The Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, is a name that represents all ethnic groups in Biafra; the soul of the recent agitation for the restoration of the Sovereign State of Biafra.
IPOB is a body recognized by the United Nations (UN) and other human rights organizations, like Amnesty International, Human rights watch and others.
After the Nigerian government had successfully incapacitated the vision and activities of many previous Indigenous Biafra movements (through intimidation and bribery) like the Biafra Zionist Movement (BZM), the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) led by Raph Uwazuruike, the Lower Niger Congress (LNC) etc; IPOB, with her recent campaign positions to be a threat to the Hausa-Fulani continual enslavement of Biafrans and a scheme that has hackneyed age-old prejudices established to perpetually divide and rule Biafra.

IPOB has been established in over 88 countries of the world and has, since its leader was kidnapped and later detained in Nigeria on the 14th of October 2016, conducted a record peaceful protest all around the world.
After Lord Lugard’s 1914 amalgamation of the Northern and Southern protectorate, which was effected to last for 100 years, Biafra’s attempt to exit from the contraption claimed the lives of over 6 million Biafrans from June 1967 till date.
August 30th, 2015 marked the beginning of undisguised and undeniable renewed killings of Biafrans in Nigeria on the account of Self-Determination. 9th February 2016 (Aba massacre) and 30th May 2016 (Onitsha killings) are two other remarkable instances of unprovoked killings of Biafrans by the Nigerian forces.

Numerous arrests, secret executions, incarceration, and kidnappings have resulted in the death of over 2,000 Biafrans, about 1000 missing and over 500 in detention from August 30th, 2015 till date.
On two different occasions, Amnesty International has reported and validated IPOB’s claims of these atrocities. IPOB has also reported these violations to all human rights organizations for proper investigation, trial and prosecution of the characters behind these acts.
Despite these brutalities, IPOB has maintained a peaceful approach to seeking Biafra’s freedom. This peaceful approach has proven to be a nimble-witted strategy against the Nigerian State that is desperate to tag IPOB a terrorist organization.
Most recently, Nigeria resorted to the creation of non-existing factions of IPOB which are only found on their television screens and the pages of the newspaper. She has created The Rebranded Indigenous People Of Biafra (TRIPOB), Reformed IPOB (RE-IPOB) and is still in the process of creating more all in her bid to divert the attention of the international communities from the major demands of IPOB and the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) –which is the release of the leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, and the freedom of Biafra from Nigeria.

TRIPOB and RE-IPOB are groups that are imaginary; their leaders are invisible and their followers, fictitious. Though Nigeria claimed it broke out from IPOB, but from IPOB’s last count, her Deputy Director is not missing, Spokespersons are actively on duty, no country nor state coordinator has resigned and no principal officer has denounced his loyalty to the leadership of IPOB.
IPOB dares Nigeria to expose the faces behind this mythical TRIPOB and RE-IPOB. We urge these invisible men created on the minds Buhari and his cohorts to deceive the gullible Nigerians to come to the public and state their positions in IPOB before they left, what they achieved in IPOB and what they hope to achieve in the future with the Nigerian government.
At this point, it will only be a re-echo for IPOB to affirm that Nigeria is indeed a corrupt and fraudulent country. David Cameron, the former Prime Minister of United Kingdom, best described Nigeria when he tagged it a ‘’fantastically corrupt’’ country. Nigeria and her media were founded on falsehood and IPOB have risen to expose her to the world with the truth.
IPOB hereby urges the International Communities to totally ignore and disregard these unfounded claims and falsehood peddled by Nigeria and her paid media outlets. Nigerian media is unprofessional, disreputable and unethical.
IPOB IS ONE AND UNITED UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF NNAMDI KANU.
