Nigeria is a country made up of people from different backgrounds, beliefs and religions. Years ago in 1914, Nigeria was invented by a white-man called Frederick Lugard, when he and his European cohorts introduced the concept of amalgamation of Nigeria. The term amalgamation, when used, implies the combination of different things together either forcefully or adherently to achieve a unified result. Hence, Lugard unilaterally combined the various regions that make up Nigeria regardless of their differences.
According to one of his pronouncements, the master and the chief creator of Nigeria – Frederick Lugard made a survey and attested that in Nigeria, the South and the North are like oil and water which can never come together no matter how you try to integrate them. Based on the survey made by Lugard himself, the aim of achieving unity and progress in Nigeria through the amalgamation would amount to failure because naturally, it is only adhesive or cohesive materials that can be unified and not otherwise, therefore the attempt to create a unified Nigeria in the midst of obvious diversities and differences till date, becomes an impossible mission.

In the Bible and in the book of Amos 3:3, a question was asked, can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction? The answer is no! The ugliest challenge that Nigeria faces everyday is the natural impossibility of trying to unite the different diverse regions that were viciously put together by the colonialists, when it is obvious that unity is never achieved by force but by choice.
Apparently, to achieve living and to continue as one in Nigeria, it must be a decisive operation and there must be a holistic agreement between these diverse and different ethnic nationalities otherwise, the system will be filled with chaos and disagreements of whose values and customs is to be accepted as the predominant one. For instance, the Biafrans, the Yorubas and the Hausas, have different religious beliefs, cultures and traditions which are in war with each other, for unity to take effect, all have to despise their own way of life and origin to concede to a new one that will be generally accepted.

Let us consider the implications, recently, a Christian woman went to the North in the same one Nigeria to preach the gospel as commanded by the Christian Bible, with the hope that the ideology of one-nigeria is intact and that the Nigerian law will protect her, but Muslims stoned her to death without even taking her to court in the same one Nigeria.

Months ago, one Bridget, a Christian from the East, was beheaded for the sake of preaching the gospel, which is the Christian way of life but she was accused of insulting a dead Prophet Abdullahi Muhammadu - the founder of Islam, and till today no justice have been witnessed against the evil and barbaric act, in the same one Nigeria. In Nigeria, the relationship between Muslims and Christians is even more dangerous than that of cats and dogs.
Countless times, churches have been set ablaze by angry Muslims and Christians have been slaughtered, no religion has shown the interest of unity. As Biafrans who are Christians, all our heritages have been destroyed and our values gone, no peace, no unity and we face death each day for being trapped by alien people with alien traditions.

The continued existence of Nigeria should be resisted by all men and women of goodwill around the world, so that all the inherent problems, deaths, sufferings and backwardness in Nigeria can come to an end. If anyone is standing for the unity of Nigeria which poses a threat to our heritage and existence, may God forbid that.
The unfavourable fraudulent union of Nigeria must be dismembered to enable everyone go their separate ways, to avoid conflicts of interest and to enable each region to develop with a pace that will be accommodated by its inherent customs and traditions.
