According to Anambra State Broadcasting Service, the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB has called for mass participation of its members and residents of the State in Saturday’s governorship election amidst having its members who went to collect their Permanent Voters’ Cards, PVCs, cooling off in various detention facilities in the State.

The Pro-Biafra group made the call during a press briefing organized by its members in Anambra Central Senatorial District, precisely at Ifitedunu in Dunukofia Council Area.

Addressing newsmen, the Anambra Central Zonal Leader of MASSOB, Mr Emmanuel Onwuka insisting that Anambra governorship election must hold, called on its members to come out en masse on Saturday to vote for the candidates of their choice, even as it demanded for the immediate release of 11 of their members who were allegedly arrested by the State Police Command when they went to collect their Voters cards.

One wonders the kind of freedom fighting this highly compromised individuals are engaged in, even as they assured to cooperate with the security personnel deployed to the state to ensure that the exercise is smooth, free and fair.

However, IPOB remains undaunted and unshaken in their resolve to boycott Saturday’s election despite moves and assurances by various groups and individuals to scuttle their “No election” campaign.

  1. Biafrans can now see that MASSOB is now working with the political prostitutes planted in Biafra land by Hausa-Fulani terrorists to destroy us. If this election boycott is successful, Biafra land must be liberated from these political hooligans planted by Hausa-Fulani oligarchy to destroy the land of the rising sun.
