Angry reactions trail killing of IPOB members in Enugu
10:36:00 - 0 Comments
August 24, 2020 | The Biafra Times
Angry reactions have started trailing the reported killing of members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, in Enugu. All the respondents, who spoke to Vanguard in Owerri, were unanimous in their belief that the dead were first Ndigbo before being members of IPOB. They also described the incident as “senseless and condemnable, especially as IPOB members are usually unarmed”.
Reacting, an Owerri based legal practitioner, Mr Aloy Ejimakor, said the wrong branding of the dead was deceptive and a diversionary tactic to simply write off the dead as IPOB members, instead of Ndigbo. His words: “Forget IPOB. They are Ndigbo. It is completely deceptive and a diversionary tactic to simply write off the dead as IPOB members, instead of Ndigbo. Whoever takes the life of an IPOB member is taking the life of an Igbo and therefore will ultimately account to Ndigbo.”
According to the lawyer, “when I read about the senseless killing of unarmed innocents, who gathered in Enugu on August 23, 2020, in peaceable exercise of their constitutional rights, I quickly began to search the news to learn more and I learnt plenty, including particularly, the somewhat dismissive refrain that those killed are just IPOB members.”
While arguing that they might be IPOB members, Ejimakor, however, said: “Everybody in the former Eastern Nigeria, who disagrees with what has become Nigeria, is an IPOB member, overtly or covertly”. “They don’t have to carry a registration card for you to be certain that they are IPOB members. All you need to do is to talk with them to convince yourself that they are IPOB members. “An IPOB member is simply any Eastern Nigerian, especially the Igbo, who will rather have Biafra than a Nigeria that eats her children, especially her Igbo children. And they are in the millions. “They are legion. Some are above ground. Some are in sleeper cells and they are not miscreants. They are the Igbo gentry, the elites, the masses, warts and all.
“The Igbo remains an Igbo for now and forever, alive or dead. Nobody can change that. No subliminal narrative of just IPOB can change that.” Another IPOB loyalist, who simply identified himself as Chikerem, urged the security agencies to “stop branding people IPOB when they know that the killing and maiming unarmed Ndigbo”. Chikerem also reasoned that those killed were Ndigbo before becoming IPOB members, adding that “it beats my imagination why the Nigerian government has disdain for Ndigbo, but relentlessly want to keep us in Nigeria”. Answering a question, Chikerem said that there was no way anybody can detach IPOB members from Ndigbo, who are not terrorists but are treated and branded as such.
For Nkemdiri Osukaku, “Igbo life is precious, inalienable and the blood of an IPOB member is not less precious than that of any other Igbo man or woman”. He appealed to the security agencies to face the dreaded Boko Haram, ISWAP and other deadly insurgents that are terrorizing the citizenry, instead of running after unarmed agitators of a free Biafra.

NAF’s Failed Attempt to Deny Supplying Weapons to Fulani Herdsmen in Enugu
06:12:00 - 0 Comments
June 27, 2019
By ELUWA Chidiebere Chinazu | Biafra Writers
The Biafra Times roving news crew gathered that the Nigerian Air Force was seen dropping weapons in Akwuke forest in Enugu state. As is expected, however, the Air Force has denied it.
Of course, no rational being would expect the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) to concede that it supplied weapons to a known terrorist organization. Nevertheless, NAF’s denial is akin to Jubril’s response in Poland, “it's the real me.” The reports from Middle Belt about the army aiding and escorting the murderous herdsmen lend credence to the claims of Enugu indigenes.
While making the denial, NAF, however, admitted sending soldiers to Akwuke forest in Enugu. In the statement of denial, the acting Command Public Relations and Information Officer of Headquarters NAF Ground Training Command (GTC), Enugu, Faith Aigbeoghain, said, “The attention of Headquarters GTC of Nigerian Air Force, Enugu, has been drawn to a social media and online story being circulated by some mischievous and misguided elements. The mischievous elements purported that NAF helicopters were being used to `drop weapons’ for Fulani herdsmen in the forest area of Akwuke Community in Enugu South Local Government Area in Enugu State. The report alleged that helicopters had been seen on several occasions flying at a low level and landing in the forest area to discharge their packages. The headquarters of GTC wishes to state that the report is deliberately misleading and obviously concocted by the writer to cause disaffection and incite negative divisive emotions among Nigerians.”
Making her denial seamless, Aigbeoghain said, “NAF has two helicopter training institutions under its purview operating in Enugu for several years. These are International Helicopter Flying School (IHFS) and 405 Helicopter Combat Training Group (405 HCTG), whose training curricula include low level flying around the forest areas near Akwuke which is one of their designated training areas.”
Ventilating the NAF press statement one can see lies upon lies contained therein. According to NAF, these two helicopters have been training in that particular forest for several years now. If so, how come the people are not used to the training helicopters landing in that particular forest? Before now no alarm has been raised in Enugu about the landing of a training helicopter; how come the sudden alarm?
Well, the people have not forgotten that the Nigerian military denied invading the residence of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. The people saw arms being dropped from the helicopters secretly in the forest for the marauding herdsmen. That this happened at a time the herders are threatening to overrun Biafra-land leaves nothing to be imagined. The pictorial evidence provided by Akwuke indigenes made it impossible for NAF to deny sending helicopters to that forest, and so they concocted the story of training in the forest.
It should be remembered that when the people of Middle Belt raised a similar alarm, it was dismissed as false alarm; yet, it turned out to claim thousands of lives. In the same manner, Biafrans are crying out today. They have been crying out for long, have been ignored and have been done a terrible hand by Islamic jihadists in the guise of Fulani herders. The world should come to our rescue, please.

Extortion, brutality by police worst in south east - NHRC gives verdict
02:31:00 - 0 Comments
The Biafra Times | April 30, 2019
- National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) says police brutality and extortion are highest in the south east
- The NHRC and other organisations accuse policemen of terrorising the same people they are supposed to protect
- Segun Awosanya wants every policeman to undergo mental evaluation before being posted Brutality and extortion by men of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) are most common in the south east, the zone’s coordinator of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Uche Nwokocha, has said.
Nwokocha raised the alarm about alleged police brutality, abuse, intimidation and extortion in the zone noting that the officers in the area had now constituted themselves into a terror group.
Speaking during public tribunal on police corruption, brutally and abuse in southern Nigeria in Owerri, capital of Imo state, she said: “Police corruption, abuse and brutality have become more pervasive in the south east.

“There is high level of impunity and extortion, with illegal checkpoints at every one pole and those who refuse to give in to the extortion by these armed policemen would be severely manhandled.”
According to her, some unfortunate ones have ended up being killed and, thereafter, framed as armed robbers.
She insisted that the anti-kidnapping, anti-cultism and the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) have all become agents of terror.
“The extra-judicial killings by officers of the SARS is frightening and efforts by the NHRC and the Network of Police Reforms in Nigeria (NOPRIN) to get the police accountable for these extra-judicial killings have failed.
“In most cases, the police will lie that the culprit has been dismissed, when, in fact, they have been transferred,” she said while describing SARS as being used as debt collectors, for settlement of land and even family disputes, which are supposed to be simply civil matters.

In his observation, the national coordinator of #EndSARS, Segun Awosanya, said the officers in the unit have constituted themselves into an organised crime syndicate, who are above the law.
“Our police system has been operating under the oppressive act of 1943 and, until that act is repealed and replaced with a more progressive one that is in tandem with the administration of criminal justice.
“Today, what we have as police officers are people who constitute themselves into an organised crime syndicate that are above the law and that is why we are calling for the scrapping of SARS or its total overhauling,” he said.
He urged that police officers should be subjected to psychological evaluation because, “you don’t give a gun to a man that is mentally unbalanced.

•Hotel manager beaten to pulp; 3 others still in detention as herdsmen alleges N500,000 theft
•14 released on bail with over N70,000 each
•It’s illegal - Villagers cries out, demands justice
•As fear, anxiety grows over possible herdsmen attack
By Chukwuemeka Chimerue, Chief Editor | The Biafra Times
August 2, 2018
ENUGU - Residents of Amoji, Nenwe community in Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu State has expressed serious anger, bitterness and dissatisfaction over the recent arrest of some members of their community by operatives of Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, FSARS, of the Nigeria Police Force for merely attempting to drive away troublesome Fulani herdsmen from their community.
According to reliable reports gathered by our Correspondent who visited the scene, on July 29, 2018, some Fulani herders, along with their cattle and numbering up to ten, entered the community and settled there without identifying with the hosts/villagers.
Fearing that the presence of the strange, uninvited Fulani guests spelt an impending doom and threat to lives and properties of the villagers, the youths of the community quickly mobilised and attempted to drive away the herders whose cows had already begun destroying crops and farm produce in their farmlands.
However, in a revolt, the herdsmen who resisted various pleas to vacate the community in peace, resorted to violence, brandishing dangerous weapons which forced the youths of the community to retreat as some ran into a nearby hotel for safety.

As the dust raised by the rampaging herdsmen is yet to settle, they colluded and went to report the matter to some FSARS agents who stormed the community with the herders and arrested 18 villagers.
Among those arrested were Mr. Solomon Nwonye, the manager of Unity Hotel and Suites, Nenwe. Nwonye was arrested along with two staffs of the hotel and one other whom were pointed out to the FSARS operatives by the herders, while 14 other members of the community are now cooling off at their station in 9th-mile axis of the state.
But at the time of filing this report, the 14 detained villagers has been granted bail with over N70,000 leaving behind only Nwoye, two members of his staff, and one other accused individual.
It was further gathered that as a condition for his release, Nwonye was asked to pay the sum of N500,000 alleged by the Fulani herdsmen to have been stolen from them at the time an altercation broke out between them and youths of the community on 30th July 2018.
“They bailed some yesterday but the main people the Fulani herdsmen accused being the manager of the hotel with his two workers which those Fulani said that those guys that came to attack them ran inside the hotel are still there at Federal SARS station,” our source who pleaded anonymity revealed.
“Each person was bailed with more than seventy thousand naira. The Fulani are claiming that they had and lost half a million naira that was with them when the issue started.
“So, they said that the hotel manager should provide the money. They held him, they are still beating him to pulp there. The family of the manager is still running around to provide the money so they can come back and bail him.
“The manager was well beaten by the FSARS because the Aboki (Fulani herdsmen) said that those guys ran inside his hotel,” our source added.
It’s illegal - Villagers laments, calls for justice
Meanwhile, the inhabitants of Nenwe community has decried against what they described as illegal, high-handedness and height of unprofessionalism exhibited by operatives of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad whom they accused of prompting to action without carrying out a proper investigation in the matter.
Speaking to our correspondent on Wednesday, the aggrieved members of the community who yearned for justice to prevail said their biased action in wading into the matter without getting a first hand information of what actually transpired rendered credence to the general notion that federal security agencies are indeed colluding and assisting murderous killer herdsmen to perpetrate crimes in the society.
The villagers who were gripped by fear and anxiety over possible herdsmen attack, however, resolved that they won’t fold their arms and watch killer herdsmen invade their communities to perpetrate heinous crimes without resistance or self-defense, even as they noted that the Enugu State Police Command Headquarters are unaware of what transpired in the community.

“The Federal SARS agents has no clear picture of what happened in our community on that day but they quickly came to assist those Fulani herdsmen who have been terrorising our farmlands and destroying our crops. That is the issue we always have with them.
“Why would they arrest innocent citizens who are merely defending themselves while at the other hand, protecting and giving succour to terrorist herdsmen who are armed with various lethal weapons? That is very illegal, biased and unprofessional for an acclaimed security officer to do.
“First of all, we searched for our arrested people in all the Enugu state police station and posts, not knowing that they (FSARS) didn’t even inform the State police commissioner before the arrest. We later managed to see them at FSARS office at 9th mile. This is again, an illegal thing to do and we are saying that justice should be served.
“These cattle rearers they are protecting, didn’t they know how they have been killing, maiming and terrorising citizens of this country? They are living there (pointing to a bush) in Nenwe. We also know they might attack us anytime soon because I believe that the Fulanis will still come after issues to know what we will do,” a village elder cum leader who spoke on condition of anonymity stated.

Herdsmen Killings: Ohanaeze blows alarm over impending attacks on Enugu communities
14:01:00 - 0 Comments
...Says Miyetti Allah’s allegations, unsubstantiated
By Chukwuemeka Chimerue, Chief Editor, The Biafra Times
July 6, 2018
ENUGU - The leadership of the Enugu State chapter of the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has raised alarm over plans by killer Fulani herdsmen to attack some communities in the State.
In a press statement released on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, and signed by its state president, Chief Chiedozie Alex Ogbonnia, the umbrella Igbo group accused the leadership of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association in the State for spearheading the impending attack over unsubstantiated claims of theft of cows and death of some herders.
It stated that the areas tipped for attack by the herdsmen includes Amagunze, Okpanku and Affa communities, adding that it has already alerted security agencies and other similar bodies in the state to swing into action.
The statement reads that: “In the past couple of days, we have been treated to a cocktail of killings by Fulani herdsmen in several places in the Middle Belt region of Nigeria particularly the latest carnage in Plateau State. While we condemn this wanton destruction of life and property of innocent Nigerians by bands of suspected Fulani herdsmen, we are more worried that the Federal Government and indeed the entire security architecture in the country have done very little to stop this menace.
READ ALSO: Biafra: Restructuring Or Referendum? A Critical Look Towards Solving The Issue Of Agitations In Nigeria
“It is indeed disturbing that many communities in Nigeria are now potential targets for these herdsmen. Because the Federal Government and the security network have been less than effective in containing this mayhem and these herdsmen appear emboldened to put so many communities at risk.
“Today, more than ever before, Fulani herdsmen have shown brazen disregard to people’s farmlands and crops as they move about with their herds of cattle.
“Enugu State, once a theatre of this carnage, is at present, come under the murderous radar of these herdsmen again. As at today, no fewer than five communities are living in fear of herdsmen attack because of one allegation or the other by the leadership of Miyetti Allah in Enugu.
“Their latest allegation is that some persons suspected to be Fulani herdsmen were killed or that some of their cows are missing.
“At present, Amagunze community in Nkanu-East Local Government Area, Okpanku in Aninri Local Government Area and Affa community in Udi Local Government Area all in Enugu State are at grave risk and danger of herdsmen attack following allegations by the leadership of Miyetti Allah that some of their cows are missing in these communities and that some Fulani were killed.
“Affa community, for instance, has been mandated by these herdsmen to pay a ransom of N2 million as compensation for the alleged missing cows out of which N600,000 has been paid.

“It is on the basis of the foregoing that we call the attention of the Federal Government, Enugu State Government, the Nigerian Army (especially 82 Division of the Nigerian Army), Enugu State Police Command, the Department of State Services (DSS), and other security agencies in the country, especially in Enugu State, to the impending danger of massive attack by these Fulani herdsmen on some communities in Enugu State.”
Ogbonnia stressed that though none of these allegations by Miyetti Allah leadership in Enugu had been substantiated, “it is remarkable that this was the same flimsy reason given for the gruesome attack in Nimbo community in 2016.
“As was the case at that time, the government and security network were forewarned about the attack but nothing was done to avert it. It is on account of this that we are hereby putting both the Enugu State and Federal Governments and the entire security apparatus both in Enugu State and the country at large on high alert of the impending assault by these Fulani herdsmen on some communities in Enugu State.
“Ohanaeze Ndigbo Enugu wishes to warn that it would not tolerate any more shedding of blood in Enugu State or any part of Igboland on account of Fulani herdsmen.
“Our position on grazing ranches is very clear. In truth, since 2015 nothing has happened in Nigeria that seems to attenuate our position on the rejection of grazing ranches in Igboland and we cannot abdicate our land for any such purpose,” he stated.

Outrage as NSCDC officials opens fire on commuters in Enugu

...Death toll rises to 8 as Police intervenes
...We won’t give up until justice is served— protesting bus drivers
By Chukwuemeka Chimerue, Chief Editor, The Biafra Times
March 23, 2018
ENUGU— Heavy protests by irate youths broke out yesterday in Enugu at the popular Milliken Hill after several passengers met their untimely death following gunshots fired at a moving commercial transit bus by an operative of the National Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC.
The commercial vehicle which later got mesmerized in an inferno with shattered widescreens and glasses caused by the trigger-happy civil defense officials, was heading towards Ngwo Community; a suburb in Enugu metropolis.
One of the protesters, a commercial bus driver who spoke with our Correspondent, said they are not giving up until justice is served in the case involving the NSCDC officials who fired the shot.
According to an eyewitness, it has not been long the commercial bus left the popular Enugu New Market, when armed civil defence officials asked the driver of the bus to terminate further movements.
However, the driver allegedly refused to halt as demanded and sped-off while the NSCDC officials chased the bus on their Hilux van.

On getting to the end of the road, the civil defence officers opened fire on the commercial bus, causing the driver to veer-off the track and crash into the deep valley.
“Trouble began when a bus driver allegedly stopped and picked a passenger from a spot that was considered unlawful and when NSCDC officials accosted him, he zoomed off.
“The bus was chased by the NSCDC officials in a tricycle and it burst into flames when it felled into a ditch.
“Right inside the valley, the vehicle bursted into a huge fire, leading to death of about eight passengers in the vehicle,” the eyewitness claimed.
The unfortunate development sparked wide protests by the association of commercial bus drivers and other residents of Ngwo community whom were dispersed by barricades and gunshots fired in the air by officials of NSCDC as they ventured towards their headquarters located near New Market.
The burnt remains of a passenger, one of the victims of the incident, was seen trapped under the vehicle, which was lying on its back inside the valley while the only surviving lady was taken to an undisclosed hospital by the Police where she is currently receiving treatment.
An official of the Federal Road Safety Corps, who was at the scene of the crash, informed our correspondent that the remains of some other passengers who died in the crash were moved to an undisclosed hospital morgue.
A towing van was eventually brought to lift the commercial vehicle, after which the trapped, burnt remains of the last passenger was recovered and moved by an ambulance to the morgue of Eastern Nigeria Medical Center, Enugu.

Police intervenes as protests rises, says we’ll bring perpetrators to book
Meanwhile, the Enugu State Police Command has said it has commenced investigation into the alleged killing of a commuter by an official of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Ebere Amaraizu, disclosed in Enugu on Thursday that the incident took place at about 10 a.m. on Thursday.
It took the intervention of the Commissioner of Police, Mr Mohammed Danmallam and other top functionaries of the state to restore normalcy to the New Market Road.
Danmallam’s arrival saved the situation as commuters were all trapped as angry residents barricaded the New Market Road.
Briefing newsmen shortly after calming down the protesters, the commissioner described the incident as unfortunate.
He said that the police would not allow anyone to jeopardize the peace in Enugu State.
“What happened is very unfortunate, especially with the peace we are enjoying in the state. This kind of thing should not be allowed.
“Investigation has started. We asked people who witnessed what happened to come forward and give us discreet statement, which will help in our investigation.
“We are assuring them that whoever is involved is going to be brought to book.’’

In a statement released to newsmen by the Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Ebere Amarizu, stated that only eleven IPOB members were arrested.

“They were nabbed based on intelligence information gathered which guided the operatives on the successful operations carried out.
“Those arrested are helping the operatives in their investigations in relation to their alleged nefarious activities and will be arraigned properly in a law court after investigations are concluded.”
However, one of the arrested Biafra activists who spoke to our Correspondent on Wednesday insisted that contrary to the claim by the State Police that only eleven activists were apprehended yesterday, they were actually twelve in number whom would be arraigned this morning before the State Magistrate Court.

He also added that they have not committed any known offence against the law that could warrant the brutal attack and arrest launched against them by the Police, hoping that the court would grant them bail.

February 27, 2018
ENUGU - Some family members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, were on Tuesday, reportedly arrested in Enugu by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force.
According to our Correspondent, the apprehended IPOB members whose number cannot be immediately ascertained were swooped on by agents of State Police shortly after dignitaries of the Eastern Consultative Assembly, ECA, dispersed from their meeting premises at the Universal Hotel, Enugu.
It was further noted that an altercation erupted at the meeting following an announcement by Mr. Elliot Ugochukwu-Uko, Secretary of ECA, who proceeded to award posthumously, the late former president of Nigeria and Pioneer of Nigeria's independence Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe.

The agitators who expressed their dissatisfaction with the move, berated the dignitaries as they chanted "All we want is Biafra" which caused rowdiness in the meeting hall.
One of the agitators who spoke to our Correspondent said that honouring the late Azikiwe who fought for the unity of Nigeria when he was alive, was not part of the programmes of the event.
According to him, "We are not here to award Nnamdi Azikiwe who fought for Nigeria's independence and unity which has caused us misery and turned us into slaves in Nigeria. We are disappointed with what happened at the meeting today."
It was further gathered that some persons may have sustained injuries while scampering for safety as operatives of the Nigeria Police fired teargas canisters and shot severally on the air to disperse the gathering which has since turned rowdy.
Some arrests of members interviewing people were equally made and taken to their yet-to-be ascertained station as armed security agents violently descended on some group of people standing outside the meeting premises.

Inside Report: The Infamous Sins Of Anambra SARS Agency

•An eyewitness/victim narrates his ordeal on the sore and sour story of Anambra SARS

•Inmates are being asphyxiated, organs harvested and extrajudicially executed at nights— Witness
By Princewill Akubumma || Reporting For Biafra Writers
December 22, 2017
ANAMBRA— SARS, acronym of Special Anti-Robbery Squad, has, for too long, been a sore and sour point in Nigeria's security apparatus system. Following sustained and collective outcry against acts of impunity by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), the presidency and the Police top hierarchy have recently reacted to calls by Nigerians on the social media platforms for the scrapping of SARS.
Among the allegations against SARS operatives were complaints of wanton and illegal arrests, execution of extra-judicial killings, physical assaults, intimidation, accusations of fraud and forcefully dispossessing people of their money and property, amongst other vices.
However, some of these outrageous and devastating acts of terror that have been and are being meted out to innocent citizens by the rampaging operatives of SARS are normally instigated by fellow Nigerians against one another.

For instance, there are cases involving recovery of simple debts which have nothing to do with crime being reported to SARS by another more powerful and highly connected Nigerian for urgent acidic and devastating action. Yet, SARS, ever ready to do the bidding of the money bags, deservedly end up being the fall guy.
Today, in Nigeria, a lot of atrocities has been happening under the watch of our so-called political leaders who always feings ignorance, allowing evil to be continually perpetrated against the common and less-privileged persons in the society who does not have anyone to speak for them. But Biafra Writers who strongly subscribes to collection of facts and investigative journalism is here to expose such evil and let it known to the world that the Nigerian security agencies especially the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), remains the most deadly terror group in Subsahara Africa.
An adage has it that evil will prevail if the righteous many keeps silence over the evil deeds of the wicked few. If we did not have a justice system that does not appear to easily recognise the rights of ordinary peasant citizens and remedy their violations with promptitude, the urgent and inescapable need for restructuring SARS might not have arisen at all. Though the wheels of justice grind slowly, Justice, a destination is always assured.

The interview below was granted to our Correspondent in Anambra State by an eyewitness who narrated his sordid and painful encounter in the hands of the Anambra State chapter of the SARS agency, located at Awkuzu in Oyi Local Government Area.
Mr. Nwodo Johnson(real names withheld for security reasons) arrived our newsroom on Sunday, December 3, 2017, by 11:00am with a heavy heart and tears flowing down his cheeks. Regaining calmness after a period of time, he narrated how it all happened when he found himself in the custody of the SARS.
Excerpts:
Good morning Mr. Nwodo, you are welcome to Biafra Times/Writers' newsroom. You appeared to be crying as you came in, what is wrong?
I am crying because of what a fellow man is doing to another. I can't bear this anymore, this wickedness is too much. People are dying everyday at the hands of these criminals they called SARS and nobody is reporting it in the news.
Please, could you calm down so we can understand what exactly happened. What took you to SARS?
...(digressing a bit). Please I need you to give me the phone number with which to contact Radio Biafra London. I would like to speak directly with Mazi Uche Mefor after this interview, I want the whole world to know what evil these SARS are perpetrating on daily basis here in Anambra state.

Mr. Nwodo, we understand how you feel, but you have to calm down and inform us on exactly what happened in SARS after which we give you the number you requested.
I had a misunderstanding with someone I did business with. My business is buying and selling. This person brought me goods to help him sell, and afterwards, we had a little misconception about how much I sold the goods, and so, he rejected the amount of money I actually sold the goods and rather decided to join issues with me. All of a sudden, he went and invited the SARS from Nneni station who came to my shop on November 25th and took me to their station.
Where is the SARS station in Nneni located and what happened when you got to the station?
The station is very close to where Chief Anthony Erukeme's (a.k.a Toni Mas) Aluminum factory was built at Umudioka village along St. James Catholic Church Nneni in Anaocha local government area of Anambra state.
What do you know is the connection of Tonimas to the SARS station in Nneni?
Chief Anthony Erukeme, popularly known as Tonimas, is a great business man who deals on oil and gas with many production factories in Anambra state. It was him who built the SARS station and handed it over to the then Anambra police commissioner.
So what was your experience when you arrived the station?
I saw hell! That hell which was been talked about is actually in the custody of these murderers. The inhumane torturing is very high in the SARS station. There are two cells there in Nneni SARS, cell 1 and cell 2.
The SARS officers in Nneni controls the cell 1, while the cell 2 is an affiliate of Awkuzu SARS station. It is in the cell 2 that the hell I talked about was taking place. The inmates of cell 2 are passing through hell, they were brutally tortured and starved to the point where they keep begging those in cell 1 to sweep the crumbs of bread that fell down on their contaminated floor for them to eat in order to have something in their stomachs. They even drag dirty empty satchets of water among themselves which has been sucked dry and thrown to them from cell 1.

Many died out of hunger and out of contraction of diseases always in cell 2. Someone even died and was taken away the day I arrived.
This is very pathetic. From your explanations, it appears you were in cell 1, and can clearly see the occupants of cell 2. Could you tell us the proximity between these two cells?
Yes. I was lucky to find myself in cell 1. There is a passageway that separates the two cells which faces each other directly from the left to the right and each cell has a heavy iron bars that barricades the inmates in both cells from movement.
Could you tell us the maximum number of people in each cell, was the cells spacious enough?
(With shaky voice and bitterness, he broke down in tears and continued).
Each cell has a minimum of 80 to 100 men confined in one tiny room without much ventilation which also has a toilet inside each of them. Spreading of diseases and contamination is very common there. So, if someone did not die at the hands of the SARS, he will definitely die from contracting diseases, this is the situation going on there.
Is there anything else you would want us to know?
Yes of course! The moment a new person is abducted and brought in, the whole inmates will swarm on you like bees, they all will be full of enthusiasm to know whether your people was aware you were there. If then the answer was yes, then they will heave a sigh of relief and begin to tell you their ordeals and as well give you their home addresses and phone numbers of their families begging you to go and inform them about where they are kept incommunicado since their abduction because they believe that since for the fact that your own family knew you were brought there, they must come for your bail out soon.

Does that mean the officers on duty doesn't allow those inmates to communicate with their families?
Yes, they do not allow anyone to have possession of his phone. The moment you were brought in there, they will strip you naked and take all your belongings including your phones and wallets and any particulars found on you even ID cards. They will collect all these things, preventing you from communicating with the outside world. It is really terrible indeed.
A young boy called Promise with his friend who was with him when they were abducted together from Awada around 8:00pm, some few months ago were among the many others that gave me their family's contact addresses. But unfortunately, this Promise and his friend and one other man was among the people killed that very night of Tuesday, November 28, 2017, after he (Mr. Promise) has written his address and handed to me from cell 2 that afternoon and was begging me to make sure I meet his people before his demise in the following evening.
Promise asked me to visit his brother, Mr. Okechukwu Olisa who lives and trades on tomatoes and beverages at Onitsha.
When I asked Promise his brother's phone number, he broke down in tears because he couldn't remember the digits anymore which is why he didn't include it in the address he gave to me.
Also, one Mr. Njoku from Imo State but resides in Port Harcourt gave me a phone number to call his family and inform them about his whereabouts. He told me he went to Upper Iweka Onitsha for a waybill that should be delivered to his customer the next morning at Abuja before he was abducted near the flyover that fateful evening and was taken to Awkuzu SARS station and from there to Nneni station after spending three months without anybody being aware of his whereabout.

One other person was Mr. Obinna who resides at Fegge Onitsha, but hails from Oraeri in Anambra State. He has spent four months at Awkuzu SARS before being transferred to Nneni SARS station.
What effort have you made to contact any of these people's families?
I have called the family of Mr. Njoku and his wife was weeping over the phone and told me they had searched everywhere for his husband to no avail. Right now, she is going through court processes to have her husband bailed. I have equally visited the family of Mr. Obinna at Fegge Onitsha and narrated the story of how I met their son in the cell and they too are making plans to have him bailed out before it is too late.
Could you explain the circumstances leading to the extrajudicial executions of Mr. Promise and other inmates as stated earlier?
Yes, Promise, his friend and one other man was killed on the night of November 28, 2017. The Chief SARS officer who was on duty that very night was known as Eze, who hails from Nsukka in Enugu state. I didn't have the opportunity to inquire about his rank, but the way his name was been mentioned often made me to realized that he was the man in charge that night the killing took place.
The real incident took place around 11:30pm when we started hearing sounds of vehicles trooping into the station and those inmates in Cell 2 who has become very familiar with every moves in the station told us that the vehicles trooping in was from Awkuzu SARS station. They stated that it is either they are bringing in new inmates from Awkuzu SARS station or they have come to take some people to be killed that very night.
Being a new person there, I didn't quite understood what they were talking about until it happened right in my face but all I could remember was that if any inmate was taken out from the Cell 2 at night, no one will ever see him again, meaning that they would kill and bury his corpse. Moments later, we started hearing footsteps in the passage and shouts of commands by the SARS officers ordering everyone to lie down facing the ground.

So, we all laid down with our faces on the ground but I managed to keep peeping on them to see what happens, and I found out that these soulless men were all wearing masks on their faces during the operation, it was then that I realized that they have something sinister other than cell routine checking.
They took three inmates which included Promise and two others. As they were been led out to the passageway, I raised my head a bit and discovered that their hands were tied to their backs and their faces covered with polythene bags.
Few minutes after they left, some inmates started crying especially from Cell 2 because they knew that was the end of those their fellow inmates. They knows what fate befalls their inmates that night. They went on to explain to me that the SARS officers does not kill their victims with guns to avoid suspicion from the neighborhood, they usually strangles them with the polythene bags covering their faces, making breathing difficult for them. They also stab them with dagger to make the process faster before they cut open their bodies, probably harvest their organs before throwing them into a pit at the back of the dungeon and finally pouring raw acid on the corpses.
We kept hearing soft sounds of groaning and landing blows from the outside until around 4:00am when the operation was apparently over.
It was then that the vehicles carrying those murderers started leaving the compound. And I never set my eyes on Promise and the other two even after I was released.
Biafra Writers investigation into this heinous crime has come out with the secret system of killing used by these criminals in police uniforms.

OUR FINDINGS:
1) The Nneni SARS dungeon was the product of the mastermind of Chief Anthony Erukeme a.k.a Tonimas who built the station singlehandedly for the Nneni SARS and instructed them to avoid bringing Nneni people to the dungeon for whatever reason.
2) The Awkuzu SARS unit uses the Cell 2 of the dungeon in Nneni station as the dumping ground where for victims whose whereabouts was still unknown to their people for a period of 3 to 4 months after which they will be killed. This explains the reason why the inmates of cell 2 are always starved because they see it as a waste of money to keep feeding them since they will be eventually executed by the SARS operatives for their own dirty business of harvesting and selling their organs.
3) Having noticed that people are now aware of the inhumane torturing going on at Awkuzu SARS station, they usually transfer those abducted usually by night to that remote dungeon at Nneni village in Anaocha local government area of Anambra State where they occasionally carry out their killings by night.
4) The Nneni SARS officers and their Awkuzu counterparts are working in unison in the perpetration of these many heinous crimes but the Awkuzu SARS officers takes precedence over the crime taking place there.
5) Harvesting and selling of human organs for economic purposes, is done on regular basis between the SARS officers and their unknown customers who buys the human organs.
6) Strangling and stabbing with daggers and pouring of raw decomposing acid are among many inhumane tortures going on in both Awkuzu and Nneni SARS stations.
7) Chief Anthony Erukeme a.k.a Tonimas has some cases to answer in this ongoing crime because the way he is being hailed and welcomed with gun salute by the SARS officers whenever he visits his factory, is questionable.

An eyewitness who pleaded anonymity revealed that he (Chief Anthony Erukeme) was sighted along the Nneni SARS station on December 1st, 2017, just two days after the killing of Promise and others took place, when he visited his factory. The eyewitness narrated how the officers welcomed him with shouts and many gun salutes which according to him, was more than the usual way they welcomes him.
Biafra Writers are by this report making it known to the entire public more especially the Anambra citizens to hold the State Commissioner of Police and all the SARS officers in the state responsible for these barbaric crimes.
Recall that a reputable world human rights body, Amnesty International, through her report few months ago indicted the SARS officers in Nigeria of enriching themselves from extortion and bribes. This latest investigation from Biafra Writers journalists is a more far cry to the testament of the real truth contained in Amnesty report. It has exposed even more, the infamous and shady dealings of the SARS officers in Nigeria and the source of their inordinate and illegitimate source of wealth.
It is now obvious their source of income is sometimes being generated from no other means than money gotten from the illegal trafficking of human organs being harvested from innocent citizens of the country who fell victims to the SARS operatives.
Biafra Writers is by this report, calling on all humanity to rise and #EndSars.

IPOB: We can’t forget Biafra, step down now or risk Nigeria’s unity— Prophet Nwoko challenges Buhari, Nwodo
05:45:00 - 2 Comments
…Says God, using Biafra to sweep out evil from Nigeria
By Chukwuemeka Chimerue || Chief Editor, The Biafra Times
November 23, 2017
ENUGU— Renowned Enugu-based spiritual leader, Prophet Anthony Nwoko, has reacted to statements credited to President Muhammadu Buhari during his recent working visit to Ebonyi State that the people of the Southeast should not accede to demands for the restoration of the Sovereign State of Biafra as championed by the Indigeneous People of Biafra, IPOB.
Speaking at the Abakaliki Township Stadium, as part of programmes lined up for his one-day visit to Ebonyi State, President Buhari asked Igbos to work for the country’s unity, saying the agitation for the realisation of Biafra was “a senseless propaganda” being promoted by “some misguided youths” in the region.
Reacting however, the fiery prophet who prophesied that the incumbent Willie Obiano will be returned as the last governor of Anambra state, told Buhari not to rejoice yet, adding that Biafra remains in the hearts of Easterners and that nothing would change or remove that fact, including the proscription of IPOB.

Nwoko who also challenged the President of the apex Igbo socio-cultural group, Chief John Nnia Nwodo, on his position that Biafra agitators should forget Biafra and embrace restructuring, gave Buhari two options to either resign immediately from his position as president of the country or risk Nigeria’s unity.
According to Nwoko, “Buhari should not rejoice yet that he has defeated Biafra as no one can change the word of God. His words must be fulfilled. The proscription of IPOB cannot end Biafra. In fact, that proscription is an act of God to bring down His glory to the people of Biafra. The government must remember Moses in the Bible, Joshua and Caleb, in the roles they played.
“The Buhari-led government has no spiritual backing or power to kill or destroy the Son of Man, the second time in Biafra nation.
“There are two options for Buhari. One, he must step down now for the glory of Christ from the Southeast which has emerged as the light of the world and as the President of the Presidents or Biafrans will say 'bye-bye' to Nigeria and use their birthright glory from above to save their father’s land and get to the promised land. He must step down if he wants unity.

“I want Buhari to know that God is a consuming fire. No nation or individual has fought Him and lived to tell the story. Buhari should know that God punished the nation of Israel because of the sins of one man, Achan. That is how it is everywhere.”
On the part of the Ohanaeze President, Nwoko said Nwodo’s statement lacks merit because it did not come from God, maintaining that Biafra is ordained by God and she has come to stay.
He declared that what remain was “for Igbo leaders to recognize that I Prophet, could proffer the solution to the Biafra question. As a prophet, I’m ready to prove to Ohanaeze that Biafra is ordained by God. It is a glory for the whole world that will begin from the Southeast.”
Continuing, the Prophet said, “The Nigerian government in 1999 used (former President)Obasanjo who was taken out from prison, to come and become the president of Nigeria in order not to allow the glory and light from the East to manifest in the year 2000. In order to conceal this moon from the Southeast of Nigeria, God’s anger came down.

“There has been no peace in Nigeria since the year 2000 till date. Nigeria has been in darkness for the past 57 years since independence. This time is God’s intervention that had come down to sweep the evil in the nation using Biafra as a point of contact.
“Darkness can never comprehend light. Enugu State is the city to watch now, the light has come. The Heaven is going to use the end of this year for celebration and usher in a nation that will flourish with righteousness and prosperity.”
Nwoko also took a swipe on Buhari’s administration and political leaders in the country, saying they should forget about their plans for the 2019 general election.
“The government of Buhari should forget 2019 elections. Time is due for the glorious light of the Southeast to manifest for peace to reign and justice to prevail. Buhari does not possess the spiritual backing to lead Nigeria.
“The present crop of political leaders are parasites to the nation. They’re not spiritually anointed, that’s why Nigerians are suffering. Let Buhari not seek for the wrath of God.”

The 67-year old prophet also condemned the Celestial Church of Christ, Lagos, which according to him destroyed Nigeria and brought enormous suffering to its citizens by trying to conceal the light of the world.
In his message for the Igbo-speaking people of the East whom he described as saviours and messiahs of the world, Nwoko asked them to prepare to celebrate King of Kings at the end of the year for he has fought the battle for his people and that the storm is now over.

BIAFRA: THE BOMB EXPLOSION IN ENUGU POLLING UNIT; A MOVE BY NIGERIAN GOVT. TO JUSTIFY IPOB AS A TERRORIST GROUP.
09:34:00 - 0 Comments
Written By: Eluwa Chidiebere || Biafra Writers
November 7, 2017
It is said that when the evil plotter beats his drum for the downfall of the innocent, that Chukwu Okike Abiama (God) will never allow such a drum to sound; this has been materialized in the angelic revelation of the evil ulterior motive of the operation ‘‘Python Dance’’ of the Nigerian military against the innocent Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in the already boycotted Enugu local government election in Biafra land.
On 4th of November, 2017, the Nigerian government conducted election in Enugu, a state in Biafra land. It was generally believed that this Enugu election to the Nigerian government was a yardstick to prove to the world in general, that Biafrans are comfortable, complacent and protected in Nigeria and above all, eager to maintain the mantra ‘‘One Nigeria’’. Surprisingly, people were left aghast when they realized that Nigeria and her forces were nursing evil in their minds with the election, all in a move to justify their childish proscription of the Biafra people as terrorist.
In Enugu which is referred to as Coal City in Biafra land; there was uproar in the city following a bomb blast that exploded in the morning hours of Saturday, 4th November 2017. The explosion blew a fuse in one of the polling units where the designated Enugu local government Chairmanship election was being carried out. Due to a low turned out in the election, few people were injured while the bomb blast damaged a lot of things in the area. According to the scanty electorates who narrowly escaped death, “the Nigerian police were there at the polling unit since morning, but not too long they left the polling booth, the bomb went off” Another eye witness said ‘‘it could be the police knew that a bomb was planted there but chose to not to alert the people around’’.

It is good to learn that IPOB, on the move to restore the Biafran nation had in past through her intelligence, discovered and disclosed to the public many evil intents of Nigerian government more especially through her military to eliminate their leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and to exterminate the good people of Biafra which were later proven to be correct, top of the pile is the recent invasion of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s residence which lead to his disappearance till date and also, the forceful administration of poisonous vaccines in the guise of Monkey Pox vaccine to the Biafran children which left many children dead. IPOB had beforehand through her intelligence, envisaged this deliberate move by the Nigerian government to justify and make their erroneous proclamation of IPOB as a terrorist group have innocent look before the world.
Going by the outcome of the Enugu election, one can ascertain the reasons for this bomb blast. Apart from the firsthand reasons which are to exterminate the people of Biafra and to justify their terrorist tag on them, it’s very obvious that the total boycott of the election in Enugu, was a total disappointment to the FG which its negative effects it is going to exert on them in the world, infuriated them to create a hullaballoo as a cover up for the already successful boycotted election by the Indigenous People of Biafra. This has shown that the era of civil disobedience has commenced in Biafra land.
There is chaos in the corridors of power in Nigerian as a result of the boycott of the election. It has totally dawned on Nigerian government that more than ever before, Biafrans are set to leave Nigeria. To the people of Biafra, it is a victory once again.

As a result of the boycott, a former governor of Enugu state, Sullivan Chime has called for the rescheduling of the boycotted election. He went forth to tell the Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC) not to contemplate announcing results arising from the exercise so as to save ENSIEC from the ridicule that will ensue for announcing ‘fictitious results’. In his words while briefing the journalists on Saturday night in Enugu on the outcome of the exercise said, ‘‘it is obvious that the people were not prepared for the election. The electoral umpire was not prepared for the election. They should go back and do their homework. No election held today. They should reschedule the election and be more prepared for it’’.
It is now evidently clear that the fear of Biafra is the beginning of wisdom for the Nigerian government. This has proved Mazi Nnamdi Kanu the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra right. This has shown that he is truly the leader of the Biafran people and that not even the crowd of dignitaries can take away the truth.
Indeed, truth is like a smoke which nobody can lock the door against. The people of Biafra are only seeking for a referendum to be conducted for them to know their fate. They are not seeking for war as the Mohammad Buhari and his government is portraying Biafrans call for freedom in order to deceive her citizens and the world at large. Until then, Biafrans shall continue to apply all manner of civil disobedience to drive their message of self-determination to the world.

Enugu LG Polls: IPOB hails boycott, says we're in control of Biafra
01:44:00 - 1 Comments
November 6, 2017
IPOB PRESS STATEMENT
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has congratulated the people of Enugu State for heeding its call to boycott the Local Government Election held on Saturday November 4 2017.
IPOB in a statement by its Spokesperson, Emma Powerful, said with near total boycott of voting in all key wards of the state achieved, "we have, in our true indomitable style, sent a clear and unambiguous message to the powers that be in Nigeria that we are in total and absolute control of all areas in Biafraland, contrary to what Ohaneze Ndigbo and South East governors are telling those in Abuja."
The statement reads: "There will be no more usual charade called elections, which is more or less a government sanctioned festival of rigging, electoral fraud, political thuggery, mayhem and criminality. As the number one defender of the interest of all the people of Biafra, IPOB will continue to resist the criminality and electoral fraud of the Nigerian State until sanity is restored in our land through a United Nations supervised referendum.
"We also thank those in Enugu who contributed in one way or the other to making this election boycott exercise a successful one. The people of Enugu have shown us the way. It is now up to Biafrans in the targeted and upcoming Anambra State Gubernatorial elections to finish off the work on the 18th November 2017.
"Biafra restoration project piloted by the indomitable IPOB under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is a divine project that no mortal can stop. What happened in Enugu is nothing compared to the seismic shock the corrupt political establishment in Nigeria will receive in Anambra State come November 18. On that day, we will demonstrate our divine mandate to lead the children of God out of the darkness Nigeria into the light of eternal freedom in Biafra.
"Election boycott is our legitimate tool of civil disobedience and we shall continually deploy it until this fraudulent Luggardian monument to incompetence, lawlessness and nepotism is brought to an end.
"The Sit-at-Home order issued by our leader before his abduction and possible murder by Nigerian soldiers is a task that must be accomplished. Everywhere in Anambra State will be shut down on that fateful day to let the world know that we Biafrans are ready to stand as a nation of free people under Almighty God."

LG ELECTION: TENSION IN ENUGU METROPOLIS AS BOMB EXPLOSION ROCKS POLLING UNIT
18:49:00 - 0 Comments

By Chikwas Onu Ikpe | Biafra Writers
ENUGU – There is a heavy pandemonium in Coal-camp Area, Enugu, following a bomb blast that erupted within the said metropolis.
In the morning hours of Saturday, 4 November 2017, at about 08:00hrs; a blaring explosive blasted in Broderick Street, Coal-camp Area, Enugu. BIAFRA WRITERS PRESS gathered that the vicinity where the explosion occurred is proximal to Ogbete Ward 6 polling unit, where a scanty number of voters had gathered for the designated Enugu-North Local government Chairmanship election.
In a statement made available to BIAFRA WRITERS PRESS, an electorate who was on the scene of the incident said that "The Nigerian police force were here since morning, not too long they left the polling booth, the bomb exploded." In another account of an eye-witness, it was revealed that "It could be the police knew that a bomb was planted there but chose to keep mute."
Meanwhile, some people were reportedly injured but we are yet to ascertain the number of persons that were victimised by the explosion. We also gathered that properties were destroyed, including a Mercedes Benz vehicle that was parked along the street.
At this point, however, it is not clear that there is an intent to ascribe the horrendous incident to being the handiwork of the Indigenous People of Biafra [IPOB]; as they have envisioned the efficacy of IPOB's diplomatic principle, hence reacting with subterfuge in order to asperse the untainted reputations and activities of IPOB.

Howbeit, for the avoidance of doubt, we want to affirm to the entire public that IPOB is ignorant of such dire plans - whether already executed or still underlying. These awful plans are not unconnected to justifying the genocidal "clampdown" by the Nigerian army on IPOB.
More importantly, we enjoin our people (as forewarned) to deflect from any polling unit, heretofore, because these politicians - the "electoral candidates", have mounted security operatives who are no different from cannon fodder that does not regard the lives of the citizenry.
The only contrivance to circumventing these impending dangers engineered to engulf the innocent civilians is to yield to the directives of the highest command of IPOB, that is to SIT AT HOME, and refrain from all forms of (Nigerian) balloting in Biafra land.
