The Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) resident in the South Western part of Nigeria, led by the National Coordinator, Mazi Chukwuma Nwankwo, paid the leader of IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, a solidarity visit on Friday June 9, 2017 at his home town, Ome Udo Palace, Isiama, Afaraukwu in Abia State.
Speaking at the visit, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, firstly, expressed his gratitude over the 30th May Sit-At-Home compliance. He noted that the Heroes' day event has shook Nigeria from its faulty foundation and will continue to shake it. He said, "we did not come out to protest and the entire Nigeria was in total disarray over our united show of determination; what we happen when we come out in mass?"
Berating the heavy military presence in Abia State, Kanu mocked the Nigerian government saying, "they should deploy more DSSS (Department of States Security Services) personnel, more police officers, more armoured tanks and more military helicopters; they are not enough to deter the resilient indigenes of Abia State. From the day I was arrested and flown from Lagos to Abuja by members of the DSS, I have remained fearless before my enemies. In fact, my enemies fear me!

"If I will come to this world again, I will be a Biafran, and in that world, there will be IPOB. The war ended in my father's compound (not by mistake), and we are taking it over from this very ground again. My town is 'Afara', add 'Bi' to it, what do you get? -'Biafra'. Everything was predestinated.
"I tell you, there is no government in the world that does not know about the activities of IPOB. There is no ruler in the world that is not aware of IPOB; and there is going to be 'no retreat, no surrender'. It is either Biafra or Death."
Encouraging the South West Nigeria IPOB leaders, Kanu urged them to work round the clock to ensure the gospel of the restoration of Biafra is preached to the ends of South West Nigeria. He emphasized that everyone presently working towards this restoration project should consider his/herself as among the 'chosen ones' of this history-making generation of Biafrans.
Concluding his speech, he said, "we have committed a lot to this struggle, we have sacrificed even our lives, but until Biafra is restored, we cannot boast of anything yet."

In response to this, the South West National Coordinator thanked the leader of IPOB for his courageous words and assured him that his team will not leave any stoned un-turned in his region until and beyond the restoration of Biafra.
