It is a natural phenomenon for any given people to feel bad when its government has paid a deaf ear to their cries. It is also an irresistible obligation for such people to take their fate into their own hands especially when such government neglect have reached its climax as in the case of the oil producing communities of Niger Delta.
A first time visitor to this areas under discuss here will not waste time to notice the physical degradation of both the land and aquarium of this people owing to the decades of governments' gross neglect and refusal to take appropriate responsibility in both the welfare and cleaning the environment.

It is based on this premise that various militants in the area came up. Some have aims and objectives that are clearly defined while some have not. One and the only biggest militant group in the area is the popular and most dreaded MEND. Its objectives among others includes " ... to localize control of Nigeria's oil and to secure reparations from the federal government for pollution caused by the oil industry.
In an interview with one of the group's leaders, who used the alias Major-General Godswill Tamuno , the BBC reported that MEND was fighting for "total control" of the Niger Delta's oil wealth, saying local people had not gained from the riches under the ground and the region's creeks and swamps." It is clear from the interview that the birth of militancy in Niger Delta was to fight for the welfare of the people, and not in any way connected to selfishness.
But this stainless objectives are currently under threat especially under Buhari's administration who pretends to be a Pius man he is not. He has been going round the world bribing some individuals to scuttle Biafra Restoration and there is every possibility that he would stop at nothing in trying to penetrate the well articulated Niger Delta militants, and bribe them.

If this is allowed to happen, God forbid, it will bring untold hardships and more political slavery to the people of the zone in addition to the ones they are already having. But if Niger Delta militants would stand their ground and show their bravery and discipline that they are standing for their people, and not for any selfish purposes that Buhari's government would want them to commit, the fraudulent government would bury their faces in shame.
Let us understand clearly that money is not everything. A man with money but without freedom is truly a slave even if he has the whole world. Money no matter the amount can finish and vanish into oblivion but freedom remains for ever. A free man can have as much as he wishes and can freely enjoy his wealth but a slave can never do that.
Our Niger Delta militant brothers should stick to their gun and stand up right to reject every advances of bribery that may be offered to them by the enslaving Buhari's administration whose "change" slogan was actually CHAIN(and not change) as we see it all this twelve whole months. A man who has nothing good can not give out anything good. This is the philosophy of life and the earlier we know this the better chance we stand to fight for our eternal freedom together.
