Biafra: ‘We haven’t come to eat yam but to demand the whereabouts of our leader’ – IPOB youths tell Ohanaeze in South Africa

...If you don’t do what is right today, don’t expect us to become good leaders tomorrow – Nat. Secretary, IPOB SA

By Chukwuemeka Chimerue, Chief Editor | The Biafra Times

October 12, 2018

JOHANNESBURG— MEMBERS of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, in South Africa, led by their national coordinator, Mr. Isaac Chidera Samuel on October 6, 2018, stormed an event for the celebration of the annual new yam festival organised by the pan-Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, to demand the whereabouts of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

The event which was ongoing at the Observatory Sports Club in Johannesburg was interrupted by the irate IPOB youths who told the congregants that they have not come to join them in the celebration of the new yam festival but to register their displeasure as well as to convey their message to their President-General, Chief John Nnia Nwodo.

Although some members of Ohanaeze did all within their powers to stop the IPOB members from gaining access into the entrance of the event, the youths clad on Biafra-coloured uniforms and armed with a large banner emblazoned, ‘A Call for Referendum Is Not A Call For War,’ and ‘Free Nnamdi Kanu’, eventually made their way through the entrance, into the event.

They seized the opportunity to make case over the unending and incessant killings and enforced disappearances of Biafra agitators in Nigeria, urging them to support IPOB’s call for referendum.

Addressing the audience after observing a minute silence for those that died in the struggle for independence, one of the leaders of IPOB in South Africa, Mr Chukwudi Obiukwu(SADC Rep) said although IPOB is a peaceful and non-violent movement, she wouldn’t forgive those standing on her way to attain freedom for her people.

According to him, “You all gathered here can testify that IPOB are peaceful and non-violent freedom fighters but we don’t forgive our enemies and those who have sworn to sabotage our efforts in the pursuit for freedom.

“It’s sad and unfortunate that Nnia Nwodo is not here but we have one or two words for the person he sent to represent him. Nnia Nwodo and co cannot be at home while our people are been killed and decimated and nobody would condemn such act. It isn’t done anywhere.

“We haven’t come to eat yam but to demand for the whereabouts of our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and also to express our dissatisfaction over the deafening silence of Ohanaeze Ndigbo and South East leaders in the enforced disappearance of our leader, his parents, including the killing of our brothers and sisters during the military raid at his residence in Afara-Ukwu, Umuahia, Abia state.”

While praying for the downfall of saboteurs whom have collected money to fight against Biafra’s independence as well as those who has hands or contributed in one way or the other in the disappearance of the IPOB leader, the youths cautioned the Ohanaeze scribes not to hesitate in serving their nation, Biafra.

Also in his remarks, the National Secretary of IPOB in the country, Emmanuel Isimmiri while cautioning the Ohanaeze Ndigbo elders at the event, stated they have no intention of hijacking their programme but that if they should fold their hands and watch while things grew worse without doing the right thing, then they should expect less of them when they eventually occupy same positions in the future.

“We’re using this privilege to talk to the indigenous people of South Africa and our elders who are here in my presence. Looking at the age bracket here, I see fathers. There’s a saying in my dialect which says that an elder doesn’t stay at home and watch a domestic goat die while giving birth.

“The ethnic cleansing going on in that central state of West Africa, precisely in Biafraland are you all not seeing it?  I don’t want to talk about the unlawful arrest, I don’t want to talk about all the inhumane treatments orchestrated against Biafrans everyday but my banner here says that self-determination is not a crime and we’re using this privilege to talk to our elders.

“If you call yourself an elder, then you need to act like an elder. We’re not here to hijack the festival, it’s part of our culture but we’re looking into you as a role model because tomorrow, we will sit on that seat you’re occupying today. But if you don’t do what is right now, don’t expect us to be good leaders tomorrow.

“Lastly, we’re calling for a referendum. As we all know that there’s a wrong notion circulating on social media that referendum means war. I want to use this platform to remind you that referendum is not a call for war, it is a call for total freedom of every Biafran born and yet to be born.

“When we talk about referendum, we talk about total freedom of every Biafran and inside that total freedom, we talk about equality. Equality is not limited to gender, it’s not limited to the issue we’re facing there in Nigeria called ‘ethnic minority,’ neither is it limited to the issue of language, diversity and multicultural nature of that contraption,” he posited.

Proscription of Ohanaeze, S’East Govs, a vote of no confidence by Biafrans

By Akubumma Princewill | For Biafra Writers

September 26, 2018

In many democratic societies across the globe, government functionaries, representatives and leaders of the people are usually expected to put the affairs of the people they are representing at the forefront before anything else. The general interest of the people is always considered while other motives are just secondary.

And in a federal system of government such as the one practiced in Nigeria (quote and unquote), there are expected to be some representatives of various federating units to whom the people unanimously gave their mandates to be represented at the centre for the fair distribution of whatever resources there is for the people they are representing for the sole purpose of upholding the federal character which centres on equity, fairness, justice and inclusiveness.

But unfortunately, these leaders from southeastern Nigeria has for so long abandoned the people they are meant to represent and only kept focusing on themselves, their families and cronies, leaving their people to keep wallowing in abject rejection, destitution and reckless abandon because they have sold their souls to the devil by signing the fraud documents through which they have boxed themselves into a dangerous corner of perpetual slavery and servitude to the northern caliphates who believes and constantly confesses that they are born to rule while the rest of the federating (conquered) units in Nigeria are born to be ruled.

READ ALSO: We Proscribed Ohanaeze-Ndigbo for working against the interest of the masses - IPOB

These dangerous unrepentant steps taken by these southeast leaders has rendered them totally insignificant and irrelevant in the political scene of the country such that before they are allowed to take up any political post in the Nigerian polity, they must first sought for the blessings and/or endorsement of the Sokoto caliphate which includes swearing an allegiance, obligation and an oath of commitment to always abide with the directions of the northern slave masters even when such directions are detrimental to the well-being of the people they are representing, they won’t care provided they are allowed to uphold their political positions which is of utmost importance to them.

To say the least, the feudal Lords from the northern caliphates has in countless occasions sounded it clear that they owned Nigeria, the resources therein and  the sole right to chose who occupies the presidential seat which they have constantly used as bait to enforce the franchises of the southeastern people by always promising our so-called southern leaders with the elusive presidential post which should have been a clear action expected to come from the national constitution and not from some rogues who parades themselves as the owners of the federation.

These impunity perpetrated by these northern caliphates, wholeheartedly and cowardly accepted by our so-called southeastern leaders has forced the younger generation to ask certain questions such as; ‘where is the federal character principle?’ ‘Is it the duty of some people from any unit of the federation to decide and select who occupies the presidency irrespective of what the constitution says?’

These are the questions that the younger generation from southeastern Nigeria have been asking their leaders without providing answers to any of them for a long time.

As if that was not enough, these same selfish southeastern leaders have constantly resorted to betraying and sabotaging every good move taken by their people to liberate themselves. They connive with the northern caliphate and their monstrous Fulani-dominated Army and other security operatives to unleash unprovoked terror, killings et al, against the people they claim to represent. They instigate and give nod to the coldblooded massacre of our youths for merely raising their voices to ask questions through peaceful protests across the region against the bad representation and gross marginalization they have been subjected to for a very long time.

Suffice me to say that in other regions in Nigeria, where many radical youths has in recent times committed atrocities capable of disintegrating the country overnight, yet, their northern and western leaders pardoned and accommodated them and never came out to openly condemn their youths unlike their southeastern counterparts who even went to the extreme of demanding for the heads of their youths to be brought on a plate.

This level of treachery, betrayal and sabotage which has not been recorded amongst any leaders of a people in any part of the world except for these crop of crooked and unscrupulous individuals parading themselves as leaders and representatives of the people are among the numerous reasons behind the vote of no confidence passed on them by the younger generation who has determined to take their destinies in their own hands and free themselves from perpetual slavery in order to return justice, dignity and decency to their society and above all, to restore their nation which was forcibly annexed from their ancestors.

We Proscribed Ohanaeze-Ndigbo for working against the interest of the masses - IPOB

IPOB Press Release | Published by The Biafra Times

September 25, 2018

  • Mind-blowing account of how Ohanaeze facilitated the destruction of Igboland

Ohanaeze Ndigbo has left a destructive trail of blood, betrayal and sabotage of wider Igbo interest, to the extent that nobody in Nigeria has regard for the honour and dignity of a once proud race. Only those born with a deep sense of betrayal, Lagos-Abuja domiciled traitors and fellow collaborators will have respect for Ohaneze as presently constituted. To date, we are yet to come across one person who can confidently point to one tangible achievement of Ohanaeze Ndigbo that benefited the entire people. The truth is, there is none. They work for their pockets and the well-being of their children and relatives and nothing more.

Some of the sins of Ohanaeze Ndigbo are too numerous, heinous and abominable to place in the public domain. But for our purposes, we shall present a historic and contemporary overview of a string of mind-blowing blunders and outstanding treachery by Ohaneze Ndigbo over the years, for the world to see and judge accordingly.

That IPOB was perversely tagged a terrorist group in the eyes of the laws of Nigeria, when Fulani terrorist herdsmen are free to roam and kill at will, is the exclusive making of Ohaneze Ndigbo and South East governors. Not many people are aware that Nnia Nwodo and Gov. Dave Umahi personally pleaded with Fulani caliphate to invade the east because Nnamdi Kanu refused to call off the boycott of Anambra governorship election in November 2017. Ohaneze Ndigbo and South East governors consider IPOB a threat to their livelihood and was determined to accept countless cold-blooded executions of innocent IPOB members in order to prove to their Fulani masters they are good Nigerians.

For those in doubt as to the true motive behind the formation of Ohanaeze Ndigbo by the caliphate must bear in mind that Ohaneze has fought and have continued to fight anybody with the interest of the masses of the east at heart. Ohaneze, in keeping with the template drawn up by the caliphate, once fought Dr. Azikiwe into irrelevance. They reduced him from Zik of Africa to mere Owelle of Onitsha, even when Zik realised the errors of his ways during the war and wanted to industrialise the east in the Second Republic.

This same Ohaneze Ndigbo repeatedly conspired against Ojukwu and crowned his humiliation by denying him a seat on Abacha's constituent assembly. They corrupted Ralph Uwazuruike by pressuring him into accepting money in exchange for extinguishing the hope of Biafra. Today he's more interested in acquiring landed properties than pursuing the emancipation of Biafra.

Dr Dozie Ikedife it must be stated for record purposes is a dedicated Arewa servant. He was Ohaneze Ndigbo President General when Uwazuruike accepted money from the federal government to destroy the dreams of Biafra restoration. We must not forget that Uwazuruike was handed over to Dr. Ikedife to guide him out of his quest for Biafra. Today Uwazuruike is another corrupt spent force hosting his Hausa Fulani friends like Al Mustapha, Ango Abdullahi and Arewa Youths in his Owerri mansion on ways to build a better Nigeria.

The betrayal of Nnamdi Kanu and his family by Ohaneze Ndigbo is a well-established pattern by this group of saboteurs, to kill any popularly accepted leader dedicated to setting the masses free. The interest of Ohanaeze Ndigbo lies in destroying anybody or group that dares challenge the hegemony of their masters the Fulani caliphate. Nnamdi Kanu refused every mouth-watering offer to abandon Biafra agitation. He refused to succumb to their blackmail at Enugu Government House meeting with South East governors. When Nnamdi Kanu refused to accept money, oil wells and choice properties around the world in exchange for Biafra, he was marked for death.

They couldn't destroy Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB on their own because they know he is too popular with the masses and they South East governors alongside Ohaneze Ndigbo lack the clout to move against him. Instead, they turned to their caliphate masters to send in their battle group of the Nigerian Army to kill him in his home.

IPOB Intelligence intercepted correspondence between Nnia Nwodo and Commander of 82 Army Division Enugu pleading with him to launch a military attack against Nnamdi Kanu’s compound. Conversations between Gov. Dave Umahi and Lawal Daura the former SSS (DSS) Director General also confirm that all South East governors were in support of the assassination of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

In Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu's press statements in the aftermath of the deadly invasion of Isiama Afaraukwu and massacre of IPOB family members, it will be observed that he justified the killing of Nnamdi Kanu by repeatedly saying that what happened to Kanu and his parents prevented the death of millions of Igbo people living in the north. He also alluded to this in his BBC Igbo interview on the matter.

The agenda of Ohanaeze Ndigbo from inception is to stop the re-emergence of Biafra or the emancipation of the people of the east. Some older people will remember the antics of prominent Ohaneze Ndigbo chieftains like one Chief M.N. Ugochukwu of Ugo Foam & Ugo Motors fame, the Abilikete of Umunze in Aguata. He held series of Ohaneze Ndigbo meetings on behalf of Arewa caliphate to dutifully subvert Igbo collective interest.

How about Eze Onuegwu Nwoke from Owerri, who will board Arthur Eze's Triax Airline to see Abacha in Abuja to literally bow down before him as their god. The act of mortgaging Igbo interest at the altar of self-advancement is as old as Ohaneze Ndigbo, it didn't start today.

There was another popular Ohaneze Ndigbo chieftain, Igwe Emeka Nnaji of Amagunze popularly known as Ankoto, a saboteur during the war. He was a prime mover and prominent member of Ohanaeze Ndigbo. He boldly granted regular interviews to NTA, stating openly that Ohaneze Ndigbo is loyal to Sanni Abacha. A whole race loyal to one Arewa oppressor.

This same Ohaneze Ndigbo saw to it that Ojukwu was not elected to the constituent assembly because of their hatred for Biafra. They did not want the issue of Biafra or self-determination to be raised.

Ohaneze Ndigbo sabotaged Dr. Chuba Okadigbo out of Senate presidency. Anybody in doubt should ask Chief Joe Nwaorgu, the immediate past secretary of Ohanaeze.

All the extrajudicial killings of unarmed IPOB agitators by the Fulani dominated Nigerian Army was aided and abated by Ohaneze Ndigbo and South East governors. Operation Python Dance is the brainchild of Ohaneze Ndigbo and South East governors because of their selfish desire to destroy IPOB to please their northern masters.

Nnia Nwodo made Ndigbo a laughing stock the day he knelt down in his bedroom in his Ukehe country home to plead with Bola Ahmed Tinubu to give him the ACN ticket to contest Enugu State gubernatorial election during the burial of his wife.

Historic crimes and injustices against Igbo speaking people of Biafra were never addressed by Ohaneze Ndigbo. For instance, in 1939 some Anioma communities in present day Delta and Edo states were carved out of the core Igbo heartland despite protests from Anioma kings then to the British colonial authorities. Ohaneze has done nothing ever since.

Parts of Ezza community of present Ebonyi state was carved into Benue State and instead of Dave Umahi and Ohaneze Ndigbo to fight for the reintegration of these people into the wider Igbo speaking community, they chose instead to preside over an ever-shrinking Igbo land mass because they lack the courage, unlike Nnamdi Kanu, to confront the caliphate on these issues.

In 1976, oil-rich Obigbo LGA in Aba division of old Imo state was ceded to Rivers state. Obigbo is Ndoki clan and has over 50 oil wells, they are pure Igbo people separated from their Azummili kins by the Imo river. Ohaneze did nothing to reverse this or fully integrate the people into the wider Igbo family.

Another criminal impotence of Ohaneze Ndigbo can be found in yet another caliphate gerrymandering when Ohugbu, an oil-rich Ndoki community was ceded to Akwa Ibom state. Ohugbu is one of the highest onshore gas and oil producing areas.

Egbema community a core Igbo community was balkanized into three towns with the highest oil producing town ceded to River State from old Imo State. Today we have the same Egbema people in Delta, Rivers and Imo, all answering Igbo names and speaking Igbo language but some are South South/Niger Delta whereas the other is South East/Igbo. What an abomination!

Ndoni was carved out of Ahoda and given to Rivers state. Ndoni and Ogbaru are the same people. Ogbaru is in Anambra with some of their kinsmen in Delta State. The myth that Igbo people are landlocked is the making of Ohanaeze Ndigbo under instructions from the caliphate masters.

We know these oil producing areas of Igbo land was the highest oil producing areas pre 1966 and that Hausa/Fulani led military government balkanised and partitioned our land in order to render Igbo land insignificant in the oil producing equation of Nigeria.

The envious Hausa/Fulani caliphate government backed up by the ill-fated British concocted Willinks Report, acted contemptuously- aided and abated by Ohaneze Ndigbo, in other to gain control of the oil fields in Igbo towns and villages. They started sharing our oil wells to themselves hence, today they have dominating control of our land and resources.

Ohaneze Ndigbo and PANDEF may be content with picking crumbs off the Fulani table, IPOB will never demean the God-given pride of the east nor condescend to such lows.

Under the treacherous watch of successive Ohaneze Ndigbo administrations, Ala-Igbo was restricted to five landlocked states when in actual fact Igboland started in Igbanke in Edo State and ends in the Atlantic Ocean. There is nobody from Opobo Rivers State that doesn't speak Igbo language.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo allowed Arewa caliphate propaganda to destroy the cultural affinity between Ndi-Igbo, Ibibio and Annang people of Akwa Ibom State who are blood relatives of Igbo people. Ekpe and Okonko, the two highest male fraternities in most parts of Igboland are actually Efik and Annang cultures. But today Cross River and Akwa Ibom is part of the lugubriously named South-South with Edo State inclusive. There is no cultural, linguistic or social connection between Efiks and Bini people but we are deceived into thinking they are one people different from the Igbo.

These are some of the unpardonable crimes of Ohanaeze Ndigbo and reason why they remain proscribed. Anybody, who for monetary gains or whatever materialistic considerations, stand in defence of Ohaneze Ndigbo will go down with them. Ohaneze Ndigbo have outlived their usefulness.

Biafra: IPOB proscribes Ohanaeze, South East governors, bans group activities in the East"

September 19, 2018

IPOB Press Statement |Published on The Biafra Times

By virtue of the overwhelming compliance with the 14th of September 2018 Sit-At-Home order issued by IPOB and the mandate conferred therein as the authentic representative of the people of the east, we the Indigenous People of Biafra do hereby declare the proscription of Ohanaeze Ndigbo and all other gatherings of saboteurs and collaborators operating within Biafra. In keeping with the spirit of this declaration, we warn that anybody or group of persons working with Nnia Nwodo led Ohaneze Ndigbo or South East Governors Forum is doing so at their own risk. These two groups (Ohaneze & South East governors) do not represent the people of the east and lack the popular mandate to do so. Events of September 14, is confirmation that our people have rejected their politics of acquiescence, servitude and slavery.

Ohaneze Ndigbo was formed in 1976 to destabilize the progressive established order under the leadership of Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe in the run up to 1979 democratic rule. The few surviving founding members of Ohanaeze will attest to this undisputed fact. To weaken the post war cohesion that still existed among the people of the east, Fulani caliphate gathered their Igbo agents together to destroy the east from within. With what Ohaneze has become in recent times, there is little doubt that our oppressors succeeded in holding us down through their agents in Ohaneze and governor's lodges.

Contrary to public perception, Ohaneze Ndigbo is not a creation of Igbo people but rather is an assemblage of high profile traitors during the war, with the exception of Dr. Akanu Ibiam. It was a group engineered by Arewa north to provide the east with false leadership. From inception, Ohaneze Ndigbo has been answerable to Arewa North not to the people of the east. No Ohaneze Ndigbo leader can emerge without the blessing of the northern ruling class.

It was this same Ohaneze Ndigbo that took money from their Northern masters to allow three Igbo speaking local governments from Ebonyi to be carved into Benue State. The same Ohaneze Sat and did nothing as Obigbo, Egbema and the rest of Igbo speaking people were gerrymandered into Rivers State and Delta State to be categorised as South South. They abandoned Igboakiri (Igbanke) to Ogbemudia and his Northern masters, that made an Igbo territory part of Edo State. They betrayed Anioma people by repeatedly refusing to fight for their absorption into the core Igbo family. Today we have families in Egbema divided along state lines. Some people in the same family, with the same surname find themselves in two distinct geo-political zones. Some are South East the other is Niger Delta. This is an unpardonable crime by Ohaneze Ndigbo against the land and the people.

With over 90 per cent compliance to the IPOB sit-at-home order, including Enugu and Ebonyi State as evidenced by photos obtained from the server of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja, it has been confirmed beyond every reasonable doubt that all parts of Biafraland complied with the order. By so doing, Biafrans conferred a historic and unprecedented mandate on IPOB to pilot the affairs of the Eastern Region.

All efforts by South East governors to use financial inducement and media misinformation to fool the people into thinking some parts of Biafra did not comply with the order has been laid bare by secret photos of empty Enugu streets taken by NAN which they conspiratorially failed to publish. The existence of these NAN photos confirms what we have always known, that South East governors decided to wage media war to discredit a successful exercise once it dawned on them that IPOB command the loyalty and mandate of the people.

Nothing under sun shall remain concealed forever. News Agency of Nigeria must be compelled to publish all pictures it took of northern Biafran territories on the morning of September 14, 2018. If compliance was not 100% as they claim, why have they refused to officially publish their own pictures? If they have any shred of credibility left, News Agency of Nigeria should state if any of the pictures published alongside this press release is not part of the many pictures they took of empty Enugu streets on the mid-morning of September 14?

In as much as the the people of the east is concerned, Ohaneze Ndigbo no longer exist, but only on paper. Henceforth any public gathering organised by them will be disrupted. The era of traitors and collaborators presiding over the affairs of the people of the east has come to an end.

Biafra Saboteurs Day: Nigerian government in wild panic

By Dave O. UmahI | For Biafra Writers

September 4, 2018

The power of non-violence being unleashed on Nigeria by Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is currently hitting the Nigerian government between the eyes, and they are now in a wild panic. One of the indications of this was displayed by the Fulani police commissioner in Anambra State, Garba Umar, who showed lack of tact and understanding of the issues at hand.

He was responding to the IPOB call for a Biafra Nationwide Strike Day (which some also call sit-at-home), which will be coming up on Friday, September 14. It is to hold all over Biafraland (majorly in the places Nigeria brands as South-south, South-east and beyond). It means therefore that schools will stay closed; government offices will remain closed; marketers, bankers, transporters, commuters, and people of several other types of businesses, will stay at home and take a rest on that day. It also means that Biafrans, while sitting quietly at home, will reflect over a genocide agenda unleashed on by Muhammadu Buhari-led terrorist gang called Nigerian government. The Buhari gang has been executing its agenda under the guise of a military operation called Operation Python Dance.

It was under the so-called Operation Python Dance which started in 2016 that nothing less than 2000 unarmed Biafrans have been tortured and killed, dumped in mass graves with acid poured on them to hide their identity. So the major reason for the strike is simply, as made known by Uche Mefor, the Deputy Leader of IPOB: “We want to prove that nobody or mortal can quench, suffocate or diminish the collective will and the aspirations of the Biafran people. We shall demonstrate that legitimate power belongs to the Indigenous People of Biafra in so far as Biafraland is concerned. We intend to press home the fact that genocidal orgy of violence, tyranny, Islamisation, terrorism and hatred by the Fulani military machinery against Biafrans can no longer continue without consequences. 14th of September 2018 will mark the beginning of what is to come.”

READ ALSO: Why We Declare September 14, 2018, A Day For General Strike - IPOB

In addition, he was not happy that: “To have the most hardworking race on earth residing in a country with the largest number of poor people is a demonic curse, an unmitigated insult and a disservice to our God-given creative talent” for which Biafrans must extricate themselves from.
He equally explained that while Biafrans would be reflecting on the atrocities of Fulani occupation Army in Biafraland, they would not forget the quislings that urged on. Part of the reflection will be what to do to such people who betrayed their own people for money and positions.

Among them are Nnia Nwodo and five governors of Abia, Anambra, Imo, Enugu, and Ebonyi states, being the ones that connived with the Fulani hegemony army to bring the mayhem to their own land. The governors are Okezie Ikpeazu, Willie Obiano, Rochas Okorocha, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, and Dave Umahi respectively. Others include a certain Emmanuel Chukwuma, who is among many clergymen and government agents and informants called traditional rulers, who collected bags of money at Nike Lake Hotel on the night of September 15 from the government to keep mute over the Python Dance atrocities.

READ ALSO: Biafra Saboteurs Day: Nwodo, the prime saboteur to be remembered

There is nothing suggestive of violence in it all since there is no way resting in someone’s home can translate violence. But what did we hear? The pot-bellied Commissioner of Police said they were battle-ready. The chief Fulani occupation force in Anambra, Biafra, said they were ready to do battle with IPOB. He was telling Biafrans – the same people his Fulani ethnic stock were working so hard to subjugate under British government cover – that he would save them from themselves. How laughable, an agent of an occupying force – which have been mass-murdering the Biafrans – telling Biafrans that he would protect them from Biafrans.
Without doubt, his response shows panic and lack of gumption to understand the issues at stake, which a natural malady of a great number of Nigeria’s poorly-trained officials starting from their President, Buhari.

Another Day, Another Horror; Bodies of IPOB Members Gruesomely Murdered by Nigeria Security Forces Discovered in Forest

By Chuba Ebenezer | Biafra Writers

August 29, 2018

Earlier this month, another horrible and despicable scene was discovered by locals; decomposing bodies of IPOB members, gruesomely murdered and dumped into forest by Nigeria security forces, during their ill-fated, evil-motivated and infamous Operation Python Dance, initiated by the Nigeria army, in collaboration with their partners in crime; IgboSocioCultural Organisation,Ohaneze, 5 southeast governors, some Abuja politicians of Biafran extraction.

These horrendous crimes were committed in Afara Ukwu, Umuahia Abia State south-east Nigeria, as they raided the home of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, whose whereabouts is still a mystery; only the Nigeria military can tell. These decomposing bodies were discovered in a thick forest in Obiawon village in Ogwe Autonomous community in Asa, Ukwa West LGA, Abia State Nigeria.

We beseech and implore the local and international human rights organizations and bodies, Amnesty International, United Nations, ICC, British government, European Union, Russia and African Union to as a matter of utmost urgency investigate these atrocities visited upon our people, by Nigeria government who have sworn to wipe us out as an indigenous people.

Neither Biafrans nor IPOB is at war with Nigeria, our collective "crime" was raising our voices and exercising our rights under United Nations Charter on rights of oppressed indigenous peoples on self-determination and freedom.

Left for the Nigeria government, this horrendous crimes will be swept under the carpet as other extrajudicial killings, that have gone on under this Buhari led government, perpetrators and their collaborators must be held accountable for these heinous crimes against humanity.

Biafra Strike Day: We Shall Sit At Home on September 14 - IPOB Declare

August 28, 2018 |published on the  Biafra Times

IPOB Press Statement

As a result of ongoing campaign of ethnic and religious persecution, genocide and humiliation of the people of Biafra in general and Igbo people in particular by this Buhari regime, culminating in the abominable incarceration of innocent mothers, grand mothers and great grand mothers in Owerri prisons, we the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) do hereby declare 14 September 2018 a day of general strike, mourning and resistance across Biafraland.

Inhabitants of South East/South South and all conscientious Biafrans living in other parts of Nigeria and the world are required to stay indoors away from work or daily business activities throughout the day of the 14th of September 2018 to register our anger and protest regarding the men and women killed at Afaraukwu in Umuahia during Operation Python Dance II on September 14 last year,  those killed in Ngwa, Aba, Igweocha (Port Harcourt) and buried in unmarked mass graves as a result of unprovoked military invasion of Biafraland by the Nigerian Army.

We shall also remember all those killed in the struggle for the restoration of Biafra independence since August 2015 when the army shot dead Mr Okafor in Onitsha on a peaceful march from Nkpor to Onitsha main town. Their sacrifice will neither be forgotten nor will it be in vain, because come what may, this generation of IPOB must and will restore Biafra.

The sacrilegious and disgraceful humiliation of Igbo women, some of them great grand-mothers, ranks as one of the most abominable act of desecration ever visited upon the land of Biafra in recorded history. It will mark the defining event that completed the shame and humiliation of the Igbo race. The cowardice and impotency of Igbo socio-political and cultural leadership in the face of such humiliation by a single Fulani police officer in Owerri is confirmation, if one is needed, that South East and South South regions are conquered territories and vassal colonies of the Sokoto caliphate.

Nationwide general strike observed as a sit-at-home across Biafraland on the 14th of September 2018, is the only way we Biafrans can honour our fallen brethren and legitimately remind our northern oppressors and their collaborators in our midst that enough is enough! We do not want another Operation Python Dance or another  mass murder of Biafra agitators and humiliation of our mothers in our land.  Biafraland we state categorically, must emerge a free nation under God, whether our enemies like it or not.

What happened at Afaraukwu; the desecration of house of a traditional ruler, the slaughter of innocent men and women: the wholesale massacre along the Ngwa segment of Enugu-Igweocha (Port Harcourt) Expresswa, countless number of mass graves across Biafraland, is repulsive, inhumane, barbaric and worthy of total condemnation by all right thinking people. We await the day United Nations and other world bodies will give the issue of Biafra the same level of prominence it is giving Rhohingya.

All businesses, offices, markets, schools and road transportation will be shut down for 24 hours from midnight of the 13th of September. There will be no human or vehicular movement across Biafraland. People are expected to stay at home to pray for the soul of the brave and reflect upon the bondage our land is under. Any person or persons seen outside on the 14th of September 2018 will be classed as an enemy of the people because only collaborators in Ohaneze and South East Governors Forum that instigated Operation Python Dance and encouraged the army to kill unarmed innocent IPOB agitators will dare challenge this directive.

As well as honouring our heroes that died in Afaraukwu a year ago and other places in Biafraland, 14 September 2018 shall expose who the saboteurs undermining the freedom of Biafra truly are.

IPOB reacts to Nwodo's hypocritical press statement, commend Amnesty International and others

IPOB PRESS RELEASE | Published By The Biafra Times

August 26, 2018

The attempt by Nnia Nwodo to endear himself to the wider public through his latest hypocritical press statement has failed woefully. If the aim is to milk the goodwill of our people still basking in the euphoria of the release of our mothers who were illegally abducted, shamefully detained and humiliated by the Nigerian state, he has failed woefully.

Where was Nwodo the day our mothers and grandmothers were humiliating corralled into a stinking prison by a Fulani Police Commissioner working on the orders of his fellow northerner Rochas Okorocha? Why didn't he personally issue a statement? He didn't because he was gloating that our mothers will suffer in detention as a way of getting back at IPOB. Those he spoke to told IPOB his exact words.

His belated statement, issued earlier today, is too little too late and will not absolve him of his role in the ongoing persecution, murder and proscription of IPOB. When well-meaning people all over the world, including Oby Ezekwesili, a certain northern governor and presidential aspirant, were busy condemning the atrocious detention of innocent Igbo mothers, Nwodo and all Igbo governors maintained their usual slavish silence for fear of offending their northern masters. Ike Ekweremadu never uttered a word either. But his chieftaincy title is Ikeoha, which means the warrior of the people.

We the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Worldwide reaffirm our previous stance that the silence of South East governors, Ohaneze leadership, Igbo politicians and front-line traditional rulers, in the face of such overwhelming humiliation of an entire race, is confirmation that Biafraland in general and Igboland, in particular, is a conquered and occupied territory, superintended by a cowardly class of traitors answerable to Fulani caliphate.

For Nwodo's information and that of Rochas Okorocha with his Fulani led Imo State Police Command, the arrest of our mothers is illegal. Therefore, the idea of sounding magnanimous in press statements is downright foolish. IPOB always win every court case against Nigeria, hence no single conviction has ever been secured against us till date and they never will.

When you cheer your oppressors, as Nnia Nwodo, Igbo governors and politicians seem to enjoy doing anytime IPOB family members are detained illegally, you forfeit every authority to speak on behalf of the people because IPOB is the people and people is IPOB.

Nnia Nwodo of Ohaneze Ndigbo and their fellow collaborators never uttered a word when our mothers were abducted, tortured, humiliated and spat on by Fulani controlled Nigerian Police. They are now glibly mouthing their usual nonsense to deceive the gullible and shore up their battered image.

We remind Nnia Nwodo that we have not forgotten the massacre at Afaraukwu on 14 September 2017. We also wish to remind him that it was Igbo governors that proscribed IPOB first, not Aso Rock, as he would like to have the people believe. Was it not the same Nnia Nwodo that stood on the steps of Enugu Government House alongside Igbo governors to proscribe IPOB at the same time Buratai's Fulani soldiers were busy killing innocent youths inside Nnamdi Kanu's compound?

Terrorist tag against IPOB came after Igbo governors and Ohaneze Ndigbo first proscribed the movement.  It was Nnia Nwodo, Archbishop Emmanuel Chukwuma and Chief Guy Ikokwu a Lagos based informant and errand boy,  that shared money donated by Igbo governors to corrupt Igbo traditional rulers at Nike Lake Resort Enugu on or around the 15th of September 2017 to support the proscription of IPOB. Sadly, Igbo traditional rulers led by Eze Eberechi Dick, who is a personal friend of Buhari's cousin Mamman Daura, presided over this process of shame.

We are not unaware that it was Nnia Nwodo that personally appealed to the commander of 82 Division Enugu and Abba Kiyarri the real power behind Buhari-Jubril to launch Operation Python Dance. They think they are smart and we IPOB uninformed. It is in the open that same Nnia Nwodo and co are responsible for the impending Operation Python Dance 3.

It is instructive that Nnia Nwodo admitted that northern governors protected treasonous Arewa Youths. Compare that to the treatment of IPOB by Igbo governors and understand that Igboland has been sold to the north.

Nnia Nwodo keeps using the language that IPOB are his children whilst forgetting that four of our kidnapped mothers released from Owerri prisons are older than him.

We especially commend Amnesty International, Intersociety, World Jewish Council, SERAP, social media activists, commentators, men and women of goodwill that stood up to defend the constitutional right to freedom of assembly. Shame on all Igbo governors, politicians and traditional rulers that were so terrified of the Fulani caliphate they couldn't defend their own mothers. Only now, after our mothers has been released have they found their voice. There is a popular Igbo adage that reads, nwoke lucha ogu, nwanyi enwere akuko. In the case of Nnia Nwodo, it is now umunwayi IPOB lucha ogu, umunwoke Ohaneze enwere akuko. How the mighty has fallen.

Biafra: Rolling Out Tanks, Shooting and Killing Biafra Activists; an Inevitable Time Bomb That Must Explode One Day

Princewill Akubumma | For Biafra Writers

August 19, 2018

The brute-force attack strategy employed by the Nigerian government in handling issues against pro-Biafra activists is like a man creating a monster that will one day turn around and devour him. And the high handedness with which they follow the Biafra agitators is a proof that Nigeria doesn't value history for you cannot beat a child and forbid him not to cry!

On September 14, 2017, the Gen. Tukur Buratai led Nigeria Army under the order of Muhammadu Buhari in collaboration with Ohanaeze Ndigbo and South East Governors, invaded the home of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in a failed assassination attempt which resulted the death of 28 members of the group, and the disappearance of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his parents.

For the past one year now the whereabouts of the Biafra leader and his parents is still yet unknown, millions of his followers have been keeping their cool until on Friday, August 17, 2018, when their women decided to embark on a peaceful protest in demand of Kanu's whereabouts, and again, the oppressive Nigerian state as usual called out their armed Police officers to shoot at them with live bullets, harassing and arrested as many as they can after saturating them with lachrymator agent causing them severe eye and respiratory pain. As at the time of filing this report 48 IPOB women are still been held in an inhuman condition in Owerri, Imo State under the watch of Governor Rochas Okorocha and the state's commissioner of police,  Dasuki Galandanchi.

It is obvious that the Nigerian state has continued to try the patience of this non-violent agitators for quite a long time. And there comes a day when you are being pushed against a brick wall, the seemingly only option for you is to either get through the wall or get over it! And every right-thinking person would know that such a day is here upon us!

The world and the international community can bear witness to the fact that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has been victimized by the Nigerian state in so many occasions whenever they carried out a peaceful protest against the marginalization and unlawful detention of their members yet, they remained peaceful and resolute in their pursuit for self-determination but the oppressive Nigerian state has continued to kill and maim them for no just course which appears that the only language they understood is violence, which may result to arm struggle.

And we hope that no one should blame the Indigenous People of Biafra if eventually they resort to arm struggle since they are being killed every day for exercising their rights just like every other free people of the world has exercise theirs.

The brute-force attack method being used against the unarmed pro-Biafra agitators in southeast Nigeria is the same approach that birthed the dreaded Boko Haram terrorists in the northern Nigeria which has gone beyond the scope and strength of the federal government and the international community as well.

Recall that the movement once began with a group of people lead by one Muhammad Yusuf who holds peaceful rallies and talks going from one mosque to another teaching the Muslim faithful sharia law and they were conducting themselves peacefully while doing that.

But all came crashing down when the Nigerian government under the watch of the former President Olusegun Obasanjo began to treat them with contempt, shooting and killing them at random just as they have been going about the case with IPOB. It was then that the once peaceful Jama'at Ahli as-Sunnah Lid-Da'wah wal-Jihad group turned violent and started carrying guns, IEDs and all sort of dangerous weapons and started bombing and killing people before they were tagged a terrorist organization and ever since then Boko Haram has not stopped killing people in Nigeria.

A word they say is enough for the wise. The Nigerian government must learn from history or risk having another insurgent in addition to the one they created by themselves which they could not contain.

This is because when injustice becomes a law, resistance becomes a duty.

Slain Bodies Of IPOB Members Discovered In Obiawom Forest

IPOB PRESS RELEASE | Published By The Biafra Times

August 14, 2018

We the global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) commend our intelligence unit over the horrific discovery of yet more dead bodies of slain Biafrans in Obiawom village of Ogwe Autonomous Community in Asa Ukwa West LGA of Abia State. This gruesome find will once again drive home the horrors of Operation Python Dance and why all those that participated in its instigation and execution such as Ohaneze Ndigbo, South East governors and selected Igbo elders and politicians must not go unpunished.

If anything, this cold-blooded execution and unceremonious dumping of dead bodies in the forest by Fulani soldiers in Obiawom village in Ukwa West under the control of Abia State governor Okezie Ikpeazu is ample justification for the recent decision of IPOB to disengage from any further talks with Ohaneze Ndigbo and South East governors until all issues surrounding the genocidal Operation Python Dance is cleared up.

Had these number of murder victims been discovered in any Muslim country, region or part of the world, the International Criminal Court (ICC),  United Nations, Britain, USA and world media will be up in arms demanding explanation and holding the perpetrators accountable. Because these events are happening to Biafrans in Nigeria; where an Islamic government, along with her security operatives staffed by Fulani officers are aiding and protecting Hausa Fulani herdsmen and their kinsmen in the army from the consequences of the worst form of ethnically motivated genocide presently in Africa, the world remains deaf to the cries of IPOB. The site of these decomposed bodies should be designated as an international crime scene and promptly investigated.

Should the United Nations, ICC, USA and European Union fail to act on this gruesome discovery of mass grave of Biafrans in Ukwa Ngwa Abia State, we would conclude that there exists a credible bias and conspiracy to exterminate and Islamise Biafra by the pro-Islamic international community.

As we draw near to the anniversary of the murderous invasion of Afaraukwu on the 14th of September 2017, we once again call on Igbo governors, the global Christian community, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and other reputable and relevant human rights organisations around the world, to prevail upon the International Criminal Court, the Nigeria Government and her security operatives to release the remaining dead bodies of Biafrans in their custody since last year. An international panel of enquiry must be constituted as a matter of urgency to investigate the atrocities of this Buhari regime against innocent populations in Nigeria and Biafra in particular.
