TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO CITIZENS ASKS GOVERNMENT, UN TO HELP RESTORE BIAFRA.

The good citizens of Trinidad and Tobago sympathetic to the Biafran cause and plight of Biafrans in Nigeria has called on their government and the United Nations to wade into the Biafran cause with the view of restoring her sovereignty.

The call came on the heels of the celebration of the 50th year anniversary of fallen heroes and heroines since the end of the Biafra genocidal war which was observed by Biafrans in Trinidad and Tobago.

It was also in view of the same celebration in Nkpor, Anambra state which was marked with violence and Nigerian security forces’ brutal killing of not less than 53 Biafrans in the country.

The good citizens as reported by CNC3; a Television station based in Trinidad, reached out to their government and the UN asking them to return Biafra to its sovereign state.

This year’s Biafran fallen heroes day was observed in many countries where Biafran reside but no casualty was recorded except in Nigeria where the combined team of Nigerian army and police, civil defense and military police brazenly shot at peaceful Biafrans whom had converged to commemorate the 50th year anniversary of their fallen heroes.

After the Biafran war  1967-1970 which claimed about 3.5million lives in the assault perpetrated by the then Nigerian Military State with full support of the British, some died on starvation and malnutrition.

When Biafra was annexed back to Nigeria, their properties were confiscated and declared abandoned by the Nigerian military government.

They were left with nothing which warranted a huge number of them to migrate to other parts of the world for survival. The three R’s of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Reconciliation was never implemented.
