Biafrans Commemorate the Victims of 9.11 attacks, condemn all manner of terrorism, including the ones being perpetrated by Fulani herdsmen and Boko Haram

September 11th every year, the government and the good people of the United States of America commemorate and pay tribute to the victims of the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001, which killed over 2,996 people and injured over 6,000. The twin towers of the world trade center and the Pentagon was completely devastated down to its very foundation.

The American national attitude of manifest destiny, hard work and technological innovation made her the most successful and prosperous nation on earth. The libertarian ideals of the founding founders which every generation of Americans uphold, has made their country a nation of different races, tongues, and colours. Immigrants troop in from every continent on earth with their ideals and skills in search of greener pastures. The door of America was opened to them so long as they abide by the American creed and swore allegiance to the constitution. Man worked, God blessed and the land of freedom with the emblem of the statue of liberty became the most powerful, prosperous and dominant nation on the face of the planet.

On this day, Tuesday morning - 11th September 2001, hijackers crashed the planes, American Airlines flight 11 and United Airlines flight 175, into the twin towers of world trade center (the symbol of American economic power) and the American Airlines 77 was crashed into the Pentagon - headquarters of the department of defense (symbol of the American military might). The aim is to cripple the western economy and military superiority and advance radical Islam with the intention to control the world system through the deployment of savagery and fear.

The spread of radical Islam is the aim, the indigenous population and America as the world power, is the prime target. We Biafrans world over, condemn this act of terror and others committed by these men from the underworld. The event of 9.11.2011 led to the declaration of war on terror by the Bush administration. It is the most brutal terrorist attacks against a nation in the history of man and the world has never remained the same since that Tuesday morning.
     
Together, with the civilized world, we the global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra worldwide, condemn all manner of terrorism in the world including the ones being perpetrated by Fulani herdsmen and Boko Haram in Nigeria in systematic connivance with the Fulani-controlled government of Nigeria, especially in North-East, Middle belt and Southern Nigeria and most notably, the acts of terror being perpetrated in the most gruesome manner against IPOB, whom they have massacred since 2015 till date.
       
Destroying human life is against our values and way of life. We stand with the Americans on this day of National remembrance. We mourn with those who lost their loved ones and pray that God give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
       
Our heart goes out to the wounded, some of whom till this day, endure the discomfort of brutality of man against his fellow man. We understand their predicaments because we have been on that road before between 1966-1970 even till date. We stand with you on this day. We implore the Americans and the free world to take solace from the words of the psalmist, ‘’though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me’’... for as long as our redeemer liveth, and the world exists, good must continue to triumph over evil.

There is a great need for change in strategy on the global efforts against terrorism. Terrorism has become a worldwide phenomenon with a vast network of groups with the sole agenda of advancing and planting radical Islam in every corner of the world. The alliance against terror needs to be strengthened and reinforced by empowering more friends and allies like the Biafrans who share common values and anti-terror ideals. This can be done through massive support for Biafra towards the attainment of statehood.

If a powerful country like the United States can be attacked, then it spells of the vulnerability that a besieged Biafra suffers. That is why there is need for a concerted effort towards the consolidation of allies, in order to win this global war on terrorism.

If the United States with all her military might and efficient exploits of the CIA can be attacked, then no elite member of the United Nations Security Council is safe.  It is to the best interest of the five (5) permanent members of the U.N.S.C that Biafra emerges as an independent nation. We have a long history with the jihadists that dates back to the 19th century. We have faced their wild-donkey-like aggression and brutality from 1966-1970, therefore, possess the mental will and tenacity to deal a fatal blow to this global terror network and rid the world of this evil.

We recognize the fact that, the five permanent members of the U.N.S.C and the civilized world is making great efforts in dismantling the global terror network. Biafrans are ever ready and it will be a great privilege to stand side by side with your great military forces to end the scourge of terrorism in the world. For if we fail in taking responsibility in Nigeria, the world will not be able to contain the refugees that will be unleashed.

America is the conscience of the world. The responsibility of true leadership is making hard and difficult decisions. It is the duty and obligation of America to protect and defend her core values, principles and ideals of freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness which these terrorists threaten.

What is at stake is freedom in America, Biafraland and the civilized world. For if Biafra is under the threat of the radical Islam and annihilation by the Fulani terrorist militia, then America is not safe. The United States must defend her territory, way of life and the free world through the unalloyed support for the emergence of a free Biafra.

The United States needs to build a formidable alliance with Biafra just as with the state of Israel, because we share so many things in common and are faced by a common enemy for whom the total destruction of the United States and Israel and orchestrating a pogrom in Biafraland is their ultimate goal.
     
We Biafrans are the originators and a long upholder of the republican and democratic ideals which the United States founding fathers institutionalized and is enjoyed by the Americans. We are bound by a common creed and value system. Therefore, we must form a formidable, strong and indomitable alliance to protect and advance these ideals.
         
The emergence of the land of the rising sun (Biafra) will certainly change the narrative on the war against terror to a positive one and collectively stop any semblance of the event of 9/11 around the world.
       
We have to keep faith in the Almighty God that this carnage on U.S soil will never happen again. Bearing in mind the words of Billy Graham, ‘’but now, we have a choice, whether to implode and disintegrate emotionally as a nation or to become stronger.

We must choose to become stronger for the next generation, the indigenous people and the rest of humanity. Radical Islam can never and will never defeat our great people and our great way of life.

Stop killing our family members, we face execution in Nigeria, IPOB alerts Israel, other world govts.

The  Indigenous Peoples of Biafra,  IPOB, has made a passionate appeal to Israel and other world governments to prevail on Nigeria Government to stop killing our members as well as other Biafra agitators who visited Nigeria before Christmas and beyond from different countries. Biafrans abroad are humiliated and hunted down in their respective families and communities especially since Nnamdi Kanu IPOB leader snapped pictures with Israeli national coordinator and other members in Israel, their families are under serious attack by DSS and other security operatives.

IPOB alerted the world governments of the danger faced by Biafra agitators families in Nigeria since the appearance of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu in the state of Israel on October 2018.

IPOB leadership said the appeal had become necessary following reports that some of our members seeking refuge in some foreign countries face threat because of their involvement in the struggle for Biafra freedom.

IPOB, the lives of our members here in Biafraland are in danger of summary execution by security operatives in Nigeria.

We certainly discovered that two of our family members who recently arrived from the state of Israel got killed by Nigerian Army and dumped in a boro pit in Aba,  Abia State.

IPOB, therefore, must plead with  Governments of the world especially the Israeli Government and other western countries to give any support necessary to save the lives of IPOB family members who eventually comes to Nigeria.

It is important we remind the whole world that those who are coming back from other parts of the world including Israel are facing serious persecutions here in Nigeria, particularly those who snapped pictures with IPOB leader.
Just last week two young men who came back from Israel were killed and dumped along the road and in bush in Aba Abia state.

IPOB leadership have been informed that even our Coordinator in Israel,  Mr. Ibezim Obiorah Augustine's family is also facing threat from Nigerian DSS and other security operatives.

We appeal to the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu to intervene and save the lives of  Augustine and his family, including other IPOB family members in Israel, Nigeria, Biafra land other countries of the world.

This is  to inform the general public and entire world that IPOB Volunteers marched along all major streets and roads of Biafraland today to register their happiness over the second coming and reappearance of our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in Jerusalem, the state of Israel last month. Our leader's reappearance in Israel    after the Nigerian government and her security forces including the Nigerian Army, Air force and Naval forces invaded his compound at Afaraukwu Ibeku Umuahia in Abia State last year September is clearly an indication to all and sundry that God Almighty (Chukwu Okike Abiama) is behind the struggle for  Biafra liberation.

Biafrans are equally today showcasing to the world that we are ready to boycott every Nigerian elections come 2019 especially presidential election next year.
Our march today on the roads and streets across Biafraland must send signals to politicians and saboteurs among us that Biafrans are determined to leave the prison called Nigeria where British government experimented to lead black Africans and other black nations across the globe but failed to live up to the expectations for over 100 years because of the Hausa Fulani caliphate dominations.

Biafra: Why I won’t abandon Biafra struggle – Asochukwu, Gasline Zonal Coordinator

...Says recent mystical appearance of serpent and dove at the Western Wall signifies Biafra’s imminent freedom

ABA— The Gasline zonal coordinator of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Bonaventure Ugochukwu Asochukwu has said that because the agitation for the restoration of the sovereign state of Biafra is a ‘divine and an ordained movement,’ he won’t go back nor abandon the struggle.

The coordinator made this known on Sunday in an interview with our correspondent in Aba while explaining the mystery behind the mystical incident that took place at the Jerusalem Temple on Friday, November 2, 2018, the exact location where the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu recently prayed at the Western Wall.

It was gathered that a snake (Serpent) appeared on the Western Wall of the Temple in Jerusalem and attempted to wrestle a pigeon (Dove) but failed and the latter triumphed.

While explaining the meaning of the allegorical symbols – serpent and dove, he said: “Why l will never dream of abandoning this struggle is because of its divine nature. Wherever Mazi Nnamdi Kanu goes, heaven keeps on showing that He Almighty Chukwu Okike sent him. When he was in Biafra land, several mystical signs kept on coming out. First the Sun followed him wherever he goes to the extent that the Zoo (Nigerian) citizens rumoured that he was controlling the sun. Later on, the rainbow appeared in his father’s compound circling the Sun.

“Immediately l saw him at the Western Wall praying, l knew that Chukwu Okike Abiama was going to testify his coming as a heavenly ordination. In that wonderful revelation, that the dove triumphed signified that a Messiah of a Jewish tribe has defeated the evil plans of the enemy. The triumph of the dove means that another Jewish state is about to be set free. In Jewish tradition, a dove signifies freedom.”

He further noted that Hashem has risen to bring the lost tribes of Israel together again, adding that Kanu is a messiah for a particular set of the Jewish tribe, “he is the dove that triumphed against the clutches of the evil men who are trying everything possible to clip the wings of Biafra.”

Asochukwu further stretched his hands of warning to Britain not to try to be a stumbling block to the Biafra restoration project, saying “if they do, their stability as a country will no longer be guaranteed.”

Ugochukwu Asochukwu was one of the IPOB leaders who spent five months in the DSS custody alongside Abia State Coordinator, Ikechukwu Ugwuoha for merely exercising their right to self-determination.

Kanu’s emergence: Israel and the taunt on Nigeria Intelligence Services

It is possible that until now, Nigerians do not know that what Israel did was to mock them and their security services to their faces. They are such pathetic halfwits! Is it not a shame that Nigeria could not on its own ascertain the location from where Nnamdi Kanu broadcasted to the world on Sunday, October 21?

The broadcast was not a surprise. Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) gave notice of the broadcast and Nnamdi Kanu’s location some three solid days beforehand. That was why many Nigerian officials, from their president to ministers and advisers, downloaded the Radio Biafra App to listen to it. They did not bother nor had the wherewithal to establish the location.

Then, after the broadcast, they strutted off to go and demand the repatriation of the Biafran leader from Israel. Well, such a pity, they got what they deserved: “Nnamdi Kanu is not in Jerusalem; it must have been an old recording that people saw,” they were told.

The fools went back looking stupid like vultures beaten by rain; and began to send out senseless messages to the people how they were going to protect them. Meanwhile, thousands have been murdered in Kano and elsewhere in the country by the murderous Fulani coalitions of Boko Haram, herdsmen, and Nigerian Police and military.

Instructively, what happened to them with Israel should better teach them that there is more to building countries than fixing elections; killing the citizens to stay in power, or even coming out every year to pretend to read a budget. It should teach them the bitter lesson that intelligence gathering and information management makes a country sure-footed.

It is a shame that what Nigeria has as secret services, like the one called the Department of State Security (DSS), which busies itself with chasing political opponents of incumbents and detaining without trials. Even those who were detained, whom they were forced to bring to court; they have disobeyed court orders who ruled for their release.

Now the joke of a country is begging Israel for friendship. Why did they not remember friendship when their fake of a president was demanding for a two-state solution between Israel and so-called Palestine? Why did they not remember friendship when they were voting against the United States of America (USA) for citing their Embassy in Jerusalem?
Nigeria is such a disgrace!

Nnamdi Kanu: IPOB reassures Biafrans, says leader out and determined to set them free

We the global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) commend hardcore Biafrans, friends of Biafra and lovers of freedom for keeping faith with our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu as evidenced by the unprecedented enthusiasm and support his world press conference generated all over the world. It has demonstrated beyond any doubt that Biafra restoration is an irreversible project regardless of what the criminal political class and their hired hands may think. The gravy train of political mediocrity and conveyor belt of impunity will soon come to an end because the only man who can restore hope to the hopeless is out and determined more than ever to set the captives free.

We thank our indomitable leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu for taking the time to educate the world on the horrors of the military invasion of his home and concerted effort by the corrupt political class across both divides to assassinate him. Their failure to accomplish that dastardly deed officially marked the end of Nigeria as we know it. That certain segments of the anti-Biafra crusade are busy tormenting their sad souls with outlandish falsehoods and outright fabricated lies is confirmation that the tendency to gravitate towards anything evil is part and parcel of what it means to be a Nigerian. The wickedness and murderous  tendencies of this ‘Buhari’ regime and his Fulani herdsmen is a reflection of the devilish nature of the Nigerian society. We shall continue to hold Nigeria responsible for the unprovoked invasion of the home of our leader and the death of 28 people.

Whether the see no evil, hear no evil anti-Biafra brigade within the chattering political class in Nigeria wish to see reason or not, Nnamdi Kanu will bring Nigeria to an end because the level of injustice and wickedness in the land has become intolerable. A country where the judiciary, legislature and sections of people turn a blind eye as the army is unleashed by the president to assassinate people at will does not deserve to exist. The impunity and disregard for the rule of law in Nigeria, aided and abetted by the gullibility of a largely illiterate population is a recipe for disaster which shall unfold very soon. We will continue to ask the question, who sent the army to invade the home of Nnamdi Kanu?

We again salute the bravery, courage and sacrifice of IPOB Intelligence (M Branch)  that lost 28 gallant men on that fateful day of 14 September 2017. The repeated attempts by the APC regime, South East governors and Ohaneze Ndigbo to cover up this shameful chapter in the annals of atrocities in Nigeria, has been blown wide open by our leader’s worldwide broadcast on Sunday 21st October 2018 from Israel. Had the Nigerian army succeeded in killing Nnamdi Kanu, we would not have been able to bring this horrific event to the attention of the world.

Nonexistent groups that solely operate on the pages of newspaper and the few unethical publications that indulge them are wasting their time. Aborted freedom fighters that transmuted from self determination proponents to property tycoons in Owerri, courtesy of their Fulani masters, have been rendered impotent and reduced to yapping like a drowning bird online. The impeccably upright Nnamdi Kanu has command of an entire nation, the sooner these time wasters realize it the better for them.

Only one broadcast and the foundations of the British contraption Islamic caliphate controlled Nigeria is quaking. What will these people do when Mazi Nnamdi Kanu renders his much anticipated apocalyptic broadcast unmasking Jubril next month, in what we have termed a requiem mass for Nigeria? Perhaps that will usher in the Third World War. Apologists for tyranny, collaborators and faceless groups parading themselves as Non-Governmental groups in Igboland will be swallowed up with the tide of revolutionary rage that will sweep the land. Nigeria and her corrupt citizens has every right to be afraid of Nnamdi Kanu because his reemergence has marked the beginning of the end of Nigeria as we know it.

Breaking: Kanu resurfaces after one year, sets to resume broadcasts on Radio Biafra

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, today, staged a dramatic appearance at the State of Jerusalem, Israel in a viral video capturing him as he offered prayers at the Holy city.

This is happening after more than a year he went missing following a military raid at his residence in Isiama Afara-Ukwu, Umuahia but just as the tsunami takes the land unaware, that was how the eagle landed, as the hunter was preparing to shoot his last bullet, the owner of the gun shouted, ‘it's over!’

In another related development, the IPOB leadership has disclosed that Kanu would be once again coming live on air for radio broadcast on Radio Biafra London to speak largely on what transpired during the raid by armed soldiers.

According to IPOB, “The Supreme leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will be coming live on Radio Biafra London on Sunday 21st October, 2018, 6pm Biafra Time.

“He will speak to Biafrans, friends of Biafrans and the world at large on his whereabout over a year and what transpired on 14th of September, 2017 as the Nigerian military invaded his father’s compound.”

Kanu’s sudden appearance at Israel where he was seen praying at the western wall was heavily welcomed with a shout of joy all over the world by his followers and lovers of freedom under the planet earth.

His timely appearance at this moment have sent a strong message to the Nigerian government who have done everything humanly possible to eliminate him from this world just as they did to other freedom fighters who have risen to question the injustice of British colonialists government against the people of the eastern region of Nigeria.

Really the tide of event will surely change as the ever vocal leader of IPOB shall lift up the microphone once again to speak to the world on all that had trespassed while in and out of Nigeria and his ever formidable followers can’t wait to hear that blessed thunderous voice once again.

The time to take Biafra has come and no man born of a woman can stop it for it has been a prophecy of centuries.

Jerusalem: Nigerian Muslims Roll Out American And Israeli Flags On The Ground, Burns Them To Ashes In Protest Against US Declaration Of Jerusalem As Israeli Capital

As natural and national emotions of diverse countries about the American government’s standpoint on Jerusalem as Israeli capital kept on protruding notwithstanding the vile efforts of Arab countries to suppress the truth ironically, the Nigerian State should be used as a case study to ascertain the clandestine motives of these countries and the urgent need for the American government to begin looking for her natural allies around the globe. This is due to the manifold and accumulated threats from different countries of the world.

The images contained in this publication was captured from a religious protest in Nigeria's capital city of Abuja on Friday, June 8, 2018, where the Nigerian Muslim community fused with all other international Arab nations to protest against US President Donald Trump’s declaration of Jerusalem as Israeli capital and against what they perceived as injustice against their Palestinian Muslims brothers. They were all over the central district of Abuja yesterday, especially from the Abuja central mosque after their Friday’s prayers, rolling the US and Israeli flags on the floor in disgust after they painted it with blood. Not yet satisfied, they even went as far as burning the flags to ashes.

We have to understand the conspiracy here, the Christians in Nigeria (Biafrans) have always been massacred anytime they converged en masse to protest against the inhumane and degrading treatments meted against them in Nigeria. They were massacred in their numbers by the Fulani-Muslim dominated Nigerian military when they trooped out to rally in solidarity with Donald Trump over his landslide victory at the last presidential poll that brought him in as president. But these Muslims were given a red carpet treatment by the Nigerian government as they were protesting against the declaration made by the most powerful country in the universe.

A protest in a country’s capital city signifies the strong backing of the government of the country where the protest is conducted. Giving to reports emanating from the floor of Amnesty International, Nigeria is no doubt phobic to protests and quells it with military strength. But in this case, it was a different ball game. The Nigerian military were providing security to these Muslims, ensuring their safety and making sure they accomplish their mission. These military men stood gallantry, watching as America and Israel’s flag were matched upon by these angry Muslim fanatics.

In conclusion, the American government, over the years, has been providing Nigeria with military hardwares and weaponry. Out of this nonsense called political correctness, America is busy fortifying their enemy state while abandoning their natural allies. My question to America is, when the die is cast in the future, who will stand with their next generation to fight against their enemies?

Jerusalem: IPOB backs Trump, U.S...congratulates Israel

In 1995, the US congress passed a law called the “Jerusalem Embassy Act. The law required the U.S. to move the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem by a set deadline, but conceded that the move could be put off for six months at a time as long as the President “determines and reports to Congress in advance that such suspension is necessary to protect the national security interests of the United States.

From Bill Clinton to George W. Bush to Barack Obama, no US president has had the guts to enforce that law until a few days ago. Many people do not even know that president Donald J. Trump was only enforcing a law that the US congress had given their presidents green light to act on since 1995. The media will never tell you this. By taking action when and where others couldn’t, President Donald J. Trump has become the living hero of American democracy.

Many may be upset that he did what he did, but we the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) are ecstatic. It is a thing of great joy and a refreshing reminder that our world still has the regenerative capacity to birth transformational leadership.

We salute you, Mr. President. Thank you for recognizing Jerusalem as the eternal capital of Israel, and thank you most of all for the plans to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. We believe that many more countries will emulate your courageous act, and we also hope that soon, very soon, the Republic of Biafra will be born out of wanton repression, and we will become Israel’s strongest ally on the African continent with a beautiful embassy in the holy city of Jerusalem. Habakkuk 2:3: For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”


By what you have done, Mr. Donald J. Trump as American President, have shown that courageous leadership is not predicated on public opinion or political correctness, but on justice, equity and fairness. Every right-thinking person who is not blinded by parochial ethnocentric biases will agree with you. We believe that what is right is right and what is wrong is wrong. And for those who have sworn to make this world a living hell for truth, justice and equity, read Isaiah 48:22: There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked. And so we say “wait, your karma is on the way.”

Once again, Mr. President, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) say, congratulations. We stand shoulder to shoulder with you. Shalom.

GERMANY - The grand opening of the headquarters of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, took place today December 8, 2017 at Dussedorf  Germany.

It has entered into history as divinely endorsed that today, the worldwide headquarter of IPOB was opened in the same country where Belin Conference was held to decimate Africa in 1884 - 1885. Apparently, this  is a sign of a new down for not only the Indigenous People of Biafra, but also for the entire black race and humanity at large.

The deputy leader of the the Indigenous People of Biafra Mazi Uche Mefor, on this epoch making occasion, made a very powerful speech before the opening of the IPOB worldwide headquarters in Germany.

Biafra: Trump officially recognizes Jerusalem as Israel's capital, orders embassy move for US

• President announces efforts to move U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem

President Trump on Wednesday formally recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital, saying it's time to "acknowledge the obvious" as he ordered the State Department to begin moving the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

“I have determined that it is time to officially recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel,” the president said during a speech in the Diplomatic Reception Room of the White House.

The move fulfills a campaign promise made to religious conservatives. But it could also inflame tensions across the Middle East.

“This is nothing more or less than a recognition of reality," Trump said. "It is also the right thing to do. It’s something that has to be done.”

Trump acknowledged the opposition from other countries in the Middle East to his decision, saying Vice President Mike Pence will be “traveling to the region” in the coming days.

“There will of course be disagreement and dissent regarding this announcement,” Trump said. “But we are confident that ultimately, as we work through these disagreements, we will arrive at a peace and place far greater in understanding and cooperation.”

WHY TRUMP’S PROMISE TO MOVE U.S. EMBASSY TO JERUSALEM IS SO CONTROVERSIAL

During his remarks, Trump emphasized he is still committed to a peace deal between the two sides.

“This decision is not intended in any way to reflect a departure from our strong commitment to facilitate a lasting peace agreement," he said. "We want an agreement that is a great deal for the Israelis and a great deal for the Palestinians.”

The U.S. would be the first country to move its embassy to Jerusalem, which is claimed by both Israelis and Palestinians. Other countries that have diplomatic relations with Israel keep their embassies in Tel Aviv.

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley told Fox News' "The Story with Martha MacCallum" that Trump's decision was "acknowledging something that’s common sense to everyone."

"The [Knesset] is there, the prime minister is there, the Supreme Court -- that is the capital," Haley said. "And by us putting the embassy there, that’s a U.S. decision."

But the embassy move would not be immediate and could take at least three or four years.

The U.S. officials said there are currently about 1,000 personnel in the embassy in Tel Aviv. They added that there is no facility in Jerusalem ready to serve as the embassy site, and it will take time to address security, design and cost concerns.

“This will immediately begin the process of hiring architects, engineers and planners so that a new embassy when completed will be a magnificent tribute to peace,” Trump said.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a televised message, thanked Trump for what he called a “courageous and just” decision.

“This decision reflects the president’s commitment to an ancient but enduring truth,” Netanyahu said. “The president’s decision is an important step toward peace, for there is no peace that doesn’t include Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.”

He stressed there would be no change in the status quo at the holy sites and Israel will ensure “freedom of worship” for all faiths.

Ahead of the announcement, Trump spoke Tuesday with Palestinian President Mahmood Abbas, Jordanian King Abdullah and Netanyahu.

Abbas has warned of the “gravity of consequences” should the move become official for “the peace process and security and stability in the region and world.”

"Courage doesn’t come by doing what everybody else says," Haley told Fox News Wednesday night. "Courage comes by doing what you know is right. This is the right thing to do and what the president’s doing is he’s showing leadership."

The controversy surrounding the move of the embassy dates back decades. A law passed in 1995 under the Clinton administration considers Jerusalem the capital, and even mandates the move of the embassy there.

But the law allows for a loophole used by former Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama – an option to issue waivers every six months to delay the move from Tel Aviv.

Trump also took advantage of the loophole, which Republicans have long called to be closed. Trump’s first waiver was signed in June, which drew praise from the Palestinians and some disappointment from Israel.

The administration officials said Tuesday that Trump will still sign a waiver to keep from jeopardizing State Department funding while the relocation process begins.
