…Says God, using Biafra to sweep out evil from Nigeria

ENUGU— Renowned Enugu-based spiritual leader, Prophet Anthony Nwoko, has reacted to statements credited to President Muhammadu Buhari during his recent working visit to Ebonyi State that the people of the Southeast should not accede to demands for the restoration of the Sovereign State of Biafra as championed by the Indigeneous People of Biafra, IPOB.

Speaking at the Abakaliki Township Stadium, as part of programmes lined up for his one-day visit to Ebonyi State, President Buhari asked Igbos to work for the country’s unity, saying the agitation for the realisation of Biafra was “a senseless propaganda” being promoted by “some misguided youths” in the region.

Reacting however, the fiery prophet who prophesied that the incumbent Willie Obiano will be returned as the last governor of Anambra state, told Buhari not to rejoice yet, adding that Biafra remains in the hearts of Easterners and that nothing would change or remove that fact, including the proscription of IPOB.

Nwoko who also challenged the President of the apex Igbo socio-cultural group, Chief John Nnia Nwodo, on his position that Biafra agitators should forget Biafra and embrace restructuring, gave Buhari two options to either resign immediately from his position as president of the country or risk Nigeria’s unity.

According to Nwoko, “Buhari should not rejoice yet that he has defeated Biafra as no one can change the word of God. His words must be fulfilled. The proscription of IPOB cannot end Biafra. In fact, that proscription is an act of God to bring down His glory to the people of Biafra. The government must remember Moses in the Bible, Joshua and Caleb, in the roles they played.

“The Buhari-led government has no spiritual backing or power to kill or destroy the Son of Man, the second time in Biafra nation.

“There are two options for Buhari. One, he must step down now for the glory of Christ from the Southeast which has emerged as the light of the world and as the President of the Presidents or Biafrans will say 'bye-bye' to Nigeria and use their birthright glory from above to save their father’s land and get to the promised land. He must step down if he wants unity.

“I want Buhari to know that God is a consuming fire. No nation or individual has fought Him and lived to tell the story. Buhari should know that God punished the nation of Israel because of the sins of one man, Achan. That is how it is everywhere.”

On the part of the Ohanaeze President, Nwoko said Nwodo’s statement lacks merit because it did not come from God, maintaining that Biafra is ordained by God and she has come to stay.

He declared that what remain was “for Igbo leaders to recognize that I Prophet, could proffer the solution to the Biafra question. As a prophet, I’m ready to prove to Ohanaeze that Biafra is ordained by God. It is a glory for the whole world that will begin from the Southeast.”

Continuing, the Prophet said, “The Nigerian government in 1999 used (former President)Obasanjo who was taken out from prison, to come and become the president of Nigeria in order not to allow the glory and light from the East to manifest in the year 2000. In order to conceal this moon from the Southeast of Nigeria, God’s anger came down.

“There has been no peace in Nigeria since the year 2000 till date. Nigeria has been in darkness for the past 57 years since independence. This time is God’s intervention that had come down to sweep the evil in the nation using Biafra as a point of contact.

“Darkness can never comprehend light. Enugu State is the city to watch now, the light has come. The Heaven is going to use the end of this year for celebration and usher in a nation that will flourish with righteousness and prosperity.”

Nwoko also took a swipe on Buhari’s administration and political leaders in the country, saying they should forget about their plans for the 2019 general election.

“The government of Buhari should forget 2019 elections. Time is due for the glorious light of the Southeast to manifest for peace to reign and justice to prevail. Buhari does not possess the spiritual backing to lead Nigeria.

“The present crop of political leaders are parasites to the nation. They’re not spiritually anointed, that’s why Nigerians are suffering. Let Buhari not seek for the wrath of God.”

The 67-year old prophet also condemned the Celestial Church of Christ, Lagos, which according to him destroyed Nigeria and brought enormous suffering to its citizens by trying to conceal the light of the world.

In his message for the Igbo-speaking people of the East whom he described as saviours and messiahs of the world, Nwoko asked them to prepare to celebrate King of Kings at the end of the year for he has fought the battle for his people and that the storm is now over.
