BLOOD BATH AT BIAFRAN'S HEROES' DAY...AS NIGERIA ARMY GOES ON SHOOTING SPREES AGAIN
The much anticipated Biafra day celebration this year was greeted with an ovation as people throng all over nooks and cranny of Biafra land to Nkpor, the venue of the occasion. Prayers were offered in various churches for the souls of the Biafrans who were killed during 1967- 70 genocide by Nigeria soldiers.
Reports from various Biafra media says people attended the occasion in numbers. But as preparations were still under way yesterday in Nkpor, a combined team of Nigeria soldiers and police, stormed a Catholic Church premises where some IPOB members were waiting to embark on prayers and threw some canisters of teargas on them right there in the Church before shooting at them. Eyewitness narrated that more than twelve persons died in the Church while the happy trigger team of police and soldiers took the corpses of the killed ones to unknown destinations.

It was also reported that wounded persons were trailed to the destinations they went for treatment and shot at close range or strangled before taking their corpses away. "Some who survived the shooting were also arrested and whisked away in the police and army vehicles. Nobody knows where they have taken them to" said another witness who pleaded anonymity. This army shooting is coming following Buhari's Democracy day message in which he said Nigeria remains a country for those who are agitating for Biafra or Niger Delta Sovereignty.
Analysts believe strongly that the message Buhari gave was an indication that he is prepared to crush Biafrans again as he did during the civil war, using his disguised Book Haram boys in army and police uniforms to achieve that. What makes Boko Haram's killings in the churches different from the Nigeria army's killing in the church?

It would be recalled that Muhammad Buhari upon resumption of office, commanded his soldiers to shoot the Biafrans who were protesting for their inalienable human rights. Yet the same man was on air on Democracy day to tell the world that he is "Democratic" by delivering a smoothly written message which its contents are never understood by him. Today on Biafra's Hero day, another army spree killing took place in various locations of the land where army and police combined forces to unleash mayhem on the defenceless Biafrans who were neither armed nor even protesting!

Would the men of integrity in the society continue to keep mute and watch a blood sucking "president" and his army annihilate the Biafrans simply because they are asking for freedom? Would the international community sit on the fence and watch an Islamic jihadist continue to perpetrate genocide on Biafrans without saying a word or intervening? It is high time the International Community, UN, EU, AU, and other humanitarian bodies who hate injustice being done to the Biafrans, begin to speak and not only condemn this atrocity but make sure that Biafra freedom is achieved and the perpetrators of genocides and war crimes are punished without fear or favour.
Let this shooting that took place today be the last straw that will break the camel's back so that Buhari will understand that self-determination is never a crime, he should bury his pride and let Biafra go.
