A clip from late Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu which has been hidden from the United States of America and the general public by Britain and Nigeria, has eventually surfaced 51 years later. Just like the events of today, Biafrans in early years sought for a referendum to determine their continued existence in Nigeria but Nigeria on her part, blatantly objected to the call and opted to wage an aggressive war against the Biafran activists.
History is definitely about to repeat itself. The question therefore is: why does Nigeria cherish war instead of a roundtable discussion? Attentively listening to this clip will make you understand that late Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu tried in his capacity, to win an amicable settlement through a roundtable discussion with full representation from some other countries, AU and other sections of the country but was roundly rebuffed. But instead, Nigeria insisted on executing a war of aggression against Biafrans.
Another debacle is gradually playing out today, 51 years after. The world is also an accomplice in this war of aggression against the people through it's conspiratorial silence. Will another episode of that gruesome experience be allowed to play out again? Will the International Community permit another weight of annihilation experience to be visited on the Biafran people, in their resilient quest albeit peacefully, to get Biafra unfetteredly restored? The International Community must come to terms with reality and synergize in their support for Biafra referendum to permanently proffer solution to this problem.
