Instead of an Igbo or Yoruba to be president, let Fulani continue – Nnamdi Kanu

The leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has on Sunday the 10th of January, 2021, highlighted the duplicitous tendencies of the 2023 presidential aspirants and the evil the position holds for the people of the Southern Nigeria.

Kanu while addressing the people quipped, "if you see them shouting Igbo presidency, you will think that they have something upstairs. They have nothing upstairs, all of them.”

Trudging on, the Biafra leader said, "Umahi you want presidency, Orji Uzor Kalu you want Igbo presidency, and may be even Nwobodo wants Igbo presidency. Now let me ask you a question: when Ekwueme came out to contest in 1999 for Igbo presidency, what did you do in Jos, Orji Uzor Kalu? You betrayed Ekwueme. You voted for Obasanjo. Jos PDP convention in 1999. So that time Igbo presidency wasn't good. It’s now that you want it. Orji Uzor Kalu did you vote for Ekwueme in 1999?

Speaking further, he said, “Now let us go to Dave Umahi. Your own brother Peter Obi contested with Atiku under your own political party. You were in PDP but you delivered Ebonyi state to APC against your own brother. Now you want to contest because you felt that should Peter Obi go and succeed and become VP to Atiku, after eight years or thereabout or after four years, Peter Obi will naturally succeed and become the president of the Zoo, thereby spoiling your own chances. What did you do? You campaigned against your own brother, against your own fellow Igbo brother. Now you are talking about Igbo presidency.

Referring to those clamouring for Igbo presidency as a gang of thieves, Kanu maintained that the entire PDP caucus from the East did not vote for Ekwueme. Kanu also accused Umahi of inviting Nigerian army to kill Biafra agitators.

Picking on Nwobodo, Kanu said, “Jim Nwobodo, in 1999 in Jos, you were speaking Hausa against your own brother, Ekwueme. In Jos 1999 you campaigned against your brother. Now you are talking about Igbo presidency.

Asserting that Igbo politicians don't want to support Biafra because of their political interests itself built on greed, kanu dropped the killer punch, “instead of an Igbo man to be the president, or Yoruba for that matter, let Fulani continue since you people prefer to be slaves. Because if we allow any of you idiots to enter into Aso Rock, after about four, five years or six, Fulani will take it back for eternity. You would have benefited from your own wickedness and evil.”
