This protest is coming few days to the upcoming court date of the leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu. Recall that the case was adjourned to 25th of April, following Binta's ruling for secret trial in the case despite several admonitions and opposition from Kanu's legal team. Binta Nyako had on several occasions reiterated that Nnamdi Kanu will be tried according to Sharia law irrespective, resulting to the ongoing protest today in Aba, Abia State.
