Kanu's Parents Burial: The Floodgates of Hell Will Be Opened If You Carry Out Your Threat to Massacre Mourners - IPOB Warns Army, Police

IPOB PRESS RELEASE

February 12, 2020 | The Biafra Times

We the global family of the Indigenous of People of Biafra (IPOB) wish to reiterate in clear and unambiguous terms that what Nigerian police and army are planning to do in Afaraukwu during the burial of Eze Israel Okwu Kanu and his wife on Friday 14th of February 2020 will set off a chain reaction that Nigeria will never recover from. Common arbitrary arrest of any mourner this week Friday is capable of inciting a disproportionate reaction from angry mourners. IPOB is warning all agents of Nigerian government in Biafraland, traitors and caliphate slaves alike that what will befall CP Okon will also be their portion should shots be fired in Afaraukwu. The era of Nigerian army and police shooting innocent mourners in Biafraland has come to an end.

What is happening in Umuahia with the provocative presence of Nigerian army and police is an insult to the people of Biafra and the Igbo race in particular. All those that have in various ways supported the unprovoked murderous clampdown on IPOB will pay dearly for it. IPOB has remained peaceful but it seems the Nigerian government is hell-bent on provoking us into armed struggle that will inevitably precipitate the violent disintegration of Nigeria. Nigerians should call their government in Aso Rock to order and impress upon them the need for their army and police to steer clear of the whole of Umuahia township on February 14, 2020, in the interest of peace. They should head to the north where there are countless security challenges. We want to join the people of Afaraukwu in peacefully mourning the death of HRM Eze Sir I.O Kanu and his wife in peace, who it must be said died as a result of the Nigerian army and police invasion of their home on September 14, 2017

What Nigerian army and police are doing in Umuahia cannot happen in the north. We do not think the Alimajiri populations of the north will allow the burial of an Emir to be subjected to such needless tension and ridicule but in Biafraland anything goes because of the reign of puppets and quislings.

As we continue to receive daily threats from the army and police regarding their impending massacre of innocent mourners on Friday, February 14, let the world be on notice that the floodgates of hell will be opened should the army or police appear anywhere around Afaraukwu on the day of the burial. Let those that may feign ignorance of the fact be duly warned on time that burial ceremony is sacred in Igboland, especially that of a king, therefore the intended nuisance of Nigerian security personnel will not be tolerated on Friday.

We are aware that those behind the deadly invasion of September 2017 are the same people working with Aso Rock to bring mayhem to Umuahia on Friday. Out of public view, these politicians and so-called socio-cultural leaders have been offering financial support to Fulani soldiers in Obinze, Ohafia, Abakiliki, Onitsha, and Asa in readiness for their deadly deployment to Umuahia. Their plan is to kill as many people as possible to demoralise our leader and pave the way for a full-scale Fulani invasion and takeover of our land.

We are equally in the know of the numerous plans and strategies of the troops so far deployed by Buratai to the east in preparation for the burial of our first parents. It's quite obvious to the average reasonable person that IPOB will not succumb to their pressure regardless of the consequences. All their perfected plans to disrupt the burial on that very day is common knowledge among diplomatic circles all over the world who will be following the proceedings live on Biafra Television, social media, and Radio Biafra platforms. The plan by Nigeria's Chief of Army Staff Lt. General Tukur Buratai to use the burial ceremony of HRM Eze Israel Okwu Kanu to eliminate and kill anybody suspected to be IPOB supporter in Umuahia on Friday 14th of February 2020 is equally well known, documented and powers that be duly notified.

The burial service of our leader's parents HRM Eze Isreal Okwu Kanu and his wife Ugoeze Sally Mmeme Okwu Kanu on Friday at Afaraukwu Umuahia must hold peacefully. We want to make it abundantly clear that if the Police and Army fire a single bullet on that day there will be no peace for every soul involved, especially those that issued the order from the comfort of their offices in Abuja, Enugu, Owerri, and Umuahia. We need a peaceful funeral, the ancient laws of our land demand it and nobody should try IPOB.

IPOB is strategically monitoring every individual politician in the South East and governors over their actions and inactions towards this burial on Friday. All those who may have joined the Fulani boy-boy CP Ene Okon of Abia State to encourage Fulani soldiers to come to Afaraukwu to kill people on Friday will pay very dearly for their actions.

It is unfortunate that some Igbo politicians and their supporters would encourage Fulani terrorists and Boko Haram soldiers recruited in Nigeria Army and Police to kill our people in a funeral ceremony, a sacrilegious act that has never happened before in the history of Igboland, Biafra, and Nigeria. Every Biafran must be prepared this time, IPOB would not allow these marauders to repeat what they did in Umuahia on September 2017 in this 2020 and definitely not during the burial of the parents of our leader. Nigerian army and police must stay away from Umuahia as a whole.

We are informing every mourner attending the burial on Friday to conduct him/herself in a manner consistent with the noble ideals of our ancestors. All approach to Umuahia is rigged with CCTV cameras to monitor human and vehicular traffic because IPOB won't accept any confusion or misunderstanding from anybody.

Biafra independence and freedom is inevitable and nobody born by a mere mortal can stop it.

Ejiofor urged army, police, others to withdraw from Afaraukwu and allow peaceful burial for Kanu's parents

February 11, 2020 | The Biafra Times

Ahead of the burial ceremony of Nnamdi Kanu’s parents in Abia state, his lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, has called on the Army, the Inspector General of Police and other security agencies to withdraw their men from the community to allow for a peaceful burial.

Eze Israel Okwu Kanu and Ugoeze Sally Kanu, parents of the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu would be buried on February 14, 2020. Ejiofor, at a press conference, yesterday, in Abuja, appealed to Abia Police Commissioner, Mr. Ene Okon, to order the police to stay away from the venue of the ceremony.

The appeal by Kanu’s lawyer comes on the heels of the warning issued by Mr. Okon to IPOB members to steer clear of the burial ceremony.

Ejiofor also lamented the heavy presence of soldiers in Kanu’s community. The pro-Biafran group said its members were not coming for war, but to pay their last respect to the parents of their leader.

Okon, however,  said the police would not allow IPOB to participate in the burial and that if members of the proscribed organisation were seen anywhere around the burial venue, police would scatter the ceremony.

Okon said he had reached out to the traditional prime minister of Afaraukwu, Kanu’s hometown, to make it clear that the burial would not hold if IPOB members attended.

Stop Issuing Irrelevant Threat to Mourners - IPOB Warns CP Okon

IPOB Press Release

February 10, 2020 | The Biafra Times

It is now crystal clear to the general public that this caliphate servant in Nigeria Police uniform named CP Okon supposedly in charge of Abia Police Command in Umuahia Abia state wants to use the name of our most revered leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and indomitable IPOB worldwide to be noticed as the Fulani slave of the month. Last month it was Hope Uzodinma in Imo State, this month it is the turn of Abia in the person of this Mr. Okon. He is given to making these irrelevant statements in order to advance his unremarkable career as the obedient servant of the caliphate the same way other equally misguided slaves in his position did before him. He and his masters in Arewa arid lands of the north should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves for threatening people attending a funeral service.

Such despicable and downright condemnable utterance can only obtain in Biafraland where socio-cultural and political leadership are in the hands of unrepentant traitors. Will a commissioner of police make such a ridiculous statement in the Sharia north. Not even during the burial ceremony of countless murderous Fulani terrorists in the north did any police commissioner find it worthy to warn mourners not to attend a funeral service. In the sad history of Nigeria, never has there been an edict or warning issued against those mourning the passing of loved ones only now in Abia State.

CP Okon is expecting his slave masters to reward him the rank of AIG after the burial of our leader's parents which we can assure him he will never get. As our leader expressly pronounced during his radio address on Saturday, 8 February 2020, should any shot be fired in and around Afaraukwu on Friday 14 February 2020, the family and children of CP Okon will be hunted down and killed. If Buratai is involved through his cowardly army that ran away from Boko Haram in the north with their tails between their legs, is found culpable his children will also pay the price anywhere they are in the world. We say enough is enough!

Before this Okon came, there were other loud mouthed southern police commissioners in Abia that sought to impress their Alimajiri masters by making unedifying and unguarded utterances against our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the indomitable IPOB family. The same way they sunk into oblivion is exactly the same way this talkertative imp will be quickly consigned to the scrapheap of used and discarded unthinking caliphate servants from the south. He is not the first and neither will he be the last. We wonder why these slaves to the Fulani people and their Caliphate in Sokoto reason negatively always.

IPOB is not in the business of responding to incompetent lowly ranked officers of a failed, shameless, uncivilised and discredited colonial disgrace like Nigeria. IPOB is an international movement currently engaged in international diplomacy to drive home the need to put the long suffering ethnic nationalities the British herded together into their failed experiment in Nigeria out of the primitive stranglehold of the eternally backward Arewa core north. These inconsequential and roundly incompetent local police and military operatives blabbing away from a poorly maintained office in a delapidated building in Umuahia and Ohafia  are not worthy of an intelligent response from the great IPOB. We shall as always peacefully attend the burial of His Royal Majesty and his wife and should Nigerian army and police attempt to breach the peace, the world will bear us witness.

However it is important we inform the Fulani masters of this Okon and those parading themselves as military officers in Afaraukwu Umuahia to beware because they cannot stop IPOB from coming to the burial of our leader's parents on 14th of February, next week Friday. Biafra is resonating all over the world today especially thanks to our great leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB family worldwide. All the years of threats and brutal crackdowns on IPOB have all resulted in making IPOB more defiant, determined and ruthless in our pursuit of the noble goal of Biafra liberation. The recent statement in the Sun newspaper of the 8th of February 2020 attributed to this CP Okon is something he will come to regret in time to come.

If the military might of the Alimajiri Nigerian north, grand conspiracy of the judiciary and mind-numbing treachery of Igbo governors and Ohaneze Ndigbo could not stop IPOB, how much less an unknown Fulani boy-boy and servant in police uniform in Umuahia.

IPOB warns Nigerian army over plot to disrupt leader's parents' funeral

We are unstoppable, IPOB challenges army

February 6, 2020

By Chikwas Onu Ikpe | Biafra Writers

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has warned off the Nigerian army, and other security agencies to steer clear of the hometown of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, at this time of honouring his deceased parents.

A statement was delivered following the recent development in Kanu's country home, Isiama Afaraukwu Ibeku, Umuahia, Abia State as soldiers were seen parading and flaunting the peaceable streets of Afaraukwu with series of combative wares (steel-clad vehicles and weighted armoured tanks); in what appears to be a 'show of force'.

IPOB, in the news release signed by its media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful, berated the army, says (that) the latter, aside “constitutional backing” is not different from the terrorists (Boko Haram) in the North East of Nigeria.

“We continue to draw the attention of the civilised world to the incessant harassment, humiliation, intimidation of Afaraukwu community in Umuahia-Ibeku by the very lazy and shameless Nigerian Army, whose stock in trade is to terrorise innocent civilians while recruiting hardened terrorists into their ranks as unmitigated lawlessness rage across Nigeria.

READ ALSO: Nigerian Soldiers Constituting Terror in Nnamdi Kanu's Hometown to Disrupt the Burial of his Parent

“In the history of world military, the brazen and cowardly display of military might in Isiama Afaraukwu by Nigerian Army as Boko Haram and other Fulani sponsored terror groups wreak havoc on defenceless citizens is confirmation that Buratai and his men are not true soldiers but mere terrorists with constitutional backing. This is because real soldiers fight wars not terrorising innocent civilians preparing for burial ceremony. If they don't already know this, let the hierarchy of the Nigerian military know they are the laughing stock of the world.

“An army roundly defeated in the battlefield, its officers pursued, captured and beheaded by a band of ill-equipped combatants but take pride in showcasing its intimidatory might in peaceful enclaves in the height is an army of cowards devoid of ideas.

“What Buratai and his soldiers are doing in Umuahia is no different from what terrorists are doing in the North East of Nigeria. They invade peaceful communities, killing, pillaging, destroying and kidnapping people at will. The same template Boko Haram and other Fulani sponsored murder squads are operating under in the north is exactly what Nigerian Army is doing in the East. The Nigerian Army fled the battlefields of the North, abandoned their constitutional duty to fight armed insurgency but instead turned their armoured tanks and troops on Afaraukwu community because of a burial ceremony.”

Speaking further, amid several “intimidations” by the Nigerian security forces, IPOB expresses its unwavering support, and preparedness towards the royal obsequies of Kanu's parents come February 14, 2020.

READ ALSO: Regional Policing: Nigeria Heading the Way of Yugoslavia, Southeast Least Prepared

“We wish to notify the world that preparations for the burial of our leader's parents is going ahead as planned. The Nigerian Army is wasting their time and valuable resources in trying to stop something they know they are incapable of stopping. Burial of the dead is a right older than man itself.

“Nigeria government and her soldiers are shameless and downright disgraceful and their refusal to confront armed Fulani insurgency and Boko Haram menace in the north but instead chose to focus their attention on a burial ceremony in Afaraukwu is indicative of the misplaced priorities at the heart of this APC regime which has directly led to the deterioration of security situation across Nigeria.

“It defies both common sense and logic that Nigerian soldiers went AWOL in terror ravaged areas of the north, they refused to battle bandits and terror groups they themselves sponsored, but are busy killing and terrorizing innocent and unarmed individuals in the East.

Powerful added that “Boko Haram, Fulani herdsmen, Miyetti Allah Bandits, ISIS in West Africa, Al-Queda in the Maghreb are dutifully waiting for Buratai and his warriors to engage them in battle in the north; that is the real security problem facing Nigeria not the burial of His Royal Majesty Eze Israel Okwu Kanu and his wife. How can the government of Nigeria justify the deployment of soldiers to the venue of a funeral while terrorists are busy making the lives of law-abiding citizens a misery?

READ ALSO: Call for Buhari to Resign, Abaribe Spoke the Mind of the People

“We are reminding the APC government in  Aso Rock and their cowardly soldiers to return to the North to fight Boko Haram terrorists and leave IPOB and Afaraukwu community alone. Nigeria soldiers and their supporters must be ashamed of themselves.

“One thing is certain come 14 February 2020, the parents of our leader will be laid to rest. APC regime, Nigerian Army and their badly informed supporters cannot stop IPOB from restoring the sovereign state of Biafra within the shortest possible time by the grace of God.”

Nnamdi Kanu's parents, His Royal Majesty, Eze Sir Israel Okwu Kanu [father] and Ugoeze Sally Nnenne Kanu [mother] 'were' the traditional ruler of Isiama Afaraukwu community until death.

Recall that there was a military invasion in Kanu's home, September 14, 2017; same foisted trauma and psychological damage upon Ugoeze Sally Kanu; who died almost two years later in August 2019. Followingly, His Royal Majesty, Eze Okwu Kanu died over the shock of the sudden death of his wife. The duo will be accorded a royal, befitting burial on February 14, 2020 in their country home, Isiama Afaraukwu Ibeku.

Biafra: The Sacrifice of a King

December 30, 2019

By Victoria.  O. C. Agangan | Biafra Writers

The Nigerian killer military  machine  invaded;
So lost he, his home,
Then his wife, and now his life.
An ultimate sacrifice!
The noble king of Afaraukwu!
Afaraukwu weeps! IPOB mourns!
Biafrans sob with plenty moans!
This journey so far has begotten much woes!
And I cry with grief; O Lord! How long?

How long will we continue to lose to the zoo, our Biafrans jewels?
How long must we retain this strife for freedom joys?
How long will our travails hold forth in uncertainties?
How long? How long?

With resolve we have pledged, but is it enough?
Resolutely, we work but for how long?
This task is tough
And the path is rough
Many tears we daily shed
Many deaths we daily record

IPOB is haunted down
Biafrans are gunned down
Our abode are invaded
We are nearly destroyed
But Chukwu Okike in thee, we hope,
Another  great loss to this cause
His Royal majesty; Eze Israel Kanu!
Unto you we commit his soul.

Let his transcend  intercede for us
We pray to bear this irreparable loss
As we cry with our leader, Nnamdi Kanu!
Cast your care into our soul
Help our resolve to restore Biafra
For only in thee we trust and hope!

Nnamdi Kanu: Nnamdi Kanu’s Father is Dead - IPOB

IPOB PRESS RELEASE | THE BIAFRA TIMES

 December 6, 2019

We the global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by our great leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu wish to console the family our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the entire Kanu family and the community of Afaraukwu over the passing  of their father, uncle, brother and traditional ruler, His Royal Majesty Eze Sir Israel Okwu Kanu the Egwu Ukwu II of Afaraukwu who joined his ancestors as a result of health complications arising from the trauma of the invasion of his palace by Nigerian soldiers on September 14, 2017 and most recently over the  shock of the sudden death of his wife Ugoeze Sally Nmeme Okwu Kanu.

We are left in no doubt the military attack on Isiama Afaraukwu and the Kanu family by the armed forces of the Federal Government of Nigeria is the principal cause of death of our leader's parents. We confidently state, without fear of contradiction, that our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu have also sacrificed his parents in pursuit of freedom for the people of Biafra. There is no greater act of devotion to a noble cause than this.

Rather than weaken or diminish our resolve to restore Biafra, the passing of our leader's parents will infuse us with a greater sense of determination because only by accomplishing the liberation of Biafra will we truly mourn them.

We are asking Almighty God Chukwu Okike Abiama to grant the family, friends, lovers of freedom, Afaraukwu Eze-in-Council and entire community the fortitude to bear the great loss and vacuum the passing of His Majesty has created in our midst.

Nnamdi Kanu: Don’t play politics with our father’s whereabouts, Nnamdi Kanu’s family, traditional prime minister warn Ikpeazu

Steve Oko,Umuahia, Published on | The Biafra Times

October 11, 2018

The family of the missing Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has cautioned Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu not to play politics with the whereabouts of their father and the traditional ruler of Isiama-Afaraukwu autonomous community, HRM Eze Israel Kanu.

The warning is coming on heels of a comment credited to Ikpeazu when some people from the community paid him courtesy visit at the Government House Umuahia.

Ikpeazu had reportedly told his guests that the state Government was making efforts in collaboration with other South East Governors to ensure that the monarch is re-united with his subjects soon.
He also said that contrary to misconception in some quarters, he had no hands in the military invasion of the community during the Operation Python Dance ll.

The whereabouts of Eze Kanu, his wife Lolo Sally, and son, Nnamdi Kanu has remained unknown since after the September 14, 2017 military raid on his palace that also claimed scores of IPOB members and Biafra agitators.
In a swift reaction to the Governor’s comments, Spokesman of the family and Kanu’s youngest brother, Prince Emmanuel Kanu told Ikpeazu to “look for better ways of entertaining his guests and not use Kanu as a campaign slogan for his re-election bid”

He cautioned Ikpeazu to be mindful of his utterances concerning the whereabouts of the monarch and other family members yet to be sighted since after the military raid on the palace last year.
The family Spokesman wondered why “the Governor who has not thought it wise to visit the family since one year our father, mother and brother got disappeared suddenly made their matter a campaign tool’.
He said Ikpeazu should leave the Kanu family out of his second term project, and dismissed the Governor’s comment as an afterthought.
Prince Kanu said no amount of hypocrisy would exonerate Ikpeazu and his South East counterparts from culpability over the invitation of the military for a Python Dance Operation in the zone last year.
He said “Ikpeazu should not think we can be easily deceived by hiring supporters from our community to visit him in Government House and making flowery comments about our family”.

According to him, “the prevailing hunger in the land had made it easy to recruit people to sing ones praises for peanuts”
Prince Kanu who claimed the Governor mobilized the visitors with N2 million blamed their action on hunger and poverty.

He wondered why the Governor would be promising to collaborate with his South East counterparts to help locate the missing monarch only few months to election year.
Kanu’s brother said anybody who participated in the said visit was part of the conspiracy that led to the military invasion of the community, adding that “the blood of all the victims of the raid is upon them”

Meanwhile, the Traditional Prime Minister of the community, Chief Odoemelam Chimechefulam, has dissociated himself from the visit by some members of the community to Gov. Ikpeazu.
He said that those who visited the Governor did so in their personal capacity and never had the mandate of the community to embark on the journey.
He said that he heard that a group of people was being mobilized to visit the Governor but decided not to join them because the community was still in mournful mood following the disappearance of their Traditional Ruler, since after the military raid of his palace.

Chimechefulam said he found it strange and a grievous sin against the land to visit the Governor who is yet to identify with the community over their missing traditional ruler one year after.
He said Isiama-Afaraukwu community “is the land lord” of the Abia seat of power, and deserves Government sympathy and consolation over the ordeal.
His word: “When I heard some people mobilizing to visit the Governor I said I won’t be part of it. Why will I go to wine and dine with him when I have not seen my traditional ruler more than one year the community was invaded by the Army?
“Our community is the landlord of the Government House but the Governor has never visited us over our woes.
“We have been in pains since after the military invaded us last year. All the houses near Eze Kanu’s palace now have leaky roofs because of the army bullets that rained on them like water.

“Since then neither the Governor nor the Federal Government has visited us to know how we are faring. We are victims of the military raid.
“So, what is the essence of the visit? Those who went to see him were on their own. Don’t forget that this is a political season and individuals have the right to express themselves.”
In the same vein, the President General of the community, Chief Ikechukwu Ndubueze dismissed the visit and all that transpired in it as “PDP affair”

Ndubueze who also dissociated himself from the visit said “what happened was that members of the Peoples Democratic Party in the community went to see the Governor who is their party man”
He said they never had the authorization of the community on the visit and that “whatever they told the Governor was purely their party affair”.
