MEND: WHAT COULD POSSIBLY MAKE KANU RENOUNCE BIAFRA AGITATION?

The recent chicanery and unholy alliance between the Federal government and the Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta(MEND) who had entered into negotiations with the former without the mandate or authorization of IPOB has left much to be desired. This has prompted some notable freedom fighting outfits to come out and distance themselves from the activities of MEND.

The unimaginable and rather derogatory manner in which they called on the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to renounce Biafra as a prerequisite or criteria for his release from detention has gone further to clear the doubt and unmask the real face and personalities behind MEND.
If not for any other thing, it has exposed MEND as an internet tiger at the mercy of some criminal elements and unruly politicians from the North.

I do not well appreciate this sudden resurgence of MEND but for all we know, the MEND which was formed under ex-miliant Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo, had since accepted government’s amnesty in 2009, and has since stood disbanded from that moment.

The new internet based MEND through their utterances and actions has portrayed them as another arm of the APC government speaking on its behalf and under the whims and caprices of political miscreants from the North to sabotage the efforts of genuine freedom fighters and derail the consciousness of the people. At worst, they are not even fighting to emancipate the Niger Delta nor are they seeking to emancipate themselves but wholly working for the emancipation of those northern criminals whom has found them as willing tools for their evil machinations. Hence, it is not surprising that the FG through MEND reeled out a precondition for Kanu’s release.

This has shown that the FG has not been true and sincere to themselves. What has happened to the case they filed at the FCT High Court and the unprogressive manner in which it is been conducted?
So the question is, what would make Nnamdi Kanu derail or go back from pursuing Biafra’s freedom?
He has made it clear on several occasions that it is better for h to be lowered down in the grave than to even contemplate denouncing Biafra.

He did not renounce Biafra when he was kept in harsh solitary confinement or when he was maltreated by the unruly and evil men in DSS. To him, it is “Biafra or Death.” What MEND and the federal government failed to understand is that the quest for Biafra which Kanu represents has surpassed the evil machinations of humans and common men; it has become more of a spiritual affair that cannot be quenched.

It's illuminating light is so powerful that it cannot be extinguished by mere mortals. This legitimate struggle has become so powerful and encompassing that it cannot be suppressed or stopped because it has become our pride and who we are. It is therefore unimaginable for Kanu to renounce the agitation to free Biafrans from the British enterprise; Nigeria.

We are yet to behold that which will make IPOB leader renounce Biafra which its pursuit has already claimed many lives and properties under the current administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Nnamdi Kanu did not retract or look back on Biafra when he was persecuted, dragged and spun through the wheel of pain at the DSS facility. So what could make him change his mind now? Do all you can, but you will be wasting your time because he will never consider such option.
