NIGERIAN MEDIA AND GOOGLE IS CENSORING BIAFRAN NEWS COURTESY HITLER BUHARI

Censorship is a recurring problem in Nigeria regardless of the supposed freedoms expressed in the constitution. Both during periods of civilian rule and military dictatorships, the nation has never experienced a complete assurance of a free press. Government philosophy and documents may state press freedoms exist, but in the day to day affairs of life such freedoms fluctuate widely.

Recall on March 2016 at Aba, Abia State. Muhammadu Buhari ordered his men in uniform the Nigerian Army to harass Newspaper vendors and confiscate every paper bearing news on Biafra. The dictator-in-chief and a murderer, Buhari, publicly banned Nigerian media from carrying news on Biafra. Is this possibly democracy?

Muhammadu Buhari barred African Independent Television (AIT) crew from covering the functions of the President-elect. This is most unfortunate. The directive, which took effect on Monday, April 27th, 2015 was reportedly enforced when members of the AIT crew, who were at the Defense House to cover a meeting between Buhari and a visiting Cuban officials was allegedly asked to leave. Buhari needs to understand that the country's constitution allows freedom of the press as contained in Section 22 of the 1999 constitution.

Therefore, if Buhari's move to stop or hinder Nigerian media from covering Biafra activities, then it would be in gross violation of this section of the constitution quoted above.

Four years after Nigeria gained independence from Britain, the Nigerian Federal House of Parliament passed a controversial newspaper law. The Newspapers (Amendment) Act of 1964 imposed restrictions on the press in the new nation's early development stage. The act stated:

(a) Any person who authorises for publication, publishes, reproduces or circulates for sale in a newspaper any statement, rumour or report knowing or having reason to believe that such statement, rumour or report is false shall be guilty of an offense and liable on conviction to a fine of two hundred pounds or to imprisonment for a term of one year.

(b) It shall be no defence to a charge under this section that he did not know or did not have reason to believe that the statement, rumour or report was false unless he proves that prior to publication, he took reasonable measures to verify the accuracy of such statement, rumour or report.

This tyranny has gone beyond the shores of the contraption called Nigeria, as even google is not left out of Buhari's machinations. They now have their palms greased with millions of dollars, all in a bid to satisfy Buhari's evil ambition of filtering Biafra news. Before now, when you key in the word "Biafra" on google, every news that showcases Biafra in good light automatically populates, but now you can only find all of Buhari's lies and news aimed at smearing our image as a people on google.

This unprofessional attitude of Nigeria and Nigerians was the reason one of the country's most respected philosophers, Chinua Achebe, described the tragedy facing the press, thus, "listen to Nigerian leaders and you will frequently hear the phrase 'this great country of ours'. Nigeria is not a great country. It is one of the most disorderly nations in the world. It is one of the most corrupt, insensitive, inefficient places under the sun. It is dirty, callous, noisy, ostentatious, dishonest and vulgar. In short it is among the most unpleasant places on earth".

In spite of the framework that has been set in place for press freedom, Nigeria continues to fight to be able to publish opinions freely. Interestingly, Nigeria is no longer under the military dictatorship and this is why Hitler Buhari must jettison all military tendencies and embrace democratic tenets as a true converted democrat.

Recall that shortly after being declared winner of the Presidential polls by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the President-elect, Buhari, declared that he would be the President of all - for those who voted for him, those who worked and voted against him, and those who did not vote at all. We expect his words to be his bond.

Indeed, the future of Nigeria's democracy, Biafra independence lies in the objective analysis of situations by the media and that is why it must not be partisan in its reports.

In which ever way Buhari tries to obstruct the truth from resurfacing, Biafra from emerging as an entity, the killing of Biafrans by Fulani herdsmen and Buhari in various Biafra land including the prolonged detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the Leader of IPOB, truth must always find its way, and Buhari and his cohorts must definitely be put to shame.

Nothing can stop the restoration of Biafra. Not even banning of Nigerian gutter media from carrying Biafra reports can stop the restoration of Biafra!
