Now They Believe the Voice

June 16, 2019

Critics of Radio Biafra London are now hiding their face in shame as the very entity they demeaned has turned out to be the country’s reference point. The level of compliance recorded in each sit-at-home call leaves so little to question about the potency of the outfit.

They disregarded the truth and its propagator, labeling him a lilliputian, and the channel, a pirate radio. The converts who followed the voice of truth were called jobless. But even at the peak of these attacks, the voice of truth kept calling. This substantiates the established saying that truth is like a smoke which nobody can lock the door against.

This lonely voice in the wilderness – Radio Biafra London – could have saved many lives in the Middle Belt had they given ear to its tuition. Had they listened to this voice, the people wouldn't have been plunged in the economic recession that now leads so many to suicide.

Had the red-capped men from Southeast listened to this voice, they wouldn't have been politically and socially irrelevant today. Had this voice been recognized, Justice Onnoghen wouldn't have been humiliated out of office. Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh disbelieved this angelic voice and met his end untimely. But having met these ugly experiences and seeing the way the cards are playing out, they now believe the voice.

The former minister of defense, T .Y Danjuma, has cried over the menace of Fulani Herdsmen and the leniency of the late President Buhari administration, alleging that the late president was pursuing Islamisation agenda and advised the people to protect themselves. Recently, former President Olusegun Obasanjo openly asserted that the incumbent administration is empowering Boko Haram terrorists. Yet these revelations were made beforehand by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu but were dismissed as hate speeches. Now that these statesmen are lending credence to the lone voice, doesn’t Kanu deserve an apology?

As we speak, Libya is on the verge of being taken over by ISIS. And it’s not just Libya, almost the whole of West Africa is experiencing the same fate. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu tried to awaken the people’s consciousness to this early enough but was neglected.

Well, now is the time to embrace Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his message. Now is the time to apologise to him. Now is the time to make amends.
