BREAKING NEWS:

HUNGRY NIGERIAN POLICE RELEASES 7 KIDNAPPED IPOB BRETHREN IN A HURRY: EXTORTS N20,000 FOR THEIR FREEDOM: AVOIDS THE WRATH OF ANGRY BIAFRANS

25th August 2016

Information reaching the desk of Biafra Writers has it that the 7 Indigenous People of Biafra brethren, who were arrested at 7pm yesterday, Tuesday, 23rd August 2016, by a group of Nigerian Policemen from Area Command, situated at Central Police Station (CPS), Aba, have been released.

Their release was perfected earlier today after due clearance by the police.

Recall, that the 7 IPOB brethren including their Coordinator was arrested last Tuesday by men of the Nigerian Police Force, after their dismissal from a normal family meeting at Osusu Zone Aba, Abia state.

According to a phone chat with the Osusu zone Coordinator who was one of the arrested brethren, he stated that the police have no reason for arresting them, adding that it is a normal scenario in Aba where policemen go about with buses, arresting innocent civilians and demanding for ransom before their release.

He nevertheless, stated that they were not allowed to go until they gave up a total sum of N20,000 (Twenty thousand Naira) as ransom before they could be finally released.

Just as we earlier informed the public, it is now clear that these hungry policemen are on a hunt for food and money considering the harsh economic crises currently bedeviling the country because recently, the Attorney General of the Federation has ordered the release of all pro-Biafra agitators in detention. It is, therefore, an invasion of citizen’s privacy and against the law of Nigeria, to arrest people whose gathering is lawful and does not portend any harm to the public.
