I am so much enamoured with the ubiquity of updates owing to what we have on ground — THE ELECTION-BOYCOTT. At least this (time) is not going to be like 2015 pre-election period; when we were not completely au fait with the NNAMDI KANU'S PRINCIPLE.
Some people don't know how serious we are. But we are going to show them. If you thought (that) 30th of May was a landmark event, I ask you to wait for the Anambra election. You will be surprised; because there will never ever be any other election in Biafra land until they give us a date for a referendum.
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is a better political thinker. He is not daft by saying we should boycott the election. Boycotting elections is rudimentary to counter(ing) an oppressive and or a repressive regime. To all intent and purposes of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the essence of the election boycott is not only to call the attention of international and local observers. May I also say boycotting election here defines the popular saying: "Actions speak louder than words" The sit-at-home exercise we had is also analogous to that definition.
You could bear me witness that sequel to the exercise of 30th May 2017 (in Biafra land) subsequent 'dramas' have been unfolding; Nigeria is now in a Brownian motion - haphazard, I must say.
It is very much important to note that boycotting election here does not mean 'disenfranchisement' as they will term it; rather you may call it CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE- (There is a clear discrepancy).
The effect that follows boycotting election is primarily to tell the world that you are not part of a given system. Simple! If a higher percentage is achieved credibility question then sets in; to that extent, the supposed government did not come in through a reasonable number of lawful votes(which is ⅔ of the people), makes the regime illegitimate.
More so, you cannot be clamouring for an independent nation and at the same time casting vote for a regime that will swear to uphold the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria. You see, it's contradictory! Ceteris paribus - All things unchanged, if a "credible candidate" wins the election and swears by the fraudulent constitution, he automatically becomes a devil, not out of will, but by impulse, courtesy the constitution he swore to uphold (Obiano as a case study).
Another effect which most of us are laying hands upon is the emergence of wrong people as leaders: Yes. Wrong people will assume leadership, come up with wrong policies, but it will be of ephemeral. The ideological pressure will weigh them down thereby returning to status quo—'The agitation'. But remember it will always be on record that Biafrans or IPOB boycotted the election. On the long run, it will still be basis for external pressure for conduct of referendum
If you have friends in Anambra go and tell them that the November 18 governorship election in Anambra state will not hold if the federal government fails to give us a date for referendum. Not just for the sake of it; we want to send a very clear message to our enemies that we mean business.
If you are close to them in Aso rock, ADVISE them (because we don't beg) that they should give Nnamdi Kanu a referendum date; that's all we are asking. We are not asking for war. Give us a date when we can determine if we want to be part of Nigeria or not - that's all we are asking for. Nothing more, nothing less! Because we are not going to stop. We are unstoppable!

ReplyDeleteNo referendum no election
ReplyDeleteA smart idea and indeed wise decision by IPOB: No referendum no election voting in Biafran land. All Biafrans in SE/SS region must adhere. Because if you continue to vote in Nigerian elections, you make Biafra nation impossible. To boycott all types of election in SE/SS region will lead to restoration of Biafra nation sooner. We must be liberated from the Islamic sharia republic of Nigeria.
