It is commendable to learn that the International Criminal Court (ICC) has risen up to its responsibilities - the prosecution of human right violations, which it has commenced in Nigeria. With this visit to investigate the complaints laid up so far, bordering on the violation of human rights and crimes against humanity, there would be more confidence in ICC’s willingness to prosecute these crimes in Nigeria. With assurances, the evidences of crimes against humanity in Nigeria are not far fetched, hence investigators will not depart Nigeria without finding further overwhelming evidences of human right violations.
Investigators should be reminded that the task ahead is an honourable one - for the preservation of lives and properties, be also aware that the job is an effort to redeem the oppressed and not an opportunity to be favoured by the oppressors. Hence the investigators are urged to resist any attempt to be compromised, demoralized or be intimidated in this honourable objective. They should understand that majority of the gross violation of human rights in Nigeria, were perpetrated against Biafrans.

Investigators, should be reminded that in Biafra land, that there are innumerable evidences of human right violations, be reminded that Biafrans’ right for peaceful demonstrations have been opposed and also be aware that Biafran lives have been lost to the recklessness of the Nigerian government because of its vicious attempts to resist and violate Biafrans’ rights to self-determination.
Investigators are reminded that the rights of Nnamdi Kanu - the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has been reprobated by the Buhari-led government of Nigeria, who has continued in his gruesomely illegal approach to continue Kanu’s detention. Dear investigators, be aware that the predicaments of Biafrans started since 1945, remember that the genocide on Biafrans during the war in 1960s, has never stopped, Biafran lives have been pulverized, our children are being kidnapped and forcibly given to radical Islam. Fulani herdsmen graze with their cattle, destroy private Biafran farmlands and slaughter the owners at any instance of protest.
Biafrans have been massacred as sworn by President Buhari and there have been all kinds of intimidations and extra-judicial killings by his Armed Forces. Biafrans are all over the prisons in Nigeria for peacefully protesting for the release Nnamdi Kanu while some have been gruesomely killed for demanding their legal rights.
