ABIA — The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), in a mammoth crowd on Sunday took to major streets of Aba and its environs, in a rally geared towards awakening the cognizance of Biafrans, worldwide, particularly, Biafrans residing in Aba [Enyimba City] outskirts, vis-Ã -vis the upcoming referendum.
IPOB in Aba marched along major roads, chanting songs of freedom, and also affirming that "Biafrans will refrain from all forms of Nigerian balloting/elections until a referendum is conducted for the exit of Biafrans from Nigeria".
They waved Biafra flags and exhibited placards with inscriptions such as: "Support Biafra Referendum," "A call for referendum is not a call for war," "Free all Biafra detainees," "Biafra Referendum is inevitable," Nigerian army, Produce Nnamdi Kanu, dead or alive," "#Brexit is not different from #Biafrexit," e.t.c
One of its members, in anonymity, charged the people of Biafra to remain resilient, and more than ever before dogged, even as the Biafra referendum is inching closer.
