IPOB Received Honorary Award In Ireland, An Edge To The Biafra Freedom Struggle

IPOB Received Honorary Award In Ireland, An Edge To The Biafra Freedom Struggle

With much pleasure, the Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB) ably led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu acknowledged their receipt of the honorary award won by the IPOB Ireland family of the freedom movement in the event of St Patrick's Day parade, held in Cork County on the 17th March 2023.

The  award was handed over to supper proud IPOB Ireland on Thursday, March 23rd.

Considering the importance of this award to IPOB, especially at this time of the freedom struggle when the fantastically corrupt Nigeria government is hell-bend on blackmailing the movement, IPOB says a very big thank you to the Irish government, to the event organizers and to everyone who contributed in one way or the other to make this success come through. IPOB will forever remain law abiding to the Irish government and to every of her host nations and peoples, worldwide.

This award clearly speaks volumes - IPOB is a self-determination movement recognised by Nations of the world as lovers of freedom, peace, justice and fairness. Nigeria is the only place where peaceful freedom agitators are tagged terrorists while killers are pardoned.

IPOB further expresses optimism about the future, and the possibilities it hold for more wins and awards of this kind.

"The worldwide IPOB family will continue to be seen in the true light of what the movement represents; good of humanity at large. We will not stop in our strive towards making Biafra an independent Nation, free from the enslavement of Nigeria"- a member said.

PRESS STATEMENT: POLICE REPORT ON IPOB ALLEGED PLAN TO ATTACK LAGOS -- AFENIFERE replies NPF

 MAY 11, 2021 | The Biafra Times

1) The attention of Pan  Yoruba groups has been drawn to reports by the Nigerian Police Force, NPF that Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, (IPOB-IGBO) are planning to attack Lagos. The Lagos State Commissioner Odumosu made the allegation in Lagos today. He speaks for the police high command in Abuja.

2) While we cherish the  responsibility of the police to do their work, we are concerned about the public declaration of the alleged IPOB plans to attack Lagos by the Nigerian Police

3) We are worried that since the police already claim to be in possession of what appears to be a confidential information, the proper thing would have been to discreetly go after the IPOB members to arrest them unless the police is not sure of its information.

4) The police statement carries the possibility of being misinterpreted as an Igbo plot against Lagos and Yoruba people. This is dangerous given the fragile nature of Nigeria.

5)We are deeply concerned that the Police publicly declared allegations tempts the prospect of setting Yoruba in the South West against Igbos. This is very unfortunate at a time that state institutions are increasingly being turned to instruments for pursuing primordial ethnic interests. The Yoruba will work never to allow this to happen

6)We are concerned that terrorists and armed herdsmen of Fulani extraction have openly been attacking, kidnapping, raping and killing Yoruba people in the South West but at no time did the police call a press conference to announce such plan after before or after each horrendous killings. There was also never a time the police linked such attacks to any ethnic group.

7) Only recently, Yoruba in Mile 2 were attacked by these people, the police did not make any attempt to speak about the ethnic identity of the perpetrators yet we know they are largely from a section in the North.

😎 We are concerned that the police allegation risks setting a greater danger of ethnic conflict between Igbo and Yoruba people, conscious that this will benefit a certain group who think setting Igbo against Yoruba will meet the objective of scuttling the search for peaceful self determination by the two great civilisations

9) We urge the police not to allow themselves to be used by the desperate Caliphate whose agelong dream is to divide the South and set the people against each other for its own narrow gains

10) We urge Yoruba people to ignore the conscious attempts to cause ethnic conflict between Igbo and Yoruba at this time that both ethnic groups need each other.

11) The police should avoid ethnic profiling. It is dangerous. The Pan Yoruba groups assure of our collective desire to sustain peaceful coexistence between Igbo and Yoruba and avoid any slide into ethnic conflict, an ill wind that blows no one any good. To this end, we shall set up a Committee to work out a platform to sustain ethnic harmony in Lagos.

12) On police plan to attack agitators for Yoruba self determination, We urge the police have respect for internation laws and should signify the basic democratic principle which is the right of a people to debate their political and economic future.

Oduduwa: Aole Curse Returns to Life As The North Shuns Yoruba, Appoints Dankaka As FCC Chairman

By Eluwa Chidiebere Chinazu | Biafra Writers

May 14, 2020

The appointment of a Northerner, Farida Dankaka, as the new chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC) by the Buhari led government, left the whole Yoruba land in grief. On the 5th of May 2020, the entire Yoruba land was disappointedly spellbound at the development, haven believed the position is rightfully theirs going by the constitution.

The former dispensations of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and Olusegun Obasanjo, recognizing the constitution, had appointed FCC Chairman from the North and its Secretary from the South. The Yoruba, not learning from their past dealings with the Fulani, had expected that the same would apply in Buhari era. Shockingly however, both the post of chairman and secretary were given to the North.

It beats my imagination how a government that the Yoruba have done everything possible for turns around to stab them at the back and yet, like an idiot child, the Yoruba keep protecting it. This has left me wondering if there is any agreement at all between the North and the Yoruba over 2023 presidential election. Might just be the Yoruba cowardice that's playing out.

Just curses often come to fruition. Aole curse has brought disunity in Yoruba land. I am not being a racist, but when a duplicitous people are cursed, then expect the worst. Disunity can bring about anything you can think of. It's like a raving rage ransacking the abode of its victim. It destroys, it betrays and it kills vision. I now ask: will the Yoruba be twice put down as Michael Nostradamus said?

A federal and sensitive executive body like the Federal Character Commission (FCC) established to implement and enforce the Federal Character Principle of fairness and equity in the distribution of public posts and socio-economic infrastructures among the various federating units that make up the country shouldn't in any shape or form breach the constitution.

Is Yoruba's dream of 2023 still alive? Are they still nursing the dream of making one of their sons Nigeria’s president in 2023 after losing out on FCC? They are neglecting Aole curse that has made them slave to the North and now about to bring desolation to their land.

Action is Better Than Words of Fury

July 13, 2019

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu reacted to the death of the daughter of Afenifere Chairman, Funke Fasoranti Olakunrin who was brutally murdered on Friday, July 12, 2019, along Akure - Ore road when her vehicle was attacked by Fulani herdsmen terrorist group.

The IPOB leader wrote thus on his official Facebook page in reaction to the death of Late Mrs. Funke Olakunrin, 58;

The brazen terror attack on Yoruba soil by Fulani terrorists yesterday must not go unanswered. Let the murder of the daughter of Afenifere Chairman Funke Fasoranti Olakunrin by Fulani terrorists be another sombre but timely reminder to the great Yoruba race and their media in particular that supporting evil has its unintended consequences.

I hate to say it but this sad incident goes to underscore the prediction I made long ago - that this Government of Nigeria as constituted from 2015 is a murderous Fulani Wahabbi cabal on a Jihadi mission to terrorise, subjugate and enslave everybody unfortunate enough to be part of the  British colonial experiment gone mad called Nigeria.

I specifically warned the Yoruba race and their dominant media that supporting Fulani atrocities against Biafra and suppression of the truth about the true identity of Jubril Aminu Al-Sudani because of Tinubu's 2023 presidential ambition will not only be counter-productive but will turn around to consume them. They called me a merchant of hate speech. Today I ask them, what is happening?

It is unfortunate that at a time of great peril like this, weak men hand-picked by the same Fulani caliphate that are persecuting everybody today, are the ones in charge of the leadership of the South. Fulani terror will only stop when we confront them with an equal force, mere words will not do it.

An immoral and spineless Yoruba media should shoulder the blame for the death of this prominent Yoruba daughter and the wider rampaging savagery of Fulani herdsmen across Nigeria. They failed to objectively report the truth but instead chose to malign and attack IPOB that saw the danger the country was sliding into way ahead of everybody.

The time for the mother of all popular resistance is now not tomorrow. Only an IPOB led mass revolution will save the day because we are the only ones with a history of resistance against the vandals from the Sahel.

The sooner the youths of the Middle Belt and South West rise up to join IPOB to dismantle the Zoo and chart a new course for the respective ethnic nationalities that make up Nigeria, the better our chances of survival or else we are all doomed.

Press statements and lamentations will not stop the invaders, only concrete mass action can and we are ever ready.

Biafra: Don’t Even Talk About Re-Arresting Nnamdi kanu Conduct PLEBISCITE To Enable Biafrans go -Chief Mbazulike Amaechi Warns Buhari

August 29th 2017

First Republic Minister of Aviation has charged the Federal Government to conduct a plebiscite to enable the Igbos decided if they want to be part of Nigeria or not.
He said it does not make any sense under the existing circumstances to threaten re-arresting the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.
Igbos, he said, are obviously tired of being part of the Nigerian federation and want to leave.
The former aviation boss was responding to question on the call for a restructuring of Nigeria and the threat by the Federal Government to crack down on Nnamdi kanu and IPOB.

He said: ”If I wake up and say, I would go and blow up Aso Rock, would I be arrested, or when I march to Aso Rock fully armed? Why the focus on Nnamdi Kanu, what of the other Arewa yoths who are committing similar or more grievous offences? What has been done to them? If Kanu breaks the law, let him be punished, not when he is unarmed and just making statement that his people are not being treated fairly. What Kanu is saying is that Igbo want to go, if you don’t agree with him, put it to plebiscite. That is how it has been done in other places. Scotland said it wanted to leave United Kingdom, and they put it to plebiscite, majority said they didn’t want to go away.

I don’t see why it should be different in Nigeria. Plebiscite does not amount to war.
In America, since Donald Trump came to power, two states have expressed the desire to quit US, has anybody killed them? The only thing is that when the demand becomes serious, the government will give the opportunity for the people to decide.

What has been done to the Arewa youth who said their leaders were the ones who asked them to issue the quit notice? Yes, we know who is sending them to do what they are doing, the politicians are behind them and we are not deceived. What of those behind the anti-Igbo songs, what has the government done to them? What efforts have the security agencies made to bring them to book?, he queried.

Biafra: Arewa Suspended "Quit Notice" Is Political; Come Back Home Before October 1

Press Release:

August 25, 2017

It's inconsequential to IPOB whether the 'quit notice' rescinded or not because it will in no way impact the pace and direction of our effort to restore Biafra. We urge all southerners in the core North to return home before October 1 as history will most definitely repeat itself.

Southerners were massacred in the pogroms of 1966 and 1967 after similar assurances were issued then that people should remain in the North. The presence of a serving governor and senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria during the supposed press briefing confirms what we have always known that the incitement to genocide which is what then 'quit notice' is all about, has the blessing of the Arewa political class.

It betrays the mindset of those clamouring for One Nigeria as irredeemable blood thirsty psychopaths shielded hiding behind ethnic bigotry to unleash what will amount to the 15 mass murder of non indigenes resident in core Arewa North. If President Buhari is at all serious about clamping down on hate speech, he should arrest those behind the 'quit notice' along with their sponsors.

Trying to drag the name of our revered leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu into their unintelligent blood fest will be resisted. If the idea is to cower our leader with calls for his arrest, then those behind the genocidal edict of Igbos must leave the North are even more dumb than we thought. Nigeria is crumbling today before our eyes due to the arrest of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, those wishing for him to be arrested again is basically signing the death warrant of Nigeria.

Our quest to restore Biafra is unstoppable and the sooner the Islamic Arewa North knows this, the better for everyone. If Nigeria has any case against Nnamdi Kanu they should present it before the law courts not recruiting barely literate street urchins to issue a threat of mass extermination of Igbos living in the North. We are not afraid of the fabled Fulani hegemonic juggernaut that has literally steamrolled every other ethnicity in Nigeria into submission because we are Biafrans. Threats don't have any effect on us, so our advice to Arewa North is to please stick to the October 1 deadline or else they have no honour.

Biafra: Buhari Commanding Nigerian Army To Kill Biafra Security Service Is A Hight Of Double Standard- See Pictures of Hisbah, Sharia Police

August 24, 2017

The leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has said that he set up the Biafra Security Service so as to provide security for Biafrans people.

Kanu, who spoke yesterday shortly after his visit to Senator Enyinna Abaribe, said the federal government had failed to protect the people.

He said Fulani herdsmen has been killing Biafra people while the police failed to address the issue.

He said:

“I will not do anything that will bring dishonour to my people. There is no reason for people to be afraid of the internal operation of IPOB.

“We want to stop the menace of Fulani herdsmen in our land. In the north, they have the Hisbah police, they have the Sharia police. They even have the Janjaweed police. Here, we have nothing.

“We need to protect this very land. We want to protect the Fulani men from rustling.

“The police have done nothing. Fulani herdsmen are operating everywhere.

“President Buhari spoke; he never mentioned the menace of Fulani herdsmen. His interest was Biafra agitation. It doesn’t work for me. I am a Biafran.”

Radio Biafra Further took to their facebook page to cry out;

The Nigerian government has continued her double standard on issues of national discourse. Passionate hatred and gross marginalization is when Hisbah sharia police is operational in Northern Nigeria while Southern Nigeria is left at the mercy of Fulani herdsmen.
Again, Hate and marginalization is when Hisbah sharia Police is fully operational in Northern Nigeria and there was no threat from Nigerian government to clamp them down but the emergence of Biafra Security Service (BSS) has been condemned from all quarters and the Nigerian government has called the DSS, Nevy, Army and Police to arrest, detain and even kill our people because a non-violent security outfit was established in the old Eastern region to protect our people.

When we talk they will tag it a hate speech, you cannot beat a child and tell him not to cry, we shall resist this intimidation with the last drop of our blood.

BIAFRA: ODUDUWA YOUTH BOYCOTT ELECTION, SAYS NO POSITIVE OUTCOME FROM PREVIOUS VOTES

July 26 2017

Young Nigerians in some parts of Lagos have expressed their dissatisfaction with their leaders by refusing to be part of the voting exercise during the council polls in the state.

At about 11.15am, our correspondent, who went round Oshodi and its environs, observed many youths playing football on major streets in the area.

Many of them said the state and federal governments had not done anything significant to make their lives and communities better.

“We don’t want to vote because our leaders have not done anything for us, the roads are bad, no electricity, what is the essence of voting then, said 24-year-old Adeyemi Sunday.

Similarly, another youth, Olu, 26, said he did not have a voter’s card. “Even if I did, I will not vote,” he said.

“They are not concerned whether we vote or not. They (elected officials) would still get into office despite our votes and do nothing,” said 21-year-old John Onwuka.

Biafra: Breaking! Afenifere Tells Southerners To Leave The North; Northern Elders Backing Their Youths

June 10, 2017

Following the October 1 ultimatum issued by Arewa Youths Forum to the people of South-East origin living in the northern parts of the country to leave the region, the apex Yoruba socio-cultural organisation , Afenifere, has called on all Southerners resident there to start returning home.

Rising from an emergency meeting held by the group to discuss the state of the nation in Lagos on Thursday, Afenifere said all Southerners should see the quit notice not as meant for Igbo people alone, but the rest of their counterparts from the region.

Afenifere chieftain, Senator Femi Okurounmu who was present at the meeting told Saturday Sun that the quit notice by the Arewa youths should be taken serious in view of historical experience.

“This quit notice by the northern youths should not be seen by any wise Southerner as being meant for only people from the South-East, or that it is an empty threat. These northern youths meant business, and not only that, they have the backing of the northern elders, who have not only expressed their support for the youths, but have also affirmed their backing for the quit notice given to the South-Easterners.

These Northerners should not be underrated, and one of the major reasons we are insisting that all Southerners should start coming back to the South now is that when these attacks on them begin, the Northerners will attack all Southerners. How are they going to be separate a Yoruba from Igbo? It is going to be difficult. Southerners shouldn’t be gullible. They should start coming home now. They should not wait until the end of the ultimatum. We don’t want a repeat of 1966-1967 pogrom, when hundreds of people of Southern origin, especially those from the South-East were massacred in the North.

Okurounmu further said that Southerners should not be deceived by the arrest order on the Arewa youths by the Inspector-General of Police, Idris Ibrahim and Kaduna State governor Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, saying such order was only meant to give Nigerians the impression that action was being taken to rein in the youths.

‘‘Have these Arewa youths not been walking the streets free since the Inspector-General of Police and Governor el-Rufai ordered their arrest? The IG is a hypocrite. When crisis broke out in Osun State recently among some Hausa and Yoruba youths, is it not this same IG that immediately under 24 hours of the crisis sent mobile policemen to arrest Yoruba youths, while he left out his Hausa kinsmen? Why is the IG now unable to arrest these Hausa-Fulani youths who issued the quit notice? We are just deceiving ourselves, there is no justice in Nigeria. When an Hausa-Fulani man kills another Nigerian, he has not committed an offence, but when another Nigerian kills Hausa-Fulani man, he has committed an offence and must be punished. That is the Nigeria of today for you’’, he remarked.

However, if Nigeria wants to break up, so be it, let it break up, if it wants to break up. Nigeria will not be the first country to break up . The defunct Soviet Union broke up, heavens did not fall, defunct Czechoslovakia broke up, heavens didn’t fall, and even in Africa, recently Southern Sudan broke away from Sudan and heavens didn’t fall. So, what’s the big deal if Nigeria breaks up? It is not compulsory that Nigerians should live together by force.

On its own part, Yoruba Unity Forum expressed concern over the development, describing the quit notice as not only provocative, but also a shameful act.

The forum, in a statement issued by its Secretary-General, Senator Anthony Adefuye, called for the immediate prosecution of the Arewa youths.
