Ejiofor urged army, police, others to withdraw from Afaraukwu and allow peaceful burial for Kanu's parents

February 11, 2020 | The Biafra Times

Ahead of the burial ceremony of Nnamdi Kanu’s parents in Abia state, his lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, has called on the Army, the Inspector General of Police and other security agencies to withdraw their men from the community to allow for a peaceful burial.

Eze Israel Okwu Kanu and Ugoeze Sally Kanu, parents of the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu would be buried on February 14, 2020. Ejiofor, at a press conference, yesterday, in Abuja, appealed to Abia Police Commissioner, Mr. Ene Okon, to order the police to stay away from the venue of the ceremony.

The appeal by Kanu’s lawyer comes on the heels of the warning issued by Mr. Okon to IPOB members to steer clear of the burial ceremony.

Ejiofor also lamented the heavy presence of soldiers in Kanu’s community. The pro-Biafran group said its members were not coming for war, but to pay their last respect to the parents of their leader.

Okon, however,  said the police would not allow IPOB to participate in the burial and that if members of the proscribed organisation were seen anywhere around the burial venue, police would scatter the ceremony.

Okon said he had reached out to the traditional prime minister of Afaraukwu, Kanu’s hometown, to make it clear that the burial would not hold if IPOB members attended.

Oraifite Mayhem: Restrain and refrain from arresting Barr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor, Federal High Court ordered Nigerian security agencies

December 24, 2019

By Nwamgba Amah | Biafra Writers

Awka - Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, lawyer to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who was declared wanted by the Anambra State Commissioner of Police John Abang on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, in connection with the alleged murder of two police officers in Oraifite, Ekwusigo LGA of the state has gotten a temporary respite as the Federal High Court in the State ordered the security agencies to restrain and refrain from arresting him in compliance with the order of the court.

The court also ordered the security agencies to maintain the status quo pending the hearing of the plaintiff motion on notice and also to put the plaintiff, all the defendants on notice before the hearing of the substantive suit which was adjourned till Friday, December 27, 2019.

Barrister Ejiofor's persecution was perceived as an indirect attack on his person due to his involvement with IPOB as the counsel to group and lawyer to its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

A group of lawyers under the auspices of Victims of Persecution has written to the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willy Obiano over the urgent need to set up a commission of inquiry to investigate the gruesome and callous incident that took place at Oraifite, Ekwusigo LGA, Anambra state.

The copies of the petition which was made available to Biafra Writers and transcripted read thus;

Friday, 20th December 2019
His Excellency,
Chief Willy Obiano
Governor. Anambra State

Thro: The Anambra State  Liaison Office Abuja

 Dear Your Excellency

The Oraifite".... utter carnage"

URGENT NEED FOR YOUR OFFICE TO SET UP A COMMISSION OF INQUIRY

We of the Victims of  Persecution deeply sympathize with your Excellency, the Government and People of Anambra State over the recent gruesome and callous incidence at Oraifite in Ekwusigo Local Area of Anambra State.

Four bodies/persons have described it from their different gory perspectives:

  1. The Oraifite Improvement 'union in a Public Statement described it as:  "...scene of utter carnage"
  2. This is how the Nigerian Police put: "...set ablaze one Patrol vehicle and attacked them with rifles and machetes. And as a result two police officers... were killed... while others were inflicted with machete cuts"
  3. I.C. Ejiofor, Esq. in his letter dated 9th December 2019 to your Excellency highlighted as follows: "... the police under Anambra State Police Command and other security agents brutally invaded and set ablaze my premises in Oraifite Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State and consequently killed six unarmed Civilians on the 2nd December 2019
  4.  Finally, one of the highly informed NGOs. International Society for Civil Liberties and the Rule of law at page 5 (Paras. 4 & 5) of its letter (REF: INTERSOC:OO1/12/19/OSGF/ABJ/NG) & dated Monday 16th December 2019 submitted:

 Para. 4
"Surprisingly at about 10.30am same morning, truck-loads of armed police personnel comprising of the operatives of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS), Ichi Unit and others had besieged the Lawyer's family compound and violently broke into same. As a result, verbal exchanges ensued between them and a handful of domestic staff and volunteers who were tidying up the compound and watching over the environment. They were all unarmed. The armed SARS operatives.. .opened fire after being told that the Lawyer was not at home and likely on his way to honor the invitation from the same Area Commander. Police bullets rained in all directions, forcing many including members of the neighborhood to run for safety.

Para. 5
Resisted by some of the volunteers through anti bullet charms, the armed police personnel became deadlier and resorted to grabbing and hitting them with metals and thick planks. In the end, four defenseless citizens were killed and others sustained various degrees of gunshot wounds. Eyewitnesses said two of the dead victims were rescued by their colleagues and hidden while the police made away with two others who were later set ablaze with a police van hundreds of meters away from Barr Ifeanyi Ejiofor's family compound. Police also said they lost two officers (an ACP and an ASP) during the
attack.... .. "

All the four above (though each from entirely from different and divergent interrogations) portend sorrow for the despicable and avoidable loss of human life and property. Thomas Jefferson, former President of the United States of America once said

  • "The care of human life and happiness. and not their destruction is the first and only objective of good government."
In fact, this is how Section 33 (1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic Of Nigeria. 1999 (as amended) put it:
  • "Every person has a right to life, and no one shall be deprived intentionally of his life, save in execution of the sentence of a court..."
This is in addition to the Constitutional powers of the Anambra State House of Assembly under Section 4(7) of our Constitution:
  •  ..to make laws for the peace. order and good government of the State or any part thereof with respect to the following matters..."
Emphasis ours.

(c) any other matter with respect to which it is empowered to make laws in accordance with the provisions of this Constitution)

In furtherance to the above constitutional power and duty "... to make laws for the peace. order and good government of the State or any part thereof..." the Anambra State House of Assembly has set the tempo for the equitable resolution of matters of this ugly nature by having creditably enacted the Anambra State Commission of Inquiry Law, CAP 31.

Your Excellency. our Constitution via Section 5(2) mandates your office as follows:

Subject to the provisions of this Constitution,.. the executive powers of  a State
  • (a) Shall be vested in the Governor of the State... and"
  • (b) shall extend to the execution and maintenance of this Constitution, all laws made by the House of Assembly of the State and to all matters with respect to which the House of Assembly has for the time being power to make laws.)

Your Excellency (as the Chief Executive Of the Laws of Anambra State etc.), we recommend to you the immutable words Of Wilson Woodrow;
"There is no higher religion than human service. To  work for the common good is the greatest creed".
To this effect. we of the Victims Of Persecution request your Excellency to urgently set up a Commission of Inquiry over The Oraifite"... utter carnage". The real essence of humanity and government is to stand up for who can no longer stand up for themselves. No one should be unlawfully cut down like footpath grasses.

Yours Sincerely,

Chukwuma-Machukwu Ume, SAN
Rapporteur

Police Terror: IPOB Still Awaiting Evidence against its Lawyer, Barrister Ejiofor

December 19, 2019

By Eluwa Chidiebere Chinazu | Biafra Writers

Recall that on the 2nd of December, 2019, a combined team of Nigerian military and police invaded the home of Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, burning down houses, killing four, and leaving many with severe bullet wounds. The major target, Barrister Ejiofor, being missed, the murderous police team has declared him wanted.

Trying to defend self from public backlash, the police claimed that they invaded the barrister’s home on charges of kidnap, adding that the legal practitioner is a member of IPOB … as if belonging to IPOB is somehow a crime.

Reacting to the calumny against the counsel to its Supreme Leader, the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, through its Media and Publicity Secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful, has challenged the police to provide evidence in support of their false claim. The public is still awaiting the evidence. Clarifying matters further, Comrade Powerful had maintained that Barrister Ejiofor is merely a counsel to IPOB and its Supreme Leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and not a member of the freedom-seeking group.

It beats one how the police came out with a press statement that they got a complaint that Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor engaged in abduction and assault which occasioned harm and malicious damage cannot provide the complainant and the victim.

When state security forces turn around to terrorize those they are meant to protect, nothing but doom awaits the country. Nigeria, from all indications, will soon be referred to in the past.

Oraifite Mayhem: Demand for a joint investigation board, dismissal of CP Abang John and others over professional misconduct - Intersociety

December 17, 2019 | The Biafra Times

Why We Wrote SGF & PSC Demanding For A Joint Investigation Board Into The Oraifite Mayhem & Dismissal Of CP Abang John (fdc) & Others Over Professional Misconducts

The Int’l Society for Civil Liberties & Rule of Law-INTERSOCIETY, yesterday, 16th Dec 2019 sent two detailed letters to Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Barr Boss Gidahyelda Mustapha and Chairman of the Police Service Commission, Retired IGP Musiliu Smith. In the detailed letter to the SGF, we demanded for A Joint Investigation Board into the Oraifite-Anambra Police and Army Mayhem of 2nd Dec 2019 so as to establish ‘criminal’ and ‘civil’ involvements and their ‘service’ and ‘civil’ parties; with the overall aim of ensuring justice to the victims, justice to the society including deterrence and the peace loving people of Oraifite; and justice to the perpetrators or ‘criminal parties’.

In the second letter to the PSC, we specifically demanded for investigation of CP John Abang, ACP Oliver I. Inoma-Abbey, CSP Alexander Chigozie Onwuka, ASP Joseph Akubo and other police officers that vicariously or directly took part in the catastrophic mayhem. The PSC investigation under demand is for purpose of ascertaining the enormity of professional misconducts of the named officers and their immediate dismissal from the NPF if found culpable.

The two detailed letters, referenced: INTERSOC:001/12/19/OSGF/ABJ/NG and NTERSOC:002/12/19/PSC/ABJ/NG, dated same 16th Dec 2019, were signed by Lawyers Obianuju Igboeli, Head of Civil Liberties & Rule of Law, Chinwe Umeche, Head of Democracy & Good Governance and Ndidiamaka Bernard Chinaza, Head of Int’l Justice & Human Rights; and Emeka Umeagbalasi, a Criminologist & Master of Science, Peace Studies & Conflict Resolution and Chair of the Board of Intersociety. The Principal Officers also signed this statement. The letters have since been successfully delivered to their recipients through offline and online modes. They were also copied to the Attorney General of the Federation, Barr Abubakar Malami, SAN.

“In the Oraifite catastrophic mayhem, the Nigeria Police and their partners in crime including soldiers gravely messed up and acted abominably and atrociously; and having realized the quantum of ‘service’ atrocities perpetrated including massive burning and destruction of properties, they hurriedly resorted to ‘frame-ups’ and ‘collateral atrocities’ so as to escape justice and moral damnation. Remember similar service atrocities in Sept 2017 in Abia State when having realized the gravity and enormity of atrocities perpetrated against the defenseless citizens of the State including massacre and maiming of hundreds in three days, the Defense Headquarters and the Federal Government hurriedly declared the victim group (IPOB) a “terrorist group” so as to escape local and int’l justice. Unless all the ‘service’ perpetrators in the Oraifite mayhem are fished out and punished accordingly, otherwise, such ‘service’ atrocities will become a routine or operational tradition in the Nigerian security and defense establishments”, Emeka Umeagbalasi, a criminology and security graduate and head of Intersociety said today.

SGF’s Powers & Functions Upon Which We Wrote

The letter to the SGF was in recognition of powers and functions so vested, numbering fifteen. The SGF is also a creation of Section 171 (2) (a) of the Constitution of Nigeria 1999 as amended. The Powers and functions of the SGF important and relevant in the instant case include: serving as (a) Secretary to the Council of State or Federal Executive Council, (b) coordinating the activities of Ministries and Government Agencies on the implementation of Government decisions, policies and programs, in addition to dealing with constitutional, political and socio-economic matters as may be referred to by the Presidency; and (c) coordinating Administrative Tribunals (or Investigation Board), Commissions and Panels of Enquiry; and national security and safety matters.

‘Joint Investigation Board In Our Mind’ & Its Terms Of Reference

The ‘Joint Investigation Board’ under request is not ‘a Commission of Enquiry’ or ‘a Judicial Commission of Enquiry’, which is or are ‘toothless bulldog’ and ‘time wasting’. Ours is ‘a Joint Investigation Board’ with ‘criminal elements’ and ‘civil elements’ content and functionality; to be subdivided into ‘criminal’ and ‘civil’ investigations sub boards. Members of the ‘criminal investigation sub board’ shall be drawn (not monopolize) from ‘DMI’, ‘SSS’, ‘Force CID’, ‘Office of the National Security Adviser’ and ‘the Police Service Commission’ and may further include ‘civil’ or independent criminologists, criminal lawyers, ‘crime investigative journalists’ and intelligence experts.

The ‘criminal’ investigation sub board shall have specific task of ascertaining ‘criminal involvements and their degrees’ by ‘service’ and ‘civil’ parties. ’Service’ Parties to be thoroughly investigated include the Anambra State Commissioner of Police (John Abang), the Oraifite Area Commander (Oliver I. Inoma-Abbey), the Oraifite DPO (CSP Alexander Chigozie Onwuka), the OC/SARS, Ichi (ASP Joseph Akubo), the Commander of Onitsha 302 Artillery (Brig Gen Yukubu Bwala) and all the Police and Army sub commanders and combatants that participated in the mayhem.

The ‘civil’ parties and circumstances to be investigated or ascertained include (a) the Otu-Eke and the Otu-Afor Oraifite Masquerade clash/violence of Saturday, 30th Nov 2019 (from where the Police first allegations of: ‘abduction’, ‘assault occasioning body harm’ and ‘malicious damage to properties’ emanated), (b) Emeka Offor (mentioned and indicted in the Barr Ifeanyi Ejiofor’s petition to the Nigerian Bar Association and important others), (c) Barr Ifeanyi Ejiofor (the chief victim), (d) domestic staff and volunteers left in the Ejiofors’ compound to tidy up the compound and items used during the family’s funeral ceremony, (e) Barr Ifeanyi Ejiofor’s elder brother, Evangelist Emeka Ejiofor (the key eyewitness) and (f) other eyewitnesses who may volunteer to speak or can be independently identified.

Others are (g) circumstances surrounding the ‘service’ killing of no fewer than four defenseless citizens in the Ejiofors’ compound and the whereabouts of their corpses, (h) claims by the Police of killing of ACP Oliver Inoma-Abbey and ASP Joseph Akubo including whether truly they were killed and if true, when, where and how they were they killed; and the whereabouts of their bodies, (i) true identities of the two unidentified citizens killed and set ablaze in a police van, stage-managed and dramatized by the Police hundreds of meters away from Barr Ifeanyi Ejiofor’s compound and the ‘service’ identities of those who killed and set them ablaze, (j) properties burnt or destroyed and the ‘service’ identities of those who burnt or destroyed them, (k) the remote and immediate circumstances surrounding the early morning and late morning surveillance and violent invasions of the Barr Ifeanyi Ejiofor’s family compound by the Oraifite Area Commander and his DPO; later joined to perpetrate the unspeakable mayhem by the Ichi SARS operatives, their OC and others including soldiers of the Onitsha Army Cantonment.

The ‘civil investigation sub board’ shall have responsibility to unmask the ‘civil elements or involvements’ in the unspeakable mayhem including number of properties such as dwelling houses, street trading stores, house-hold properties, domestic livestock and automobiles burnt or destroyed; extent of their burning or destruction, location(s) and ownership of the burnt or destroyed properties, their current market value, ‘service’ and civil persons or parties (if any) openly involved, persons or authorities to be responsible for their rebuilding or replacement or compensation, and any other such civil findings necessary. Members of the ‘civil’ investigation sub board shall be drawn from Your Honor’s Office and others; the standing oversight committees in the Senate and the House of Reps including Police, National Security, Defense, Army, Intelligence and justice.

What Must Be Done With The Joint Investigation Outcomes

Unlike the ‘toothless bull dog’ patterns and trends associated with ‘Administrative’ or ‘Judicial Panels or Commissions of Inquiry’ in Nigeria or any part thereof, the Joint Investigation Board of our preference shall have their outcomes perused, separated and divided into ‘criminal findings’ and ‘civil findings’. All the ‘service persons or authorities’ criminally indicted no matter how highly placed must be arrested, disengaged from their ‘service agencies’ and prosecuted by the Attorney General of the Federation.

The ‘civil findings’, on the other hand, shall address the issues of rebuilding all the burnt properties or commensurate monetary compensations to their owners; written apologies to the wronged including the chief victim (Barr Ifeanyi Ejiofor) and all members of his nuclear and extended family so affected, adequate compensations to the families of the slain and the wounded as well as incorporation of the lessons learnt into the country’s operational security and safety policies particularly the now ‘routinized’ ‘service’ wanton burning or destruction of properties belonging to members of the public on account of allegation of death of ‘service’ officers in the line of their illegitimate or otherwise duties. To ensure maximum success, we are ready to assist where necessary particularly to ensure fair hearing and fair treatment for all the parties involved.

In our second letter to the Chairman of the Police Service Commission, INTERSOCIETY strongly demanded for thorough and impartial investigation of the involvement(s) and roles of the Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP John Abang, the Oraifite Area Commander, ACP Oliver Inoma-Abbey, the Divisional Police Officer of the Oraifite Divisional Police Station, CSP Alexander Chigozie Onwuka, the Officer-in-Charge of the Ichi Unit of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS), ASP Joseph Akubo and other police officers who vicariously or directly participated in the catastrophic Mayhem. They shall be investigated and sanctioned, if culpable, whether living or dead.

Investigate burning, killings in my home - Kanu's lawyer pleads to International community

December 5, 2019 | The Biafra Times

Emma Elekwa

Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, lawyer to leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has called on the international community to investigate the killings and burning of his home in Oraifite, Ekwusigo local government area of Anambra state.

Ejiofor’s call is coming less than 24hours he was declared wanted by the Police over alleged cases of conspiracy, murder, treasonable felony, arson, and armed robbery.

Speaking through a video clip, the legal practitioner said the incident has rendered him homeless.

He further alleged that over thirty persons were murdered and burnt in the process, including those running into the houses for safety.

He said, “I am calling on responsible International Organisations, European Union, United Nations, United States of America, United Kingdom and also Amnesty International, to get involved and investigate the carnage in my house because as I speak to you now, I am homeless. They have burnt down virtually everything.”

Ejiofor maintained that no corpse of any police officer was found in his premises including their vehicle, as alleged.

“No Police was killed. They took the corpses of the people they killed in my house to Onitsha/Owerri expressway, burnt them and also burnt the vehicle.

“It is important to clarify that many people were killed in that process. Now I learnt that many people that were running into the houses were burnt down along.

READ ALSO: Oraifite Killing: Deadly intent to eliminate Nnamdi Kanu's lawyer failed; Police resort to falsehood and deception

“So until when an access is given to people who will investigate what transpired in my house, then we can be able to determine the number of people that were actually killed.

“Because I can assure you that twenty to thirty people have been murdered in my house on the account of this incident. And my mum also was gunned down. She sustained bullet injuries, though she is receiving treatment.

“So I do not know the offences I have committed for becoming a lawyer of IPOB. I do not know where I got it wrong. This is a person that has been at home since Sunday 27th of November 2019 till Sunday 1st of December 2019, when we went for the afternoon service,” he stated.

According to Ejiofor, the Area commander was in his house at about 6:00am where he promised to be in his office at about 10:00am to11:00am.

He said he was shocked when he was informed that his home had been overrun by the military personnel.

His words, “On Sunday, being the 1st day of December 2019, at about 8-9pm, I was called by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Oraifite Police Station. He never passed any message to me.

“Then in the morning of Monday 2nd December 2019, at about 6am, I got a call from my elder brother, Evangelist Emeka Ejiofor, that the Nigerian police had invaded my premises, led by the Area Commander himself.

“So I requested to speak with the Area Commander and the request was obliged. The conversation was fairly recorded. I requested to know why they were in my house because at the time in question, I was not around.

“So, he said that they came for one of my wards who participated in a local conflict and demanded to see me, but I told him that I was out to somewhere and will be back by probably around 10:30 to11am.

READ ALSO: Nigeria, a Den of Murderers

“And that when I come back, I will come to the station to see him and find out what really transpired and why he was in my house. So he said ok that he will grant me that request but he emphasized that time is of essence and I should keep to it.

“So I became worried because I came back since 24th of November 2019 for my brother’s burial and have been around since then. The burial was conducted on Thursday 27th of November 2019.

“We stayed till Sunday 1st December 2019, when we went out for afternoon service. I never had any issues with anybody. I never stepped out of my house. I have been indoors, receiving visitors and sympathizers from all works of life.

“When I came back around 10am, I briefly had a discussion with my mother, whom I told that I was going to see the Area Commander to find out why they were in my house.

“But on a second thought, I decided to go and see my uncle who will accompany me in that movement. So I had already left my house to my uncle’s place where I would pick him. And that served as a saving grace to the carnage and disaster because the target was me.

“We were on our way going to the Area Commander’s office, taking Ama conventional road, when I got a call from my younger brother that policemen were in my house and they had opened fire on all living objects in my home including all persons in my house.”

Ejiofor further explained that he was shocked reading the statement from the State Police Command’s report.

“Assuming without considering to the fact that someone lodged a complaint against me in the case of abduction and all those frivolous offenses, is that sufficient enough to warrant them using force on the people they found in my premises? Firing at random, killing people there and also burning houses?

“I am a lawyer with addresses. I have two chambers, one in Abuja and one at Anambra State and I practice. I am a very serious legal practitioner. I go to court almost everyday. So I am not going to run away from the police.

He said he has enjoyed over ten years of unbroken relationship with the police higher ranks.

“They can attest to that fact at Abuja. They know me as a peaceful man and as a gentleman. I relate with them at all capacity. I do not look for problem and I am not an enemy of the police. So why should they invade my house? Why should such a thing happen?” he queried.

Meanwhile, the Police Command has maintained that a case was lodged against the lawyer, adding that the identity of the complainant was being kept secret for security reasons.

Speaking through the Police spokesperson, Haruna Mohammed, the police also queried his alleged surrounding of his residence with members of the pro-Biafran group.

He said, “In my press release I stated clearly that there was a complaint of alleged abduction, assault occasioning harm and malicious damage against the suspect which he also confirmed in the video he circulated in the social media.

“If he is not dangerous, why did he surround his house with armed men suspected to be IPOB members when he knew that Police are coming after declining Police invitation?

“You don’t need a lawyer to tell you that charges can only come when investigation is concluded and a prima facie case established.

“As to who is the complainant, Police has a duty to conceal his identity for security reasons especially in a sensitive matter such as this.”

Oraifite Killing: Deadly intent to eliminate Nnamdi Kanu's lawyer failed; Police resort to falsehood and deception

Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, IPOB counsel and lawyer to Nnamdi Kanu

December 3, 2019 | The Biafra Times

 IPOB PRESS RELEASE

The unprovoked Nigeria police and army invasion of the home of our lawyer Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor barely four days after the painful burial of his senior brother is proof that those running Nigeria have descended into the abyss of iniquity from which they may never recover. Not even during the darkest days of Abacha's dictatorship did anyone witness such brazen intimidation of a legal counsel or the attempted assassination of a defence counsel in a high profile case.

It is the golden rule of every legal system under the Sun that defence counsels are not harassed, intimidated or killed but it seems under this Fulani dictatorship of Abba Kyari led cabal, nothing is sacrosanct. We don't expect the roundly docile and cowardly Nigeria Bar Association or their impotent and subdued National Judicial Council to rise up in condemnation of this contemptuous behaviour by Aso Rock in this latest attempt to kill Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor. This level of dictatorial impunity against the rule of law, judicial process and natural justice must not be condoned by any right-thinking person.

In their usual predictable manner, the Fulani run Nigerian Police through their Public Relations Officer one Haruna Mohammed in Anambra State have issued a self-incriminating statement ladden with blatant lies, falsehood and deception. For the police to say there was a criminal complaint against Barrister Ejiofor bothering on assault and kidnapping four days after the funeral of his brother is most stupid and laughable. Criminal complaint from who? Who did he kidnap, the body of his dead brother? Who did he assault, Justice Binta Nyako? Where, when and how did he commit these crimes? The Nigeria Police never wrote to Barrister Ejiofor neither did they invite him to their station. This is a black lie. If they did, they should release the call log of the phone they claim they used in calling him. Does the Nigerian Police think the public is as daft as they are? The only reason for this unprovoked criminal invasion with deadly intent is to kill Barrister Ejiofor and to stop him from attending Federal High Court Abuja next month where he has all but defeated the Attorney General in the matter of Federal Government of Nigeria versus IPOB because Nigeria has no case against IPOB. The same strategy of invade and kill doctrine they deployed in Isiama-Afaraukwu the home of our leader on 14 September 2017 a month before he is due in court is what played out in Oraifite yesterday.

The Nigeria Police claim two of their officers were killed by IPOB members but there were four dead bodies in the burnt-out police vehicle. What any investigative journalist worth his salt should ask is, who are the other two victims, where did they come from and what were they doing in a police van? Answers to these questions will reveal that Nigeria Police Command in Anambra State are unrepentant liars. The truth remains that Nigeria Police and Army went to the home of Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor with the sole purpose to kill him before next month's court date as is now their tradition. On getting there they opened fire on unarmed civilians as usual and the two men that came out of the house were shot dead instantly. The police carried their dead and dying bodies into their van to conceal evidence and drove off. These are facts backed by evidence Anambra Police cannot deny.

After killing two unarmed and innocent civilians, before they left the police doused Barrister Ejiofor's home with petrol and set it on fire. This was the reality yesterday in Oraifite Anambra State. It was the carelessness of the police in handling the petrol they used to drench Barrister Ejiofor's home and nearby businesses before setting them on fire that trailed back and led to the fire that gutted their van.

It is on record that IPOB remains a peaceful movement, therefore, this latest desperate attempt by this lying Fulani controlled Nigeria Police to equate our activities with their home-grown Miyetti Allah (Fulani herdsmen) terrorist organisation is a waste of time.

Nigerian Police and Army invade the home of my lawyer in Anambra state, two people killed, many injured - Mazi Nnamdi Kanu

Confirmed reports indicate that a combined team of Nigeria police and military assassination squad invaded the home of my lawyer Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor in Oraifite Anambra State this morning Monday, December 2, 2019, in a bid to kill him and his family. Sadly three innocent Biafrans were killed by this invading Fulani force at his residence.

This comes on the heel of yet another killing of two IPOB family members who were peacefully gathered in Arondizuogu yesterday 1 December. Their bodies are still in the morgue. Fulani caliphate police and army must know that the time is fast approaching when British diplomatic clout and protection may not be enough to shield them from the consequences of their daily crimes against innocent Biafrans. Attacking the home of my lawyer is a step too far and the only effect it will have is to hasten the disintegration of Nigeria.

There is a United Nations Mission, US Embassy, British High Commission and other highbrow foreign diplomatic presence in Nigeria who should take note of this ugly development and convey same to their home countries. It is their responsibility to ensure this wanton brutality, lawlessness and anarchy being engineered by the Fulani caliphate led by Abba Kyari's government against the people of Biafra is duly noted for what it is, an act of war.

Those responsible for this deadly assault know they will pay dearly for it, they know, its only a matter of time.
