BRITISH GOVERNMENT CALLS FOR BIAFRAN REFERENDUM

BRITISH GOVERNMENT CALLS FOR BIAFRAN REFERENDUM

The ingenuity and tactics of the indigenous people of Biafra is second to non as it has started paying off.
The calls and protests by the Indigenous People of Biafra received some attention in the British House of Commons in their recent sitting.

In a motion called Early Day Motion 808 and titled Biafra Independence, Elliott, Tom moved a motion that urged the British government to support the bid for the creation of a Biafra Republic by urging the Nigerian government to conduct a referendum.

The motion which was supported by Kinahan, Danny read

“That this House recognises the calls for the independence of territories that constituted the Biafra Republic; acknowledges the Biafran issue could be improved with the cooperation of the Nigerian government by offering a referendum, and urges the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to use its diplomatic strength to assist in the resolution of this matter.”

There is, therefore, no doubt that with over 90 countries of the world backing Biafra independence, leaving Britain with no option but to move a motion for Biafra referendum, our labours for freedom is about to yield its desired result.

  4. That Biafra have her independence does not mean we could not have a good relationship with British and Islamic-Nigeria.. Nigeria is expired and we must forge ahead by our self-determination.. Millions of Biafrans have been killed for this freedom and we don't need a referendum to prove otherwise after all the British force us to be one Nigeria so as to help the poor north since 102years ago.. Free Biafra/Kanu.

  6. This news gladdens my heart - even though I do not see the news being carried by any of the zoo newspapers. By the way, we cannot wait for Islamic senators and legislators in National Assembly/Senate to give us referendum. We do have the capacity and ability to conduct a referendum, which will be conducted overseas as well. IPOB and all Biafrans must unite to make this call for referendum a success. We must be resolute to restore Biafra nation. We have suffered and died enough - 100 years of massacre and wasted lives and potential.

  9. it's good Britain help to create Biafra as an independent State. first it will give Britain a good image in the international Community. Today, many nations and people are seeing Britain as "oppressor". second it will significantly reduce migration and lost of lives in the sea. It will liberate Africa and create wealth for other nations who may like to come and do business. I thin UN will be happy to the narrative changed in Nigeria.

  10. I mean UN will be happy to see the current narrative changed in Nigeria. Even Nigeria will be happy to see herself give birth t a new Country. stagnancy does not bring growth. Northern Nigeria should not be afraid, if the cause of the fear is oil. God endowed the North with numerous untapped resources. Let's sit up and tap them. Let the separation be done in peace, so that the poor citizens can live in peace. We don't want war in Nigeria again. UN should be up and doing.
