As Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s agitation for Biafra gathered momentum, many have questioned the genuineness of his campaign as there have been people in time past who surfaced with the Biafra demand but failed along the way.
From the year 2012, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been steering the Biafra freedom drive, awakening the people of the old eastern region (Biafra) to the need of total freedom from Nigeria. Identify the Nigerian state as a political tool in the hands of the British designed to keep Biafra and, by extension, Africa, from economic and technological advancement, Kanu has pushed on with his struggle vigorously. Critics however emerged to question his credibility.
Happy slaves mocked, challenging him to return from his London base if he truly cares for the people as he preaches on airwaves. Not as though they are not aware of Kanu’s unlawful incarceration for two years, the military invasion of his home, and other government commissioned persecutions, but mischief having a better grip on them, they speak to spite.
The grave injuries sustained from the military invasion of his home forced the Biafra leader into fourteen months of incommunicado, paving way for those faulting his strategies to step in and do a better job, but hell no, none of them stepped forward.
With the recent rupture in the leadership circle of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Kanu has once again given space for those that seem to have the quickest path to the restoration project to take lead. Rather than do the needful, they chose the path of gossip.
Dear critics, the road is now clear for you to take lead and do it right. Take lead and guide us to a free state of Biafra. Take lead now or keep quiet forever. If you are not going to lead, then stop sabotaging the efforts of a man who have dedicated all he has to ensure total liberation of his people.
In conclusion, I urge all men and women of goodwill to remain steadfast and resolute towards this project of freedom because Biafra must be restored under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
