How do you react when you wake to the most dehumanizing,
salty, provocative and criminalizing declaration targeted at your tribe and in
it you were described as "Unruly Igbo" "cruel Igbo” “criminal"
"Rebel" "ungrateful and uncultured Igbos" with the rest of
the utterances masked in implied disgust and utter disdain for Igbo speaking
Biafrans? Hold that thought.
In the said Igbo Quit Notice tagged “Kaduna
declaration” your business, life and livelihood are threatened. You are
considered nothing but a piece of nuisance occupying a patch of land which you
wouldn't have if everything was equal.
This threat was carried out by your
neighbours whom you have been forced into bed with.
These neighbours have their son sitting on
the Nigerian seat of power and have refused to relinquish it even as
incapacitated as the son is. Just because…
These neighbours had you slaughtered arms
and limbs in a pogrom that left their ground soaked and flowing with blood.
These neighbours continually harass you for
believing in something different from them. Hounding and burning you with every
opportunity they get.
These same neighbours house an extremist
sect that has unleashed nothing but terror to our collective abode. Bombing and
terrorizing us as they go.
These neighbours herd their cattle into our
lands, destroy our farmlands, rape our women and slaughter us when we protest they
wreak havoc on us!
These Neighbours!
The crime of Igbo speaking Biafrans has
been their ability to thrive in their land where most of them have failed.
Their eyes are continually on our wealth as they wonder how we manage to glow
in the midst of the furnace they continually cranked up the heat to incinerate
us.
These neighbours hate you for wanting to be
your own man! For trying to get out of a coalition that has brought nothing but
ruin to the Igbo man!
They expect you to be eternally grateful
for the “20 pounds” they handed you after taking away everything from you!
The supreme leader of the Indigenous People
Of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was incarcerated and dehumanized just for
refusing to turn a blind eyes to the suffering of his people. With the rod of
his voice he has continually rained plagues on these oppressors.
Meanwhile, in the Nigerian enclave, a
certain Mr. Shettima Yerima walks free and struts around like a peacock after
declaring that (pay attention to the highlighted words and phrases):“…Since the Igbo have clearly abused the unreciprocated hospitality
that gave them unrestricted access to, and ownership of landed properties all
over the north, our first major move shall be to reclaim, assume and assert
sole ownership and control of these landed resources currently owned , rented
or in any way enjoyed by the ingrate Igbos in any part of Northern Nigeria”
Translation: our primary target is to
pillage and possess all that you possess.
A witness to the Nigerian Genocide
committed against Biafrans from 30th May 1967 – 15th
January 1970 or a student of history would see the same plot to exterminate and
impoverish the Igbo race and Biafrans in general.
Little wonder you are barely taught about
the Genocide misrepresented as a war in schools.
Despite the order for the arrest of the
leader of the Arewa Youths Consultative forum by both The Vice president, Yemi
Osibanjo and Governor Nasir El-rufai, -Yerima still walks free.
In his most recent interview granted to The
Punch Newspaper he boldly declares he is “not on the run and nobody is looking
for him”
He further stated that "you cannot be
in ‘our country’ and begin to clamour for another. Go to your place and declare
your own country not in my zone"
The above statement may sound wise and even
go as far as being applauded by the average mind! But to it I say Tueh!!!! This
is a clear case of grandiose delusion and narcissism.
First, let’s mirror his assertion that
nobody is looking for him and the order of the presidency/Kaduna state
government for his arrest?
Notice anything? Somebody is telling you,
he’s untouchable!
Let’s move again to his statement of “you
cannot be in ‘our country’ and begin to clamour for another” Does the phrase “Our country” sound like a
patriotic statement?
“Chief Justice” Shettima Yerima and his
Supreme Arewa Youths Consultative Forum has tried Ndigbo and found them guilty.
His judgment? The Igbos must leave the North, relinquish their properties or
face the drums. Effective from the 1st of October 2017.
Nigeria to me plays out like a badly
written script of a TV series which the producer has refused to take off air
despite protests from the viewer’s decrying the bad production. Yet, the
producer insists every of its viewer must suffer through the programme in order
to keep dipping his hands into the deep purse which his advertisers has
conspicuously placed within his reach. He even goes a step further to make sure
you can’t opt out from this show. So you are stuck with a bad TV series with no
opting out, with your protests treated like a crime!
This is my best description of the British concocted
contraption, called Nigeria where we are forced to cohabit with these senseless
neighbours of mine.
A disastrous loom is been weaved around the
head of Ndigbo and we seem to be the perfect models for the weavers, adjusting
our heads when necessary to get the right fit for the anarchy that might ensue.
History would be a very poor teacher if we all sit back and consider the words
of Shettima and The Arewa Youths consultative forum as impotent.
Sure steps should be taken to nullify the
threat or I fear for the alternative thought.
The ethnic cleansing and witch hunt that
ensued right after the January 1966 coup which the north paraded as an Igbo
coup and a good enough reason to massacre us!
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the supreme leader of the
Indigeniuos People Of Biafra has called on Ndigbo living in the northern
Nigeria to take the threat from these blood thirtsy neighbours serious and come
back home.
