BIAFRA:
IPOB HONOURS FALLEN HEROES, WHILE NIGERIA, PAYS TRIBUTE TO ITS WAR CRIMINALS
21st April 2017
The remembrance of our mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters whose lives were snuffed out of them is sacrosanct to us Biafrans. Among those who were gruesomely murdered were those who were in Northern and Western Nigeria during the pre-Biafra-Nigeria war era. These fellows in the spirit of the hoax called “One Nigeria” were killed and their remains mutilated and mass buried.
Also among these victims of cold killings were those families whose houses in Northern and Western Nigeria were incinerated and burnt down with Biafrans living in those houses. That is how gory the flesh and souls of Biafrans were feasted to birds of the air by the unlawful combatants employed by the evil contraption called Nigeria. According to Chinua Achebe, “a fringe element known as “area boys” or the “rent-a-crowd types”- attacked Igbos (Biafrans) in an orgy of blood."

The barbaric and horrific killing of Biafrans by these “rent-a-crowd types” in the Northern and Western Nigeria was succeeded by the Nigerian military's genocide that officially rounded and finished up the killing of Biafran personalities, especially in the Military and Civil service that the street miscreants in the North and Western Nigeria could not lay hold on. The Military carried up an ethnic cleansing overtly and covertly that its result was the mass annihilation of top Biafrans serving in the contraption’s Armed Forces. These great sons and daughters of the rising sun were murdered in cold blood at the endorsement of the Nigerian government.

What of those “Biafran Babies” killed and maimed by Nigerian Military? These “Biafran Babies” (as were called by most media houses who reported of the war) were killed during air raid carried out by the Nigerian Airforce. The Air to surface bombs were dropped on churches, market places, refugees designated centres. These babies and their parents were bombed out of existence by the same army that has not stopped killing us. What of some of these babies who were starved to death through the Awolowo’s satanic economic embargo on Biafrans? Those thousands who died from the British prevalence on francophone neighbouring countries to quarantine Biafran territory?
We must remember inclusively the post-Biafra-Nigeria civil war that saw the state covert killing war survivors. Thousands who demanded their wives and adopted children by the Nigerian Army were responded to with death. Even many Biafran soldiers were secretly assassinated and dehumanised by the post Biafra-Nigeria war Government.
What of those Biafrans killed many years after the war? the likes of Isaac Adaka Boro (9/5/1968), Ken Saro Wiwa (10/11/1995), the Odi killing in Bayelsa (20/11/1999), the Okigwe Killing (2006), the Ezu River Massacre, the Aba Massacre, the Onitsha Head Bridge Massacre, the Nkpor Horror, the Trump’s Solidarity Rally Massacre and other unreported and undocumented state-sponsored killings of Biafran people?

It is crazy to see and hear that those who committed these heinous criminal acts are remembered under the guise of Armed Forces Remembrance Day. These war criminals' graves are decorated with the Nigerian flag and given a national celebration when their bodies ought to be exhumed to face post-mortem trial for their evil deeds. If these war criminals and their likes will be remembered not as war criminals, rather as “heroes and heroines”, what of those Biafrans who stood their ground to say no to slavery? What of those of them who were bombed in the churches, market places, refugee centres. What of those “Biafran Babies” who were starved to death and sucked from their dead mothers' bodies hopelessly?
I think those who were killed in Ogoni, Ijaw, Nembe, Odi, Apo, okigwe, Aba, Onitcha, Nkpọrọgwụ, etc, deserve our sit-at-home. Though their souls yearn for vengeance, we can make them happy by closing down our engagements on 30th May, 2017, to say to them; "We love you and treasure your gallantry."
