From the left: Kachikwu Ibe The Petroleum minister, Muhammadu Buhari And Mohammed Sanusi Barkindo |
On Thursday, June 2nd, 2016, a new Secretary-General of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Mohammed Sanusi Barkindo, was appointed. Mohammed Sanusi Barkindo who is from Yola in today's Adamawa State will have his appointment run for the next three years.
Recently, he was quoted by the press as saying that the carrot and stick option is the way forward to the militancy in the Niger Delta region. Barkindo said this while addressing State House reporters yesterday after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.
Answering a question on how the federal government could tackle attacks on oil installations in the Niger Delta, he said it would not be appropriate to comment on the issue as he learnt that negotiations were on-going. He however suggested thus: “For me, based on my own experience here, the option of carrot and stick, as they call it, I think is the way forward.”

Mohammed Sanusi Barkindo's application of the word "carrot and stick" is an idiomatic expression of rewards and punishments that influence someone's behavior. Thus, the OPEC scribe is indirectly telling the world that they have concluded arrangements to fight against the Niger Delta and "there is no going back" as he was quoted saying.
Nigeria we know is a war-hungry country, filled with people who take pride in spilling the blood of its "citizens" and it is only imbecilic people that would continue to embrace those who systematically kill them in the name of sustaining unity and oneness. It is never a crime anywhere in the whole wide word to be self-dependent. Only in Nigeria is self-determination considered a crime and taboo. Its government continually call for the heads of those who demands for freedom. They plot, scheme, and carry out their plans and boast about carrying out more devastations to silence their perceived enemies.

The world should be aware of the utterances of Mohammed Sanusi Barkindo, the new Secretary General of OPEC, who has finally met his brother Buhari to conspire on how to attack the Niger Delta of Biafra land on their God-given oil. For over fifty years, the Northern Nigeria rulers have been siphoning oil in that zone, there is virtually no atom of infrastructural, educational, and economic development in the area, rather what is left of the people are gross negligence, acute poverty and squalor while the Northern cities of Sokoto, Kano, Zamfara, Minna, Jalingo, Kaduna, Abuja, etc, were developed with the oil money from Biafra land.

A careful look at how Nigeria government sat down to share the oil proceeds shows nothing but tricks, subterfuge, and political slavery in full play! How can Nigeria government give thirteen percent (13%) to the Indigenous People whose oil have been used to developed all the Northern cities including Abuja? Is that justice? Does the way the oil money is shared reflect justice and equity? Why have the Niger Delta been neglected all this decades? Why have Nigeria government not listened to their cries and pleas before now?
The Northern Islamic politicians carefully used the Niger Delta against their other sister clans to get hold of their oil and used it to develop their region as they have done. They succeeded, and dumped them not even minding the ecological implications to the people of the area. When their wickedness began to be noticed by the Niger Delta elites like Ken Saro Wiwa and nine others, they conspired and killed them, using their Gestapo court system to make it look as if Ken Saro Wiwa who had been an activist for years in Nigeria and world over, was a criminal. What an evil creation (Nigeria) concocted by the British.

Today, the Judges that sentenced Ken Saro Wiwa and his kinsmen to death are alive and enjoying the oil money from Saro Wiwa's land. It is the same tactics that Buhari is using on Nnamdi Kanu, the Director of Radio Biafra and the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra. Buhari from every available record wants Nnamdi Kanu dead by all means, using the same court system Abacha applied on Ken Saro Wiwa and the Ogoni Nine. Up till now, Nigerian Judges are still bent on having monitary and positional rewards to pin down those who oppose the government's oppressive rules.
John Tsoho is at it again, after the Judges of Ogoni nine. But the big question now is, can they succeed this time? Especially now that money has exchanged hands among the conspirators who have been given appointments as a reward for their loyalty to Buhari to crush his perceived enemies.

Mohammed Sanusi Barkindo's idiomatic expression of using force on the Niger Delta Avengers and every other freedom fighting group is very well understood and we are waiting to see how it unfolds. Our watch word to Nigerian government is this: if what you have been doing in the entire Eastern region is justice, may you succeed. But if they are not, you must fall seven times before us. Since your only solution to the menacing situation on ground is the "carrot and stick" option and not the "peaceful" dissolution of this fraud created by Lugard, we Biafrans, in alliance with our brothers the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) have chosen "WAR" as our last option for Nigeria.
We have not cheated the Northerners, but they did cheat us. We have not claimed any of their God-given wealths, but they lay claims on our oil. We have not killed any of them in our land, but they kill us everyday and everywhere both in the markets, schools, churches, homes, and at work.
Killings have been their food and that is what Mohammed Sanusi Barkindo, the new OPEC Secretary General has just told the press. On justice we stand, and that justice is the restoration of the Sovereign State of Biafra. In Biafra, no man will oppress his neighbour, and no man will have control of his neighbour's God-given mineral resources as Nigeria is doing. It is injustice and can not be allowed to continue.
