IPOB: ARE BIAFRANS THE ONLY PEOPLE BORN TO BE MARGINALIZED AND KILLED IN NIGERIA?

IPOB:
ARE BIAFRANS THE ONLY PEOPLE BORN TO BE MARGINALIZED AND KILLED IN NIGERIA?

3rd September 2016

Many ignorant people keep asking annoying questions like; what do you people want? Are your leaders not responsible for your woes? In what ways are you people marginalized?...etc

My response is simple. Firstly, we lack federal developmental structures.
River Niger lay dormant and inaccessible by ships, and not drained for international use while dry-docks adorn dry northern regions. Why is there no seaport or wharf at the river Niger? Why are Warri Seaport, Calabar seaport [the first seaport in Nigeria], and Portharcourt seaport not functional?

How many international airports adorn Biafra land? Why are there no International Airports in Biafra land? We can only travel abroad via Lagos or Kano and Abuja, why? Is Biafra, with a large population of travellers not fit for an International Airport?

How many flyover bridges, pedestrian bridges are in Biafra? How many federal roads are in good condition in Biafra? How many quality federal institutions are in Biafra land? How many international national stadia are in Biafra land? Not to mention arts theatre, trade centres, etc.

Biafra lays the golden egg for the nation, her rich resources are diverted to other regions for developmental purposes while she languishes in penury and waste. Her people add value to all profitable sectors in Nigeria, both home and abroad yet they are heavily and hatefully charged, taxed and maligned.

Why are Biafrans marginalized?

So-called eastern leaders who sold us out  and gave away their birthright for federal porridges cannot adequately represent us. Their selfish and personal desires and interests, coupled with political ambitions have oiled the saying that easterners love money and betray themselves for it.

TO BUHARI: BUHARI BIAFRA IS HERE, OF WHAT NEED IS YOUR USE OF FORCE?

An average Biafran is hardworking and fervently puts in his best in whatever profession they engage in, be it craftwork, creative ventures, technology, trade, academics, and agriculture. Biafrans are aligned with these occupations. They excel in all spheres of life and all over the world, yet Nigerian government subjugates, and milk them unscrupulously  by taxes, allocation of quotas, oil exploitations. Even in the Biafran oil, Biafrans are still marginalized in the oil-well allocation.

Are Biafrans not marginalized then?

We no longer desire a piece of the cake but to reclaim our cake, our stolen identity, and our rich resources. An adage confirms that "when the owner of the pot comes to take it, she cannot be told it's cooking on the fire" Releasing us is the answer. We are not asking for negotiations or restructuring. We need what belongs to us.

Nigerian government should do the right thing. Release the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu now, not tomorrow and allow Biafrans to go. It is unbelievable that Nigeria cannot survive without Biafra and they are too ashamed to acknowledge it. Nigeria should allow Biafra to go in peace or leave to regret it in the aftermath!
