Trump issues travel ban restrictions to Nigeria and five other countries

File photo: President Donald Trump

February 1, 2020 | THE BIAFRA TIMES

By David Jackson

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump's administration on Friday added six countries to the controversial travel ban he put in place early in his term, a move that could potentially trigger another legal battle in a highly volatile election year.

Department of Homeland Security officials said the administration will suspend issuing overseas visas for nationals of Eritrea, Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar and Nigeria. The agency said it would also place additional restrictions on Sudanese and Tanzanian nationals.

The White House said the new countries fail to conduct "proper identity management" procedures or fail to "comply with basic national security" requirements.

"It is fundamental to national security, and the height of common sense, that if a foreign nation wishes to receive the benefits of immigration and travel to the United States, it must satisfy basic security conditions outlined by America’s law-enforcement and intelligence professionals," the White House said in a statement.

The new restrictions will not apply to tourist or business travel, the White House said, but rather to visas that are issued to immigrants who intend to live in the U.S.

Trump's travel ban, which the administration re-worked after a series of court challenges, already suspended the issuance of immigrant and non-immigrant visas to applicants from Libya, Iran, Somalia, Syria, Yemen, North Korea, and Venezuela.

The initial ban triggered a 17-month political and legal battle in which critics accused Trump of unconstitutionally targeting Muslims. The uproar included protests in cities and chaos at airports where some passengers from affected countries were detained.

After several revisions, the Supreme Court upheld the ban on a 5-4 vote in 2018.

Critics slammed Trump's move to expand the ban.

"Reviving this ban, and the anti-Muslim sentiment in which it originated, is a violation of the values of human rights and human dignity, and it must be overturned," said Margaret Huang, Amnesty International USA’s executive director. "The policies this administration has enacted towards people seeking safety have been cruel, inhumane, bigoted."

CLAMPDOWN ON PROTESTERS: Just Like Iranians, Biafrans Want To Also Hear From President Donald Trump

CLAMPDOWN ON PROTESTERS: Just Like Iranians, Biafrans Want To Also Hear From President Donald Trump
Biafrans in solidarity support for Donald Trump

If really there is anything Biafrans globally presently look forward to, it is getting soothing words of encouragement from the Pragmatic President of the United States of America, Mr. Donald John Trump. Assuring words of his awareness concerning the oppression being meted on the Biafran people by the Nigerian Islamic government of Muhammadu Buhari, need be publicly and internationally expressed. President Trump has consistently assured the Iranian protesters that the global community is on the watch pertaining their ordeal. Through the instrumentality of verified twitter handle and facebook page of the President, there are countless numbers of his expressed concern and assurance already given to the protesting Iranian citizens. He maintained that the government and the good people of the United States of America, are certainly on the know about of the brutal clampdown of the Islamic government of Ayatollah Khomeini, the Iranian supreme leader against his own people. In fact, in one of such recent posts, President Donald Trump clearly called on the Iranian government to restore the disconnected internet and social media in the country to enable the world see how Iran is handling it's protesters.

Interviews conducted with Biafrans both within Biafraland and in the diaspora, the people confirmed to Family Writers Press International, their state of expectation. They want to see the US President give them that attention and assurance at equal measure as the Iranians. Recall that since January 2017, the Nigerian Islamic government commenced brutal clampdown on the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), just because of their organized peaceful solidarity rally in support of the 45th US President, Donald John Trump, as he was being sworn into office. Part of the desire of the Biafran people to hear from Mr. Trump, is to assuage their curiosity whether he really have regard for their sacrifices and support for his government. He is a man that stands out globally for freedom, justice and equity. He, in his recent posts, gave assurances of the support of the United States to the protesting Iranians. In one of such posts made by Mr. President just recently, two Biafran agitators, Mazi Anyi Kings (a renowned Biafran journalist, editor and publisher with BiafraPost media organization) resident in the United Arab Emirate and Mazi Biafra Obi (a veteran Radio Biafra Broadcaster, journalist and editor), presently residing in the Jewish State of Israel, separately made comments. They demanded that President Trump should also speak out about the plight of Biafrans located in the West African sub-region whose lands are under oppressive occupation by the Nigerian government

In his comments, Mazi Anyi Kings specifically listed all the atrocities being committed by the Nigerian lawless government of the Islamic fundamentalists. He demanded that the US President should also look at the direction of the Biafran people to see their plight. In their reactions to Mazi Anyi Kings' comments, many concerned American citizens greatly showed sympathy over what Biafrans are yet going through just because of their unalloyed support to the first citizen of the United States. On his own comment on the President's post, Mazi Mike Biafra Obi carefully listed out different occasions when Mr. Trump took giant steps on global issues, which really endeared him to Biafrans. Mazi Mike Biafra Obi, pointedly mentioned the acknowledgement of Jerusalem as the eternal religious/political capital city of the Jewish State of Israel. This was followed by brokering peace truce in the Korean peninsula between the South Korean President and his North Korean counterpart. This two  verifiable examples out of many other giant strides undertaken by President Donald Trump, are such that earned him maximum support and solidarity from Biafrans.

In view of these realities, it is incumbent upon the US President to really take it as a matter of responsibility, to assuage the curiosity of the Biafran people. This he can do by openly communicating to them soothing and realisable assurances under his watch, regarding their plight in the Nigerian contraption. Apart from the organized cum sponsored media blackouts on the menace of the Nigerian armed forces perpetrated against Biafrans, it will still interest Mr. President to know that the Iranian protesters have not yet suffered up to ten percent (10%) from Ayatollah Khomeini's regime of what Biafrans have been through under the tyrannical regime and court contempt of Muhammadu Buhari despotic regime in Nigeria. Biafrans are now more ever, awaiting to hear President Donald John Trump make definitive statements in this respect.

BIAFRA: CNN Should Tell The World About Biafrans' Support To President Donald Trump

BIAFRA:  CNN Should Tell The World About Biafrans' Support To President Donald Trump

It is really unfortunate that up till date, a well renowned media organization in the capacity of Cable News Network (CNN), yet exhibits mischievousness in it's reportage and dissemination of information. This height of unethical practice was displayed internationally when this media giant reported the love and the unflinching support Biafrans globally, give to President Donald Trump of the United States of America. It was recently and biasedly reported that such unprecedented support was given by Nigerians. If the so-called Pew Research Center (CNN), could feign ignorance of the true identity of the people that have consistently staked their lives for the USA President since 2016 during and after the presidential election that fetched him victory, to January 2017, then this media organization is really not worth it's onions. The Nigerian Islamic government through it's jihadist police force, army and other sister security agencies killed, maimed and detained hundreds of family members of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), in Port Harcourt City, Biafraland, for peacefully and justifiably rallying in solidarity with President Donald Trump.

Biafrans have continued to give him support till date for his courageous stance on equity and justice in the world. CNN as a global media organization, cannot in anyway, claim ignorance of the real identity of the people. Unfortunately, it has mischievously, in it's biasness and falsehood, recently referred to these Biafrans as Nigerians, perhaps to justify the huge financial settlements it has so far gained from the corrupt Nigerian Islamic government. Professionally, could the CNN News Editor boldly say that he/she does not know or have the facts that the Nigerian Islamic government detests President Donald Trump because of his insistence that radical Islam and terrorism must be curtailed if not totally crushed in our world?

It is well known globally, that in any slightest upheaval, Nigerians always set American flags and other national symbols, ablaze, to register their hate against whatever the United States of America represents. During the Biafrans' Solidarity Rally for Trump in the month of January 2017, at Port Harcourt, it is still on record that the combined team of well armed Nigerian Army, Police and officials of the Department of Security Services (DSS), confiscated all the US flags at the possession of the rallying Biafrans and brazenly burnt them in broad daylight. This further demonstrated the hatred of Nigerians even in uniform, against President Donald Trump. So Nigerians are given to burning the American flags on several occasions against the interest and values of the American people. The most recent of such dastardly act was when members of Islamic Movement in Nigeria ,burnt American flags in a broad daylight in Abuja, Nigeria, to protest the killing of the Iranian terrorist Army General, Qassem Soleimani by US airstrikes.

If therefore there is any organization that deserves to be corrected for making the ancient people of Biafra as "Nigerians" in their news research delivery and presentation, it should be the obscure PEW RESEARCH CENTER which floated the research work by saying that "Kenyans" and "Nigerians" have more confidence in President Donald Trump. This is because most of these organizations are grossly being misled by Western World Mainstream Media Outlets like CNN, being referred herein for calling the people of Biafra, "Nigerians". It is quite obvious that the Nigerian government is hugely spending on CNN to ensure that news presentations are craftily being made to cover the true identity of Biafrans and as well, to do everything possible to thwart the Biafra restoration struggle through misleading news reportage.

However, it is important to put the record straight here. It is the Biafran people that are forcefully being encaged in the Nigerian contraption, which is under the firm control of Fulani cabals, that support President Donald Trump and that they will continually do until he reciprocates by out rightly telling the Nigerian Islamic government to take off it's hands from the concerns of the people through political independence. It is never Nigerians as it was deceitfully presented through the Pew Research Center and reported in the news bulletin of CNN, that gave and yet giving the US President, his required support. Nigerians, as a matter of fact, do not hide their hatred for President Trump and the American government based on his opposition against Islamic radicalism. CNN should correct that misleading narrative as carried in it's news presentation. It is Biafrans that support President Donald Trump and not Nigerians. It is completely mischievous and against journalistic ethics to float such falsehood.

Biafrans Commemorate the Victims of 9.11 attacks, condemn all manner of terrorism, including the ones being perpetrated by Fulani herdsmen and Boko Haram

September 17, 2019
By Umeh, A. Chiemelie | Biafra Writers

September 11th every year, the government and the good people of the United States of America commemorate and pay tribute to the victims of the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001, which killed over 2,996 people and injured over 6,000. The twin towers of the world trade center and the Pentagon was completely devastated down to its very foundation.

The American national attitude of manifest destiny, hard work and technological innovation made her the most successful and prosperous nation on earth. The libertarian ideals of the founding founders which every generation of Americans uphold, has made their country a nation of different races, tongues, and colours. Immigrants troop in from every continent on earth with their ideals and skills in search of greener pastures. The door of America was opened to them so long as they abide by the American creed and swore allegiance to the constitution. Man worked, God blessed and the land of freedom with the emblem of the statue of liberty became the most powerful, prosperous and dominant nation on the face of the planet.

On this day, Tuesday morning - 11th September 2001, hijackers crashed the planes, American Airlines flight 11 and United Airlines flight 175, into the twin towers of world trade center (the symbol of American economic power) and the American Airlines 77 was crashed into the Pentagon - headquarters of the department of defense (symbol of the American military might). The aim is to cripple the western economy and military superiority and advance radical Islam with the intention to control the world system through the deployment of savagery and fear.

The spread of radical Islam is the aim, the indigenous population and America as the world power, is the prime target. We Biafrans world over, condemn this act of terror and others committed by these men from the underworld. The event of 9.11.2011 led to the declaration of war on terror by the Bush administration. It is the most brutal terrorist attacks against a nation in the history of man and the world has never remained the same since that Tuesday morning.

Together, with the civilized world, we the global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra worldwide, condemn all manner of terrorism in the world including the ones being perpetrated by Fulani herdsmen and Boko Haram in Nigeria in systematic connivance with the Fulani-controlled government of Nigeria, especially in North-East, Middle belt and Southern Nigeria and most notably, the acts of terror being perpetrated in the most gruesome manner against IPOB, whom they have massacred since 2015 till date.

Destroying human life is against our values and way of life. We stand with the Americans on this day of National remembrance. We mourn with those who lost their loved ones and pray that God give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Our heart goes out to the wounded, some of whom till this day, endure the discomfort of brutality of man against his fellow man. We understand their predicaments because we have been on that road before between 1966-1970 even till date. We stand with you on this day. We implore the Americans and the free world to take solace from the words of the psalmist, ‘’though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me’’... for as long as our redeemer liveth, and the world exists, good must continue to triumph over evil.

There is a great need for change in strategy on the global efforts against terrorism. Terrorism has become a worldwide phenomenon with a vast network of groups with the sole agenda of advancing and planting radical Islam in every corner of the world. The alliance against terror needs to be strengthened and reinforced by empowering more friends and allies like the Biafrans who share common values and anti-terror ideals. This can be done through massive support for Biafra towards the attainment of statehood.

If a powerful country like the United States can be attacked, then it spells of the vulnerability that a besieged Biafra suffers. That is why there is need for a concerted effort towards the consolidation of allies, in order to win this global war on terrorism.

If the United States with all her military might and efficient exploits of the CIA can be attacked, then no elite member of the United Nations Security Council is safe.  It is to the best interest of the five (5) permanent members of the U.N.S.C that Biafra emerges as an independent nation. We have a long history with the jihadists that dates back to the 19th century. We have faced their wild-donkey-like aggression and brutality from 1966-1970, therefore, possess the mental will and tenacity to deal a fatal blow to this global terror network and rid the world of this evil.

We recognize the fact that, the five permanent members of the U.N.S.C and the civilized world is making great efforts in dismantling the global terror network. Biafrans are ever ready and it will be a great privilege to stand side by side with your great military forces to end the scourge of terrorism in the world. For if we fail in taking responsibility in Nigeria, the world will not be able to contain the refugees that will be unleashed.

America is the conscience of the world. The responsibility of true leadership is making hard and difficult decisions. It is the duty and obligation of America to protect and defend her core values, principles and ideals of freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness which these terrorists threaten.

What is at stake is freedom in America, Biafraland and the civilized world. For if Biafra is under the threat of the radical Islam and annihilation by the Fulani terrorist militia, then America is not safe. The United States must defend her territory, way of life and the free world through the unalloyed support for the emergence of a free Biafra.

The United States needs to build a formidable alliance with Biafra just as with the state of Israel, because we share so many things in common and are faced by a common enemy for whom the total destruction of the United States and Israel and orchestrating a pogrom in Biafraland is their ultimate goal.

We Biafrans are the originators and a long upholder of the republican and democratic ideals which the United States founding fathers institutionalized and is enjoyed by the Americans. We are bound by a common creed and value system. Therefore, we must form a formidable, strong and indomitable alliance to protect and advance these ideals.

The emergence of the land of the rising sun (Biafra) will certainly change the narrative on the war against terror to a positive one and collectively stop any semblance of the event of 9/11 around the world.

We have to keep faith in the Almighty God that this carnage on U.S soil will never happen again. Bearing in mind the words of Billy Graham, ‘’but now, we have a choice, whether to implode and disintegrate emotionally as a nation or to become stronger.

We must choose to become stronger for the next generation, the indigenous people and the rest of humanity. Radical Islam can never and will never defeat our great people and our great way of life.

For The Love Of Dogged Perseverance And Due Justice: A Protest Letter By Eluwa Chidiebere Chinazu To President Donald Trump, The U.S Congress And The Judiciary

September 18, 2018

Your Honorable Excellencies,

I am acutely humbled and intensively galvanized to present you with this letter. With all my heart, I must embrace the unparalleled truth by commending the leadership crew of the United States of America and her law-abiding citizens for the following reasons; the great sacrifice paid during the journey to independence, for maintaining such a galore of unity amongst the rich heritage states without force or killing and lastly for recognizing Jerusalem as the capital city of the Most High God. It would be an affront to history and posterity for me not to endorse the rocketing fact that this great country has proudly practiced true federalism which evidently has enabled her to be a strong country well-stocked with heroic and outstanding discoveries ever known to man. I admire such a great country.

As Thomas Jeffersonʼs introductory words depict, “we hold these truths to be self-evident; that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights,” these undebatable facts from Jefferson would echo most strongly throughout generations to come. I believe that it is on these simple truths that the United States of America has progressed and excelled in all facets of life. Hence, feudalism is totally off the hook of the American government modus operandi.

On the state of the African continent, the struggle of the United States to see that Africa is remodelled into a promising continent devoid of terrorism, underdevelopment and generally backwardness, is profitably felt. But the Africa of today as seen by many has become vulnerable to countries of dubious character who came-in to destabilize, ruin and jeopardize her development by delving into her politics through their ‘warrant chiefs,’ parading as leaders. These parasitic countries with the epic help of their warrant chiefs have perfected plans on how to continue duping good countries like the United States that harbours good dreams for the black continent.

As you may likely know that discussing Africa’s evolution without Nigeria appearing on the bigger picture would be complicitly incomplete. As Gbemisola Adeoti, a revered lecturer in one of Nigeria’s most celebrated universities called Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) would metaphorically present Nigeria as an ‘ambusher’ of her dreams and that of Africa in general. It is with a heart devoid of pretence that I appeal to your humble offices to x-ray the state of Nigeria so as to exhume the simple solution to her ills. Before that, I have some suggestions to make.

The emphatic truth carved in stone is that the rain beating the black continent today is as a result of the partitioning of the African territories against their natural boundaries. This is otherwise known to scholars today as ‘Scramble for Africa.’ In Nigeria, as a creation of the British colony, it is still this villainous controversial gathering of the world’s leading European powers in what is known today as the Berlin Conference of 1885 that precipitated the creation of new boundaries that caused great violence to Africa’s ancient societies, top of the list is the defunct Republic of Biafra which Biafrans today are struggling to resurrect. That same gathering resulted in the creation of tension-prone states like the Nigeria we see today.

As the Holy Bible would succinctly put it clear in Psalm 11:3 that: “Foundation once destroyed, what can the righteous do?” This would propel me to state unequivocally here that the aids been rendered by the United States of America to the Nigerian government in the fight against terrorism which is second to none in history are all efforts in futility until the United States revisits the foundation which brought Nigeria into existence in order to accurately ascertain the real disease which is the ‘incompatibility’ of ethnic nationals that constituted the Nigerian state which was somewhat a byproduct of the Berlin Conference of 1885. Nigeria as an embodiment of distinct nationalities is duly ripe to be subjected to a credible and independent referendum to put an end to all the problems/crises bedevilling the Nigerian state once and for all. Just as her creator, Fredrick Lugard rightly confessed that northern Nigeria and its southern region are like oil and water which can never mix together, l make bold to say that subjecting Nigeria to a referendum is the only panacea to ending Nigeria’s societal ills and that of Africa in general.

In words of one syllable, I would like to bring to the attention of the American government that helping Nigeria in any aspect is beginning to dent America’s image. People around the world are harboring this feeling that the United States is only interested in making huge profit by selling guns and military hardwares to Africa (Nigeria) in the guise of aiding in the fight against terrorism and protection of Africa (Nigeria). Your honourable Excellencies, Africa is asking for food not dopes. I think the sagely unity that the United States of America is enjoying today was not and is not achieved through guns and bullets (force). It is against the law of nature to sell ammunition to a hungry continent (people) which they will, in turn, end up utilizing to further terrorize and destroy defenseless and unarmed fellow citizens in their midst and not to fight against terrorism as expected of them.

We must admit that there was a country in Africa which would have changed Africa. Africa would have largely benefited from the Biafra sovereignty, as a result of its human and material resources. If you take time to study the present state of Nigeria today, it would dawn on sane-minded people that the defeat of Biafra is not a victory for the Nigerian people but for the British government and the neo-colonialists like Soviet. Going by their tremendous inventions and heroic activities during the war, one doesn’t need to be convinced that if such a nation that believes in liberalism was allowed by countries such as Britain, Russia, Egypt and others to emerge, they would have transformed the Africa of today to something much better. Just as the state of Israel whom they share same rich heritage with, is used as an example in the Middle East, so also the state of Biafra would have been to the black continent. Indeed as most people would assert, “In Biafra, Africa died.”

Biafra war remains the most horrific war ever in human history given to the holy and miraculous events that took place. I am talking about the first televised war in history. A war that must have made God ‘sick.’ A war that killed more vulnerable people like children and elderly persons than soldiers. Your excellencies, sorry, it’s so annoying and pathetic to remember. We have not forgotten the courageous Bruce Mayrock that set himself ablaze in front of the UN building after seeing how the Biafran people were been massacred. Even as a child during the Biafra war, Steve Jobs lost faith in God after seeing the hunting images of the starved children of Biafra.

Isn’t it awful that while the British government may consider as genocide, the massacre of a few hundred English people, that figure may rise to a few thousand in relation to other European nations and a few million for African nations. Britain deliberately created a society that would live in division; a society that will always be against itself. For a federation to work, no one group will have the advantage of relying on its unaided strength, but in Nigeria, Britain made the northern part to rely on the southern part of the country. In essence, the southern part of Nigeria is the beautiful bride supplying every need of the northern part and that has made the forced and unconsented union difficult for a divorce. Britain gave power to the north that practices feudalism in order to continue milking the enormous mineral resources from the Biafra region and using it to enhance, strengthen and rejuvenate their suffocated and dying economy.

This time around, the Biafran people are poised for their total independence from the contraption. They are following the rules and guidelines laid down by the United Nations General Assembly in pursuit of genuine freedom and self-determination. Yet, Biafrans are been massacred in their numbers, some are being bathed with acidic substances while many others were subjected to drink and swim in muddy water by the Nigerian soldiers. Their mothers are being molested and raped by the Nigerian army and sometimes by the Fulani herdsmen who are of northern extraction. To this end, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu and his aged parents are still been held in confinement by the Nigerian military who invaded his house on 14th September 2017 against court orders. In this unwarranted invasion, 28 Biafrans who came to visit the IPOB leader died by the lethal bullets of these unprofessional soldiers. The wounds are too numerous to mention here. But amidst of all these obnoxious treatments meted on them, the Biafrans has remained peaceful in their quest.

For the love of dogged perseverance and due justice, your Excellencies, it is time to give the brave and good people of Biafra their overdue independence. This can be done through a referendum. A call for referendum is not a call for war. But if the Nigerian government wants war, we will not fold our arms. We held them with Britain, Russia and other foreign countries for three good years; we are equal to the task.

We urge you to stop the bloodshed in Nigeria; not by supplying them with guns and bullets but by subjecting her to a referendum. That would start with the Biafra referendum.

God bless the United States of America, God bless the United States of Biafra and God bless the state of Israel.

Yours’ Most Sincerely,
Eluwa Chidiebere Chinazu

Nigeria Security Agents Dares President Trump; Abducts Jewish Worshippers in Afaraukwu Ibeku

Published by The Biafra Times

IPOB PRESS RELEASE | May 15, 2018

The leadership and entire family members of the indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) condemn the abduction of 21 Shalom church members and other Christian denominations praying in the residence of IPOB leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu by Nigerian murderous security operatives on Sunday morning.

The Nigeria Security Agents Tortures And Abducts Jewish Worshippers In Nnamdi Kanu's Residence who came to pray at the compound on Sunday morning without any provocation.

This is to alert the whole World that, the Jewish Worshippers praying in Afaraukwu Ibeku at IPOB Leader's residence, are currently undergoing severe torture from the Nigeria security agents at Central Police Station Umuahia and Zone 9 Force Headquarters Ehimiri Estate Ikot Ekpene Road Umuahia.
Some of the Jewish worshippers have been abducted and taken to unknown places, for easy execution.
The Nigeria Security agents have declared war on Christians and religious groups once again, as a daring move against the warnings and US President Donald Trump's agreement made in Washington D.C with the Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari.

We are calling on men and women of good conscience, the US embassy and all civilized nations to see reasons to fight and stop these barbaric moves against the brazen Islamisation and religious intolerance in Nigeria. The unprovoked attack on these innocent worshippers,  whose crime was to pray and spiritually sanctify the residence of IPOB Leader desecrated where the Nigeria Army and other security agencies killed and maimed over 28 innocent unarmed members of IPOB including the abduction of our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu since last year September. This is to prove that APC Government led by Major General Muhammadu Buhari in conjunction with Okezie Ikpeazu have declared war on Christians and those suspected to be religious affiliation with IPOB leader.

We are holding Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu and the Obudu born resident Commissioner of Police in Abia State responsible if anything happens to those abducted this morning. When payback time comes, the Fulani caliphate that is egging them on now, will not be there to save them.

Editorial: Buhari’s Continous Defense Of Killer Herdsmen Emboldens Their Onslaught On Christians In Nigeria

By Chukwuemeka Chimerue | Chief Editor, The Biafra Times

May 4, 2018

President Muhammadu Buhari’s face-saving statement during his recent interactive meeting with his US counterpart, President Donald Trump at the White House, Washington DC, that “Nigerian herdsmen” whose atrocities and heinous crimes against innocent citizens of the country has skyrocketed since his coming into power, do not carry AK 47s and that they only use sticks, is not only deceptive, misleading but equally emboldening the guts of these Fulani bloodsucking herders to increase their spate of killings.

Buhari’s continuous open support and defense of rampaging Fulani herdsmen terrorist in the country is the sole reason the killings has not being abated up till this moment. Nigerian citizens especially the persecuted Christians continue to suffer the mayhem unleashed on them by these cruel, inhumane and stone-hearted Fulani killers and all Buhari can do is to give them backing by defending them.

By always absolving these murderous and dreadful herders from the heinous crimes they perpetrate instead of putting long-lasting measures in place to checkmate and curb the spate of killings, is Buhari indirectly passing the obvious message that Christian lives does not matter to him so long as it is not pinned on his kinsmen and ethnic group? A true leader who has the interest of its citizens at heart would never defend such spiteful killings in any way even if coming from his kinsmen.

READ MORE: BIAFRA: America Must Be Ready To Set A Good Example With Biafra

In whatever platform or forum Buhari finds himself in and the issue of killings in the country is raised, he won’t hesitate to tell anyone that cares to listen that the killers are not from Nigeria. But then the curiousity has been why he always treat invaders whose occupation are killings and destruction with kids glove as the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of the country. To rephrase, why would President Buhari allow so-called invaders to continue maiming innocent people if they are not his brothers?

The most ironic of it all being the devoted plans and concerted efforts made by this government to carve out grazing lands and colonies to these so-called invaders so as to ameliorate the incessant killings, yet they are not from Nigeria? We, however, understand the fact that the government’s vehement refusal to proscribe and designate as terrorist, the murderous bloodletting herdsmen, is a clear indication that they(herdsmen) has the full backing of the present administration to perpetrate evil.

The Fulani herdsmen that the Nigerian people have come to know are very cruel, terrific, horrible and goes about with lethal guns, machete, dagger and other deadly weapons to destroy, kill and rape people of their host communities in the name of rearing cattles and go scot-free after their evil operations without any resistance or prosecution from the country’s security agencies. In essence, they have been countless killings by the notorious herdsmen and people do not want the government to start arguing where they come from or which tribe they came from but what adequate proactive measures they have drafted to keep them in check and nip the killings in the bud.

READ MORE: Biafra: Slaughter of Christians; IPOB Commends President Trump and Demands More

However, we appreciate the fact that the world is not deceived by the antics and denials of the Buhari-led government as it is obvious that its lackadaisical attitude and unwillingness to decisively wage war against these Fulani killers has made them realise that surely they are enjoying the support of the government in power hence the need for world leaders such as President Trump to intervene in the situation of which Buhari is helpless.

Buhari has grown too old to be found lying on bed of lies, pretence, and insincerity on the sensitive issues of insecurity in Nigeria. His disposition, body language, and indifference on the unending killings appear to be the source of motivation and empowerment to these killer herdsmen. That was why he would send the Inspector of Police to quell the killings in Benue state and he rather went to Nasarrawa state without the president realising for months.

Rather than been objective in his utterances, Buhari would always choose to whip-up his bigoted sentiments which torches on the sensitivity of ardent followers of events that sometimes one may wonder if this man can ever for once be candid in his speech and take the bull by its horn.

In another related development, Buhari claimed in an interview on Voice Of America(VOA), Hausa service that the widely reported killing of Christians in Nigeria was false and that President Trump was misinformed on the killings claiming that similar incident also happened in the South-East and the North.

For whatever may be the case, it is very apparent that these repetitive ogres of violence perpetrated by these marauding herdsmen who are now the dreaded champions of jihad war in Nigeria is mostly and basically targeted at Christians and non-Muslim groups in the country.

As earlier stated, instead of politicizing this issue on the lines of ethnicity, Buhari would have sought proactive ways of nipping it in the bud so as to ward-off any insinuation that his administration is in full support of the killings. Also, the recent security policy of disarming vigilante groups and individuals with licensed guns solely used for self-defence spoke volumes that the government, despite failing to tackle this insurgence head-on, may be benefiting from it in one way or the other after all.

Therefore, it is in the light of these false perceptions and deluded comments from the president that one may wonder if indeed the Nigerian government would sincerely create the enabling environment and give room for collaboration and support to the US government in wholesomely tackling the surge of killings in Nigeria.

Biafra: Slaughter of Christians; IPOB Commends President Trump and Demands More

The Biafra Times | May 01, 2018

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB commends US President for the direct and serious manner he addressed and demanded an immediate end to the serial slaughter of Christians in Nigeria, including Biafran Christians since the coming of the murderous ‘Buhari’ presidency in 2015. It is to the credit of IPOB that our sustained international advocacy, the letter we sent to President Trump on the eve of the meeting and the demonstrations we carried out at the White House were the factors most responsible for bringing this matter to the attention of President Trump.

While noting that, by this development, Mr ‘Buhari’ and his coterie are coming closer to the clutches of international justice, we would like to seize this opportunity to draw the attention of the American people to the plight of Biafrans in detention across Nigeria especially the four that are still in detention in a maximum security prison simply because they came out to celebrate with millions of other people around the world the day Trump was sworn into office. It is also important that we further remind the US presidency the enormity of the brutality and cold-blooded massacre of innocent citizens merely exercising their right to freedom of assembly on that fateful day of January 20, 2017.

Mr. Ikenna Igwe Mazi, Mr. Uchenna Innocent, Mr. Bright Sunday Okoro and Mr. Chidinma Godwin Nwafor are today still languishing in prison for no other reason than the fact they were celebrating Trump victory. They were detained on a trumped up charge of treasonable felony merely for celebrating the inauguration of Donald Trump.

IPOB-Trump Rally: Trauma grips detained IPOB activists languishing in jail over a year as Buhari meets Trump today

...Feelings of betrayal, abandonment and
suffering trail plights of detainees who celebrated Trump's electoral victory

By Eluwa Chidiebere Chinazu || Reporting For Biafra Writers.

The emotional trauma that enveloped some members of the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB), who visited their detained brothers remanded in Port Harcourt Maximum Security Prison by Nigerian security operatives, following the orders of President Muhammadu Buhari, for celebrating the presidential victory of Donald J. Trump, can never be wished away by mere utterances.

This sombre situation erupted right after the news of Buhari's visit to the White House in Washington broke out. There were impressions of dissatisfaction and betrayal on the faces of the detainees over the ensuing handshake of president Donald J. Trump with his Nigerian counterpart who has done virtually everything to deny them their inalienable right to self-determination. Tears rolled down in bewilderment.

Lots of questions were directed to President Trump by the wounded detained IPOB members over the psych or the moral justification in seeing Muhammadu Buhari when there are innocent people still locked up in Port Harcourt Maximum Security Prison for over a year simply because they came out on the streets to celebrate his victory. How come the man responsible for their illegal detention is being welcomed to the White House as if nothing happened? Does it mean that President Trump is playing down on the 20th of January 2017 massacre in Port Harcourt?

The pro-Biafra detainees, Mazi Ikenna Igwe from Amekaikwo Village in Ikwo Local government area of Ebonyi State, Uchenna Innocent from Awo Mberi Village in Mbaitolu Local government area of Imo State, Bright Sunday Okoro from Eze Kporoke village in Onicha Local government area of Ebonyi State and Chidinma Godwin Nwafor from Okposi Village in Ohazara L.G.A of Ebonyi State, are suffering for celebrating Trump's victory amongst countless others who lost their lives on that fateful day by the Nigerian military forces.

They were first arrested by the Department of State Security, DSS,  20th of January last year and were kept incommunicado, before transferring them to Rivers State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).

The Biafra activists were first arraigned at Magistrate Court on the 26th of January 2017, but the court denied the jurisdiction to grant them bail, hence remanded them in prison custody upon which a bail application was later filed in Rivers State High Court, by IPOB legal team.

But the State commissioner of police took a matter already ongoing at the State judiciary court to the Federal High Court, which amounts to an unconscionable breach of law. Till date, they are still remanded in prison.

It is so evil of the American government to be looking the other way while evil goes on and on without the perpetrators been keelhauled. Power is supposed to be used not preferentially but judiciously and in favour of the innocent citizens and not otherwise. Doing the needful and the appropriate move is required for posterity sake because the future they say, is pregnant. The people of Biafra demands justice. Give them justice if they are right and and deny them justice if they are wrong.

Buhari's visit to the White House a mockery of the ideals, values and founding principle of the United States of America

The Biafra Times | April 30, 2018

IPOB PRESS RELEASE

We would like to seize this opportunity of a meeting between President Trump and 'Buhari' to draw the attention of the American people to the plight of Biafrans in detention across Nigeria especially the four that are still in detention in a maximum security prison simply because they came out to celebrate with millions of other people around the world the day Trump was sworn into office. It is also important that we remind the US presidency since it appears the US embassy in Nigeria failed to do so, the enormity of the brutality and cold-blooded massacre of innocent citizens merely exercising their right to freedom of assembly on that fateful day of January 20, 2017.

There is something morally repugnant about 'Buhari' visiting Washington to discuss democracy when his administration is anything but. The failure of United States government to hold this regime to account is what may have emboldened and encouraged them to embark on the wholesale ethnic cleansing of parts of Benue State. IPOB would like to know if President Trump, by virtue of this invitation to Buhari, is justifying the cold-blooded massacre and illegal detention of tens of innocent Biafrans that rallied in Igweocha (Port Harcourt) on that fateful day of January 20, 2017, during his inauguration.

What the Trump administration appears to be doing is inadvertently giving the green light to brutal anti-democratic regimes in Africa of which the 'Buhari' APC is one, to murder and detain at will. There is nothing democratic about 'Buhari'  to justify his invitation to the White House. Whoever it is at the United States embassy in Abuja, responsible for compiling and transmitting reports of regime atrocities back to the State Department in Washington, failed woefully in his or her duty, because this current 'Buhari' regime is the worst government in the history of Nigeria. Both in terms of brutality, wickedness and total disregard for democratic norms and rule of law. There is nothing about this 'Buhari' regime that qualifies it to be given the honour of visiting the office of the leader of the free world.
Welcoming Buhari to the White House means welcoming tyranny into the bowel of democracy. It sends out the message that the United States of America is standing shoulder to shoulder with a mass murderer and tyrant, contrary to its stated objectives. What those who are behind this visit of 'Buhari' to the White House may have succeeded in doing is give the official Trump administration endorsement to 'Buhari' to go on killing and locking people up at will, including those that came out on the streets to celebrate President Trump's victory.

It makes a mockery of the ideals, values and founding principles of the United States of America that the man responsible for the illegal detention and brutal murder of those celebrating the election of a US president is being welcomed to White House as if nothing happened. Does it mean President Trump is not aware of the 20th of January 2017 massacre at Igweocha (Port Harcourt) or the US mission to Nigeria, especially the US ambassador, failed to inform the president?

Mr. Ikenna Igwe Mazi, Mr. Uchenna Innocent, Mr. Bright Sunday Okoro and Mr. Chidinma Godwin Nwafor are today still languishing in prison for no other reason than the fact they were celebrating Trump victory. They were detained on a trumped up charge of treasonable felony for celebrating the inauguration of a US president that is today winning and dining with the same man that threw them in jail. There is something morally repugnant about this. The very least President Trump can do is to demand that 'Buhari' immediately release all IPOB activists and other political detainees across Nigeria.
