Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, the former Minister of Aviation as well as Culture and Tourism of Nigeria, has taken to his Twitter account, @realFFK, to salute the leader of the Biafran people, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, for garnering such a great courage to protect and preserve the lives of his people.
In view of the failures of the Nigerian security Chiefs to protect the lives and properties of the Nigerian population, Femi has always spoken of the need for the regions to establish security outfits.
Just as he saluted those behind the establishment of Amotekun in the West, Fani-Kayode has saluted the courage of those behind the Eastern Security Network (ESN) in the East. He went further to encourage the people of the Middle Belt to do the same.
ESN is a security outfit for the Eastern region of Nigeria – Southeast and the geographically nonexistent South-south – meant to protect the land and foster absolute tranquility. For years now, going to farm has been a dangerous undertaking for Biafran women due to the scourges of attack by Fulani herdsmen.
Agnes Okekpe, a middle-aged Biafran woman, was gang raped till she lost consciousness by Fulani herdsmen in Anambra, leading to her death subsequently as she couldn’t recover from it. Many others have been raped and their bodies cut into pieces by the terror-inflicting Fulani herdsmen.
