Biafra Cannot Come Through An Au Fait Means

April 4, 2019

By Eluwa Chidiebere Chinazu | For Biafra Writers

It is not hyperbolical to assert that Biafrans are already at war with the Nigerian government. Biafrans’ fight is centered on self-determination while Nigeria responds violently with armaments like guns, and other biological weapons, such as acid. In war, you don’t divulge or allow your plan of expedition seepage, else the enemy will lay an ambush for you. This is the case of Biafra and Nigeria. Any plan that is geared towards restoring the sovereign state of Biafra, recognized by Nigeria, cannot be successful.

For instance, today in Nigeria, when the issue of restructuring is raised, some people view it as very laughable. This is because the issue had emanated severally and at the end, it failed to see the light of the day. Those who hitherto ventured or championed the cause for restructuring were hunted and killed because of the general belief, or rather an apprehension that a restructured Nigeria will lead to a change in the status quo and perhaps, an express road to outright independence of Biafra.

When the Police operational system is regionalized, then Biafrans will have a Force that can challenge or defend her if they decide to be totally free from Nigeria. The enemy knows this and is lying in ambush against restructuring.

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the People Democratic Party (PDP), was brazenly rigged out, not because he had an Igbo person as his vice but because it was perceived that he was going to restructure the country if elected. Only this, dashed his political ambition in Nigeria.

Knowledge can be acquired with the aid of money but wisdom can’t. I better embrace the advice of a man of wisdom than that of a knowledgeable man. Sometimes in his odyssey to show his hierarchy in command of English words to the public, a knowledgeable person falls apart with his sense of wisdom. Recently, a canister of knowledgeable persons have been infiltrating the internet with articles and short comments on what they would advise the leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to do. Some do so out of concern for the restoration of Biafra while others out of their dubious tendencies to dig the grave for IPOB.

Believed to be knowledgeable persons such as the Catholic cardinal by name Francis Arinze, have advised IPOB to seek for a political solution by creating or joining a political party. It is proficient advice only applicable and/or efficient in saner climes. In Nigerian society, laws and rules are not been respected even by the authorities and custodians of power and people’s mandate. Rigging is brazenly masterminded to the knowledge of a layman. The infamous word “command from above,” never fail to surface whenever the ball rolls against the Nigerian government in politics or legal dispute. If they cannot offer a feathered-ground for IPOB to protest, how will they allow a party or candidate they know is of Biafra extraction to win? For instance, all the candidates IPOB was against in both the presidential and gubernatorial elections were rigged back to the office by the federal might and powers that be. They knew that Biafra pursuit would have gone a long way through that means and so they laid an ambush against the move.

There is no easy way to Biafra freedom. Whichever way Nigeria understands Biafra is approaching, they will attack with excessive, full force. So Biafra cannot come through a means known to Nigeria. IPOB is a devil in the pipeline to Nigeria. They are like oil and water which can never go along with each other.

It is through a means not known to the Nigerian government that Biafra will be restored. But due to the high level of sabotage, IPOB cannot create a political party without the Nigerian government knowing. This substantiates the fact that joining politics is totally off the hook of plans that will usher in Biafra. In this case, anyone suggesting IPOB to go into politics is ironically planning to send IPOB into extinction just like they did with the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB).

Nigeria today is strong due to foreign countries’ influence they have managed to garner with the oil in Biafra land. America, Britain, Russia, France etc, all have their oil companies in Nigeria. This, in a nutshell, complicates issues for Biafra. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, knows what to do in that area. Diplomatic moves can restore Biafra. This is why he said that Biafra needs to be sold to the world. Of course, a freed Biafra will benefit foreign countries and the world at large than a bird-caged Biafra. Nigeria wastes world opportunities to progress as some writers around the world would refer to her as a “Crippled Giant.”

On the other hand, war remains another way to go by if diplomacy around the world fails. In Africa, fear and force have been the two instruments that yield good result in whatever objective you plan to achieve. The colonialist exploited Africa with those two elements. It was out of fear and force that Africa was exploited. Since after colonization, fear and force remain a determining factor for every successful ambition in Africa. This could be seen in history, in the second voyage of Vasco Da Gama to India in 1502. Da Gama stopped at Kilwa Kisiwani in present-day Tanzania in Eastern Africa. Vasco da Gama, a Portuguese, threatened to burn down Kilwa which was an important city for trade in Africa. It was out of fear and by force that the Sultan was compelled to acknowledge the supremacy of the Portuguese king and to pay an annual tribute. This also happened to Zanzibar, another African and the rest of them.

If we must engage in war, I suggest we wait for the right time to attack. Once the opportunity comes, we match. Whichever way, plans should be kept secret. For any plan of IPOB that is known to Nigeria, will be long dead before its arrival.
