick up and eliminate Biafrans in Igweocha, Enugu, Imo, Aba, Asaba and Ebonyi States. This is yet another unprovoked attack  by Fulani terrorists in Nigeria police and army uniforms since the August 23rd 2020  barbaric  killing of Igbo youths  in Emene,  Enugu State. 

Just last week at Ohafia in Abia State,  they abducted Mazi Okewu Agwu from his home and many others including  Mazi Samuel Arua Eme, Mazi Kalu Iroha Amogu, Mazi David Agwu and 12 others whose names are yet to be established as  at the time of this press statement.

 Fulani terrorist groups at different locations in Biafraland have been using their kinsmen in Nigeria security formations across the country to unleash different attacks on innocent citizens of Biafra. 

This continued state - sponsored attacks and secret murder of IPOB members  and Biafrans in general must stop! Let it be  on record therefore, that anyone -  man or woman, civilian or security agent, etc , directly or remotely  involved in killing IPOB member has a debt to pay  no matter how long it takes. 

We are monitoring and taking records of every single attack on our people and how Nigeria government and her security agencies abduct IPOB members and use chemicals and acid to murder many of our people in their custody to conceal evidence.  We are telling Nigeria government and her security operatives as well as Biafra traitors  that IPOB cannot be decimated contrary to their erroneous calculations, and wishful thinking. 

In case they have forgotten, IPOB is a global movement divinely ordained to  liberate Biafra and other tribes caged in this British   contraption called Nigeria. Our resolve to restore Biafra freedom and independence is of God Almighty (Chukwu Okike Abiama)  in Heaven, a task that must be accomplished very soon.

We still call upon US Embassy in Abuja, British High Commission in Abuja, the  Canadian Embassy , as well as the Governments of Australia, Israel, France, Germany and Russia  to prevail on the Nigerian government and its security operatives to stop their ongoing silent genocide against Biafra agitators. The world should not play blind eye to this atrocity and crime against humanity. 

 They must also prevail on  Nigeria Government to release our people abducted illegally, and also release those dead bodies they took away during the barbaric  attack on peaceful and unarmed citizens of Biafra in Emene Enugu State. Nigeria government and her partners in crime must understand that the incessant killings of Biafrans and their murderous tendencies against the peaceful and innocent citizens of Biafra will soon break Nigeria into pieces without remedy.

The latest attempt by the Nigeria government to blackmail IPOB and project it  as a terrorist organisation cannot fly. Their ridiculous and shameful claim that a nonviolent and unarmed group is responsible for the purported attack on heavily armed security agents in South East is untenable. How can an unarmed man attack fully armed security personnel  ? Doesn't it sound funny? 

Ordinarily we wouldn't have bothered to dignify these detractors with a response as we have since known their stock in trade, but for the sake of the gullible ones and some innocent minds. We want to, once again state here that there is no iota of truth in this fictitious claim. 

We equally want to sound a note of warning to everybody especially those who derive joy in  castigating IPOB to desist forthwith or brace up for the consequences of their blackmail. 

 Besides, they should know that the era of propaganda and cheap blackmail  is gone. We are ahead of their game.   Frivolous and concocted allegations designed to disparage IPOB can no longer sell. The world now knows better. IPOB's nonviolent ideology about the Biafra project is well known and cannot change. 

It's an irony that IPOB, outlawed in Nigeria as a 'terrorist group', freely operates in over 100 countries of the world. We hold our rallies and activities without molestation or intimidation in these countries because they know we are not terrorists, and don't intend to be. All we need is Biafra, our own country which has been in existence before Britain created Nigeria and unequally yoked us with Fulani that value cows above human lives. Marriage isn't by force. We are tired of this bondage and want a referendum to determine our fate. Simple!

If Jesus is a Coward, then Nnamdi Kanu is Too

As captured in the book of Matthew 2: 13-15, the baby Jesus was exiled to Egypt when Herod went after his life. Jesus, Christianity teaches, was God made man for us. Being God in human flesh, he had all the powers to stop King Herod right in his track. Some people might argue that at the said time, he was still a baby. But then, he was still God, and God is never a baby. If we were to believe Christian teachings, then the baby Jesus was God dwelling in a baby’s body. Dwelling in baby’s flesh does not in any way make God a baby. Following the precipitates of the premises, therefore, Jesus, although a baby, had in fullness the attributes of God. By implication, therefore, he could have performed any wonder had he so desired.

Although it would be bias, for the sake of inclusive discourse, let us give in to the probable line of argument that would seek to excuse the exile on the account of Jesus being a baby at the said time and for that didn’t act on his own stead. As God or Son of God on a special mission on earth, he had hosts of angels at his defense. They could have swung into action in his defense. Even, it was an angel that brought the information about the danger and instructed that baby Jesus be taken to Egypt. The angel could have smitten Herod and his army as the angel in Moses’ time did smite the firstborn sons of Pharaoh and the Egyptians.

But rather than defend himself, or at least allow himself be defended by the host of angels at his command, he allowed himself to be taken into exile.  God the Father Himself looked the other away.

Being careful with the extremely religious who might take offense at the above retrospect and try to, in a way of helping God, twist the whole narrative, let us shift ground entirely from the Egypt exile to another biblical episode – when Jesus would have been killed by the Jewish mob. John 8:57-59:

{57} “You are not yet fifty years old,” the Jews said to him, “and you have seen Abraham?”

{58} “I tell you the truth,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am.”

{59} At this they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds.

Clearly, from the last verse, Jesus ran away from death. At this particular point in time, it must be noted, he had become an adult. So the feeble argument of him not acting on his own accord is, in this case, roundly defeated. He ran away from those seeking to kill him.

If he allowed himself to be killed at that particular point in time, his mission on earth would have been aborted. If he did anything rash in a bid to defend himself, his meekness would have been questioned, and come to that, his accusers would have more things to spring up against him. Understanding all these, he took the best option out – escape. Even though his mission on earth involves death, he still dodged death at this particular point in time, knowing the appointed time is not yet come. Do you judge that an act of cowardice? You’d need a brain surgery if you do.

On 14th September 2017, a detachment of soldier sophisticatedly equipped as though in war, and duly backed up by two air force jets, invaded Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s house, killing in the compound twenty-eight young men and injuring a lot more. By the miracle-working power of the Almighty God who sent him, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu escaped the attack.

Yes, Kanu could have fought back, but knowing that it is not yet time and that if he did he’d be handing his adversaries a reason to kill his followers all the more, he slipped away – just as Jesus did. It’s wisdom, not cowardice. And as the bible writers aptly put it, wisdom is profitable to direct.

For surviving the attack critics and evil wishers call him coward. This is a man that has broken several military cordons to push on the gospel of Biafra restoration. He is a coward because he didn’t die and leave his mission on earth unaccomplished? Well, if Nnamdi Kanu is a coward, then Jesus Christ whom you pretend to follow is a coward too. Balance it up dear.

Kanu’s whereabouts: IPOB drags Orji Uzor Kalu to court over prejudicial statements

During a recent visit to former Military Head of State, designed to garner support for the sinking All Progressive Congress (APC), Orji Uzor Kalu used the opportunity presented by the visit to announce to the world, that Our Client (Nnamdi Kanu) “is in London.”

It will be recalled that in 2017, similar fancy dummy was sold to the members of the public by Alhaji Orji Uzor Kalu, but when confronted with impeccable fact on the whereabouts of our Client (Nnamdi Kanu), he quickly denied the statement in apparent volte-face, and claimed that he was quoted out of context.

It is no longer news that Orji Uzor Kalu who recently jumped bail in a multiple case of humungous fraud he perpetrated while at the helms of affairs in Abia State re-echoed this uninformed view to attract cheap political relevance/gains, but in view of the troubling impact of such extra-judicial pronouncement on various court actions we filed against the military and Nigeria Government, to produce our Client; there becomes compelling need to join Orji Uzor Kalu in these pending suits to compel him to appear before the Federal High Court and give evidence on oath about what he know.

As we kick-start the process of dragging Alhaji  Orji Uzor Kalu before the court to throw light on this high powered State conspiracy that lead to murderous invasion of our Client’s home on the 14th day of September 2017, and the genocidal massacre of over 1000 (one thousand) members of IPOB in and around Afaraukwu kingdom during the dreaded operation python dance, we however wish to state that we are not unmindful of the firm resolve by the EFCC to effectively prosecute to its logical conclusion the proven case of brazen desecration of Abia State treasury/vault by Alhaji Kalu during his inglorious days in Abia State Government house.

But for the passionate appeal, and undertakings by Kalu’s lawyer to produce him in court at the next adjourned date, Orji-Uzo Kalu would have been cooling off in the prison custody by now, for jumping bail in the celebrated criminal charge hanging on his neck. This is a Man whose reason for running away from his criminal trial as explained in his letter for adjournment, was premised on a purported  medical appointment in Germany; a phantom surgery that only existed in Mr. Kalu’s imagination, all designed to subvert judicial process.

The present falsehood Orji Uzo Kalu is mischievously dishing out to the gullible is not unconnected to a well designed political strategy for atonement for his multiple sins. If the intendment of trading on this falsehood is to deter the most resolute Magu, he is getting it wrong in its entirety, as EFCC under Magu is strong in their conviction that every penny of Abia State loot still in the private vault of Orji Uzo Kalu must be recovered.

The naked truth is that Orji Uzor Kalu has lost all political value and relevance in his region and cannot even win a House of Assembly seat today if presented himself for an election.  APC Government should take note of this dwindling profile, and of particular interest is the fact that Orji Uzor Kalu is living in his past glory and cannot secure a single vote for them in the South East States come 2019.

The emerging facts has exposed the conspiratorial/ignoble role played by Orji Uzor Kalu in the proven case of State-sponsored terrorism that took place in our client’s home on the 14th day of September 2017. The murderous invasion of our Client’s home on the 14th day of September 2017, the genocidal massacre of over 50 defenseless/unarmed members of the indigenous people of Biafra therein; the abduction/kidnapping of our Client (Nnamdi Kanu) on this black day, by the rampaging Nigerian soldiers has been classified/labeled a crime against humanity by responsible foreign Governments and institutions, and roundly condemned by people of good conscience too.

May I use this medium to most solemnly appeal to Orji Uzor Kalu to assist the traumatized families of the victims of Operation Python Dance with useful information on the whereabouts of their loved ones, still missing till date. Specifics on the identities of the forest where their decomposed bodies can be found will be very useful. We are making this passionate appeal against the background of the emerging facts which suggest that Orji Uzor Kalu tacitly participated in this dreaded Operation Python Dance.

Going forward in this macabre dance, Orji Uzor Kalu should await further communication from court as he has declared himself party interested by virtue of his present unguarded utterances.

We are not oblivious of the desperation by the Nigerian Government to divert attention of the comity of Nations, and global human rights group, who are unanimous in their demands for the release of Nnamdi Kanu. Recent pronouncement by a certified agent of the State in the person of Orji Uzor Kalu is a veritable ploy deployed to change this narrative.

But let it be strongly noted that there is no amount of diversionary tactics employed by the State that can suppress the heart-wrenching realities of how our client was brazenly abducted in his home on the 14th day of September 2017, by the soldiers. The world is well informed about this crime against humanity.

Amnesty International reports which roundly indicted Nigerian soldiers for the genocidal massacre of unarmed and defenseless members of IPOB in the home of our Client on the 14th day of September 2017, and his abduction on this fateful day, would have been helpful to Orji Uzor Kanu if his intention was not to cause mischief.

A strong message has been sent out to the world vide the recent successful sit-at-home observed across the states of Nigeria, and world in general by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), in honor of thousands of their members massacred during the murderous invasion of our Client’s home and Afaraukwu Kingdom, by Nigerian Soldiers, and to reiterate their demand for unconditional release of their Leader (Nnamdi Kanu) who was abducted in his home by the Soldiers during this deadly Operation Python Dance.

We urge the general public to treat with greatest circumspect the present falsehood being peddled by Orji Uzor Kalu as he is merely acting a script written by the Federal Government to divert attention. Nnamdi Kanu is in the custody of the Military and must be produced in good condition.

Sit-at-home: Biafra Saboteurs fight-back IPOB’s resolve to institutionalize ‘Saboteurs’ Dayʼ

The Friday, September 14 sit-at-home protest has been concluded, presenting to Biafrans another institutionalized day that may run for ages. It was a day in which Biafrans chose to mourn their people killed by Nigerian terrorist armed forces as a result of saboteursʼ activities. In addition, it was a day to reflect on the activities of saboteurs in their midst, who from year to year have frustrated their every attempt at freedom and progress.

The inordinate activities of these saboteurs date as far back during the colonial era, when some fringe and inconsequential elements in the Biafra society offered themselves to be used in British attempt at indirect rule. They did this by playing the role of warrant chiefs, who are the harbingers of many of today’s so-called traditional rulers. Thousands of Biafrans were murdered, and others sold into slavery as a result of their connivance with the British authorities.

Due to the near-success of the abominable activities of those saboteurs then(many of which the Aba women revolt curbed), saboteurs have been emboldened in subsequent years. It was the activities of saboteurs like Ukpabi Asika, Emmanuel Ifeajuna, and several others that led to the successful execution of the Biafra genocide of 1967 – 1970, (dubiously dubbed “civil war” by British/Nigerian governments). Nothing less than 4 million Biafrans died in that genocide.

There have been other saboteur activities of lesser degrees since 1970 until last year. Specifically, September 14, 2017 was the year the Nigerian army of occupation laid siege on the home of leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu to kill everything in sight, including a dog. But ever since the military invasion, neither him nor his parents have been seen or heard anything from them. In the final analysis, it was John Nnia Nwodo and his atrocious Ohaneze Ndigbo, together with the five Southeast governors that instigated and invited the Nigerian army of occupation to perpetrate the senseless and unprovoked killings of thousands of Biafran youths under the guise of Operation Python Dance.
This particular act of sabotage became a very strong and influential reason, forcing Biafrans to contemplate taking drastic measures against saboteurs in their midst. Institutionalizing the Saboteurs’ Day came as the first step in that regard. It has become a day for identifying saboteurs, and of deciding what can be done about them.

As things stand at the moment, 2018 Saboteurs’ Day had come and gone, and it had a far-reaching impact in the Biafra restoration project and the Nigerian society as a whole. It recorded a great success. The Nigerian government and its elements were thrown off board in a huge panic, and doing everything within their power to subdue the true reportage by the media. The saboteurs themselves have been doing everything within their own powers to douse the effect. In fact, they (saboteurs) started working against the day more than a month ago. The first thing they did was to attempt sabotaging the relay stations transmitting Radio Biafra signals in Biafraland. They, however, succeeded in doing so in some areas, making it difficult for the information to percolate down to every Biafran.

On the whole, the day was a success, the compliance of residents of most states in the South-East and South-South regions was very much encouraging and Nigeria is reeling under the impact. By the time it comes up again next year, the shutdown will be unprecedented in history as Biafra Heroes’ Remembrance Day has come to be.

...Wants UN, EU, Israel, Britain, others to probe events leading to Kanu’s disappearance

ABUJA - Lawyer to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor has mourned victims of Operation Python Dance II who met their untimely death last year September at the hands of agents of the Nigerian army.

In a statement released to The Biafra Times correspondent on Friday tagged “Remembering The “Black Day” At Afara-Ukwu And The Attendant Unending Agony,” in commemoration to the senseless massacre of innocent Biafra agitators and the continued missing of the IPOB leader, the legal practitioner bemoaned the ungodly desecration of the Afaraukwu palace by soldiers and the false narratives employed by agents of the government in concealing the atrocious act perpetrated at Kanuʼs home.

He pleaded with members of the international community, the European Union, United Nations and other well-meaning international organizations to quickly intervene and trigger serious moves for the unravelling of the whereabouts of Kanu as well as all those killed during last year’s military invasion in Umuahia.

According to Ejiofor, “the freshness of the wound orchestrated by the military operation still remains fresh in his memory and I can perceive the blood of the hundreds of innocent civilians massacred by the Chief of Army Staff foot soldiers, at the behest of the Presidency.

“I can still hear the cries of these innocent blood; I can still feel the Agony; they are all very fresh in my mind.

“I can still hear the deafening sounds of the sporadic gunshots that brought down innocent/defenceless and unarmed men and women, in the home of the Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (Nnamdi Kanu); IPOB leader’s home and the entire Ancient Kingdom of Afaraukwu were desecrated by the ungodly monsters under a covert operation styled ‘Operation Python Dance’.

“I remember vividly the last words of my Client on this cursed day; it went thus: ‘Ejiofor my house is under siege,  Soldiers are forcing themselves in, shooting at everything on sight, you can hear the sound of the sporadic gunshots from the background; please alert the World on the development in my house; I can see it clearly from my room that they have gunned down many of my people downstairs, as they advance rapidly to my room; my life is no longer safe; tell the  British Government, USA and the World that Nigerian Government should be held responsible if anything happened to me’.

“The above, were the last few disheartening and emotional laden words dropped by my Client (Nnamdi Kanu) on the face of imminent danger; the danger that eventually took him away to a destination that has remained a mystery till today.

“The invading Soldiers massacred, butchered, killed every living thing on sight, and destroyed non-living objects in Nnamdi Kanu’s home before abducting him and his parents.

“Political narratives created by the demonic Government of the day to conceal the traces of this heart wrenching genocidal harvest of blood of innocent and defenceless members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), were neutralized by fate and destiny.

“Rampaging Soldiers largely consisting of Boko Haram converts that were integrated into the Military; massacred defenceless and unarmed civilian populace, in an operation that has being widely condemned by responsible foreign Governments, International Organizations and Comity of Nations; in an operation that offends all known extant Rules on engagement and international best practices; in an operation that reputable global Human Right Body, Amnesty International, hugely indicted the Nigerian Military for the genocidal massacre of over 1000 (One Thousand) civilian populace in Afaraukwu and in its environs.

“The recent discovery of about 58 (fifty-eight) decomposed bodies of members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), in various forests in and around Afaraukwu Kingdom is an attestation to the facts that this crime against humanity can never be swept under the carpet.

“Today, these fallen heroes and heroines are remembered across the Nation, it is indeed a time for sober reflection, it is a time for the United Nation, European Union, United States of America, United Kingdom, Israel, Russia and other responsible foreign Governments to beam their light on this Nation called Nigeria; particularly as they prepare for another round of genocide in the name of Operation Python Dance III.

“Right to self-determination is a universal right recognized under various notable Covenants and Instrument of the United Nations. Article 20(1) of the African Charter on Human and Peoples Right domesticated under our Law by the Ratification and Enforcement Act Cap 10 Laws of the Federation 1990 designated this Right to self-determination as inalienable, sacrosanct and unquestionable. This right can neither be suppressed nor taken away under any guise.

“We use this moment of sober reflection to once again call on responsible International Organizations, Foreign Governments, United Nations, European Union, British Government and the Comity of Nations, to immediately activate possible diplomatic channel that would ensure prompt probe of this crime against humanity, and accurate inventory of murderous military onslaught in the home of Nnamdi Kanu and his whereabouts till date. Today marked it exactly one year the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)-Nnamdi Kanu, was kidnapped/abducted in this bloody invasion of his home by the Nigeria Soldiers.

“It is our demand, that Nnamdi Kanu be immediately released by the Buratai led Military, wherever he is being kept. By virtue of my last communication with my client before he was whisked away, I am under no illusion as to his whereabouts, the soldiers that took him away on the 14th day of September 2017, should give account of where they kept him.

“Era of Hide and Seek Game is now Over! These chilling facts can no longer be suppressed!”

I can feel the freshness of the wound;
I can perceive the blood of the hundreds of innocent civilians massacred by the Chief of Army Staff foot soldiers, at the behest of the Presidency;
I can still hear the cries of these innocent bloods; I can still feel the Agony; they are all very fresh in my mind;
I can still hear the defeaning sounds of the sporadic gun shots that brought down innocent/defenceless and unarmed men and women, in the Home of the Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (Nnamdi Kanu); IPOB leader’s home and the entire Ancient Kingdom of Afaraukwu were desecrated by the ungodly monsters under a covert operation styled “Operation Python Dance”.

The above, were the last few disheartening and emotional laden words dropped by my Client (Nnamdi Kanu) on the face of imminent danger; the danger that eventually took him away to a destination that has remained a mystery till today.

The invading Soldiers massacred, butchered, killed every living things on sight, and destroyed non-living objects in Nnamdi Kanu’s home before abducting him and his parents.

Political narratives created by the demonic Government of the day to conceal the traces of this heart wrenching genocidal harvest of blood of innocent and defenceless members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), were neutralized by fate and destiny.

Rampaging Soldiers largely consisting of Boko Haram converts that were integrated into the Military; massacred defenceless and unarmed civilian populace, in an operation that has being widely condemned by responsible foreign Governments, International Organizations and Comity of Nations; in an operation that offends all known extant Rules on engagement and international best practices; in an operation that reputable global Human Right Body, Amnesty International, hugely indicted the Nigerian Military for the genocidal massacre of over 1000 (One Thousand) civilian populace in Afaraukwu and in its environs.

The recent discovery of about 58 (fifty eight) decomposed bodies of members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), in various forests in and around Afaraukwu Kingdom is an attestation to the facts that this crime against humanity can never be swept under the carpet.

Today, these fallen heroes and heroines are remembered across the Nation, it is indeed a time for sober reflection, it is a time for the United Nation, European Union, United States of America, United Kingdom, Israel, Russia and other responsible foreign Governments to beam their light on this Nation called Nigeria; particularly as they prepare for another round of genocide in the name of Operation Python Dance III.

Right to self determination is a universal right recognized under various notable Covenants and Instrument of the United Nations. Article 20(1) of the African Charter on Human and Peoples Right domesticated under our Law by the Ratification and Enforcement Act Cap 10 Laws of the Federation 1990 designated this Right to self determination as inalienable, sacrosanct and unquestionable. This right can neither be suppressed nor taken away under any guise.

We use this moment of sober reflection to once again call on responsible International Organizations, Foreign Governments, United Nations, European Union, British Government and the Comity of Nations, to immediately activate possible diplomatic channel that would ensure prompt probe of this crime against humanity, and accurate inventory of murderous military onslaught in the home of Nnamdi Kanu and his whereabouts till date. Today marked it exactly one year the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)-Nnamdi Kanu, was kidnapped/abducted in this bloody invasion of his home by the Nigeria Soldiers.

 It is our demand, that Nnamdi Kanu be immediately released by the Buratai led Military, wherever he is being kept. By virtue of my last communication with my client before he was whisked away, I am under no illusion as to his whereabouts, the soldiers that took him away on the 14th day of September 2017, should give account of where they kept him.

Biafra Saboteurs Day: When The Psychopaths And The Barbarians Came Calling

The 14th day of September 2018, will mark twelve calendar months, since the invasion of the palace of HRM Eze Israel Kanu, the traditional paramount ruler of Isiama Afara Ukwu, a community in Umuahia Southeast Nigeria. Aftermath of which many members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) were massacred in cold blood by Buratai led Fulani jihadi Nigeria army through Operation Python Dance 2 which occurred on September 14, 2017. Ever since then, neither Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) nor his parents, HRM Eze and Lolo Israel Kanu have been found or heard from ever since.

Many theories have been advanced, concerning the disappearance of these people, most of which point to the messengers of death that visited them - the Nigerian military in connivance with Nnia Nwodo, five Southeast governors and some Abuja based politicians.

On Friday, September 14, 2018, we shall observe "The General Strike" called for by the Indigenous People of Biafra to express our anger and at the same time respect the memory of those killed and tortured by Fulani jihadi Nigeria army. We shall sit at home to mourn, have a sober reflection and consider the moles among us, whom our oppressors and subjugators are using to highjack and hinder our struggle for freedom, emancipation and self-determination.

While the government of Nigeria, have made itself an enemy to civilization and rule of law, we as a people that have chosen to raise our voices high, before we are all wiped out from the face of the earth will continue to bring the plights of Biafrans to the notice of the world.

We implore the UN, EU, AU, USA, RUSSIA, ISRAEL and lovers of peace, equity, fairness, freedom and justice to stand up and counted, save our people from the trigger-happy Fulani jihadi soldiers, who have sworn to emasculate and destroy us. It's in the interest of world peace that the Indigenous people of Biafra, demand a PLEBISCITE to determine our future and that of our unborn children.

Biafra Saboteurs Day: Nigerian government in wild panic

The power of non-violence being unleashed on Nigeria by Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is currently hitting the Nigerian government between the eyes, and they are now in a wild panic. One of the indications of this was displayed by the Fulani police commissioner in Anambra State, Garba Umar, who showed lack of tact and understanding of the issues at hand.

He was responding to the IPOB call for a Biafra Nationwide Strike Day (which some also call sit-at-home), which will be coming up on Friday, September 14. It is to hold all over Biafraland (majorly in the places Nigeria brands as South-south, South-east and beyond). It means therefore that schools will stay closed; government offices will remain closed; marketers, bankers, transporters, commuters, and people of several other types of businesses, will stay at home and take a rest on that day. It also means that Biafrans, while sitting quietly at home, will reflect over a genocide agenda unleashed on by Muhammadu Buhari-led terrorist gang called Nigerian government. The Buhari gang has been executing its agenda under the guise of a military operation called Operation Python Dance.

It was under the so-called Operation Python Dance which started in 2016 that nothing less than 2000 unarmed Biafrans have been tortured and killed, dumped in mass graves with acid poured on them to hide their identity. So the major reason for the strike is simply, as made known by Uche Mefor, the Deputy Leader of IPOB: “We want to prove that nobody or mortal can quench, suffocate or diminish the collective will and the aspirations of the Biafran people. We shall demonstrate that legitimate power belongs to the Indigenous People of Biafra in so far as Biafraland is concerned. We intend to press home the fact that genocidal orgy of violence, tyranny, Islamisation, terrorism and hatred by the Fulani military machinery against Biafrans can no longer continue without consequences. 14th of September 2018 will mark the beginning of what is to come.”

In addition, he was not happy that: “To have the most hardworking race on earth residing in a country with the largest number of poor people is a demonic curse, an unmitigated insult and a disservice to our God-given creative talent” for which Biafrans must extricate themselves from.
He equally explained that while Biafrans would be reflecting on the atrocities of Fulani occupation Army in Biafraland, they would not forget the quislings that urged on. Part of the reflection will be what to do to such people who betrayed their own people for money and positions.

Among them are Nnia Nwodo and five governors of Abia, Anambra, Imo, Enugu, and Ebonyi states, being the ones that connived with the Fulani hegemony army to bring the mayhem to their own land. The governors are Okezie Ikpeazu, Willie Obiano, Rochas Okorocha, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, and Dave Umahi respectively. Others include a certain Emmanuel Chukwuma, who is among many clergymen and government agents and informants called traditional rulers, who collected bags of money at Nike Lake Hotel on the night of September 15 from the government to keep mute over the Python Dance atrocities.

There is nothing suggestive of violence in it all since there is no way resting in someone’s home can translate violence. But what did we hear? The pot-bellied Commissioner of Police said they were battle-ready. The chief Fulani occupation force in Anambra, Biafra, said they were ready to do battle with IPOB. He was telling Biafrans – the same people his Fulani ethnic stock were working so hard to subjugate under British government cover – that he would save them from themselves. How laughable, an agent of an occupying force – which have been mass-murdering the Biafrans – telling Biafrans that he would protect them from Biafrans.
Without doubt, his response shows panic and lack of gumption to understand the issues at stake, which a natural malady of a great number of Nigeria’s poorly-trained officials starting from their President, Buhari.

Biafra: Saboteurs Day - A Day Bad History Was Made

"Saboteur's Day," is a day in Biafra land, when the people meditate on the wound a brother inflicted on a fellow brother. A day of sober reflection on the mass death of their sons, daughters, fathers and mothers who died as a result of the mind-boggling betrayal from their own rulers. A day the few prodigal sons of the land parading themselves as leaders, for the love of money and power, opened door for the enemy to come in and slaughter their own people. A day these few sons of the land gathered in one voice and called their people "criminals." A day they showed that they love power, money than their people even if it requires to massacre their people on course. That day 14th September of every year is called "Sabo Day."

As this day is registered in history, the people shall never forget the names of these their sons that brought death upon them. Their names shall remain in the blacklist of their people. Welcome to Sabo Day, the day bad history was made.  Nnia Nwodo, Dave Umahi, Okezie Ikpezie, Ike Ekweremadu, Bishop Chukwuma and other political jobbers in Abuja, must be remembered for their sabotage. These names shall be chased into oblivion.

September 14, 2018, will be a "GENERAL STRIKE" day all over Biafra land. On that day, Biafrans sits at their various homes to reflect on that horrible event that took the lives of their people. The spiritual controls the physical, and as Biafrans have stood up to respect their dead ones, so also will their dead stand up to fight for their sake.

Biafrans, let us join hands together to make Friday, September 14, 2018, a memorable day in our lives. No other people will do it for us, only we will do it for ourselves. Biafrans from the coastal and riverine areas should stand up to the reality. At the end, this remarkable day shall become a lesson for generations of Biafrans to come. This is “Sabo Day.”

Biafra: The discovery of the decomposing bodies of IPOB members, the undoing of Ohaneze Ndigbo and the South-East governors

Yet another discovery of the extrajudicial killing of Biafrans was uncovered on 13th August 2018, the Ohaneze Ndigbo and the Southeastern governors can no longer be exonerated in the crime they committed between 11-14th September 2017 by proscribing and endorsing Operation Python Dance 2.                                                                           

 Their roles in the invitation of the Fulani-dominated Nigeria army of oppression and occupation against their own people which resulted in many deaths and misery of defenseless Biafran youths, both heaven and earth will bear us witness that we shall never forgive nor forget this dastardly act and evil that these elders of shame and their counterparts in the government houses has committed against us. It is only in a matter of time until they all shall be paid back with their own coin.

 After one year since the launch of the infamous army operation codenamed 'Operation Python Dance 2, in the peaceful South-East region, scores of decomposed bodies of the innocent and defenseless family members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) were discovered by IPOB intelligence in a thick forest in Ukwa West area of Abia State.

We are by this article putting it straight to Ohaneze Ndigbo and as well as to the Southeastern governors that the game is officially over!

The game of keeping Nigeria one at all cost while the poor and defenseless citizens keep dying like flies every day is never accepted by Biafrans because Nigeria have expired since 2014.                                                                             

We the Biafra masses shall no longer co-exist with these evil men and women who are parading themselves at the corridors of power as Igbo leaders.

Saboteurs shall know no peace until justice is done for the slain, at the appropriate time, they will be paid back with their own coin. There's no way you would murder the innocent and defenseless indigenous population and think that there will be no consequences for your actions.

It is obviously clear that for quite a long time now, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) who has been non-violent and law-abiding in their approach to self-determination has been on the receiving end, suffering every kind of persecution, extrajudicial killings and marginalization at the hands of the oppressive Nigerian state, despite the fact that the world and the international community has been severally notified about their plight and suffering in Nigeria through various means necessary, yet the world chose to keep looking the other way leaving us to our fate, despite this, we never retaliated nor avenged the many deaths of our people for once but that doesn't make us cowards.

To say the least, there is a limit to what a human being can take, especially when he/she is being pushed beyond the extreme, there comes a time that he will be left with no other option than to struggle to stay alive or else, he/she will be pushed over the cliff to perish!

Moreover, for continuing showing themselves insensitive to the plight and suffering of the Biafran people in Nigeria, the African Union (AU), the International Criminal Court (ICC), and the United Nations (UN) is hereby called upon once again to look into this matter and act accordingly in order to bring a lasting solution to these incessant killing of Biafrans and numerous other indigenous population across the country by giving a listening ear to the cry and demands of the masses who has in recent times been calling for a referendum to be conducted in order to decide where they want to be, whether to stay or leave Nigeria.

But until then, the Ohaneze Ndigbo and all the governors and political class of the eastern region must provide us with an answer to the questions thrown at them about the whereabouts of our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who disappeared after the attack on his home as well as provide answers to what happened to our brothers and sisters who were murdered in cold blood during last year's Operation Python Dance 2 which includes these ones that were killed and dumped in the forest in Abia State.

Ohaneze Ndigbo and the governors of the eastern region must make haste to clear the air or risk it all because we have already ran out of patience.

Another Day, Another Horror; Bodies of IPOB Members Gruesomely Murdered by Nigeria Security Forces Discovered in Forest

Earlier this month, another horrible and despicable scene was discovered by locals; decomposing bodies of IPOB members, gruesomely murdered and dumped into forest by Nigeria security forces, during their ill-fated, evil-motivated and infamous Operation Python Dance, initiated by the Nigeria army, in collaboration with their partners in crime; IgboSocioCultural Organisation,Ohaneze, 5 southeast governors, some Abuja politicians of Biafran extraction.

These horrendous crimes were committed in Afara Ukwu, Umuahia Abia State south-east Nigeria, as they raided the home of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, whose whereabouts is still a mystery; only the Nigeria military can tell. These decomposing bodies were discovered in a thick forest in Obiawon village in Ogwe Autonomous community in Asa, Ukwa West LGA, Abia State Nigeria.

  We beseech and implore the local and international human rights organizations and bodies, Amnesty International, United Nations, ICC, British government, European Union, Russia and African Union to as a matter of utmost urgency investigate these atrocities visited upon our people, by Nigeria government who have sworn to wipe us out as an indigenous people.

 Neither Biafrans nor IPOB is at war with Nigeria, our collective "crime" was raising our voices and exercising our rights under United Nations Charter on rights of oppressed indigenous peoples on self-determination and freedom.

  Left for the Nigeria government, this horrendous crimes will be swept under the carpet as other extrajudicial killings, that have gone on under this Buhari led government, perpetrators and their collaborators must be held accountable for these heinous crimes against humanity.

Biafra: IPOB Declares September 14, a Day of General Strike, Mourning and Resistance across all Parts of Biafraland

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have declared Friday, September 14, 2018, a day of general strike, mourning and resistance across all parts of Biafraland covering South-East, South-South geo-political zones and other areas where Biafrans resides to mourn those killed in the struggle for the restoration of Biafra Independence since 2015.

In a statement by Comrade Emma Powerful, IPOB Media and Publicity Secretary made available to The Biafra Times, he said that "it would be a protest to register their anger regarding men and women killed at Afaraukwu in Umuahia during Operation Python Dance II on September 14, last year, as well as those killed in Ngwa, Aba, Igweocha (Portharcourt) and buried in unmarked mass graves as a result of the military invasion of Biafraland by the Nigerian Army".

 He stated that the inhabitants of the two geopolitical zones and other conscientious Biafrans living in other parts of the country and the world over were required to stay indoors on that day and away from work or other daily business activities throughout the day.

The message read in parts "that all businesses, offices, markets, schools and road transportation will be shut down for 24 hours from midnight of the 13th of September".

According to Emma Powerful, IPOB further gave reasons for the exercise: “As a result of ongoing campaign of ethnic and religious persecution, genocide and humiliation of the people of Biafra in general and Igbo people in particular by this Buhari regime, culminating in the abominable incarceration of innocent mothers, grandmothers and great-grandmothers in Owerri prisons, we the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) do hereby declare 14 September 2018 a day of general strike, mourning and resistance across Biafraland.”

“Inhabitants of South East/South South and all conscientious Biafrans living in other parts of Nigeria and the world are required to stay indoors away from work or daily business activities throughout the day of the 14th of September 2018 to register our anger and protest regarding the men and women killed at Afaraukwu in Umuahia during

Operation Python Dance II on September 14 last year, those killed in Ngwa, Aba, Igweocha (Port Harcourt) and buried in unmarked mass graves as a result of unprovoked military invasion of Biafraland by the Nigerian Army.

“We shall also remember all those killed in the struggle for the restoration of Biafra independence since August 2015 when the army shot dead Mr Okafor in Onitsha on a peaceful march from Nkpor to Onitsha main town. Their sacrifice will neither be forgotten nor will it be in vain, because come what may, this generation of IPOB must and will restore Biafra.”

The statement continued: “The sacrilegious and disgraceful humiliation of Igbo women, some of them great grand-mothers, ranks as one of the most abominable act of desecration ever visited upon the land of Biafra in recorded history. It will mark the defining event that completed the shame and humiliation of the Igbo race.”

“The cowardice and impotency of Igbo socio-political and cultural leadership in the face of such humiliation by a single Fulani police officer in Owerri is confirmation, if one is needed, that South East and South South regions are conquered territories and vassal colonies of the Sokoto caliphate.

“Nationwide general strike observed as a sit-at-home across Biafraland on the 14th of September 2018, is the only way we Biafrans can honour our fallen brethren and legitimately remind our northern oppressors and their collaborators in our midst that enough is enough!

“We do not want another Operation Python Dance or another mass murder of Biafra agitators and humiliation of our mothers in our land. Biafraland we state categorically must emerge a free nation under God, whether our enemies like it or not.

“What happened at Afaraukwu; the desecration of house of a traditional ruler, the slaughter of innocent men and women: the wholesale massacre along the Ngwa segment of Enugu-Igweocha (Port Harcourt) Expressway, countless number of mass graves across Biafraland, is repulsive, inhumane, barbaric and worthy of total condemnation by all right-thinking people. We wait the day United Nations and other world bodies will give the issue of Biafra the same level of prominence it is giving Rohingya”.

Slain Bodies Of IPOB Members Discovered In Obiawom Forest

We the global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) commend our intelligence unit over the horrific discovery of yet more dead bodies of slain Biafrans in Obiawom village of Ogwe Autonomous Community in Asa Ukwa West LGA of Abia State. This gruesome find will once again drive home the horrors of Operation Python Dance and why all those that participated in its instigation and execution such as Ohaneze Ndigbo, South East governors and selected Igbo elders and politicians must not go unpunished.

If anything, this cold-blooded execution and unceremonious dumping of dead bodies in the forest by Fulani soldiers in Obiawom village in Ukwa West under the control of Abia State governor Okezie Ikpeazu is ample justification for the recent decision of IPOB to disengage from any further talks with Ohaneze Ndigbo and South East governors until all issues surrounding the genocidal Operation Python Dance is cleared up.

Had these number of murder victims been discovered in any Muslim country, region or part of the world, the International Criminal Court (ICC),  United Nations, Britain, USA and world media will be up in arms demanding explanation and holding the perpetrators accountable. Because these events are happening to Biafrans in Nigeria; where an Islamic government, along with her security operatives staffed by Fulani officers are aiding and protecting Hausa Fulani herdsmen and their kinsmen in the army from the consequences of the worst form of ethnically motivated genocide presently in Africa, the world remains deaf to the cries of IPOB. The site of these decomposed bodies should be designated as an international crime scene and promptly investigated.

Should the United Nations, ICC, USA and European Union fail to act on this gruesome discovery of mass grave of Biafrans in Ukwa Ngwa Abia State, we would conclude that there exists a credible bias and conspiracy to exterminate and Islamise Biafra by the pro-Islamic international community.

As we draw near to the anniversary of the murderous invasion of Afaraukwu on the 14th of September 2017, we once again call on Igbo governors, the global Christian community, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and other reputable and relevant human rights organisations around the world, to prevail upon the International Criminal Court, the Nigeria Government and her security operatives to release the remaining dead bodies of Biafrans in their custody since last year. An international panel of enquiry must be constituted as a matter of urgency to investigate the atrocities of this Buhari regime against innocent populations in Nigeria and Biafra in particular.

Biafra: IPOB revokes ceasefire, suspends further meeting with Ohanaeze, S-East govs over insincerity to implement demands

Following the inability of Ohaneze Ndigbo and South East governors to de-proscribe the activities of IPOB in line with the stated objectives of the Prof. Ben Nwabueze convened peace initiative, the leadership of IPOB hereby suspend, with immediate effect, any future contact or participation in meetings involving Ohaneze Ndigbo leadership or South East governors. The ceasefire announced as a gesture of goodwill after the first Enugu meeting is now officially revoked with no hope of future reinstatement.

Mindful of posterity and our deep respect for Prof. Nwabueze, who personally pleaded that we suspend all negative comments and verbal attacks against Ohaneze Ndigbo. We duly obliged by announcing a binding cessation of all hostilities against corrupt Igbo leaders despite the fact they knowingly and actively connived with Fulani overlords to kill IPOB activists, invade the home of our leader with the intention to kill him out of petty jealousy over his popularity and acceptance by the people. That our leader and his parents are still missing is a direct consequence of the connivance of Igbo leaders with their Fulani masters to destroy the agitation for Biafra.

IPOB towed this path of peaceful dialogue because of our deep respect for our more honourable and truthful elders whose wise counsel compelled us to give peace a chance. What has transpired over the past two months, culminating in the failed meeting of the 8th of August 2018 in Enugu, have clearly demonstrated the unwillingness of Ohaneze Ndigbo and South East governors to breakaway from their slavish master-servant relationship with the Fulani caliphate. These unrepentant collaborators and instigators of Operation Python Dance abused the privilege IPOB ceasefire afforded them by seeking to turn the meeting into an endorsement of an Igbo candidate for PDP vice presidential slot in the coming 2019 elections.

Under such circumstance, we felt the meeting had lost its purpose hence the need for us to pull out of any talks which consequently brought the entire process to an end.

As a result of these meetings, any lingering doubt that Ohaneze Ndigbo, South East governors and some Abuja based political jobbers instigated Operation Python Dance, has been dispelled by their inability to lift the proscription they themselves imposed on IPOB. Fulani governors of the north never proscribed murderous Boko Haram or Fulani terror herdsmen but Igbo governors and politicians hastily proscribed the only movement, IPOB, fighting for the masses because they want to continue enjoying Abuja patronage. As the masses continue to wallow in abject poverty and oppression, these Igbo sell-out leaders, their families and cronies will continue to live large courtesy of their all powerful Fulani masters who can make or break them.

Having dutifully attended three meetings in the past 7 weeks with nothing to show for it, these collaborators and traitors have become more emboldened in their subterfuge to the extent of boasting to observers sent by Aso Rock to the Enugu meeting of the 8th of August that IPOB has been thoroughly weakened and reduced to begging to be de-proscribed.

Sadly, some of the attendees of the shameful emergency Igbo elders meeting convened to endorse Operation Python Dance at Nike Lake Resort a day after the deadly invasion of Afaraukwu by Nigerian soldiers were also present at the Enugu meeting. In due course, we shall hold them accountable for their actions. They lacked the courage then to issue a statement condemning Operation Python Dance and they still do so till today because they were all in the know or actively involved in the planning of the massacre of their own people because of money.

It has dawned on the worldwide family of IPOB that this well-intended peaceful dialogue, from inception, was a fraud, a charade and political subterfuge designed to get IPOB to participate in 2019 elections and nothing more. Ohaneze Ndigbo and their allies in Abuja saw it as an opportunity to prove to their northern Fulani controllers that they are still in charge of the South East. Nothing could be further from the truth. IPOB is the people and the people is IPOB.
This game plan of seeking to subdue IPOB through a series of endless and meaningless meetings in the name of forging a common front or lasting peace is dead on arrival. IPOB will no longer participate in any meeting or dialogue involving Ohaneze Ndigbo. They mistook our magnanimity for weakness. That, unfortunately, is the greatest mistake they would ever make in their lives.

This bunch will go down as the worst set of leaders in the history of the Igbo race. For 48 years they have been actively involved in trading the future of their children and unborn generations for peanuts. Under their stewardship, nothing worthwhile has been accomplished for the masses since after the war. They are ravenous, predatory and devoid of conscience. We gave them an opportunity to redeem themselves but they failed woefully. This generation of IPOB and history shall judge them very harshly.

Henceforth, anybody seeking to deal with IPOB must contact our world headquarters in Germany where their enquiry will be directed to the appropriate quarters. We would no longer recognise any third party involvement. This will ensure we avoid a repeat of what just transpired with this failed dialogue with Ohaneze Ndigbo.

We wish to thank Prof. Nwabueze immensely for all his efforts and to convey our deep appreciation, regard and respect for him. We also urge him to hold tenaciously to his publicly stated stance that de-proscription of IPOB and the whereabouts of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is a prerequisite for any peaceful settlement. IPOB hereby reinstate it's avowed commitment to conduct a referendum as soon as possible.

ENUGU - The President-General of the umbrella Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief John Nnia Nwodo, has stated that contrary to beliefs in some quarters, he has no hand nor input in the Operation Python Dance II conducted by the Nigerian Army last year September which claimed many innocent lives of members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

Speaking on Friday August 3, 2018 in Enugu, at a symposium on “Quest for self-determination by ethnic nationalities; way forward for peaceful coexistence in Nigeria,” organized by Movement of Biafrans In Nigeria, MOBIN and co-hosted by the convener, South East Elders Forum, Dr. Dozie Ikedife, Nwodo who condemned the military exercise said he was assured by the military along with South-East governors that they were only coming to rid the region of sundry criminal activities to ensure safety of lives and properties of citizens.

He, however, expressed surprise when the military invaded Umuahia, the hometown of the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu and slaughtered some IPOB youths, alleging that they created a paramilitary outfit known as Biafra Security Service, BSS and that they confiscated a gun belonging to a police officer.

According to the Ohanaeze President, when he inquired from the Army about the bloodshed and violence that erupted in Abia state, they swiftly accused IPOB of creating BSS whom they said were conducting “guard of honour” on uniforms every morning at the entrance leading to Kanu’s house which attracted the attention of the duo of Abia State Commissioner of Police and the Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG, who passes the road every morning when going to work.

“When they (Army) wanted to commence the second operation, we asked them why they’re coming back again to carry out the same military operation and they said it’s just a military exercise.

“But serious problem erupted in Umuahia at the peak of that second military operation and we called them for questioning and they told us, in fact the Abia state governor was there, that before they ventured into Umuahia, IPOB has what they call Biafra Security Service; that they wear uniforms and conduct guards of honour every morning at the entrance road leading to Nnamdi Kanu’s house which is also the same road the commissioner of police in the state and AIG passes while going to work each morning.

“This was exactly what they told me. I’ve never been there to find out the truth about what they said and I haven’t seen them myself,” Nwodo stated.

He said the information he received noted that one establishing “a paramilitary service that wears uniform without due legislation of the Abia state House of Assembly is illegal under them and they begged them to stop but they refused.

“The worst scenario was when they told me that a police officer who was on duty and returning from the house of AIG and passing through that road and the Biafran youths stationed at that axis snatched away his gun but they told us the gun was later handed back to them.

“If you listened to some of the things I said in the past, you’ll find where I have alluded to some of these representations because the Attorney General of the Federation went to court and said that IPOB is a terrorist organisation.”

The Igbo leader further explain how he approached Transparency International and called for the setting up of an independent judicial commission of inquiry to investigate the killings of some IPOB members at Rivers state during IPOB-Trump solidarity rally.

“When we were sworn in as the executives of Ohanaeze, in the first speech I made, I said that they (IPOB) are my children and that their struggle is my struggle as well.

“I told (Lt. Gen. Tukur) Buratai(COAS) to establish a judicial commission of inquiry into the killings that happened at Portharcourt. I sent members of my executives to Portharcourt. They went to all the mortuaries and graveyards where dead members of IPOB were buried and they took pictures of them for the records.

“And I told the Army chief, let’s exhume all these dead bodies and also bring those from the mortuary to serve as evidence but they vehemently refused. So, I went to Transparency International. They conducted an independent inquiry and released a report that 191 people were executed without trial.

“As soon as that report was issued, the chief of army staff, COAS, then decided to set up an inquiry peopled by retired and serving officers of the Armed Forces, none of whom were Igbos. I challenged him and said Buratai, you cannot be a judge in your own matter.

“I told him that the rules of natural justice demands that you must listen to both sides of the story. In this case, they must listen to IPOB and those who fired the shot as well so we can know who is saying the truth. I stated that the Army will not after killing us, go ahead to constitute a panel of inquiry by themselves. That means they’re judges in their own case. No other Igbo man apart from me said this directly to the COAS,” he added.

Nwodo also faulted the procedures adopted by the federal government in the proscription and designation of IPOB as a terrorist organisation, saying the evidence they provided in court lacks merit and not enough to establish IPOB as terrorists.

He said: “Buratai went to court under our law; the government does not require an open court to consider a group, a terrorist organisation. What he only needs to do is to go to the office of the judge; there’s what lawyers call an interlocutory action, and tender an evidence in front of the judge saying that this person or group is a terrorist organisation and if after going through the evidence, the judge can now make a decision.

“But Buratai went to a judge in Abuja and deposed exactly what they earlier told me and the governors that IPOB youths are using force to snatch guns from security officials and that IPOB is a terrorist group. And I came out in the newspapers and told Buratai that the evidence he tendered in court may be enough to establish a criminal act but not enough to classify IPOB as a terrorist organisation. Nobody else said it apart from me.

“I also went to the British Institute of International Affairs popularly known as Chatham House and told the whole world that Fulani herdsmen is the 4th most terrorist organisation in the world as categorized by Global Terrorist Index and I gave reference to the source of this discovery, yet they have not classified Fulani herdsmen as terrorists but my children (IPOB) are called terrorists.

“So my brothers, those we’re fighting against has the determination to contain us. That is why if conventional warfare fails, you have to try guerrilla warfare. Therefore, if the style we employ in this fight fails, let’s try diplomatic style. Let’s learn how to apply our senses in whatever we do.”
...As Book launch, “What The Ibos Want,” takes centre stage at the event

One of the major highlights of the event at Enugu on Friday was the launching and presentation of a book written by Barr. Emeka Emekesiri, entitled: “What The Ibos Want.”

The book which was presented in 360 pages and 17 chapters was reviewed at the symposium by an Igbo elite and Professor from the University of Portharcourt, Mark Anikpo.

According to Prof. Anikpo, “the main purpose of the book is an effort to put record and also bring to light for the new generation of Ndigbo and for all and sundry, not only the almost eclipsed barbarism of the Nigerian state but also the treachery and double standards of the United Nations in its reluctance or even refusal to bring to justice, the Nigerian perpetrators of genocide against Biafra.”

He noted that the author of the book, painstakingly documented the Biafran case in a most graphic and convincing detail, adding that the facts are verifiable and the sources culled from libraries and museums all over the world, especially in the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
