BIAFRA: WHY WE MUST BOYCOTT ANAMBRA ELECTION

By Chidiebere Eberechi Kalu || For Biafra Writers

November 10, 2017

The declaration of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, as terrorists has made it paramount that no sane Biafran should be seen come November 18 queuing and voting for people who tagged you terrorists.

We must boycott Anambra State governorship election because the Nigerian government has killed almost all the people that would have voted them into power for no reason. There is nothing useful to gain when we defy rain and sunshine to vote for those who cannot defend and uphold our inalienable rights to freedom.

Nigeria is a failed State that has nothing to write home about. She is as fake as the lifestyle and campaign promises of its politicians.

During their campaign, you see some of the politicians trekking on the streets, frying Akara or doing one form of menial job or another, some may render help to disabled persons but immediately after the elections, you will see them no more. They tend to forget all their promises, build high walls and then abandon the people to suffer.

The political class in Nigeria are only interested in serving their personal gains and that of their cronies without giving meaningful considerations to the masses they claim to serve. They use the gullible and unemployed youths in the society to achieve their selfish and inordinate ambitions.

On the time of their elections, they promise us heaven on earth which includes building of good roads, steady electricity supply, building of new hospitals and renovation of existing ones, good and affordable education, amongst other numerous promises, in order to gain our support and garner our votes, only to abandon us afterwards.

These so-called Nigerian politicians sends their children to good schools to good schools abroad to get quality education, they take their sick families abroad for medical treatment and they ensure they are well taken care of but they refused to develop their constituencies with similar projects.

The citizens die everyday like no man’s business because of poor medical care, hunger and accidents caused by bad roads. This is why the only hope Biafrans have in this contraption called Nigeria is the restoration of Biafra.
Biafra is the only thing that can stop all these sufferings we are passing through in the hands of the Nigerian government and its politicians.

We Biafrans have decided to get our freedom by restoring the sovereign state of Biafra, and we will begin by boycotting the Anambra governorship election and other subsequent elections in the whole of Biafra land.

As Biafrans, all we need is a date for our referendum and not a date for Nigerian elections. Biafrans are no longer interested in the politics of Nigeria. As humans, it is within our inalienable right to decide not to vote in any election. Until we regain our freedom, Biafrans won't participate in Nigerian elections. Give us referendum.
